1441  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: best ways to advertise on: August 14, 2017, 10:47:34 AM

Why not try out youtube for advertising, its very popular right now for crypto with many channels and thousands of targetted viewers.  You could apporach some popular channels and see if they can help or build you own and offer some content.

I agree with him. If you can make content for Youtube you are a winner! Videos are really great. For example you can make an educational video or discuss something related to bitcoin and then link back to your website in description. That is good for your SEO and also will drive traffic to your site. It's also free, it only requires imagination and your time.

If you can make original content bring new value thats obviously even better. It seems to be very popular to live stream right now.  But you can also clip other videos and provide "new" compilations or offer your point of view on other videos etc - thats if you really cant think of ideas.

1443  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex Withdrawal Problem due to Verification on: August 14, 2017, 07:15:39 AM
You just have to withdraw slowly thats what im doing right now. The 0.025 limit is pretty crazy low though.  They went from a withdraw limit of nothing, to 1btc, then right down from 1btc to 0.025 within 1 month.  It makes it very hard to trade there right now, if they could up the limit to 0.25 would be a big difference.

1444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Aug 1 summary on: August 13, 2017, 08:00:26 PM
How is that possible is this been confirmed?

Im currently working out this Bcash stuff. If i just send out my bitcoin from my wallet like normal i will still own my Bcash on my original pre aug 1st wallet right?

He is probably mistaken, I don't see how both coins could be sent at the same time. If he is using a BCH wallet, BitcoinCash will be sent and If he is using a BTC core, the bitcoins will be sent instead and he need to change the blockexplorer to see the transaction and to answer your question, If you send BTC now, you will still have your BCH in all your addresses that had BTC on 1st august yes.

Ok so before i go and do something incorrect, let me ask another basic question and double confirm... Im running bitcoin core wallet - does it matter what version im running? as in, can i in anyway send out my bitcoincash or lose the bitcoincash by just sending around my normal bitcoins? should i update to latest core version? can installing latest core version wipe Bitcoincash?

A transfer of BTC is a line of code. A transfer of BCH is another type of code, incompatible with BTC. So there is absolutely no way to screw this up. As long as you own all the private keys involved.

Thanks for confirmation. Appreciated Smiley

Strange,

when i send BTC to a new wallet, the BCC gets sent with it.
When the old, empty BTC key is imported into bitcoinABC wallet it shows the BCC moved also with the btc heh.

1447  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitfinex is dropping their US customers on: August 12, 2017, 09:31:38 AM
Excellent decision by finex its too risky to deal with USA who can shut you down at anytime they feel like it.  It happened with poker before and im surprised exchanges have even been dealing with the US up to now anyway.  This sucks for my fellow US crypto friends so i hope you find other solutions.

Exchanges continue to serve US residents because it's such a huge market. That's why Pokerstars did it, flouting the law the whole time. Bitfinex might say that verified US users are small part of their customer base (I don't even believe that). Unverified US customers definitely form a big part of their base. They are just trying to cover their ass.

Pokerstars doesn't serve the US anymore and years ago they said a similar thing that they didn't need the US customers to continue as the majourity of their revenue came from ROW.  Maybe it is in some way covering their assess. I know pokerstars has done well since then. You have to ask yourself would you serve the US if you were an exchange?
1448  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MTGOX is solvent again. on: August 12, 2017, 08:08:20 AM
Very hard to believe, and just like mentioned above; 1 btc for 1 btc, don't dare to call yourselves solvent because the btc price went up.
Let's calculate it the other way, gox you owe 10x as much money now.

Well they are solvent technically due to the price rise because i'm pretty sure that their debt is denominated in USD price, based on the price per bitcoin and the amount thta you are owed by MtGox at the time of the court hearing or whatever. Bitcoin is not recognized as legal currency in the US.

However i do agree with you that it is extremely unlikely that Mt Gox is going to return any coins.

It would be a miracle if they did, because as someone else said, Cryptsy etc., never repaid their debts in full.

You'd be lucky if you got 10% of what you were owed with Mt Gox.

We all know about those 200k coins though, if it wasn't for the beauty of the blockchain they could run off into the sunset with those funds.  Those funds have to go somewhere, if they move we will see it.

Payment confirmed, many thanks.
1451  Economy / Reputation / Re: Waves Signature Campaign - Not Paying People ? on: August 11, 2017, 09:52:08 AM

Update: the payment from waves was sent to me in last 24 hours.  Hope others who deserved payment got their money.

Glad to hear, that you finally got your money!
However i would personally work with such a campaign anymore considering the lack of information as well as manager being very unresponsive. May i ask, if you got any compensation for the delay? Because i think it is reasonable on such a delay.

Thanks. No compensation, i didn't ask for it either. Maybe its reasonable but whatever at least they paid so i can only argue with delays and yeah i changed campaign to same as you.

To answer the other question above i dont know if others got paid or what and thats their responsibility to work out.  If anyone requests i lock the thread or thinks i should lock it post or PM, ty.
1452  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 4000$ !! on: August 10, 2017, 11:37:13 AM
of course bitcoin will hit even more than $4,000 maybe in 3 months time.

We nearly are at $4k now if you include the Bcash its like $3700.  3 months we are either way way above or back in the 2k levels waiting for the next bubble IMO.
1453  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ICO certification service needed on: August 10, 2017, 06:30:42 AM
I out scammers all the time on here for free, but hey, if someone wants to pay me to do it full time, no problem.

If you are providing some kind of structure to how you make your judgements with some kind of track record then you could provide that service for the forum.  That is what OP is asking for.

1455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC-e.com down ! Police detains the owner . on: August 09, 2017, 05:02:44 PM

So according the most recent update they are offering BFX style tokens and also doing an ICO from them.  This could clear the debt instantly if they did a good job on it based on past large ICOs numbers.
1456  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: are bitcointalk accounts worth money on: August 09, 2017, 09:18:14 AM
Yes. They are worth a lot of money.

Not anymore, due to account farming and due to more time elapsing on the forum the prices have come down so far its a buyers market. A year or 2 ago Heros would even sell for 1 bitcoin.

If you are thinking of getting into acount selling find something better to do.

I'm really very confused with those old PMs, I'm going now to fix any new problem I got with PM

Regards,
Bitcoin Boy.
I have now some tons of PMs after my internet blackout that I planned for days to check,
Anyway please send me your issue with the instruction above.

I'm ready to fix now any problem the bot wallet was already filled but I didn't get internet.

Most of PMs are about upgrading rank, your rank upgrade automatically after payment and not the day, you upgrade on bitcointalk forum.

Regards,
Bitcoin Boy.

So i've PMed and posted up in their thread.  Hey i dont know if its just me or depends on where people live but if my internet goes i use mobile internet or find some wireless @ cafe/pub etc. Even if its just to do a quick message to someone.

Maybe waves should change the person in charge until "Bitcoin Boy" can get internet? just a thought?

1459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCC transactions are very long on: August 08, 2017, 01:37:14 PM
Some have waited 24 hours longer before they can see there coins move out of HitBtc me i got my coins 7 hours before any TX is posted and another 2 hours waiting to be cleared at mempool.

I got some with yobit and still haven't received 1 confirmation to withdrawal, been stuck pending for 36 hours and no comfirmations  Cry

How much fee did yobit put on? sounds like they haven't even broadcast the transaction yet by how you say it, if its in the network with correct fee then you would have confirms by now.

Think we might be beating that record today actually there is talk of miners dropping hashing power to manipulate difficulty levels today. Im still at 1 confirm over last 6 hours haha.
