761  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin ever get past $10K? on: May 25, 2020, 07:10:07 AM
So close but so far away, that can be said for 10000$ value.
Bitcoin price is always somewhere nearby, fluctuating between 8000$ and 9000$ but 10000$ seems hard to.cross.
At the moment it looks like we are having another small correction so in the upcoming period we will probably not see Bitcoin price crossing 10000$, market will continue to resist.
762  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin ever be 20K USD again? on: May 24, 2020, 07:59:56 PM
That is hard to tell.
In the period when Bitcoin reaxhed that price that was certainly the peak that was result of current circumstances in the market and all favourable factors that influenced price in.such positive way.
Now the situation is quite different and we can all see that even 10000$ is barrier hard to cross so it's not easy to predict how the price will react. To my opinion there will not be some huge price jump in near future.
763  Economy / Speculation / Re: A shorting paradise: next target is 5.5k on: May 24, 2020, 06:32:06 PM
You are predicting an almost identical massive sell off similar to the COVID-19 scare panic dump? It will take some serious FUD for BTC to continue to drop lower than 8k.

The economy is reopening, and the bulls will be back soon.

If China and Europe and USA get second wave then anything is possible. Yes we have thicker skin now but we are out of reserves. Q1 GDP drop was massive. I dont understand how Q2 projections are so good since Europe and USA will be way more drastically hit in Q2 then in Q1.

These are just predictions but they don't need to happen. Also, I think that countries have learned a lot from this pandemic and they will be better prepared for the future. Also, they activated some financial mechanisms that will help them improve situation in Q2 and soften the GDP falll.
It's yet to see if this will be successful but let's hope for the best

As far as Bitcoin is concerned I don't see any possibilities for the moment for such a huge drop, 5500$ isn't realistic value for my point of view. Yes, some corrections are possibilities and will happen but despite that I don't expect such dramatic price fall.
764  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it time for us to get back to trading? on: May 24, 2020, 12:11:41 PM
To get back? What that actually means?
There are a lot of Bitcoin users who trade all the time. Of course, there are also ocassional traders who just chase some opportunities although that maybe isn't the best way to trade. To become successful trader you need to be present in the market all the time, watch the trends and get experiences. To my opinion successful trader needs some continuity otherwise that is just a part time hobby.
765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to answer when asked "Can I make money mining bitcoin?" on: May 24, 2020, 09:31:13 AM
In some time mining was profitable and many were into that business.
Today mining isn't profitable anymore unless you have big mining farm and these are not profit amount they used to be.
So, don't choose mining, you will not get the profit because your expenses will be much bigger.
Choose something else, like trading.
766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Creator Dead on Covid-19? on: May 23, 2020, 10:06:54 PM
So many different stories about Satoshi, so many conspiracy theories but this has really gone too far. It's obvious that people have very vivid imagination and this whole situation with COVID 19 obviously just was another trigger.
I don't see the use of such speculations and what purpose is actually being achieved.
767  Economy / Economics / Re: What online service / product would you buy in this recession ? on: May 23, 2020, 08:24:59 PM
Depends what do you have in mind, something that is necessary for the living or something that might be considered as investment.
I'm sure that majority of people in the current situation buys only what is necessary for them and their families and try to save as much as they can.But in necessary things usualy don't belong online services.
On the other hand, some want to take for their future somehow and investing might be a good idea, like in shares of some medical company that is neae the discovery for COVID 19 vaccine or cure.
768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Political Betting Around the World on: May 23, 2020, 04:34:46 PM
I think you are talking about the current situation going on in the world.I think it is a good idea if gambling casinos start to offer this kind of betting as it can be beautiful to bet on this kind of events. For example some countries in Europe are opening borders on May 29 some others are still thinking and betting when a certain country will reopen its borders.

At first it sounds a little bit strange. To bet on current political situation regarding pandemic and its consequences, probably makes some dillemas. Although people bet on everything I don't think there are online casionos ready to offer such kind of betting. It's quite risky and it's hard to make betting offers that are interesting and challenging enough, although in the lack of proper sport bettings, people might be interested in anything.
769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If War breaks out between China and the US, can China hack Bitcoin? on: May 23, 2020, 10:48:51 AM
This doesn't make any sense. War between China and US and Bitcoin, how is this all even connected? It isn't.
First of all I don't see a reason for war between China and US and despite rather bad relations between these two countries, wars don't start so.easy and something like that would probably turn into world war.
Also, Bitcoin doesn't have any relevance in regulations between these two countries so I can't see the point.
770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do online gamblers think about their privacy and anonymity? on: May 23, 2020, 06:55:35 AM
Well, I think that passionate gamblers don't think much about their privacy and anonimity, they are primarily focused on game, how to win and then withdraw the money.
But they should pay attention to their privacy and how their data are being collected and kept,. All legitimate online platforms are obliged by law and KYC is a must, also they need to protect your data but not all gamblers play in legitimate online casinos and there is a big risk of personal data abuse.
771  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading mistakes on: May 22, 2020, 09:16:33 PM
To my opinion some of the most often mistakes that traders make is lack of risk assesment and greed
They get in too easy thinking they can handle everything and want big profit really fast.
But that is a trap and maybe you can afford to fall into it once but not more than that.
Practice makes perfect, so they say, and successful trader comes with experience but that often means that some had to learn on many of their mistakes.
772  Economy / Speculation / Re: Possible to Manipulate bitcoin price?? on: May 22, 2020, 07:27:10 PM
Such theories about Bitcoin price being manipulated appear all the time. And the power of manipulation is often given to whales.
To my opinion whales are been given more significance than they actually have and I think that due to Bitcoin features and how it's functioning I think that the price is difficult to manipulate and that is often an excuse when price is in bad position.
So, manipulation of price is more a theory than fact.
773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IMF: The rise of digital currencies on: May 22, 2020, 05:19:29 PM
If under term of rise you mean that digital currencies are being more used then this is probably correct.
With development of new technologies and the fact that we are living in digital era then this is kind of logical path. Also, I think that all this situation about pandemic helped the rise of cryptocurrencies.
I think there is no way back and from current point we can only go further with more progress and more development.
774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling Games on: May 22, 2020, 01:47:35 PM
Blackjack would probably be the best one among the listed choices. Still you could've added a lot more ngl. Blackjack is fun because it let's you decide, think even when the game is on going. Sure, you lose a bit there but it still let's you choose whether you profit 50% or lose 50%. I don't even fathom why scratch cards are in there, I mean, are they enjoyable? Sure, once in a while, expecting something good to comeout is fun and entertaining but really, that feeling is retained only on the first few cards you play. It can't even entertain you for an hour. Crash and Hi Lo are kind off eh, they're fun in their own way but it's a waiting game after all.

