4661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ADX]*NEW* AdEx Network - Decentralized Ad Exchange on: July 02, 2017, 11:22:22 PM
Any news about Bittrex?Need a bigger exchange

Thanks for the awesome feedback everyone!

As usual, quick update:

We added ADX to be displayed in Parity

We're working on imToken right now

We've already applied to bittrex, so it's now up to them

imToken users: you have your token, it's just not displayed in imToken right now; if you need to transfer it right now, you can export your wallet and import it into myetherwallet or parity
maybe we will add soon as admin said they have already contact bittrex.
It's clear now and just matter about the time, this project progress really fast. Even though, it's obvious that this project will eventually be listed to some popular exchanges.
4662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How many hacked polo accounts does it take for them to make 2fa mandatory? on: July 01, 2017, 06:44:24 AM
At the end of may there was a polo ddos attack, the official story was too many new users. That is the time my account was hacked.

I really feel that the attacker got a list of non 2fa accounts and just started going alphabetical. This other user had the exact same thing happen, A full fucking month later. Coincidence that both accounts started with an A?

Doubt it.

Polo was and is still compromised.

My working theory is that the attackers hacked polo, got a list of non 2fa, then went manually through them alphabetical.

The hacker has been able to do this for atleast a month and a half.

The hacker drained my account nearly exactly like yours by setting counter trades.

Yes polo should be able to track this, have they made any effort to call in authorities? I doubt it.

Hence, I believe they should be opened to a lawsuit.

In my case ,at the end of May, I booted fresh from a livelinux CD and used a new email address. The only thing I did different was I had to contact their help desk.
So I'm not sure how my account was compromised then.

Also my compromised account started with an A, so I assume hacker got access to polo database an went alphabetical.

Op did you previously contact the polo help desk for anything.
Also what letter did your account begin with?

My Account started with A as well (we may be on to something here)!! but not, I did not contact their help desk at all before that,
Did you see any unauthorized activity on your account?
Pretty sure that the hackers got the lists of both accounts with 2fa or non 2fa but just can't access the 2fa enabled accounts so the hackers just went through the unenabled ones.
Big chances the hackers themselves have the access to the database because phishing account especially an exchanger ones is kinda difficult.
4663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum in 5 years on: July 01, 2017, 12:12:00 AM
What would be your target price of Ethereum for 2022?
How about 0.4 - 0.5 BTC per ETH? As Ethereum is growing so repidly, that price is not so hard to reach, it's not saying about the dumping of Bitcoin price so that Ethereum Price should be 1000 - 1500$/ ETH in the future.
That price would suck my money only for fees, as you can see that the current fee is about 0.001 ETH and if the price of each ETH is that high, we'll be doomed. Guess what, no more cheap token movement, each transaction you'll need to decide wisely.
And one more, if the scalability become more worse, wonder how much money we'll spend for just sending a damn ETHs
4664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Celebrity Investor Mark Cuban is About to Participate in His First ICO on: July 01, 2017, 12:02:10 AM
Once the big boys start to play, it will get harder to make money. So be aggressive now, buy during this dip and hold. Most will rise and fall together.
I know, you're referring to unfair distribution in which majority of distribution will go to the whale or as you say  "big boys".
People who want to join the ICO are now need to compete with other people because ICO have a cap and the network might be down when you send your coin, once it become more popular ofcourse.
4665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ADX]*NEW* AdEx Network - Decentralized Ad Exchange on: June 30, 2017, 11:35:02 AM

Congrats......
Only few minutes to Complete ICO
congrats congrats Grin Grin Grin Grin
As I expected, thing goes smooth, the project itself already promising from the start and it can be predicted that the crowdsale will lasts in short amount of time.
I guess the whole tokens will be sold in just less than a day.
4666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin transaction fees fair? on: June 29, 2017, 01:04:17 AM
Actually, it's really fair eh, I mean we all know that last year we don't really have a transction fee because we all know that time that bitcoin is just only 700$ and it's not that really big. But compare now, it'a almost 3k$ and it's just fsir to have a transaction fee to be also a help for thosr miners

Long time ago, bitcoin's fee is about 0.0001 and also the low price of bitcoin make it even cheaper but today alongside with the significant increases in bitcoin price, and a number of users, the scalability issues make the fees increasing significantly, from 0.0001 to around 0.0008 for average 226bytes transaction size. It's ain't fair and I can't even see the fair thing on this.
4667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum in 5 years on: June 28, 2017, 10:19:01 AM
For every Etherium there is 0.11589994 bitcoin. For every 0.11589994 bitcoin there is $293.13. Well right now its a little bit big. Now let's talk about the bitcoin and etherium race for number 1. Eth is next to bitcoin in the chart. But in 5 years if bitcoin's growth will be stagnant then I think we can still see Eth next to bitcoin. But if bitcoin dumps and eth will continue its journey on its price going higher then we can see etherium will rise a little bit to the point that it will ALMOST beat bitcoin in the race.

