No, it's not a forum Tongue
It's an account that gives the ability to direct large sums of money to bitcoin addresses - which of course if a payout is made it is irreversible.

Check your bank's timeout. There's a reason they don't make it very long either Smiley

I don't mind putting it up to 1hr, but certainly no more.

You are correct.  I missed the implications.  We use 20 minutes where I work, and our customers complain about it all the time, but that's what we're told we have to set it to.

Thanks.

My hashrate stabilized to correct ghs after the first 6 hours. All looks great.

I do have something for the suggestion box(or I may be doing something wrong) we need some type of cookie or something for the dashboard so I don't have to keep putting my username and password in every time I want to check my stats. I use android only(other than pi's) and made a shortcut like I do with my other pools, but still have to log in ckpool almost every time.
Yeah it's a php session timeout - on the server I've got it at the php/apache default of 24 minutes.
If you access the web page less than 24 minutes between each time, the php session in the browser should still be alive.
I see that happen all the time myself also, but don't think it's a good idea to have it much longer.

I can extend the session time to 1hr if no one has any objections, but I'm not really keen to have it much longer.

No real reason to be so short most polls leave you logged in for 24 hours.

I use 99999 minutes on the forum..

Any update on this?  I switched pools temporarily.  Can anyone confirm that shares are still being accepted even though the webpage is down?

In all the time I've been here, I've never seen a case where front end problems affect back end shares.  All is well, you just can't see it.

BITMAIN Promotion plan for S3+, S4 and C1
$50 coupon for S3+, $400 coupon for S4 and $50 coupon for C1 are issued to customers who ever bought miners from BITMAIN or our official distributors Smiley

No C1 coupons here either. Sad

luck seems quite good --- makes me wonder about some larger pools and if they are being 'attacked' with selfish mining/block witholding.....

It's mathematically impossible to get more than 100% over a long period of time.  It is incredibly lucky that this pool is doing so well ... at some point luck will turn.

M

EDIT: That's assuming someone didn't find a way to magically find blocks.  That's highly unlikely (presumably impossible), of course.  If so, it's the end of Bitcoin as we know it.

Legitmate Question about calculations in the pool:

Can someone explain to me about shares?

One would think the S4 would have more shares than the S3's?  I'm curious why not?  Yes, the block percentage is higher than the rest but not the shares.  Just curious why?  Trying to learn.

The S4 is worker_17...

It's called variable difficulty.  The S4 has a higher share difficulty than your S3s, ending up in fewer, yet higher value shares, submitted.

Dogie,

no Bitmain isn't using the p2pool share chain.

Right now:
Pool rate: 3.88PH/s (7.0% DOA+orphan) Share difficulty: 16500000

murraypaul:

if they were using the p2pool sharechain, they can't divide their payment up into 2 addresses in the coinbase payout.
They can pay it to themselves, as the p2pool does, and then later distribute it based on some fee/nofee calculation of course - but that of course won't be all the tx fees, just their payout % of them.
But as I said at the start of this post, they aren't using the p2pool share chain anyway.

And as you said earlier .. if they try to force some different protocol into the chain, they will fork it.  Which means, still, they aren't using it.

Shipping cost to Hungary (UPS) 112 USD Huh  Shocked  This is nightmare !

Anyone know a dealer in Europe?

It's about the same to the US.  Bitmain effectively priced themselves out of the market with that move.

Hello,

I have 4 x C1 and all are without cooling kit. I only started one of them but temprature of hashing boards goes over 80C and then they turns off. I have 2 x s4 too and they are fine in my room. Window is open and there is cool wind in the room.

Why it's temprature goes very high? because on site it says they should be on 40C in 25C room temprature and my room temptarure is 10C.

Then does it mean that I can not use them without cooling kit?
What if I open their cases and then run them?  Huh Undecided

What is full cooling system price?

I'm pretty sure they need a cooling system.  Otherwise they will overheat.

I think the first second post here has links to cooling systems.

As to p2p mining, Antpool collects all subscribed miners to its servers, and then contributes to the already exist p2p network (p2pool.info).
Then why is p2pool currently only ~4.2PH?

