I think it would be better to have the alias fees be destructive, rather than a lottery.
This may be better for scarcity longterm yes, also Auto Monkey's ideas for in wallet betting are def good ones. If you don't gamble just don't use the feature easy to solve  Being a non-gambler I would like to *not* see this in the wallet - so if this happens can we have the option to hide or turn it off so save annoyance. Other users may want this too if they've had a problem with online gambling and don't want temptation!! i would propose it being a separate application all together, for legal reasons as well as other reasons. having it tie INTO the wallet however would be interesting.. if sites could just use say an api key and secret in order for you to start playing.. or you could sign up/register/login using your neos wallet address, so your payouts would go to that wallet... then that would be something but to have it *IN* the wallet itself.. i don't see the reason. Plus the games don't have to be super graphic and complicated, just simple ones like dice/blackjack alone would be nice to have. Obviously yAK must know about the legal side a bit so let's just avoid stepping into a bad spot and do it the best way. |

wonder what dev is going to release at the end of the week any guesses ?  Decentralized marketplace I bet. Its doable, and we all know twoturtles is a fast coder and has funds behind him, plus its already in php and its a web wallet, perfect place to drop a marketplace. I got a feeling the dev has something up his sleeve. If he does, expect an isntant x40 of your btc investment  It is definitely on the list but I'm pretty sure a marketplace will take more time, possibly on V2.1 maybe. Who knows though, either way it will be solid progress, the alias function is much easier for people to stomach and is like having an address book rather than a long string of numbers to try and remember recipients by. |

Hey folks,
I wanted to ask your opinion of FrozenBit if you've heard of them or not - because I was recently contacted by them. The idea sounds pretty cool, but I don't want to pull the trigger unless you all think it'll be worthwhile for Neos. FrozenBit - in case you read this, I think your project sounds pretty cool but I generally don't consider integration with other projects or features unless my community gives the thumb's up or wants it.

if you mean should those things be added, yea, if you mean should they do an online wallet for neos, not sure the point, considering with what neos has so far it wouldn't be that much of a stretch to do it (and do it better) than what is offered by them. Agree with yak, it could just be a feature you add later Syntaks, but the idea has merit. |

You assume all miners are selling... They mostly are. Still some holders as well, but mostly sellers from the miners, and that is okay. Like Tempus points out, total amount mined only equals 1/6-1/7 of daily trade assuming all miners sell. Most sellls right now are people that bought in at 9000-15000 and now cash out x2 or x3. That was expected and i belive its good cause we most likely get more smaller bagholders / micro investors and get better distribution. Its better to have 1000 persons with 100 NEOS each then 1 with 100000.. Yes in some ways unless the 1 with 100000 won't sell because they know this price currently is 14x undervalue especially with the new things coming out. Neos has a ways to go before topping out. |

The fact is you can't stop people from manipulation, you can only not feed into it. I don't want it pumped personally and really with what's coming I think getting rid of it would be kind of a bad move. I'm really striving for real-world useability here and we'll have it. As well as some other features and services that will be neos-friendly and strictly neos for payment.

Yes, no major vendor wants the coin he accepted today to be worth something different tomorrow. They are not in the speculation business. Major vendors wants instant low fee exchange into FIAT.. For now. He has to pay his suppliers and workers in fiat. That increases the supply of the coin which lowers the price, but being able to spend the coin at the vendor increases the demand, so it balances out. Crypto will really take off when the primary laborer, the guy who picks the crops or assembles the product and thus has no one to pay but himself will accept crypto. But that's a very long way off. This is the issue I have when discussing the acceptance of BTC with some of my friends who run small businesses. They would love to accept an alternative form of currency, but tye would still need to convert it in order to pay for the goods they need to run their business. It's a trickle down effect. Suppliers at the top need to accept the payment in order for the buyer to make payment using BTC (or any coin for that matter). Sure, which is why I think it is better for a currency to be accepted by the lowest people in a society first, rather than an elite (us) first. Miners joke about whores and drugs but when you think about it, the whore likes drugs, and the drug dealer likes whores, right there you have an economy where the coins will be circulating as currency rather than just exchanged for some other currency. The barber needs to eat, the waiter needs a haircut, etc. This is why the wallet it all-important, it needs to be something that someone who isn't very smart and doesn't have the technical ability of a dev or even a miner can easily load and use. Preferably on a phone. Now that the Bitcoin wallet takes a couple of days for a new user to even load on a desktop, that doesn't look good for its future. This is why I think Neoscoin web wallet is such a big advantage, the more cross platform/device we can get Neos on the better for all involved. |

Small buy and sell walls popped up at 28100 sats and 28102 sats. Someone doesn't want the price to move  Only 15k NEOS up for sale orders in total right now that equals about 1 day mining production(14400) or about 1.25% of total NEOS in circulation. Show me one(1) other coin where only 1.25% is for sale at any given moment and i buy you a lifetime supply of cupcakes  All the short terms quick profit whores are out by now(almost) desperate "dump panic attempts" by twitter market manipulating bastard accounts etc only show the real interest in Neoscoin, all in this community know that long term = win and profit. I have a feeling people see the positive similarities between btcd and Neos, anyone who sold out of the other coin early learned their lesson with Neoscoin. The best really is yet to come, development and services are still rolling. |

neos is a strong coin with a strong graph. even if it dips i would see that as an opportunity to buy many more. it's stupid to sell this coin now to try to buy lower, because it is more likely to go way up instead and you will end up with less neos. it has potential to go to 1 million satoshis. you might feel bad for selling. imo, since you want to buy back, don't forget to do it before you sleep because when you wake up you might end up buying less coins than you had. This guy knows what's up! |