I find it amusing that a lot of people are anxiously waiting for "The Flippening" by Ethereum. It is clear that Ethereum has scalability issues and cannot handle the amount of transactions Bitcoin is currently handling. If Bitcoin is scaled properly (without a chain split) I don't see any other Cryptocurrency passing it in the next 5 years — not even Ethereum.
Reminds me of one time when many people said that bitcoin is kinda expensive and slow while they don't know the truth that the scalability could attack any crypto which use blockchain system and gets crowded.
Now when ETH's network is down even if the amount of transaction is not as much as bitcoin, people lose their mind. An interesting thing to see overtime.
4668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In what coin do you guys see the future? on: June 28, 2017, 10:14:05 AM
those guys that invested in btc a dew years back are really lucky now so i wanna know what you guys think about the next cryptocurrency that will rival btc?

I feel ETH, ETC and LTC are good candidates to rival Bitcoin and perhaps overcome and dethrone bitcoin. There are lots to be done and miles to go before this happens. Right now I would rank ETH has the number one contender and ETC as the 2nd contender. Finally, last but not the least LTC as the final contender. Things can change if new tokens or coins come out of nowhere in future. We will have to see about it.

Shit's happen, those coins are now dumped hardly but hoping to recover very soon. Those may have the chance to dethrone bitcoin seeing from its volume which rising significantly in the recent time.
But, the bubble is now over, I wonder what'll happen next, many of investors may moving out their money to another one, or keep holding. Just if every success ICO always use ETH as its main currency, it'll be a serious threat to bitcoin, even it's already now.
4669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH ia going down!! on: June 28, 2017, 09:04:47 AM
Hold for a little while. The price will more than likely rebound. However, I have been hearing rumors about one of the first investors dumping all of their coins at once. No on earth why the guy would do that. Supposedly he just whiped out the whole buy side of the books in one dump..
I'm not holder of ETH, also i want talk negatively or something similar, i just want to present some facts. ETH was really something new and they succeed to get a lot of media attention. Considering total number tonkens in cirkulation this price is appropriate but non sustainable becase lot of erly adopters exiting now. For them this is the end of ride, and they will seek for other projects now.. Correction will be at lower levels..
Pump No.2 is very possible, but much later after "cashing out" .
That's just pure speculation I guess, beside of that, the fact that ETH is getting hardly dumped is still there, as you said that there'll be another pump coming but people are already panic.
Some even said that it's the end of ICO bubble which recently affect the price of ETH really much that cause the network of ETH down. just matter about the time, I'll wait and see.
4670  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex Or Bittrex? on: June 28, 2017, 07:30:44 AM
bittrex is better. Good support (following these guys on twitter), you can contact directly with them on slack. For example polo don't even answer the tickets.
Nah, my problem just got followed up after asking in their slack, whereas Poloniex take an age to answer my ticket. Maybe, their supports are pretty much busy recalling that they have so many users and some of them might encounter a problem. Just hope this kind of responsive customer will always be the bittrex's advantage, my majority of trading is there.
4671  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you give bitcoin as a wedding gift? on: June 28, 2017, 06:44:54 AM
I guess no, giving Bitcoin is a bad idea especially if the amount is too little, better to give them some stuff that's actually cheap but looks valuable. It might be a really unique give but not the best give.
I'm honestly better to save up my bitcoin for myself rather than giving out to other people, it's an investment, but flower or cake is not  Roll Eyes .
4672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Feel sorry for the panic traders/investors for selling at low. its now all green on: June 27, 2017, 11:14:38 AM
The indicator in my Android trading app is still red as well as what happens in http://coinmarketcap.com/. Eventually, there'll be a price increase at the end but it's not wrong to sometimes the whole crypto world's getting dumped.
Those panic sellers is a natural thing to happen, there's no point of bragging about it but put your efforts changing people's opinion.

Which app trading for Android ?
I often use TabTrader but never really sync it to my exchanges account for the security reason of course (actually, not intended to), but there's a bunch of many other applications if you search on the same category.

So, another good project of this season. Wonder how this one will sell in the market, the dev appears to be really promising and the minimum target is easy to achieve, random guess it'll not take that much time.
30 June is near, and will come very soon  Smiley
4674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you store >100 Bitcoins? on: June 27, 2017, 05:51:18 AM
I will divide it to 4 places, 20 BTC for web wallet, 20 BTC for paper wallet, 20 BTC for desktop wallet and 20 BTC for USB wallet.

And with the other remaining ones 10 BTC will be invested to a trusted casino bankroll.

