1081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 6x asus gtx 1070 mining rig on: June 19, 2017, 05:51:09 PM
Is it safe to use two PSUs for a single rig?  Could this be the reason? I don't know never tried.
Are you using powered risers? Faulty (cheap) risers are also quite common issue.
How about temperatures? Do you check them?

Simple solution could be some script restarting your rig every 10 hours. Definitely not prefered but quick solution.

1082  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Placing limit orders on exchange on: June 19, 2017, 01:53:02 AM
Hi I have a question, I am trying to buy BTC on Kraken and placing limit orders, but there are so many people constantly putting like 0.001 above me.
They don't look like a bot (Seen those before) but there are just so many. Using the market buy doubles the fees Sad

Anyone knows of a piece of software or a trick to keep placing those limit orders? Or am I just missing something.

It's definitely a bot.
I think CAT bot is able to do such thing ( placing a bit higher orders than those is in the book ) ... not sure though.

1083  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help Script WebSite BitCoin on: June 18, 2017, 12:16:22 AM
Agree with above said.
It's ridiculous to publicly ask community mebers how to make a script to scam them. This speaks for all.

BTT, rent some coders at https://www.xbtfreelancer.com/ or much better find another way to make money.
1084  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: ALL SOLD - [WTS] 4 X Antminer L3+ [NO PSU] - ALL SOLD on: June 17, 2017, 07:36:06 PM
Deal didn't go through.
honestly in the end i am still highly skeptical but for future buyers i strongly recommend going through OGNasty as escrow just because he's patient and honest

Thanks

Thanks for update, I appreciate your effort going through this.
Is this mean he did not dispatch the unit (as he promissed) or something went wrong with fund transfer?
1085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [SUGGEST ME] I Have 20 GTX 1060 3 GB on: June 17, 2017, 04:01:50 AM
nVidias are good for mining lbry (LBC), Equihash (ZEC, ZCL) and Lyra2REv2 (MONA) coins. I'm minig lbry right now.

Easiest way is to use nicehash, no need to care anything, just put in your BTC address and run it. They will mine most profitable coins and convert them to BTC.
If you want to play around you can use claymore Zcash miner or EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner to mine equihash coins and ccminer to mine Lyra2REv2 & lbry coins.

I have good experience using win10 and latest drivers (usually there are instruction from miner developer which drivers are best to use).
Can't tell you exact hashrates but you can expect something around 300 sols for Equihash, 180Mhs for lbry and 20 Mhs for Lyra ... use nicehashminer benchmark to get exact numbers.

also check https://whattomine.com/ to find the most profitable coin

any idea how much i could make from this ?

per card ?

use the https://whattomine.com  .... put in hasrates I provided and see for yourself.

just roughly shooting you could make something around 1mBTC  (0.001 BTC) daily with each card minus the electricity cost ( but mined coins can crash or suddenly go higher so its kind of lottery as well)
1086  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 4 X Antminer L3+ [NO PSU] on: June 16, 2017, 06:25:29 PM
Well I am highly skeptical if this is legit or not but I placed an order for 1 Antminer L3+ with fedex shipping
Will update if legit or not.

Thanks

EDIT: added pictures

Sorry to say but I have a bad feeling about this. You'd better be ready to chargeback the payment.

Entire website looks suspicious. Missing any contact info, crapy SSL, the T&C seems to be composed from multiple other shops ... see:
MinerShop does not take any responsibility for or compensate for any loss as result of downtime caused by delays in transportation as a result of custom formalities or other reasons.(that one probably copied from minershop.biz or minershop.net)

Something is very shady here.

@OP, any reason you are selling Avalons for more than the manufacturer? Current price at canaan says 714 USD.

1087  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: FS: 2x Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX470 (4GB) - $600 in BTC - ETH/ETC/ZEC/ZCL mining on: June 16, 2017, 04:08:31 PM
Am I missing something regarding the price/is there something wrong with the post? These are going for $300-$330 each on ebay... I thought there would be more interest!

Nothing is wrong with OP. You have stated all the info buyer needs. Maybe to add if you can deliver also paperwork for warranty.
There could be several reasons for lack of interest. Like recent BTC price drop or fact you are newbie (this should be no issue as you accept escrow).

I just think you need to be more patient and wait 2-3 days (people have more free time to spend here during weekend).
1088  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 4 X Antminer L3+ [NO PSU] on: June 16, 2017, 02:33:31 PM
Got the shipment today and i confirm the miner is well and good in perfect working condition.

Could you provide picture? I'm thinking of buying one as well, but definitely not trust the OP.
moreover I can see some issue with ssl, did you really used your CC without working ssl?

