He says repeatedly that it stinks for him, although is intangible. rofl, yes, if it isn't tangible he should just be like "What, what? I don't see, hear, smell, taste or feel whatever it is you are talking about."

Geez, I don't even know where to begin.
He likes local currencies better because at least you can buy things with them..........

Anyone who never sells isn't playing aggressively enough. Use most of your savings, quit your job to run a bitcoin business and sell every week or month.
I'm not actually saying everyone should to this. But "True bitcoiner never sells" is bogus. True bitcoiner sells to eat because he has so damn many.

I feel like that hand expects to break a solid glass sphere with that needle. Poor confused hand.

isn't this part of what people want?
how will our economy work then and how do we justify some people hoarding thousands of btc for doing nothing?
if all 21 mil coins equaled the current amount of $ in the developed countries, 1 bitcoin would equal $ 10 mil.
i don't understand. this no work.
How exactly can you hoard bitcoins without doing anything?

removed/editing my previous post. seems pizza hut killed both deals i had mentioned. they had to go and make me look stupid :p
1 large 1 topping (normally $10)
0.55 btc at 27 = 14.85
+ 2.43 your service fee
still not really a good deal. $17.28 worth of btc for something that can be ordered pickup/cash for $10
if you could match their menu prices i'd be ok with the .09 btc charge but when they are overcharging by just shy of 50% on top of that it does not make much sense
We're updating our pricing today. The coins have jumped faster than we could keep up with. I'm not sure where you can pick up a pizza for $10 though. If you go all the way through there's tax and other stuff tacked on Also you have to buy a car and combustion fluid.

It works, you actually get pizza for bitcoins, yum.
Where it asks for promo code do you put the 3 digit number that is in a little box on the coupon in that field? Some good coupons came with the order that I might want to use for next time.

If you think it has no value at "the end of the day" then 1 cent ought not surprise you any more than $27. Maybe it is the years of unbroken positive value that should perplex you?

Reddit has 43 million users. Say 1 % understand cryptography, that is 430 000 users Say 1 % understand money systems, that is 4300 users Say 1 % have the means, that is 43 users Say 1 % have the guts, that is 0.43 user.
Shit lets round that to 100 new bitcoin users.
Not bad for a single day
Echoing others, almost no one knows anything but they use all kinds of crazy shit. Satellite TV? Computers?

I like how he tells me (a guy wearing a bicoin purchased hat and about to eat a bitcoin purchased pizza) that we won't be buying hats or meals any time soon.
|

The fact that people were still willing to buy after seeing Bitcoins lose 90 percent of their value suggested to me that the currency was likely to have long-term staying power. I guess I get where he's coming from, but it's sort of silly, and the equivalent statement, "People were still selling them for 90% less than previously" isn't so optimistic sounding.

Thanks for testing this for us. I also think that you should mention to everyone that we fully refunded all your orders. Additionally, I personally responded to you every single time extremely fast. Thanks again for testing, we are working on the Chilean issue. Charlie I don't know exactly what you're talking about. You took my bitcoins. You didn't give me any phone credit. You disregarded my email and you ignored the problem description I submitted on the form on your website. The statement "we fully refunded all your orders" is nothing but a lie. You didn't refund my bitcoins. Geez, it's clearly not a scam, the same guys already move 10s or 100s of thousands of coins per month, it's just new and they are working out the kinks I'm sure. I don't really know what you're talking about either. Are you saying that a person who takes bitcoins, doesn't provide the agreed-upon service, and then simply ignores efforts to communicate about the issue isn't a scam? FreeMoney, all I can say is that we have differing opinions about what a "scam" is. I do not consider that sufficient. Would you say that if you pay for a hotdog and the gentleman serving it has a heart attack dies and drops the last one on the ground? Is he is a scammer? More is required than not delivering in order for a scam to happen. It requires intent. There is no bad intent here, they are trying to offer a new international service, there are going to be some problems for a while.

"4 years and bitcoins are still awesome" should be an option.

What's the problem with similar services? If they don't offer anything better they'll just die anyway. The idea of handing SD profits over to laywers and the state in an effort to keep prices up makes me ill.

It is a good response but sounds kinda canned to any feature or service request.
I agree, sounds very cookie cutter. I would suggest sending a follow-up request but substitute Bitcoin with LTC or conch shells or anything and see if you get a similar response. Nice job on being proactive though. Ask if they'll take Amazon Coins.

These articles are great, and also getting more ridiculous. It is great to see people waking up and thinking about what a hegemonic monetary system we have lived with all these years (and the damages it has wrought). They are ridiculous because it sounds like the gibberish people say when they first wake up also. Just waiting for the inevitable "Amazon Coins are a Ponzi Scheme" article. I mean if bitcoins are a Ponzi, Amazon is ponzi^2 ... virtual ponzi credits based on gov. ponzi credits. Naw, ponzi detection works like this: Does it have to do with money? If no: END If yes: Have I heard of it a few times? If yes: END If no: PONZI

I'd say that's a perfect response =)
As long as they know Bitcoin is growing and customers increasingly ask for it, they will give it serious consideration.
With that said, I doubt any large company will touch Bitcoin until some legal precedent is set. Once set, they'll jump in quickly.
Um, what about Satoshi Dice and Wordpress? Those are both fairly large.
