481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need bitcoin? on: July 20, 2020, 06:55:49 AM
It's a funny question after all these years that Bitcoin is present.
I have to say that I'm involved with Bitcoin for almost 8 years now and for me the answer is definetely yes. Bitcoin appeared as alternative to fiat currencies and to my opinion it fulfilled its purpose. It helped me in difficult financial times and I think that people need to have multiple choices.
In digital era and so fast development of new technologies Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are very logical solution.
482  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It's ok if your profits are less on: July 19, 2020, 08:19:10 PM
One important thing to understand when trading is that you can't make profit all the time and when you do the amount of profit is not always the same.
You need to put in accordance your expectations and conditions in the market, you need to be realistic and not expect to make the fortune.
Especialy in the situation like this as long as you are in green area at the end you are all good. Don't let your apetite for profit to grow too high.

483  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic situation declining and famous celebs not paying workers on: July 19, 2020, 12:30:18 PM
Some say that this pandemic shows the best in people but I would say that is shows the worse.
One of examples are these workers but they are not the only ones. Many employess are in very bad situation because they employers don't want to give up their standard and way of life and share bad times with their workers. And really bad situation is not yet here.
This just shows how selfish and self centered people are and they think only on themselves.
484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: July 19, 2020, 09:37:37 AM
I once went to a night club in which smoking was allowed, never again...
I guess these casinos are more ventilated, but still... The smell of smoke is just so bad and so persistent. I would not like to wash my cloths every time I go to a place like that, so I would just avoid them.

I think that conditions changed after thiis pandemic happened. I.mean not just in casinos and night clubs but elswhere in all indoor spaces. They need to obey much harsher hygene and health measures and that is for good of all of us. Although I can understand that for long time sone people will stll avoid places like casinos.
485  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is cryptocurrency coverage in the press picking up since the halving on: July 19, 2020, 06:34:13 AM
I haven't noticed some bigger or smaller media coverage of Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies.
If the effect of halving was different and the price grew up significantly I think that media would have given better attention to that. Although in the context of pandemic and growth of use of digital technologies I've also spoted some positive articles about cryptocurrencies but that was more on a local level.
486  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to transmit funds from an exchange to relatives on: July 18, 2020, 07:39:28 PM
Once all this is done and you regain access. Sending your coins to relatives is already easy.
I don't think that's what he wanted to know. He's concerned about how his relatives would access his funds if anything happened to him.

I can only give you one tip here that I've used myself. Make a copy of your most important data and give it to the person who would be your heir in case of your death. You could for example create a USB stick with photocopies of your codes/seeds etc. on it and encrypt it with a password that only you two know. Alternatively, you could of course give this data to a lawyer who would handle your estate ... should you have one.

I think it is very good to make arrangements for such situations, you just don't know what will happen tomorrow. Especially private keys and co. could be irretrievably lost if you don't store them in a secure place where a third party knows about them.

That is one way and very good I have to say.
The other is to include the data about your wallet including private keys into your last will. That is good way for these data to be protected and at the end they will be revealed to person or persons you want them to and everything will be covered legaly also.
487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the features you want most in a sportsbook? on: July 18, 2020, 06:35:52 PM
For me trust rating comes first. Security and trustworthy are the most important things that I check at gambling site. I need to feel safe and secure to diminsh the possible scam chances or any other issues.
Also, fast or instant withdrawals are very nice features and important too but only if it comes together with trustworthy. That is why I prefers older platforms with some past and references. With brand new you can't exactly know what you'll get.
488  Economy / Economics / Re: Possible solution for economic go-slow on: July 18, 2020, 11:23:12 AM
The best possible solution to prevent our economic to colapse is to prevent the spread of covid-19 virus. Then, how it will happen? Simple! Stop being stubborn, listen and follow the government rules for you and your family safety. Stay at home if you have no important business  outside. Then, enter in crypto world to have an alternative source of income in order to provide your daily needs. Do some other strategies to help feed your family but will not put you at risk of Covid19 virus.

