1741  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is unpredictable job. on: February 18, 2017, 11:15:48 AM
i wouldnt say trading is unpredictable, it jjust need a great knowledge in what are you trading and trends of the market, be updated with the news, same thing happens with bitcoins, price depends on the market, some trends, like china and its position with bitcoins, the movement of the market, sales and buys and some other factors that can be reflected in btc prices. So the most important it s to know how to interpret the market trends
but to me i think trading is not unpredictable job, there are so many expert people who have a lot of experience good skills  in trading and they also have too good experience in trading, therefore they can predict about trading in more better way and their prediction mostly proved as correct. and that the reason that we consider trading as less risky as compare to to gambling.

Experienced traders can use their level of knowledge as an advantage where they know how to handle, but no matter how good or professional you are at trading, something as guaranteed profits does not exist. High skilled traders make enough profits where they don't get bothered too much if they happen to go wrong once or twice. But then again, of course it's less risky than gambling. What legitimate investment or tradable asset isn't less risky than plain gambling....

The proof is in the pudding really.  Try it for a while with small amount of money, if you do well then invest more time and effort.  If you lose money long term this means you suck and should find something else to do, its pretty simple.
1742  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin goes up very high should i buy a house? on: February 14, 2017, 08:19:51 PM
Being realiste here, if you have above 100-200 bitcoins you can really buy a house with it, lower ammounts will require more years, meaning more halvings, bitcoin will keep raising till the mine ends, then we will see how bitcoin will stand alive with the change at the market.

Might need more tbh since even with 100 etc who has the balls to just cash out 100% of them all for a house if the price goes up into thousands etc.  Housing is costly af where i am dont know about u guys, its a rip off.

Poker is a combination of math, psychology and luck. I would weighting it as 50% math, 30% psychology and 20% luck for very good players. The first two are skills you can learn and constantly improve, so that you can limit the luck to 20% or 1/5. But only if you very good at it. As an absolute beginner the luck is probably 80% of the game and math and psychology are rather 10% each.
5 mbtc. Tournaments are also something I like to play, but just when I have time to sit few hours freely, what is rarely in past few weeks.

Online is probably way higher % on math and skill and psychology only comes into play 10%.  Most of the online reads are math based with a little psychology.  Live is different animal.

At online poker you don't just use math. I mean, you use it, but it's not that different than the one you use on live poker. You need to place you opponent on a hand, see your hand and calculate your probability of beating him with your hand considering the cards on the table, and of course the ones you need to further improve your hand. But you do all that in live poker. Either on online or live poker, you must place your opponent on a hand, giving the stats you know about him. You must also consider what your opponent action will be in reaction to what you can do (how he reacts to a bet, or raise, etc etc). All of those things happen in live and online poker. And it gets easier on online, if you have a good tracker software.
I don't believe in those tells that you should try to get from live poker. Yes some players might have them, but they are week players, because any good player will know how to hide them. So all you have is the statistics, but on live poker you do it based on what you remember from that player, and on online poker, you can do it with software.

Its possible to beat online games with purely math tbh, unless you play high stakes.  That is not really possible in live games, you have to think about body language etc.
1744  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Doubling bitcoins??? on: February 14, 2017, 08:10:32 PM

Anyone tried the new BTC-e bitcoin price betting game yet? looks like a great idea from them and should improve their volume since people try to shift the market price at the end of the game.
1745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins Everywhere? Not yet... on: February 14, 2017, 05:29:13 PM
Most of the members consider bitcoin as major currency of future. Let us assume that it will be accomplished one day, but before that, I wonder which spheres of our everyday life will adapt bitcoin first?

Online shopping will be the next step after online gambling.  Then its down to the current banking industry if they want to provide services around bitcoin or fight it.  There are many social change benefits, too many to list.
1746  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can the price of bitcoin still skyrocket on: February 14, 2017, 04:05:36 PM
and when I see how many people are involved with bitcoins, less then 1 % of population, increasing number on users on 5 % of world population or even more bitcoin can really become revolution

7479901500 - world population
100,000,000 - BTC users in 2016
In that way 1% is 74,799,015

Yeah the actual number of people involved is still a tiny fraction, i dont know anyone IRL who really knows much about BTC yet.  I have been using it to pay for some thing IRL via gift cards mostly.
1747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it Bitcoin Price Volatility that Really Made Fiverr to Drop Bitcoin? on: February 14, 2017, 01:33:16 PM
Fiverr was one of the few online freelancing sites that accepted bitcoin until this January when they dropped it. The company hasn’t issued a comprehensive statement explaining what informed their decision. However, an article by Themerkle gives bitcoin volatility as the reason.

That raises the question whether Fiverr used a payment processor. If they did then price volatility becomes less of a reason that will make them drop bitcoin.

Maybe someone out there has info about this. Share.

When you purchase gigs on Fiverr with bitcoin you can`t get a refund.
I bought a gig with btc on December 2015,the service was terrible and i never got a refund.
I guess that nobody is using bitcoin to buy fiverr gigs and that`s why they removed that feature.

Maybe or maybe a few people have used bitcoin to buy then asked for a refund which creates a lengthy problem for their admin team.  For the comission off $5 a time maybe they just didnt consider it worth it.

