My best guess is that something is changing (new website maybe) and it is just taking longer than expected.
Maybe even something big, using the Phoenix... rising from the ashes or being re-born?

DARK

It seems like it would fit well.

Keep the logo and look.

 Shocked Shocked Shocked

O.K. that got my attention.
Can you share what it is, or do I have to wait for the countdown?

Maybe even being part of it somehow.

This is one of the things that got me interested in AUR.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_Icelandic_financial_crisis_protests

These particular words help me believe that Auroracoin could fit in well......

"its impact should not be under-estimated. One important development in its wake, and an important emerging theme for further research, is a series of experiments with direct democracy and social media"

Adamastor,
I appreciate the enthusiasm, and just sent a small donation your way.
Please keep us updated on how things transpire at the meet.
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Guncoin(GUN) - New NeoScrypt Algorithm on: December 14, 2015, 10:33:09 PM
Oh, I just solo mined a block right now! On this newer laptop I got this year. Using only two threads, using the wallet. Hahahahah. Nice. I think I will leave this mining overnight and see if I get another block.

Same here, left two different systems running yesterday and managed to find a block using the in-wallet miner on both.
May be silly, but those 400 GUN just might feel a little more valuable than the rest to me.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Guncoin(GUN) - New NeoScrypt Algorithm on: December 09, 2015, 05:04:59 AM
I'll pay for an updated block explorer and keep it paid as long as there is development. That can be my part. Just get me the info on whoever you want to use.

Just get it set up and send us the link - Thanks!

New Block Explorer

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/gun/

Paid for 1 year.

Very good - will try and get the links posted this week!

With the new block explorer working, I assume that we will jump up a couple places on coinmarketcap when the actual supply is correct.

Is there some kind of trick to solo mining? I have added a conf file and still nothing.

I believe that for now, you need to use a pool until there are some updates to the wallet.
Some things changed when it went to NeoScrypt.

I am using:
https://gun.theblocksfactory.com/

There may be some others.
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Guncoin(GUN) - New NeoScrypt Algorithm on: December 08, 2015, 07:04:00 PM
Will do.
I realize that there are some wallet generators out there, but I have a particular idea in mind on layout where that design doesn't work well and definitely would appreciate the assistance.

Lurking, Mining, Trading/Buying.
Looking forward to making a little time to promote.
A thought was to print out the Bill of Rights on a decent sheet of paper, with a paper wallet printed on the back to give away at the local gunshows and see what happens.
Will the new wallets have paper wallet printing capabilities?

I had about half of my balance sitting in there for ages, the other half purchased after the wallet was locked in maintenance.
Received all of my coins and there was no delay at all on the withdrawal once I found out it was back.
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MZC][SHA-256] MAZACOIN *First Sovereign Currency* ANDROID WALLET AVAIL.!! on: December 06, 2015, 04:45:59 AM
I just did also.
Looking forward though to using their (Cryptsy's) services again once things settle into place.
Probably quite tumultuous times there at the moment.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MZC][SHA-256] MAZACOIN *First Sovereign Currency* ANDROID WALLET AVAIL.!! on: December 05, 2015, 08:40:30 AM
I haven't heard anything.
It will be nice if they can get their site working to do what it is supposed to do since there are many coins' wallets under maintenance for quite some time now.
I have seen many complaints regarding slow withdrawals, I would be happy at this time, just to be able to.
The longer this all takes, the harder I believe it will be for them to put this behind them.
294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Auroracoin - A new chapter in the history of Iceland! on: November 20, 2015, 11:26:18 AM
AUR is also listed on Cryptopia Exchange.
https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange

Never heard about this exchange. Anyone here know if this exchange can be trusted?

My first impression would be to be cautious with this one... Based on feeling, no facts!

It is legit with lots of users and can be trusted. I've been trading at cryptopia for few months without problem.

I have traded on them for quite a while now also.
I haven't done much in regard to volume, but have never had a problem with them.
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Auroracoin - A new chapter in the history of Iceland! on: November 18, 2015, 03:28:00 PM
That is great news about the Aurora exchange.

In regard to Cryptsy; I hope they can keep/get their act together.
I still have some other coins there that I cannot withdraw and believe it would be a blow to cryptos in general to see them fail.
I do like how they keep the coins they have listed, and the volume that transpires there.
They changed stuff up pretty quickly and the fee without warning of .005% to withdraw seemed like a "cash grab" to me, that is why I believe many may have left.

edit: .5%, this decimal stuff, combined with percents, can get tricky.
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MZC][SHA-256] MAZACOIN *First Sovereign Currency* ANDROID WALLET AVAIL.!! on: November 17, 2015, 01:34:39 AM
I don't think that is why the price is low, but it sure isn't helping any and has caused me some concern.
From a layman's perspective, I can only hazard a guess regarding Cryptsy:
It must take a lot effort to run and manage an exchange, they only have so much man power/time to go around, and are focusing that on potential growth, adds, debit cards, fee structure, changing their exchange up, etc.
That leaves not much for the less prominent coins like MZC since this wouldn't happen to the bigger ones.
I am actually using Bittrex way more now and have not run much BTC thru Cryptsy recently because of this.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Guncoin(GUN) - New NeoScrypt Algorithm on: November 15, 2015, 05:39:29 AM
I like to think that GUN has the possibility to corner a niche market in regard to firearm and firearm accessory sales sometime in the future.
Someday there may be a crypto for just about anything in particular and this one has chosen it's place.
It is also pretty awesome that it is still in it's initial block reward and just about anybody with a video card can mine it.
I like guns, I like crypto, I like doing what I want, especially if it isn't hurting anyone.
So.....happily mining away.

Ditto what you wrote about Cryptsy, but it sure would be nice to be able to withdraw my MZC.

I believe that there could be so much in limbo there, it may cause some concern.

You are very clever aswell no-ice-please, but have not understood freedom and being a native in universal scale - we are all free natives. Look up to the nightsky and you will understand.

Yes, if only more could look down from the night sky too!

Upgrade your wallets, the new version contains a new list of seed nodes.

The new wallet has a nice look to it, simple and very clean

It has coin control also, which is good feature, since I believe the last version did not have that.