It's not that simple. You can't fully control people and you can't restrict moving completely. If everyone would stay at home and don't go anywhere thus not spend money on anything how could that help the economy.
I agree that people should take care and be disciplined but we have to move on with our lives.
I think that is quite obvious there will be no vacine or cure for a while so we need to find the right balance how to live with virus not to expose population too much but to enable economy to go regulary. It's not easy, governments don't have easy task and economic crisis is inevitable.
489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of Bitcoin Technology. on: July 18, 2020, 06:09:52 AM
My first wish is that Bitcoin should go under a government. The whole world is making it more acceptable with Bitcoin under one country. Its use will increase day by day and it will be used as many payment systems. It is true that if Bitcoin is approved by a government, then the laws of that country must be obeyed. Anyway I want Bitcoin to go under a government first.

I'm not sure what do you mean by "go under government". To be centralized, to be monitored by central bank?
I don't think this is good or necessary. But what bitcoin needs is regulation. It needs to become formal psrt of economy and financial system although not the same way as fiat. That might help with acceptance snd adoption especialy by businesses. To my opinion with time more and more countries will regulate Bitcoin
490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Oldest scam in the book can help you make money on: July 17, 2020, 08:11:03 PM
I've always wondered what is the type of people, who fall into such stupid scams.
I have come to the conclusion that 90% of them aren't dumb. They are just desperate.I guy that is financially desperate isn't dumb,he just isn't thinking rationally. He wants money NOW and FAST.It doesn't matter how he might "get" the money.
There is a certain percentage of  dumb and uneducated people, who are falling for those scams out of ignorance, which is sad,but laughing and ridiculing a person, that lost his/her savings is just cruel.

It's not surprising that so many people fall for such scams. They are not dumb, you are right, but they are very naive and completely unaware of possible threaths in cyberspace. Lack of awareness and knowledge, that is my opinion. Unfortunately, it's still very easy for scamers to pull money out of people, they don't need to try very hard. Digital literacy is still very low and as long as we don't change that we will have such scam victims.
491  Economy / Speculation / Re: Old grandmas funds to pump bitcoin? on: July 17, 2020, 05:05:21 PM
Idunno man, them having the choice of buying bitcoin is great, but probably the last thing that I would expect to cause a BTC pump, is from old people's retirement money money. Especially knowing that probably most of them is going to call bitcoin a scam once you mention it to them, with them telling you a quick history lesson about the Dutch tulip mania.

Exactly, it's not a prejudice but many older people don't trust Bitcoin. Majority of them doesn't even know what it is, that is the fact.
Also, in older age you want security, something reliable so I don't think that is very likely they will invest in Bitcoin. Too much risk for something unknown and with possibility to lose money they saved whole life. Alsow, I wouldn't recommend for older people to invest larger amount of money.
492  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk Twitter hacked on: July 17, 2020, 11:22:09 AM
He is just one among famous persons. In fact I'm not surprised and I think it was just matter of time. It seems that Twitter has some serious security issues and this is not the first incident. They will have to explain a lot of things.
It doesn't also surprise me that so many people have fallen for this, not many check what is going on before they send the money.
493  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Exchange for day trade? on: July 16, 2020, 01:18:58 PM
Livecoin is a small exchange and of course they will have to charge more than other exchanges. I always choose and trust the big exchange. There are many advantages of fee transactions and in addition there are many opportunities to buy and sell good tokens. For example, Binance or MXC, they only list good tokens or best altcoins so traders have more options when trading and we won't have to buy and hold shitcoin. In order to trade with lower cost, you should use Binance, very low transaction fee of 0.1%.
Binance is more than enough for me in this market because up to now I have not had any security issues here and withdrawals are usually very fast so there is no need to spend too much time waiting. I think any new investor will come to Binance first because this exchange has a lot of preferential policies for new investors and they will certainly feel satisfied when trading here.

