201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Follow your mind! on: October 29, 2020, 09:03:17 PM
Borrowing money to invest is how you leverage your financial power. Borrowing is an investment professional's best friend. It is imperative to have a thorough risk management strategy, though or this "superpower" could transform into a "handicap".

I think point 2 and 3 from your list are the worst. Greed can make someone lose his mind. I know from personal experience. Always have a goal and KEEP YOUR EMOTIONS IN CHECK. I can't emphasize this enough.

Everyone has the right to his own decisions but I don't think that borrowing money to invest in Bitcoins or anything else isn't good idea. The first rule of investing is that you put the money you don't need. Risk can be too big and crash your ability to handle it so at the end you might find yourself in real problems.
202  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy every dip, and HODL! on: October 29, 2020, 06:04:45 PM

I wonder how much could a person have gain if they had done it from the very start and I think it is risky to do now.

The risk was extensively HIGHER 10 years ago, because no one knew what Bitcoin was, is going to be, or if there was going to be users, or if it actually was going to be useful.

Plus think of 10 years ago, who was this Satoshi Nakamoto? No one knew. "Was he a scammer?" Hahaha.

Exactly, 10 years ago Bitcoin was just an experiment and so few people even knew some basic information about it. First users were enthusiasts and believers but they were also risking s lot because no one couldn't predict that Bitcoin will come this far. Back then no one wasn't thinking about enormous profit and calculated things so far ahead, except maybe just a few visionaries.
203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling License on: October 29, 2020, 02:43:26 PM
Sometimes the first glance at a gambling site makes you want to go to Google and search for the reputation of this casino. At the same time, some gambling and betting sites are so popular that I have heard about them far beyond the bitcoin forum. When I chose a site for the game, I didn't even look at whether it has any license)
It is okay for me that you sometimes look for the license for your assurance. It is the thing that you may hold on if something gets fishy. So you will notice it easily if they will gonna run your funds. But if you did not leave any assets in your gambling site account maybe it is not needed so much.

You never know what might happen whether you have assets on the site or not. Although the license doesn't guarantee you 100% security and  scam free it's still some kind of recommendation. Personally I would feel more safe and protected and there are less chance that at the end you lose your funds or even have some troubles with law enforcement authorities.
204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: can i start a btc dice site with 30btc? i have 15btc left now on: October 29, 2020, 12:48:52 PM
why are all of u so focused on marketing. most of the sites i know dont even do marketing and they still have huge players. wolfbet is one

That is true but Wolfbet is successful and trustworthy for a long time now. It doesn't need to work on reputation and attracting new players. Also, they very often have campaigns here on forum.
But if someone tries to run a new site it has s very long and difficult road ahead and in that road marketing is very important. Although, only few survive at the end and become successful, so it's not an easy task at all.
205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Multi bets vs single bets on: October 29, 2020, 11:50:06 AM
I prefere single bets. Probably with multi bets there are better odds but I'm not se dedicated to gambling and don't do too many calculations and combinationd so single bet is my choice. I'm sure that professional and passionate gamblers are more into multiple bets.
So far on this thread majority of users chosen single bet as a preference, that can be a basis for some kind of conclusion.
206  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might never reach it's ATH anymore on: October 28, 2020, 09:14:22 PM
Everything is possible but I can agree that the level of 19-20000$ or more will not be easy to achieve. For a while we see how Bitcoin is struggling to keep the price at certain level and how long it took to cross 10000$ and stay above that value.
Nevertheless it's still worth to hold Bitcoin on long term and that will pay of, I'm sure of that.
207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling could be used to pay for covid problems on: October 28, 2020, 08:43:54 PM
I see positive the measures that the countries of Europe will take to regulate online gambling because this will guarantee that people do not lose their jobs due to the Covid19 pandemic now that Europe is experiencing the second wave of infections.
The advertising of gambling sites could be affected those that sponsor sports teams as an example as mentioned in the article.
But the legislation will take time, it only remains to know how the law on the regularization of online gambling will evolve and the repercussions that it will bring.

In most European countries gambling is already regulated. As far as I know gambling industry isn't excluded from the financial package that should help economy to recover from the pandemic consequences and to my opinion that is advantage of EU compared to some other countries.
208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin price rise affect your gameplay? on: October 28, 2020, 05:52:34 PM
Well, it doesn't necessary. I always bet on small amounts so when calculated in fiat I just spend a little less for betting.
When the price is on the rise I always get another motive to hold more although it's hard to tell how long the growth is going to last and where will it end
However, I always put on side some amount for gambling.
209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to BTC if just a few whales will buy all left supply? on: October 28, 2020, 04:44:20 PM
This is a very hypothetical question and something that will not happen in reality. Only coins that are available in the market for selling could be bought, so it's not possible that someone buys complete Bitcoin supply. And whales don't have supernatural powers.
So, the answer to your question is that nothing is going to happen because such situation is not possible.
210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did anyone bet on the sharks yet ? on: October 28, 2020, 10:23:39 AM
I haven't bet on sharks so far and I have mixed feelings about it, don't know exactly what to think. It seems that humans find all possible options to bet on, just for the betting purpose
Personally I would never bet on any kind of animals fight, I truly judge that, and although this betting on sharks is different somehow I'm not very keen to it.
211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Just a Question... on: October 27, 2020, 09:08:26 PM
Discord is more friendly and open, I much prefer to a few other platforms.   Telegram might be better for brief communication but discord is more of a community regular experience.
So basically, to sum it all, Discord is much better than TELEGRAM? (based on the comments here in this thread) I rarely use Discord that's why I don't know, if I happened to use it, it's because I'm playing a certain team game, I really find this platform just like Twitch.

