hello! my wallet is not synchronizing I made a conf file as described in the users guide, i added node from chainz.cryptoid, but it still doesn't work. What's the problem? "2017-08-04 17:54:07 No valid UPnP IGDs found 2017-08-04 17:54:07 upnp thread exit" "2017-08-04 17:53:59 0 addresses found from DNS seeds 2017-08-04 17:53:59 dnsseed thread exit" hope this help. best regards porkchoprasbora Hello, It is good to see more users of GUN. I wish I could help with a specific answer, but all I can really say is that the wallet should work fine. I recommend to double check that the file name is correct and re-add what appears to be the available current nodes and try again. There were some others having issues with the wallet a few pages back and got it figured out after some trial and error. Maybe read back in this post and see if there are any answers there. anyone else using the block factory and seeing their hash rates much different than what they are actually mining?
today I'm showing 450-560 KH/s on block factory and my hash rates are showing 910+ KH/s. Even my accepted shares are at that level. I am getting nothing lower than 900. I wasn't having this issue with the site until today. Just curious is anyone else is seeing this
Ive been using The Blocks Factory for DGB and FTC for a couple of months now. yes, the hashrates on the site are not accurate but over 24 hours seems to work out. I love this pool, i can see exactly what my payout is per block and every time I've needed to do an instant cash out, the coins go out immediately. I'm mining GUN on a GTX 750ti (old but super efficient and i didn't have to buy) You just reminded me that I have one of those kicking around somewhere. I'll have to look for it and see what it can do, since there is nothing like the sound of a video card humming in the background, helping to back digital currency

Not sure if it has been reported here yet, but Poloniex is stating that ETC is broken and may need DEV involvement to fix it. If we have any DEV's here and you haven't heard about this please reach out to Polo to see what can be done to fix the issue... Sorry, just scanned back and see others are reporting the issue also... Could you please show us where Poloniex states that ETC is broken? All I see are some statements here regarding not seeing a transaction from Poloniex. No twitter statement. No email notification. No notice on Poloniex site. I am interested to know if there actually is a problem. My guess is that there is no issue going on, other than currently seeing red for most cryptos on Coinmarketcap.

HODL That is all. Have a nice day. Looks like we are not alone, with lots of big sales going on! Ready to pick up some more and HODL.

I promise you are not the only one that has ever happened to...... Yep... BTW, I appreciate the determination exhibited in working on solving the issue. It also makes a nice lesson/instructional here in these pages for others who may need to figure out a conf file.

Pumps do no good.
Organic growth with inherent stability is way more desirable.
We want this to be real.

You may want to update/change or add a .conf file which you will find/can make in the Guncoin folder which would be under your "User name here"/AppData/Roaming/ folder. In order to make that file, you can start with a regular .txt file then change the extension to ".conf" if need be. Place that file in the Guncoin folder, then restart the wallet. Here is where you may find some node lists: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/gun/#!network Thanks! You are welcome. Am glad to try and be useful, lol. I am not sure of the exact name that file should be though,....probably "guncoin.conf" in lower case.

Hello,
I'm trying to sync the wallet but always shows 0 connections so I can't download the blockchain...
What can I do?
Thank you!
You should make sure you have some nodes to connect to. Additionally, sometime it can take a while to sync - just leave it and see if the connections start to appear. The coin has been around for a while, it is not going to sync in just a few minutes..... The problem is not let it sync but is to let it start sync! How can I add some node to the wallet? Because waiting doesn't work. Otherwise mining guncoin is useless coz is impossible to send it to a wallet... Uh, no, not really. Looks like they are spamming the forums and every altcoin thread with it. From different accounts too.
Well, I viewed it as a way to drum up business. If they are going to include 200 crypto currencies, in theory, that would give them the right to post an ad in every one of them to invite the users to join. So it will be interesting to see if they really get all 200 of them up and running. Additionally, by calling themselves an investment company and being registered in Delaware, that opens up a whole new can of worms in regards to "licensed" investment companies, etc. This will be an interesting one. Be careful if one chooses to "invest" in something with unreasonably high returns, that has affiliate commissions, and locks up your funds for a period of time. History, if you look at it, has taught us many lessons. Wishing you guys (CryptoClone) well, but let's see what time has to tell.

Ethereum is a centralized piece of shit, but that doesn't mean the price won't keep going up. Just look at Ripple which is 1000x worse.
I believe that ethereum has no future and that etc is the future, but I still regret selling all my ethereum at $30 only to watch it rise to like $250+.
ETC is copying all the work of those "piece of shit" ETH developers and you are talking about that "ethereum has no future"? What a fine example of delusional perception of reality. I guess it's a lesson in not letting ideology get in the way of profit
Looks like you still haven't learned your lesson. BTW: Those 3,36 millions of ETCs (current value more than 69 mio USD) from the DAO hack are still sitting around and waiting to hit exchanges... https://gastracker.io/addr/0x5e8f0e63e7614c47079a41ad4c37be7def06df5aPS: As a copy cat coin, ETC is still overvalued. On average copy cats are running at 2.5% value of their original parents (BTC->LTC, LTC->FTC, ETH->EXP, LISK->RISE) So there is still lot of hot air in ETC prices... ETC doesn't quite fit into that mold for the copycat coins, being the original of the two. The ETH vs ETC bantering I come across seems like good reading since interesting points are brought up. They both seem to fit the same purpose though, except one you know has immutability, the other not. Depending on the application/circumstances, each may have it's strong points. Anyway...about the DAO hack. It would be good to see that currency accounted for, one way or another, and I believe the uncertainty regarding this is holding ETC back. I happened to be browsing these forums during a dump of about 8% of the total AUR (the stolen funds from Cryptsy), It got gobbled up and seemed to help that currency's stability, now worth about 3x as much compared to before. The stolen funds from UNO were accounted for in a different manner (auction). Once again, about 8% of the total coins. Uno picked up and is now maybe 20x after that happened. The DAO hack was way less in proportion than the above examples. Having those accounted for resulting in having uncertainties removed, might just be what ETC needs.

why price jumped recently? any new development on the coin? i would like to re-enter and buy again I like to think that it is because of recent activity and discussion regarding GUN's future, ideas being brought up, and more folks realizing that this is not a dead coin...only sleeping. The possible support by the 2A community could make this one a "no-brainer" looking back someday.