1751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 12, 2017, 11:04:46 PM
Man. City certainly will win the match against Bournemouth in the forthcoming matches. I am quite sure, that Man. City can survive, and can make some goals. I predict the score over 1.5 goals. but, Bournemouth will certainly do their best to not score more than two goals.

Yes I also predict Bournemouth scored at least one goal playing at home will not be difficult for them to score but not to win
Man city remains the favorite to win If the Man city win will take second place in the standings .

Bournemouth are out of form, looking like they could go down. City could close the gap on chelsea with a win, i like the city bet.
1752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 11, 2017, 10:38:20 AM
Who will be the next top-goalscorer in the Premier League?

Diego Costa     (15 goals) @4.00
Ibrahimovic     (15 goals) @4.00
Harry Kane      (14 goals) @4.10
Romelu Lukaku(16 goals) @5.00
Alexis Sanchez (15 goals) @8.00
Sergio Aguero  (11 goals) @10.00
Jermain Defoe  (14 goals) @18.00
Dele Alli           (11 goals) @35.00
Eden Hazard     (10 goals) @35.00
Olivier Giroud    ( 8 goals) @60.00

great balance in the Premier League, with 6 players in just 2 goals! my favuorite is Zlatan Ibrahimovic

I'd go with harry kan or costa as massive favs over the field. Zlatan i worry about his age.  I dont actually see anyone outside those 2 players unless injury to both.
1753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Let's talk about poker! on: February 11, 2017, 10:35:55 AM
I personally prefer Poker over slots, blackjack and roulette. Just because the liklihood is higher to win if you have good skills and money management strategies. I also like to poker on Betcoin because it is probably the best Bitcoin poker out there with a lot of players.

The good thing is there is almost a never ending learning curve to poker vs some other types of betting where you can reach a optimum level of play and improve no longer.
1754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Let's talk about poker! on: February 09, 2017, 10:12:26 AM
Honestly you doesnt need to learn or have a skill for win, there is only need luck and smart in exploiting the situation, i bet if in previous you ever play poker , there is a moment you win with only have big card.

If you keep doing this on playing poker then you will only lose all your money, skill and experience is needed to play poker. You'll be most stupid poker player ever if only relying on big card as it is not a guarantee you'll win with big card.

Unless you get lucky 1 time and win the WSOP and then drop down to micro stakes for the rest of your career and play terrible haha.

yeah! Luck is the most important factor on poker. even though you have a pretty much experience, it is still depends on luck because you didn't know what are the cards that your enemy holds. I like the bluffing on poker, it is the most enjoyable part the game that's why i love it, you can win even though you are holding the weakest card on the table.

Its still skill as most important factor in my example its just the player dropped down to such a low stake and was so rich due to the 1 time luck win they could never lose all their money even with poor skill.

Looks like Ranieri has chosen the B team for tonight's match. I wouldn't be surprised if Derby wins the match with a late goal in the 2nd half. I am actually going to have a small bet on Derby to win the game @ 4.5 odds.
Leicester City vs Derby County score is 1-1 at 64 mins right now. Leicester had a wonderful team goal earlier on in the 2nd half but Derby county just equalised the goalthrough a freekick. The keeper would have saved it but the defender deflected the ball in the other direction and became an easy goal. Might go over 2.5 the way things are going.

3-1 AET it looks like.  Not sure either side really wanted to win but they feel awkward to lose.  1.8 mil for winning the FACUP vs 100 mil to stay in premier league apparently.

1759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is no "proper" price for bitcoin on: February 04, 2017, 10:12:06 AM
Welcome to Economics 101 lol. There is no "proper" pricing for anything, it's all subjective.
It's worth what people are willing to buy it for.  At the moment that is about $1010 on US exchanges.
I don't really see any extra depth to the question/statement.

Does Bitcoin have an intrinsic worth?. Do and should mining costs be related to the price?  Those are tougher questions. The price is about $1010 at an exchange.

In theory we will remove money entirely at some stage in human evolution. Its not the most optimum way to divide resources between people since 1 persons opinion on what they need resouce wise entirely for their whole life is usually flawed.  I think this is why there is no proper pricing for anything and its all subjective.
1760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 02, 2017, 02:50:53 PM
Manchester United lost a big opportunity, I wonder how can they stand Mourinho, while they invested tons of money there's no achievement. It looks like Pogba and Zlatan isn't enough for him to win games. From now Manchester United is officially out for championship race. They can't close 14 points gap with Chelsea. Manchester City is the only team that profited this week. Only they won their game in Top 9 teams. Half of the games finished as draw this week.
You are right , Man U just kicked it away . I was expecting them to be more aggressive and now they cant get to the top , such poor matches in the last stages by big teams like Man U , Arsenal .
On the other hand , Man city crushed it as they win the match by 4 goal to nill.

Man United is already out of the Premier League title race since last year with their inconsistent form. United needs to finish in the Top 4 to play in the Champions League next season. This is important as having Champions League football can attract good players to join the club. United still has a chance of getting Top 4 but it will be difficult if all the other contenders managed to win their games.

Yeah now they are after not winning at home in the game they should win.  Top 4 is the challenge for them now but who would likely slip up above them? all teams looking strong right now.
