I've resisted buying one so far, but if these are quite like people are saying I might have to order one.
562  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S9 - How to power in Canada? on: June 07, 2016, 12:33:42 AM
Dell makes a 750 watt titanium server. If it has the same pi out as the standard 750 watt dell it would be great.

If you give me the, dell part number for the dell your board uses I will try to figure out if the dell titanium has the same pin out

I believe that his old board used the Power Edge 2950 PSU.  I'm hoping for something similar to the 4k breakout boards where you can just stack or place side by side two 750s and the board plugs into both PSUs and bridges them for you or will it be something that you have to hardwire together yourself?

@generalalt. yeah I could use that in my friends office.

Sidehack is working on a dual Dell 750 breakout board with 10 PCIe connectors!

Hm... that is a good point.  It'd take a bit of rigging but you could use the 500W to kick on the 850W, but then you violate Bitmain's recommendation to have the controller power up last. With a bit more rigging you could probably cross-latch them to avoid that problem, but if you know enough to do that you probably also know how to wire in a 240V circuit.

I'm working on a redesign of my Dell 750W board and hopefully a new batch, which with that you could load-balance a pair on a common rail and get 1500W with 10 cables off 120V for about a hundred bucks. Too bad a full production batch is more than a month off.

This is exactly what I've been looking for.  I'll be waiting anxiously for this.  Perfect right after the halving too so we know where BTC prices, difficulty and hardware stands.

Oh man I missed the release of this!

I see everyone still doesn't take into account when you buy something like this u tend to be REPLACING other equipment.
So to me $2100 is a steal, the equipment I sell I will get back around $1000.
no 220volt so I guess its EVGA 1600watt for $320 another costs to add on.
And selling off that other equipment drops the electricity used by so much for me. insane. ugh can't believe I missed this!
where are more! lol

Hope these don't fry like usual first batches.

I wished there was a 1600w 120v server PSU instead of having to spend $320 on the EVGA.

Looks like the same fans so I'm going to guess that they're just as noisy as the S7.  Can't wait to read a review on these but they are just too much for me to risk right now.

Thanks for the all the replies on the power supply.  I didn't realize the Enermax is multi-rail like the LEPA 1600.  I can't believe they raised the price already thought.   Cry

Anybody know if that Enermax will run on 120v?  If it's anything like the S2 PSI would imagine that it would but I just want to make sure.

You might want to also mention where you are located for a local sale since shipping would probably be expensive.

No reason to scam anyone, haven't in almost 5 years.. .. Didn't see any PMs from you, apologize if you sent.. Tracking LZ590602861US

LOL that almost sounds like you are implying that 5 years ago you used to scam people. I've purchased from padrino in the past and have always been happy with our deals.  I was tempted to pick up one of these but not sure I'm ready for a serious mouse like this.
571  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [FREE] Bitmain S7 Coupons - about 400 left... on: May 10, 2016, 01:06:52 PM
Looks like a new batch is up and back with two fans.
572  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S7 burnt probably on: May 10, 2016, 01:10:42 AM
I would just plug a PSU into the controller and none of the hashing boards to see if the controller lights up and the fans spin.

Glad to hear you got your compensation Phil.  I just hope that they are fair to all their customers that are owed compensation.
575  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: April 27, 2016, 09:50:11 PM

Another view showing the side by side setup better.  Unfortunately I can only run one miner at a time at this location because I only have one ethernet connection here, so when it's hot I run the S5 but slide it back so that it exhausts out the wall vent.  R-Pi controller draws 2.6 watts, wish they made an inexpensive meter for the 240v line, all I could find were in-line devices that cost on the order of $100.  I am moving next month and will have a new laundry room to turn into a home mining area.  Cool

Just get a small 4 port ethernet hub there and you can have both of them running if you have enough power.
576  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Solar array starting to look good. on: April 26, 2016, 12:20:17 PM
I have been talking with bitmaintech's Yoshi.

I may finally get compensation on my  batch 1  s-7.

If so I would set it up here.

Wow awesome!  Glad to hear that.

Hello,

I just received a large shipment of J4bberwock 2880 Watt Breakout Boards for the Bladecenter H PSU. I have been out of stock of these for a long time and they usually sell out fairly quickly. I just wanted to give people a heads up that I have them available, in stock, for same day, US shipping. Currently there is a coupon code " Ethereum " listed on the top of my website. Available Breakout Adapter Boards Only, Board and Cables, or Full Kits including 2880 Watt Power Supply.

The pictures look at little off and show only 8 PCIe plugs.

I had a s7 die on me today. No lights, fans etc. Checked the power supply and that's not the problem. Any suggestions?

So you have tested psu to make sure it is putting out proper power?  What did you do to check PSU and rule it out?

But to die off totally is rare more often its a blade or something.  For no lights and fan's or anything I would give psu another look over.

Thanks for the response. I hooked up another power supply from a running s7.

If you're out of warranty I would say try swapping the controller board from the working unit on to the dead unit.
