because they posted it on their twitter account today https://twitter.com/VanigPlatform
Vanig promises the end of fake reviews. that will be great, I'm really looking forward to it

Maybe fake reviews exist but there are measures by amazon to combat those like a review is only made by someone who made a purchase. I understand the centralized nature of Amazon might be a concern; but i don't think it is a major problem. However I am curious to see how Vanig will approach that?

There was a major issue with fake reviews on Amazon not that long ago.  There's companies that sell 'Reviews' so it can very missleading to consumers when a product is 5/5 in reviews, but realistically is a 1/5 for quality.
I think it would be great if VANIG gets rid of that, people watch reviews to maybe invest in something and if it is fake they can lose a lot.

Yeah.. Fake reviews have eaten deep into the e-commerce world and tend to mislead many people into buying not to good products it is going to be a tough task for vanig but i believe they can combat it.

Well considering that it is based on the blockchain, anyone who leaves a review you would be able to see and follow their transaction to verify that they did indeed purchase the item.
1362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IoT-Chain on: June 21, 2018, 06:57:51 AM
IoTchain has a healthy community with more than 60k on telegram, around 8k in Wechat&QQ, around 20k in twitter and around 1K in Reddit. This is very impressive well done team.

I'm really glad to see the growth that has occured since I joined the project, it is really impressive and I hope they can continue to excel

You are right, the project and the community grow continuously. I hope that IoTChain can close the gap to other IoT projects regarding marketcap very soon.

The figures are really huge, i think they got huge numbers because of the bounties they have been doing. The bounties have really gone a long way in growing the community.

i think the important thing is that the channels are active as well.. I've seen alot with like 20,000 members from airdrops, and only like 2-3 people ever talking.  Looks really bad on the project.
1363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡️⚡️⚡️[ANN] [PRE-ICO] LendsBay | Credit ecosystem on: June 20, 2018, 08:59:15 PM
A good recent video uploaded from the Lendsbay team - check it out here @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DKhGXN4uOo&feature=youtu.be&a
Really short video, but it really explains a lot about lendsbay and I also notice the channel has lots of subscribers. Thanks for putting up the link.

That’s true actually, I didn’t realise when I first saw the video that LendsBay have over 9,000 subscribers on YouTube, that’s a great audience considering there are relatively few  videos on their account.

Not just for so few viewers but so early in the project I’ve seen other ICOs that even much later barely break 5k and their at this point so close to breaking 10k

Nice thanks.  I find alot of people can't be bothered with reading whitepapers etc anymore, so I think it's increasingly more important to have video media that explains the basics of your projects also.
1364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Bittwatt - Energy for the 21st Century [@Bountyhive.io] on: June 20, 2018, 08:58:19 PM
Guys do you know the exact date when the Energy Exchange will be available ? On the site it says that it is coming soon ! But I am really curious.

Don’t believe an official date has been announced I’m sure theirs a lot of parts that have to fall into place including getting the energy companies onboarded and testing how the exchanges etc will work to assure no issues creep up

Hopefully this will be announced soon, massive news for Bittwatt when they finally reveal the date. The energy exchange is the main focus of the project so I can see the value of BWT tokens mooning.

Should not be far now given they were able to create the MVP in a short time. I am looking out for the partners they will be starting the platform with. I know they are operational in Romania but would be great to see whom will start in the network.

It’s funny that you mentioned they will be operating in Romania. I was just wondering to myself yesterday which countries Bittwatt will start off in!? Do we know of any other countries they will open up in?

I think it is just Bulgaria for now. I have not seen news about any other country. I might be wrong though. But they already have a deal in place with an energy company that will start accepting Bittwatt tokens, i think by end of june.

Kinda jealous that they get to be some of the first users to have access to it! Can't wait to see the B2B platform when it's up and running fully,.
1365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 [ANN][ICO] BITFENCE - REMOVE HACKERS FROM YOUR NETWORK on: June 20, 2018, 08:57:11 PM
Bitfence has updated on twitter about their device. Bitfence introduces "proof-of-threat" mining. Electricity costs to run for a whole year is $14.

https://twitter.com/BitFence_/status/1008931766340644864?s=19

thanks for sharing, again twitter doesn't show me all new Tweets.
That is really interesting, 14$ a year is nearly nothing. i like that

and there is a picture of the stingminer, in near future i have my own at home:-)

That is pretty awesome! Some miners cost thousands of dollars to run. To see Bitfence offering a far cheaper and more unique way of 'mining' tokens should help the team be very successful with it's sales.

Would have been a huge breakthrough if other coin could be mined on this platform or using this method. It really would have help save on electricity bills pay and powered consumed.

I don't see why they would do this. The whole point of HNY tokens is so you can use them to purchase subscriptions and earn tokens using a VERY small bit of kit.  It would take you years to even mine $1 of BTC with a Rasperrypi, it's just not made for that.
1366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡️⚡️⚡️[ANN] [PRE-ICO] LendsBay | Credit ecosystem on: June 20, 2018, 06:35:26 PM
250k softcap at the pre-ico sounds very good for me. But a softcap of 10mio for the whole ICO? don't you think that's a little bit high?
and how high is the hardcap?