And I think you have better chances of winning on Blackjack as compare to those luck back games. Also Blackjack is fun specially if the table is full with other players, and there could be strategy as well in Blackjack and if it fits you right then definitely higher odds of winning.

Another exciting game is slots, I don't know why the OP didn't include it and eve though chances are slim, it is very addictive and entertaining.

I agree both for Blackjack and slots, they are very fun and exciting. But just because of that there is a catch and users easily get addicted to them. So, making money is not the only motive and the more fun you have, the more time you will spend in this game and for the every next time you will think that is the right one.
775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Effect of the Bitcoin Halving on Online Casinos on: May 22, 2020, 12:03:55 PM
With the effect of the bitcoin halving, I think a gambler wants to move from using bitcoin to using altcoin because the fee for sending from their wallet to their account will be bigger. I see that the fee now is much high than before, but I think the fee will be reduced in the future so moving into altcoin will give them a chance to buy a lot of altcoin such as ethereum, litecoin, dogecoin and else and then send it into their gambling account.

Perhaps, people will use bitcoin as their investment, and they will use altcoin as the alternative to playing gambling. But for people who have a large amount of bitcoin, they will not think about that since they will not have a problem to send any bitcoin amount. We will see the effect at the online casino after the bitcoin halving.

Maybe, but this is then effect of halving on gamblers and their preferences in.using this or other cryptocurrency but I don't think there is impact of having on online casinos.
They develope further their business and their services according to the profit they make and their business plan not what halving brings.
Although, so far we can't see some bigger impact of halving mot on Bitcoin price neither on something else like online casinos.
776  Economy / Economics / Re: Fed concerns about US economy are a reminder that economy may never be the same on: May 21, 2020, 07:35:25 PM
All economies in the world are affected with consequences of pandemic and US economy is not exception. To my opinion real situation is about to see and at this moment it's hard to tell how deep the crisis is going to be and for long it will last.
Although US economy was among most successful in the world this is the situation where recovery will not come so fast. Also, to.my opinion US government didn't react on time and I'm not sure how much it can do to safe economy and speed up recovery. It might get worse than it seems now.
777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Underground Casinos Is it Happening? on: May 21, 2020, 06:10:25 PM
The local unlicensed casino are much more active than usual as people are at home and nothing to do. People feel a fake sense of security when you get involved within the local community and they do involve in such gambling. The most popular being different forms of poker. Though police are often raiding them if someone tipped them off.

People feel more secure and protected just because of the local component but only until something bad happens. Then they will realise there is actually no support and no one to complain to.
But sometimes people are so hungry for profit that they completely ignore legitimacy and safety even if that ends with huge inconvenience for them.
778  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beware of fake okex.com exchange on: May 21, 2020, 03:19:59 PM
Maybe it is better if you transfer this to Scam accusation section
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2409302

It is done already not with the OP but with the other person.

I have already reported this here, [SCAM]: Fake OKeX trading website.
okex.com exchange is one of the numbers of exchanges whos been clone by scammers. A lot of reputable exchanges been having this kind of trick and for sure a lot of people had lost their credentials. A tricky thing is that once we mistakenly input the wrong letter, it will directly send us to fake/pishing sites. This is to know that, anything illegal could possibly happen on the internet by now and it helps for the scammer still alive.

It is a good idea to bookmark the legit one to avoid getting pished. And we have to check first the site before login, this is to be sure that we are in the right place.

That is why security awareness is very important. People need to learn how to check the sites and what to look for. Scamers have more and more sophisticated techniques and it's not always easy to spot fake exchange on the first glance.
But it's not everything only up to users, exchanges should also pay more attention to security and warn their users when fake site appears and how to get to legitimate one. That is something that we still miss.
779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: App with a map of nearby people willing to trade bitcoin? on: May 21, 2020, 01:07:27 PM
"App to let criminals know where the easy targets are". Even turning it up once, while you are at home, is enough to put a mark on your back. And people generally don't exchange currencies that often, so there's no need for such an app. Existing solutions like forums, chat groups, social networks, etc. work just fine.

Yeah, it's too risky. Although at first sounds like a good idea security of people who would use it.is a big issue. They would expose themselves to a big risk, although I'm sure some would have take it. Even chats and forums are a risk because of scamers and with such app people would expose themselves even to physical risk, not worth it.
780  Economy / Economics / Re: There's no way this is a "V-shaped" recovery... right? on: May 21, 2020, 10:49:42 AM
To be honest I don't believe in V shape recovery. Having in mind current situation and some predictions for fall such rapid recovery would be too optimistic to expect.
It's yet to see all the consequences that economies have suffered and at this moment we can't see the whole picture. That also reffers to cryptocurrency market that will also have some indirect consequences and the whole impact is still hard to determine.