Agree with recommendation for Binance. Security is number one for me and they put enough efforts to protect their services and traders. Also, good trading options and fast withdrawals that are important for day trading as well as constant improvements of service they offer. No need to look further
494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BetBit Casino Gone? on: July 16, 2020, 11:27:13 AM
I don’t want to sound harsh but once a casino shutdown itself chances are highly unlikely it will ever come back.If they do they make sure use another name and maybe after sometime shutdown again.I recommend to choose carefully the new casino now in the gambling section here and make sure to real a lot of comments in their official threads before deciding which to join.

There is definetely a reason behind closing and it's not likely to re-open. If it does, then it's probably going to be under different name and probably new owner. Have in mind that in that case that is completely different casino and everything should be checked again from the start. But there are always good, trustworthy casinos to chose from.
495  Other / Off-topic / Re: Twitter hackers are So low IQ. - Many Twitter Account Hacked on: July 16, 2020, 07:44:46 AM
It's a breaking news in many media today. I'm not surprised, hackers attack happen all the time and social media are also a target, especialy public persons profiles. They used their popularity as a tool to attract people. I'm not surprised they managed to get quite a sum, there are so many naive people not aware of any cyber threats so this is actually an easy job. Humans are always the weakest link.
496  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the US economy suddenly recovering? on: July 15, 2020, 09:38:50 PM
I wouldn't say that is recovering at all. At first US predicted they will not be so hit with pandemic, which was wrong, and that their economy will recover within few months, which was again wrong.
The fact is that people are still losing jobs and companies are struggling to survive, like in many other countries in the world. And to my opinion that is just the begininig of crisis and recovery is still far away.
497  Economy / Speculation / Re: Would you buy/use Bitcoin if you knew its price would not reach a new ATH? on: July 15, 2020, 07:40:38 PM
Yes, I would. I'm involved with Bitcoin for eight years now and I never quit. And there were times when Bitcoin was not so successful and price was very low
But I beleive that Bitcoin is not only about price. Unfortunately there are very few Bitcoin enthusiasts left and although Bitcoin price is quite decent now and gives the chances for profit some appreciate Bitcoin only when it's above 10000$.
498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: July 15, 2020, 05:41:13 PM
If I remember swab test will take atleast few hours to get the result and it is much expensive test kit needed to do that so it is not actually possible to swab test every person enters into the casino and also social distancing will not be possible in any casinos so government should allow the casinos to work even if they know it will result into spread just for economy gain or they should completely close it.

Is this even practical? Labs are overwhelmed and they should be rather testing those individuals who are showing active symptoms of COVID 19, rather than wasting their time on people who visit casinos. And another thing is that these tests are not 100% accurate. Here in India, there have been cases of individuals with symptoms testing negative during the first test and later testing positive.

This is not a solution and no country will agree to that. Test are too expensive and if that would be applied for casino visitors then many other businesses could request the same. Besides, like you've said, there is no guarantee that results are fully correct. Self discipline of people and to obey medical recommendations is the key but that is very hard to achieve.
499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Home Court advantage = Not an advantage now because of no-live audience? on: July 15, 2020, 01:12:10 PM
Not only in NBA but majority of the sports are affected because there is no live audience so basically there is no home court advantage. The reason why it called it as home court advantage is simply it have audience supporting the team but now all of audience are gone and only the player and the referees are allowed in the court.

I still thinking what will be the approach of the NBA if they will now start to operating again. There are question in my head right now what if there is a player who tested positive and played with other team? will the NBA cancel the match ups again or if they will just continue it.

There are so many questions without answers and decisions are made acvordingly to estimations that don't have actual clear rules. For example, in my country one football player was infected and that was revealed after the match with other team. They didn't cancel the rest of matches.
Anyway, it seems that situation in many countries is getting worse so it might be a long time before we see live audience in stadiums again. So, home court advantage doesn't make any difference anymore.
500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They say hardware wallets are the safest on: July 15, 2020, 07:42:50 AM
Although hardware wallets are the safest types of wallets I prefere to combine multiple types of wallets and not to keep all coins at one place. I think that is the best way to secure my coins. I only avoid online wallets because they have too much security issues.
It's all about your preferences and how much you are aware of vulnerabilities but since scams and attacks become more and more sophisticated we all need to know that there is no absolute security.