I read the whitepaper. There is a table there with amount of tokens being sold during every stage of ICO and price for a token. Here are my calculations:

Pre-ICO:
860 000 * $0.25 (presale) +
780 000 * $0.27 (week 1) +
740 000 * $0.29 (week 2) +
700 000 * $0.31 (week 3) +
670 000 * $0.32 (week 4) +
640 000 * $0.33 (week 5) +
610 000 * $0.35 (week 6) = $1 496 300

ICO:
27 000 000 * $0.37 (stage 1) +
23 000 000 * $0.43 (stage 2) +
20 000 000 * $0.50 (stage 3) = $9 990 000 + $9 890 000 + $10 000 000 = $119 770 000.

So the full token supply is $121 266 300. Can we call this the hardcap?

This is a big calculation mistake. 9.9+9.9+10 = 30 mil. Hardcap is 30 mil. Not sure how you end up in 119 mil.

and i really thought they have such a high hardcap. that happens if you do not recalculate yourself :-)
Thanks for checking, 30mio sounds a lot more plausible

That's always good, so 30 mill is the hardcap? that is not much at all. Whats the softcap? can someone remind me

Oh, sorry everybody who read this. Too many numbers... Thank you for noticing this. Now I know that recalculation of such things is always necessary. 30M is much more OK, I think.

30 mil hardcap and 1.5 mil softcap is super target which could be achieved without issue. Especially the project is well conceived and have good future also. With the experience of team, they really can move the project in a good way.

Lmao, I was about to say, how the hell did you manage to get $100m from 10+10+10! $30m hardcap isn't bad, it's the hardcap so it's not what they need to get the project to succeed.

I tried to find the Energy Exchange launch date or any information related to it. But no latest updated available for now. I dont think BittWatt telegram channel will be helpful due to lot of spam messages.

Spammers that's the reason why I don't like using their telegram channel, I wish they are organizing AMA that would be the best place to ask such questions.

An AMA on reddit would more effective if you ask me. It would also be used a reference for the future. Doing an AMA in telegram is a bit confusing and is not really organized. having to scroll through all messages to follow up.

i don't mind an AMA in Telegram as long as there is a follow up article on medium or the like that has all the best questions and answers.  But yeah, a reddit AMA might actually be a good idea for the team!
1368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 [ANN][ICO] BITFENCE - REMOVE HACKERS FROM YOUR NETWORK on: June 20, 2018, 05:19:29 PM
I’m hoping thebsting miner release will be able to spark the platform interest once initial reviews and impressions come in from people we should see I think a decent bit of positive response

A positive response from the sting miner will boost the community and also the token sale. Everything has been quiet lately i just hope they are giving their all behind the scenes.

I don't think there's going to be any issues with it, it's been in their private testnet for ages, and they even took it to the blockchain conference for their display booth to show people how it was working.

They wouldn't have taken it to the public if they were not sure of its absolute perfection. Even if it was 80% perfection, it would still have been a risky step to take.

When you say absolute perfection you sound like they have a technology for stopping hacker well I don't think so I believe they have a great tech but the effectiveness of their platform I believe will grow with time but nonetheless they are really confident about their tech.

You probably misunderstood my point. By absolute perfection, I simply mean the devices doing to full standard what it is designed to do without any form of malfunction nor bugs.

I get your point and I trust bitfence team has this in mind as well, the team has been a bit quiet lately, I believe they are working tirelessly behind the scenes. The StingMiner will for sure create positive vibes for the project.

I think everyone just got used to the big level of communication they were doing before I’m sure when the team has more information to share especially from the stingminer they will be excited to announce it

Yea, communication is of necessity and i will encourage the team to do the needful, a lot of people take silence in a negative way, so no matter how strenuous the job is for the team, they should make out time to relate to the community, i understand articles do come up but personal communication with the community is very much preferred
I personally think they are great in communication they keep us updated on their Twitter and if we have question they answer it immediately on Telegram.

Likewise, the core team are on there 24x7 and are very helpful, and the actual bitfence admins are on daily answering questions, no issues from my side with their communication.

No date  has been revealed yet but I live the energy exchange is their key service so it shouldn't take too long to start operating fully.

Bittwatt intends to start in Romania on June 30th and from this day on customers should be able to pay their electricity in BWT. If the date holds, the Energy Exchange should go online either that day or just before

Oh awesome, so it'll be the first real world use of the coin.  The only issue that I have currently is, that for people to obtain BWT involves them swapping FIAT to BWT, alot of people are not going to want to do that unless there is some form of discount.  Maybe the companies could reward 'loyal' customers each month with a small amount of BWT, this could then be put towards the costs of their bills like reward points.

Haha. $14 as annual electricity charge for mining. Mehn, that's a bit of what what some other cryptocurrency cost for mining in a month. That's interesting.

The good side to this is that when you have opportunities for hardware implementation. so if Bitfence starts issues hardware with protection algorithm for enterprises that would be even more rewarding. It is great that they focused on the lower consumption aspect since mining as it is now is very costly.

Again, it is not 'mining' like other cryptocurrencies, it is not solving blocks on the chain and using an ASIC. It's a low power Raspberry pi device or equivilient that sits in your network, and for every fingerprint of a hacker you report back, you get rewarded, so you are basically 'mining' hackers, not blocks.  So there is no need for a huge power supply and power draw.
1371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IoT-Chain on: June 20, 2018, 07:08:06 AM
This could be the next big thing. Still have to wait until December but it will definitely gain more attention. Targeting smart technologies and renewable sources is the way to go. Efficient mining makes everyone happier

I think you are talking about manner launch in December? Yes, that will be very big steps for ITC, and everyone is waiting for this launch.
I am more excited about October as they are going to release the public test network according to their roadmap and will it only last a month?

Indeed, the release of the public testnet will be a milestone for IoTChain. I really want to know, if it works as easy as most people say.

I mean I don't see why not. It's just an OS level that bridges together your IoT devices to their network. It'll kinda be like a VPN for your IoT devices, except you get paid in ITC tokens for your device to be on the chain Cheesy

That sounds too good to be true
so, the more devices i have in the chain the more ITC i will earn? Show me the way to the next electronic-store:-)
or do I understand something wrong?

well the OS is meant to run on low power and low level hardware which is basically the nature of most of the IoT devices. You will be rewarded in ITC but I think the more people go onboard I mean manufacturer the better the reward.

It's in the whitepaper and the project details.  You get paid for your IoT devices that are connected to the chain for selling 'generalized' data. Your xbox is not going to earn you ITC lol

I just read in the telegram channel that yesterday BWT tokens worth $ 100K were traded on Coss. Now they can apply for a listing on CMC. I would be very happy, then I do not always have to look at Coss, how much a BWT currently costs

In a day? CMC requires that much volume in a single day, not over the period of the project to my understanding. if that's the case then that's awesome and I can't wait to see BWT on CMC, wonder if it'll be in the top 100.

i thinks it' s100k in a single day. The trading competition certainly helps to generate a lot of trades.
I also participate,  but apparently others buy and sell more than me, since I was in the top 30, I fall further and further back

I just checked and it it's had over $130,000 volume on coss in the past 24 hours, so it does meet the requirements for listing finally! Just need to get one of the team to submit it now.  And yeah you'd need to be trading a hell of alot to win that competition lol

Thats the amazing thing about being able to run it from a beagle board or Raspberry Pi, it's such a low power draw that it's barely going to be noticable (I bet you'll make more than $10 a month from it mining)

Listing at CMC will be awesome news for Bittwatt if that happens. But do Bittwatt team have any such plans to list BWT at any such exchange?

They are currently in the process of auditing with Huobi exchange, from the Telegram group it looks like there was an issue that delayed them, and it's of course on Coss.io and their own beta exchange.

I am sure they are working really hard and maybe that is why they don't have much time to let us know what they are working at. We just have to be patient i guess.

i asked for an update in the telegram channel this morning, the team are still working on alot of stuff in the background from the conference they went to, so Im sure we'll be seeing some awesome news soon. Smiley
1377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡️⚡️⚡️[ANN] [PRE-ICO] LendsBay | Credit ecosystem on: June 19, 2018, 07:44:45 AM
I am bit confused here, On their homepage, they mentioned Current price  0.27$ (-45%). So I understand the price is 0.27$ but in bracket what is the meaning of -45% ?

I think in brackets is the current Bonus of 45%. The token price is 0.27$. Otherwise it makes no sense. I thought the Pre—ICO starts later today. A bonus of 45% is still good.

Exactly. That's the meaning. You get 45% bonus of what you purchased. That's just 5% short of half your purchases. That's really nice I must say unlike some projects who give ridiculously  up to 80%.

I believe project that offers 80% or more are really not solving a serious problem so in effect they are giving more bonus to attract investors but this guys have a great concept so 45% is a clear indication that lendsbay is a serious project.

I don't see why offering a large bonus for early adopters or investors means that it's not a 'serious' project. 45% is still a substantial bonus and there is far more in my opinion that makes a project bad except the bonus they give.  For example if someone cloned ETH, and only offered a 10% bonus, does that mean it's a 'serious' project?

I always read that Bitfence will block the IP address of identified hackers (this lock will be sent to the entire Bitfence network within seconds)
But how do they proceed if the hacker gets another IP?

Nice question, hackers are known to spoof ips For all we know one hacker can try as many as 20 ips  and hacking is a real time process I don't know how bitfence is gonna handle  multiple hacking scenario.

I am here wondering how they  will get the exact ip address of a hacker who uses tor network for anonymity and also has 2 to 3 infrastructure from which he can penetrate and hack from. Hacker's are not that dull. Bitfence might end up blocking the wrong person.

I think it would mostly evolve around pattern detection. In many cases there are patterns for hackers or let us say ports and specific files targeted that will allow panetration; I think the focus would be on those; IPs of hackers are constantly changing to have a white/black list is a legacy approach.

They've already covered this. it blocks by a fingerprint and not just the IP address.  because it's so easy to spoof IP's and mac addresses etc, they'll be using a combination of things that together identify that hacker. Id suggest reading up on the stingminer and how it works.