While the remaining 10 bitcoin, I'm going to spend that for anything I want or exchange it for fiat.
If I had 100BTC, I'd probably cash out half of it. I'm not greedy and the price used to be very high for the last couple months, so I'd use at least 20% of that to buy myself some nice treats, like a summer house near a lake.
As for the storage, I'd probably divide it into two parts. Trading and cold storage. If you're a trader, even 10BTC is a very good capital to play with and with another 90 in cold storage the risk is minimal and definitely worth it. Cold storage would consist of an offline netbook with Linux, that I'd connect only to send transactions, use only a secure network, and never install anything, open emails or surf the Internet.

for me I also do such thing! I cash-out half and save to bank and the other half I save it in my other bitcoin wallet for long term investment.
Nah, to be honest, I'll cash them out right when the price at its peak and just probably left about 5% in my wallet for some purposes such as investing into some project that I think is worth it to invest, at least it's what I'm currently doing right now.
No point of storing that much BTC forever because the risk of being hacked is still there and quite big so better to avoid the worse problem may appear.

4676  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we should fear a cashless world on: June 22, 2017, 11:10:51 PM
I hope for a future that in that time even the poor people and the small businesses will also rely on digital system and for them it will not be impossible to adopt this system. We can see that before bitcoin only rich people were the traders but now even poor people can trade so in the past poor businesses will also get benefits.
seeing from the fee, taxes, and etc. Those poor who do trades seem to have a really low profit because all of the profit already deducted to pay these things. The rich don't have a problem with this matter as their earning is overwhelmingly high but those poor really struggling, even they can't buy a full coin of ETH, what do you expect? The poor don't really benefit from this activities, instead, they'll seek another chance of earning huge amount of money.
4677  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin prices rise high on: June 22, 2017, 12:00:04 PM
Many people are now curious to know what bitcoin is, whereas once bitcoin was just underestimated, now upside down many people stop working instead they prefer to focus on bitcoin

Is this the impact of rising bitcoin prices?

Yes, one of many factors that affects bitcoin fame. Maybe higher price is the most interesting part for new adopters and trigger when they know it was $1, $100, or $1000 in the early of this year and could leap to an amazing price within 2 months.
Bitcoin deserve so much attention from people who want to diversify their wealth or looking for another investment.
Furthermore, bitcoiners believe that bitcoin could reach fantastic price such as $100K and even $1 Million, but who knows.
As a bitcoin believer and user for a few years, i believe that bitcoin can reach those fantastic prices because back in the day when bitcoin is still low or cheap, a lot of people thought the same thing. They doubt about bitcoin and just sell their bitcoins to secure their profits but now the price is high and they are all regretting about it for not believing in bitcoin that can already make them wealthy.
I think the circumstance back then is really different with today, aside of scaling problem, there's much more than needing to be solved, while at the same time, other cryptocurrencies have to gain its dominance towards bitcoin and so does with the investor.
As you can see how Ethereum's latest network problem reflects that Ethereum is now facing the same issue as bitcoin(scaling) and that also means that Ethereum is now become more popular.
4678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: are transaction delays crashing Bitcoin prices? on: June 22, 2017, 11:51:02 AM
I've noticed that whenever BTC gets near to $3000, transaction costs go up and payments start getting stuck. The next day it seems to crash down again. Is this a coincidence?
Guess what, the increase of fee caused by the increase of transaction which you can simply make a conclusion from this that when the price just hits $3000, people are in hurry of selling their Bitcoin, they'll pay higher fee than usual expecting their transaction to be arrived very soon which cause the significant increase of the fee, If you're wondering why the price keeps on crashing at this time, it's because of the dump caused by those kinds of people.
4679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We can't buy something with Bitcoin quickly on: June 22, 2017, 08:24:38 AM
The merchant could easily see whether your transaction will be fine or not by checking out the current recommendation fee and compare it to yours, though, if the merchants use some sort of bitcoin payment gateway that supports zero confirmation, It's all will be fine, the money will be directly transferred to the merchant's bank account. Still, not a convenient way to go though.
4680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Returning to bitcoin after 2 years! shocked at confirmation time! on: June 22, 2017, 02:29:18 AM
From what i know, the speed is roughly the same, the difference is the price or fee you have to pay. Now it's more expensive to send bitcoin because the demand and number of transactions is increasing compared to 2 years ago.

You’re right, the amount of time required for the transaction to get confirmed is pretty much the same as a couple of years ago. People were complaining about the transaction fees then too and a little bit of progress was made from the complaints (Viabtc was built so the transactions could get accelerated causing a bunch transactions getting confirmed much faster than normal).

We are seeing a little bit of progress of the years, if only more miners applied a free transaction accelerator for the people.
Don't expect that to happen in the future, Viabtc was created in purpose of supporting bitcoin unlimited if I'm not mistaken, the miners will not going to make a free BTC accelerator because it'll reduce their profit.
If you want to see the reality, just look at Bitcoin accelerator other than Viabtc, they'll require you to pay a high amount of money, that's what miners actually want from you.