This is not about EGC (or any coin in general) - it is about what we are going to do with POSW and POSWallet.com
Once we have completed the transition, we may look at adding coins again
Please remove any EverGreenCoin from PoSwallet.com before June 12th. They (PoSwallet) have always seemed to be fair in regard to their dealings from my experiences with them. We will be losing a resource though, with the web wallet they had no longer being there. Maybe it's time to acquire/make our own? My suggestion: Crowdsource our own webwallet. Add some fees in there to help cover the costs of maintaining it. Possibly a percentage of the stake, or transfer fees since EGC does need to take care of itself too, in order to accommodate others and green projects. There is an active dev here, that we shouldn't expect to do everything, so we could at least cover the cost of making something like this happen if it fits in his plans. One of the biggest hurdles to newcomers I see is the extra work in downloading a client, then doing the synchronizing. With an official web wallet, somebody could have access to their EGC immediately, then do the wait/experience the learning curve, at their convenience.

Skimmed through recent posts/pages and wanted to share some thoughts: It is good to see activity/discussion going on. There are some funky coins out there, but I believe that their popularity goes along with a user's particular interest. To me, it is difficult to imagine there not being many 2nd Amendment supporters who would love to know about GUN's existence, but just haven't learned of it yet. Hopefully there are others on the sidelines, ready/willing to assist or share ideas. If we can get more on board, the general 2nd Amendment Community's determination could be an unstoppable resource to have available. Speaking of that, a focus initially on USA is probably where the strongest GUN support is possible. It seems like some original resources (explorer-android wallet-marketplace) more or less slipped away. Maybe we needed some shaking up prior to that, but now that they are gone, this may show the value they had. I do not fault anybody, and understand that it must be a lot of work and hassle with maintaining them, and annoying too, especially considering that they were not being used. BTW, I will do my best to keep an explorer going, but want to give kudos to the original supporter doing so (it should show his contribution back here somewhere on an earlier page). My thoughts have been more or less "build it and they will come, or at least give them an opportunity to do so", and have been hoping for some updated resources, not having the knowledge myself to make them happen in a safe manner. In particular, I am referring to a simple to use mobile wallet, and a secure web wallet for newcomers who don't want to learn/do the download-synchronize wallet stuff (probably the biggest turn off in crypto for somebody new to it that I can think of). If ever there were those wallets, a fee for transactions could be a good idea, to help cover their maintenance. I understand that anybody can make these things happen, including myself, but in my case I probably know just enough to be dangerous and am better off showing support than doing. I do find the user's guide from the GUN homepage http://guncoin.info/users-guide/ very informative and point others to that. Some kind of a breakthrough offering/use as being discussed, with a support system in place does sound like a winning combination. I would initially think that ETC might be a better option than ETH if we go that route, due to the immutability aspect being more trustworthy, but honestly haven't looked into the ETH tokens mentioned. I imagine that it would be some time before/if anything happened (a dumbchain seems fine for now) and ETC may have grown up a bit by then too, and there could be options coming that we don't know of yet. If changes happen someday where coins have to be turned in/exchanged for another, that process would need to have no time limit to do so, otherwise we lose the immutability of stored value ourselves. tldr; shared some ramblings

Does anyone have bootstrap guncoin ? my wallet can't sync
Can't sync or just taking a long time to sync? Some of my wallets have not been looked at for months - when I turn them on, it may take 4-5 hours or more to sync that one wallet. Does it show blocks being read on your help page? I just tried to install wallet but can not scync number of connections = 3 current number of blocks N/A estimated total blocks N/A last block time N/A If you have connections, it should be synchronizing. I would believe that if you give it more time, it should show some activity. You can also check the current block height here: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/gun/#I know that I can have some difficulty when my internet is "running slow".

Soil tests and ground tests have started to determine the exact location of the first EverGreenCoin sponsored water well in Bangladesh.
Details of the plaque mounted to the water well that will read, "This water well was funded by the EverGreenCoin community. EverGreenCoin.org Water Is Life." have been given to the construction crew.
The entire process can take 9 months to complete but of course, I will continue to report details of the progress as soon as I get them.
Thanks for all the support and have a great weekend!
Great news - thanks for sharing it - looking forward to hearing more about the developments - great to hear that EGC is starting to make a real impact on peoples lives =) It's not all about the $$$ It is good to see how much a relatively small donation from the EGC community can affect another.

This looks interesting.. there has been a gunbot as well for bot trading
The Gunbot that you see advertised for BOT trading on the Poloniex exchange has nothing to do with GUN. I see that too, and it always makes me think of Guncoin, and what a bot for trading GUN would/should be called

It is nice to see that some information has been updated on the website and the OP here at Bitcoin Forum.
A good start, getting pointed in the right direction... downrange.
