1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: THE MOST PAINFUL DAY IN MY BETTING CAREER on: September 21, 2020, 07:36:01 PM
If you play big, you might win big but also lose big time. Sooner or later we all face the loss, sometimes even bigger than we envisaged or can take. But that is the risk we all need to count, it's inevitable. On the other hand we all need to know our limits, taking exaggerated risk is not a smart thing to do.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin difficult to understand on: September 21, 2020, 05:15:43 PM
From the pure technical point of view it might be hard for some people to understand Bitcoin, especially if they don't have previous knowledge about digital technologies. On the other hand it's not so hard to learn the basics and understand how it's functioning in practice. There are some simple ways to explain to majority of people everything they need to know about Bitcoin, even to the people who are not so technical.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About Dice Games and Yolodice . Best strategy?? on: September 20, 2020, 07:40:21 PM
Even that 10% chance of losing is still risky since you said that you bet half of your stash so if a certain bet or roll that you made and that bet is one of the bad bets in that 10% chance of losing then you'll lose that amount and your profit will decrease of course. 1/2 stash is still high in my opinion and it's much better if you bet 1/4 or 1/8 if your capital is high.

Some people just like to bet with high risk. I agree that 10% is still rather high but for some it's acceptable. Some think if they risk big they might win big, so estimstion is individual and for some high risk makes more adrenaline and more satisfaction in playing.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it possible for Bitcoin to fall and become worthless? on: September 20, 2020, 09:51:35 AM
In theory everything is possible, especially for the coin that is not regulated or protected by any government authority. But in practice this is not likely to happen.
As long as there are users willing to pay a price for Bitcoin that is determined by market, Bitcoin will have its value. Also, I don't believe that Bitcoin value can be destroyed with strong, coordinated hacker attacks as some say.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What to expect in soccer this season on: September 19, 2020, 09:47:31 PM
It will be different from any other season. No audience and strict epidemic rules that might become even harsher with coming of fall.
Without audience and lack of competitions some teams might get demotivated and their paycheck might get lower too.
I think soccer will survive although with severe consequences and the question is whether we will ever get back to normal.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who sets the bitcoin price? on: September 19, 2020, 06:55:48 PM
It seems that this question is bothering some users from time to time. If you are focused on traditional finances it's hard to be convinced that Bitcoin is independent currency that is not tied to any financial authority, central bank or similar. Some even think that whales control Bitcoin fully including determing of price. Some also believe that some individuals or organisation are standing behind Bitcoin and influence the price.
For nothing of that there is no proof so Bitcoin price is defined by market, by demand and supply ratio.
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Legit trading courses on: September 18, 2020, 08:08:44 PM
There are some quality online courses that can help you with basics about trading but it's very important to know how to choose them. Like with any other subjects there are also s lot of fake or confusing information.
Also, it's very important to know that such courses will not actually teach you how to trade or guarantee you the profit, the real hands on experience you will need to get on your own.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: sell now or you WILL regret it on: September 17, 2020, 07:45:02 PM
To my opinion there is no need to sell now. The fluctuations and corrections of price will continue in the next period but I don't expect some major dump. Also, at the moment we can see slightly and slow price growth, which I prefere more than fast pump, so unless there is no need it's better not to sell. So, have a little patience and don't rush with selling decision.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting: how much knowledge is too much on: September 17, 2020, 06:44:17 PM
Knowledge is somewhat an advantage to choose whos probably win but I don't think there is a method to help increase our chances to win. Because for me, I usually considered the odds especially when both players or teams are good, and I notice that the result is just 50/50.

In sports betting, not all of these things will help you out from losing, it surely it got you sometimes. You might win today and you might also lose in the next bet. We all not be a lucky person all the time.

Not every time but with knowledge you are giving yourself a much better chance.

Choosing the games and the players or teams are much easier if you have a good knowledge with the games that you
are participating, you are also giving yourself much lesser worries unless shits happened and frustrates you up.

Yes, knowledge gives you better chances and self confidence and that is good. In sports betting you can always use your knowledge in good way but unfortunately you can't rely only on that.
With some knowledge you also have the feeling that you risk less but sometimes that can be misleading and that will not help you winning all the time.

11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you thought you had found the real satoshi with 99.9% certainty ... on: September 16, 2020, 07:55:15 PM
No one didn't reveal thre true identity of Satoshi and no one will unless he wants it to. He knows how to hide himself and he has full right to do it
Revealing his identity isn't crucial for Bitcoin community and I can understand curiosity but really people should be less obsessed with the fact who Satoshi really is.
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: 3 reasons for the recent fall in the price of Bitcoin to the level of $ 10,000 on: September 15, 2020, 07:37:52 PM
It's very hard to say with certainty that this or that particular reson affected the price and caused corrections. Market is always unpredictable and price is defined by multiple factors and circumstances. We can discuss and speculate about it or guess why people decided to sell or not and what was exact impact but we will not reveal exac cause.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do think about skill games? on: September 15, 2020, 04:29:17 PM
I think that many gamblers like skill based games, including me. It's a kind of challenge and you get a feeling that the final result depends on you after all and not only on luck. It's also a test for your skills and capabilities so I guess there will be a lot curious players interested. Just make sure to get the good promotion and some attractive offers.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: If these resistances are broken, the price of bitcoin could reach $ 16,000 on: September 14, 2020, 07:31:03 PM
I"m not so confident about such price rise. $16k is quite a growth compared to current price and that will not be easy and fast to achieve. Even if the Bitcoin touches that value I don't think it will last for long, we saw recently how Bitcoin is struggling to keep the upward trend and how fast and easy corrections take place. At the moment I don't think that $16k is possible it will be hard enough to get to $12k or $13k.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any truly safe bets in sports betting? on: September 14, 2020, 03:46:30 PM
There is nothing safe in any kind of betting and sports betting isn't exception, risks are always present. Unless you play on arranged and fixed matches and that is illegal. No play you choose can't guarantee the winning only.
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: When we will see $12k Bitcoin once again? on: September 13, 2020, 07:45:10 PM
We"be had the price of $12k recently but it didn't last for long. It seems that is one of the main problems with Bitcoin price, even after a growth it pulls back again rather fast.
For a while I think that price will stay in current range and some growth is possible too but it will probably be followed with corrections.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Police Raids and kids involving spider betting. on: September 13, 2020, 10:00:47 AM
I think this is the matter of social gathering rather than the spider betting itself.

Unless gambling is banned in your place, I don't think spider betting is that bad. As a kid, we've been doing that for years and we don't have a problem with that to the authorities. The barangay captain of our place even joins with our fun by cheering with us. It is just we are hard-headed and loves letting these spiders fight, that is just it.

Anything is bad if gambling is illegal at the current situation, though this is just a spider betting but I'm pretty sure there are big bets involve in this game. Once a kids game but is now popular from gamblers already, police would not capture these people in the picture if there's no big money involve.

When police gets involved that is not only in cases when gambling is illegal. There are cases when gambling is misused for some other forbidden activities like scams and frauds or even money laundering. I guess in this case big money is involved and there is probably something illegal in the way how they got to it
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 Ways to Hack Bitcoin on: September 12, 2020, 08:04:21 PM
Bitcoin Clipper Malware: changes the bitcoin address of the recipient from the original.

That is interesting way of attack and also seems very dangerous. How it could be discovered and how to avoid address to be changed, that is what I would like to know.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Problem Gambling in the wake of covid-19 on: September 12, 2020, 05:35:19 PM
If you are jobless person, you only have your own savings and you have a family to raise, it is much better to use your money to provide their needs instead of risking your money on playing gambling without any assurance of winning your game. When you lose your game you will regret it because you will earn nothing but you also lose your money with nonsense thing. What you have to do is to look for a job or put up a business instead.

That is just true but people that are actually addicted to gambling won't realize this. What matters to them is that as long as they can bet or gamble, they will be facing the problem of their family or their needs after gambling because their priority is gambling. Actually some people can't stop gambling that is the reason why some actually make some solutions like adding more shifts to earn more money they could use to gamble.

Some can't even identify themselves as an addict, how can they really know what to do with their money anyway? I've read that some addicts have their own reason why they are addicted to gambling, and it will never be a reason for them to stop gambling just because they are losing money. Or it will not make them realize to invest in a business or etc. A pandemic wouldn't even stop them from gambling. If the addiction is already hard to control, they needed a professional help, but they themselves first must accept that they are an addict.

That's the thing, the problem is how they can accept they are addicted if they themselves doesn't recognize they are already addicted. It's sad that they are justifying what they are doing even though it's already obvious that they are already addicted in gambling, they may not see it but it's visible to other people especially for people close to them.

That is why admitting to yourself that you have the problem and that you are addicted is the key and also the half of solution. But it's very hard to get to that point and addicted gamblers often don't want help and don't want to listen their family and friends. To my opinion in the moment when your world starts to turn around gambling and that becomes the most important thing in your life, it's time to stop.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The first Croatian crypto stamp on: September 11, 2020, 07:42:27 PM
Actually this is the continued activity of Croatian post towards cryptocurrency. Besides the crypto exchange that already exists, as far as I know, now the stamp is also part of promotion and the fact that the post is government owed gives some special touch to that. Let's wait how they will surprise crypto users in the future.