I'm sure anyone who knows anything about p2pool knows what they are describing is impossible.  It can't plug in to the existing p2pool chain AND radically change things like the frequent restart issue.

I agree with what others said, BS.

With the risk of being called names, being banned, flamed, having my puny wallet hacked and generally being treated horribly, I felt the need to write my very first post in this forum and say what I think about Eligius and the people who run it and also the people who support it. Just joined after noobing for a few months and getting ripped by other pools and for the first time I understand how things work (by reading this very thread, by the way). You contribute, block is found, 25 bitcoins are split based on contribution, crystal clear. Some days it takes a while to find a block and the payment queue is slow, some days many blocks are found fast and the rewards are sent faster. You can track everything and everything is out in the open. No fees of any kind, that's awesome - in the true spirit of the cryptocurrency concept. My first payment came straight from being generated and not from some wallet, that had a cool factor for me (yes, still a silly noob, go ahead and make fun). The guys who run this fixed a problem in no time yesterday, I was impressed. The people who believe that a one time 16 hour block is a tragedy, should look at the stats, Eligius has a fairly large piece of the pie out there in terms of blocks found. All in all I think this is a cool community and I think I'll stay and support it, at least until my wife decides that she does not want to pay our ever growing electric bill anymore. I know it will never make me rich, I just don't know how to run 16 Antminers out of my closet like dmwardjr - not that even that will ever make me rich (sorry dmwardjr, love your setup) - my electric panel will just blow up, I can't even run an electric heater without tripping circuit breakers. But I know this will change the world and I'm happy I'm part of it.

Eligius is cool.  Don't forget to setup your NMC payout address.  I just got another one payout recently.  At 0% fee + NMC, I don't see why anyone would want to mine anywhere else.

1133  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Cooled Miner C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: November 13, 2014, 01:04:19 AM
They probably aren't making so many of them, since it is hard to justify $500 plus all the extras for only 1TH/s. Even Spondoolie lowered their price on their SP20 %40, but some are having problems. I guess everyone is having problems.

Antminer C1 Batch2  was 400USD+shipping

... which is about $500 to the US.  I just spec'd it out about an hour before it went out of stock.

1134  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Cooled Miner C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: November 13, 2014, 12:14:04 AM
I was thinking about getting one of these.  With shipping, without a PSU, without coolant, it's about $500.  That's a bit steep for 1 TH/s imho.

Looks like your run of good luck just ran out, hope you enjoyed that 18 hour block Smiley

Last 10 blocks: 91.47%
Last 12 hours: 24.6%
Last 24 hours: 61.08%
Last 7 days: 101.6%
Last 30 days: 103.54%
Last 90 days: 99.18%

I'd say Eligius is still doing just fine.

C1 Batch2 opens sale now, Cooling Kits are included Smiley

I don't get it.  3 BTC for an S4, or 2 BTC for two C1s.  Granted you need a PSU ... but they aren't worth 1 BTC.

Well I would mention that Windows 10 is available for free and is quite easy to install and run VM as an Enterprise version is available as well, BUT,  it would seem that because these are preview versions that there is an outside chance that Microsoft has a key logger included...............

Outside chance?  I think it's well documented that they are recording EVERYTHING.  I wouldn't use IE10 outside of a brief look in a VM.

M
Well documented? Do you have a cited source for that statement. It's well documented that MS have an opt out for the customer experience on all of their products.

M
ah yeah, you are talking about the tech preview specifically? yes, it is a tech preview, Microsoft pay a lot of attention to their beta programs these days which is why their products as so much more stable when they are released. It's all good info that just helps them deliver a better product to you.
It's not a good idea to run a tech preview for your every day work anyway and the final version will not do this as they are not actively trying to find bugs and develop the final product.

anyway.. you always have the choice right?

You know what, I just realized I said IE 10 when I meant Windows 10.

That's all Win 10 is right now, a developer preview.

I stuck those little pads on each of the speakers and it didnt really make much of a difference.  They are still loud.  I have just learned to live with it, however I wish there was a fix so we could disable it.

I think it goes to show Bitmain isn't targeting Mr. Home Hobby User, but Mr. Big Datacenter.