And besides I haven't encountered that many projects that requires to use Discord, so that's also the reason why I didn't bother being a Mod there.

I think there is not much use of such discussion. People have different preferences and that is why some like mote one than the other. To my opinion both platforms are good and useful, majority has good experiences and not much objections so the only thing what one prefers and why.
Personally I like Telegram more but that doesn't mean that Discord is bad.
212  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When You trade Do You use VPN? on: October 27, 2020, 07:12:26 PM
Do you use VPN proxy?
Specially If You are Country Where the laws not Crypto trader Friendly?

Do You hold Ur machine or wallet in better juridical locations?

I honestly don't recommend it especially if you are on a big exchange there's a high chance that they will detect you and close your account and worst thing is that they will confiscate your the fund in your account.

I agree, that might be the issue. Although VPN also provides better security and protection when you use exchanges it's not recommended. It's not worth to risk troubles with your account.
Also, I don't think that any country waists time and resources just to monitor their citizens who trade on exchanges.
213  Economy / Economics / Re: Government slowly open the economy, will it make the pandemic worst? on: October 27, 2020, 05:10:48 PM
I don't have the feeling that pandemic was under control except in the period of complete lockdown. But that is not the solution, economy is something that we can't live without, something that makes the ground for everyday living and earning.
People need to learn how to protect themselves and live with virus but economies need to carry on otherwise soon we'll see the collapse of our societies and I don't think that anyone wants that.
214  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: buy low sell high? (I'm a noob) on: October 26, 2020, 08:19:14 PM
I learnt a different approach to the buy low and selling high that we talk about, I found trading at this stage not safe if it involves stable coin. At the moment altcoins are dumping really hard with bitcoin's pump, so my buying low has always been with bitcoin value and sell at high bitcoin value, although ethereum can be option for Defi. Bitcoin and Ethereum are the safest to lead the pump, bitcoin still retain the SoV in this market. At the height of the bull we will consider the stable coin for bitcoin and Ethereum.

Well, it's kind of natural that buy low and sell high doesn't quite work with stable coins. But people usually trade with volatile coins, they are the best chance to make some profit especially with day trading on highly volatile coins.
So, if we talk about Bitcoin then buy low and sell high would be a must but it also takes patience, ability to predict and handle risk. Trading can't be defined as simple rules that you stick to and make success easily.
215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Cycling Thread on: October 26, 2020, 05:29:29 PM
Congrats Tao Geoghegan Hart for winning the Giro ! Now how do we say your name again ?

Congrats also to Arnaud Démare (funny name in French) for winning the points classification !

It was kind of surprise to me but congratulations, of course. And it was good Giro despite all circumstances with pandemic and everything. Although I bet on cycling quite often this time I didn't have much luck. But this is also the beauty of gambling and although things don't always turn how we play it's fun.
216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any truly safe bets in sports betting? on: October 26, 2020, 03:12:55 PM
To my opinion there is no risk free gambling and sports betting isn't exception. Some knowledge and experience with sport you bet on might be helpful but there is no guarantee you will be loss free. If you want to gamble you also need to be willing to accept certain amount of risk, even if you bet on very small amounts.
217  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we back to the bull market? on: October 26, 2020, 12:42:04 PM
At the moment I'm not convinced that we are in bull market. It's still too early to conclude if the price will continue to grow, how much and for how long. To my opinion price will continue to fluctuate and we'll have some price range in between 11k and 12k, maybe even until the end of the year.
218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔻 List of Casinos and Sportbooks to Avoid on: October 26, 2020, 09:37:58 AM
New casinos and sportbooks appear all the time, it seems that is still very lucrative business. However, not all of them are legitimate and trustworthy so I really welcome such list where users could be warned what to avoid. The only thing is that unfortunately such list should be updated all the time to be relevant.
Also, it's important to make the difference between few complaints of unhappy users or real scam problems. It wouldn't be good to put on the list of shame some site that doesn't actually deserve it.
219  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trade & investment is getting harder and harder. on: October 25, 2020, 09:25:06 PM
Trading was never easy, no matter what some may say and think but it's true that is getting harder and harder. There are so many coins available, market is very complex and if you want to make at least some success you need to be fully dedicated to trading and investing. Part time trading isn't very good option anymore because it's almost impossible to be present in the market in sufficient way, follow everything was is happening and be well informed to make quality investment moves.
220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Addictive...Pay Attention to your Gambling Habit!!! on: October 25, 2020, 07:44:36 PM
Yes, gambling could be very addictive we are all aware of that. From my point of view the problems ć is to recognise the point where gambling from passion turns into addiction. Many miss that point and then often becomes too late.
If you notice that your most important thing is gambling, that you can't imagine your day without gambling and that every loss you try to cover with more gambling then it's the moment to stop.