1090  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Wallet with lowest buying fees for europeans? on: June 16, 2017, 12:08:20 AM
Ok thanks all for advice one more thing. When I buy BTC in Coinbase for example and I decide to transfer them to exchange market such as Poloniex i'm again charged cca. 2€ in BTC. What about this "secondary" fee, how high is it on competitive wallets?

Fees are regular in bitcoin world, get used to it. No matter what you have heard ( to me BTC was introduced like payment option without fee ... that time it was almost true, but as aleays times are changing.)
In simple, you have to pay a fee for EACH TRANSACTION (and those fees are quite high last years. Which is thing I do not like on BTC at all)

In theoretical there could be no fees at all, but miners will always choose to confirm those transactions with higher fees prior the others and as long as people will send transactions with high fees they will choose them to confirm .... so it's kind of neverending circle.

Higher fee means your transaction gets confirmed earlier (so if you are sending BTC between your own account and do not need to be quick you can use lesser fee).
Fee is usually counted in satoshis per byte, check the actual fee size (and estimated time to confirmation) at https://bitcoinfees.21.co

Nevertheless 2 EUR fee seems too much for me ( usually should be in 0.000X BTC values ) ... so something around 1 EUR ... but this depends on many other  factors ( like how many imputs/outpusts goes into transaction etc.)
1091  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Wallet with lowest buying fees for europeans? on: June 15, 2017, 10:26:59 PM
Which wallet is the best for someone from EU. I noticed coinbase takes cca. 3% fee on every purchase of bitcoin for EUR

Coinbase is not wallet but exchange (with wallet feature). Any way of purchase will cost you certain fee and whenever you are deling with CC purchase the fee goes even higher (this is certain way of protection as the CC payments can be canceled) ... do not expect less than 3% fee when buying using CC.

I would point you to localbitcoins where you can look for a nearby trader and make a deal with him ( meet in personal to use cash, transfer fiat to his bank account ...) but what you are going to save on fees you are going to spend on higher BTC price.
Other option is to ask in Bitcoin Forum > Economy > Marketplace > Currency exchange if anybody is willing to sell you BTC.

In sum, there is no way to completely avoid fees unles you have a friend whose willing to sell you his BTCs.

I see, but I mean't more like which of the "major" sites have lowest fees?

Depends on way how you are going to pay. Are you going to buy only using CC? Then I'm affraid there is no better option (3% on CC is pretty low, would expect 4% - 7%) ... any better deal smells like scam.

In past much better option for me was to contact seller via localbcoins and transfer money within the same bank (but this depends on your location  ... how many sellers are close to you so they have to compete each other. Single seller can make the price goes really high).

so feel free to invest with us...

have a nice day...

Haha, this only means you are in loss of one year renting your domain and hosting. Oh wait, it is free hosting  Cheesy
In what world you can imagine a 'Company able to double bitcoins' not having enough money to rent a real hosting?

I feel it's like buying porsche from the seller in dirty clothes, who arrived to trade meeting on bycicle and with bottle of cheap rum in paper bag   Grin  ... Would you trust such guy ??

So one year passed, you've got a shit and should have learned a lesson. Try to spend your time with some better activity.

I understand that you use a wallet online. Then what does it mean to download a wallet on your computer. Your wallet is on the website and your hard disk does not have this wallet is irrelevant. Knowing the password you always will go into it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can download the wallet to your hard drive and synchronize it (which takes forever usually lol) This type of wallet is what I'm worried about losing the data on.

Reason being, I downloaded 5 different wallets for 5 different currencies, but I'm about to reformat the computer.  So does that mean:

A - I need to back up all the wallet data on a usb and then put it back on the computer once it's reformatted
B - I could just save the addresses/passwords for each wallet and clean reformat my computer then re-download the wallets and be good?

I know there online sites like that have wallet options, but I feel like it's mixed emotions when it comes to long term holding of coins in an online wallet.

Does that make sense or no?

Depends on wallet you are using. Best are wallets which gives you seed from which you can make full recovery  (deterministic wallets)... then the only need is to store this seed.
So if you are using deterministic wallet (most of them are) ... just keep the copy of seed. Other cases you have to locate and store the wallet file( do not forget pass or make unecrypted backup).

ahhh ok!  I'll start to look up deterministic wallets and compare the wallets I currently use to see what they are.  Thanks I appreciate the help!

You're welcome. Such wallets are also known as HD (hierarchical deterministic) wallets.
Can recommend you to check bitcoin.org as they have a great wallet overview https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet
