For you, who thinks that the big banks will use XRP:

https://www.coindesk.com/bank-of-america-files-9-more-blockchain-patent-applications/

They are working on their own blockchain ("privately decentralize":  mined by accredited miners, branches or partners)

Sorry for the FUD that may come behind. This is serious news in the bank industry. Maybe XRP can still become something in smaller countries (asia?). But watch OMG then...

Anyway: don't buy XRP bc you think it is gonna be the occudental world's standard for money movements. Buy it for something else (i dunno what... therefore I sold)
from patent , do you know how long it takes to have a usable product ? at least 3yrs and even then it will be prob beta at best.

BS.
We are not intue medical industry.
It can take 3 days for pure software, depending on the patent.
wtf , are you serious 3days to make lol how long have you been in crypto  Roll Eyes
you have no idea m8.
lols "pure software"  Cheesy

Xrp price increase just a moment, many players are very losers with this coin, with a long enough time, the price of XRP can not be believed,
rising prices are only for the manipulation of circumstances
lols  no only noobies that cant wait are losers,
the players have made alot and will make alooot more,
rises in price are because of rising demand.
Also your right i cant believe the price lol its so damn cheap , this time next yr when its $5 +
we will look back and wonder wow it was around 20cents per XRP  Smiley

^ tek, you maybe right, but..
why is there no huge dump if thats real?
why are the big bch wallets getting bigger?

i see it as part of the plan to get rid of weak hands.

I see absolutely no benefit to segwit at all, and not even one person has come forward to tell us , we are wrong and the reasons why we should embrace segwit over bitcoin cash
You must be mentally ill or paid to think something as ridiculous as that.

Who's the developer of that? Seems shady.

Coincidence Dash seeing nice gains alongside BCC? Check out who is featured on this guest-list.
A scam coin getting pumped along BCC? How surprising. Roll Eyes
lauda, you talk so much shit, its unreal, you mislead and lie, im sure i know you from another name in the past here...and i hated you then aswell.
You should get out of crypto and stick to cats.

My point highlighted above , again its true, instead of decent conversation on pros-and cons...i get shit, dumb, crap one liners from pathetic stupid chart watching loser trolls.

as for your instamined dash crap, and same with you tek , that shitty monero ..has it even got a wallet yet lol...
go troll your fake-private coins.. on some nooby forum where people are unaware of the long-con.
hi pumpy nice to see you again.
so you are con segwit?
i wonder since you are always very well informed did you see a secure bch wallet yet ?

no lauda/roselee, its not nice to see you, you have always been a twisted mental person,  ..please dont speak to me or quote me.

XRP RIPPLE  Cool
2288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: August 25, 2017, 11:45:25 PM
XRP is the best investment you can make.

I have been discussing XRP for a long time now, and had the same arguments over and over again. I understand the people who don't like XRP because working with banks goes against the crypto ethos, but apart from that I've yet to see a single sensible argument as to why XRP won't succeed.

Anyone who thinks XRP will not absolutely transform international finance - just research it more. Understand what Ripple are aiming for, and look at how they are going about it. The talent, ambition and professionalism of Ripple is unrivalled in crypto.

This is a long-term hold, and absolutely the best long-term hold.

I agree with most of what you said. I'm not convinced it's the best investment one can make, but it's definitely a long-term play. The fact that they have Ben fucking Bernanke as a speaker at their luau speaks volumes about the pull they have in the establishment, and the long-term potential for the coin. That's why I'm holding, and likely increasing my position now that the pullback is happening.

XRP and Ripple are not for those who are in for constant appreciation in the foreseeable future (years) due to Ripple's massive XRP holdings, or looking to change the status quo in the global banking system. It's for those who want to see SWIFT being deposed (I'm all for it, see what they've done in recent years), and possibly as an upcoming reserve currency. Latter is a huge if, and I'm not sure if Ripple and bankers even want that. If the Fed is one of the XRP holders and buyers, I'd wager there is a real chance of XRP becoming a new global reserve currency, though...

you guys are not far off, everything is spot on.
There are some huge plans for xrp ripple, from the biggest players on the planet,
they just need to get as much coin from all of us before we find out lol
We must hodl and not be shakin out...and if you can buy now...do it.

^ yo yo memberb , hows things m8

word on the (wall)street is...

there is going be be a huge downtrend coming...im guessing sept will be really rough for anyone not in crypto

HSBC Holdings Plc, Citigroup Inc. and Morgan Stanley see mounting evidence that global markets are in the last stage of their rallies before a downturn in the business cycle.

Analysts at the Wall Street behemoths cite signals including the breakdown of long-standing relationships between stocks, bonds and commodities as well as investors ignoring valuation fundamentals and data. It all means stock and credit markets are at risk of a painful drop.

grab em XRP asap and hodl em , there is a huge market coming and they dont mind paying $1, $5, $10 even $20 per XRP

^beanie man is back...lol is that what sprouts from your beans otto

tek..not just me, but the millions and "millions" of bitcoin fans around the world.... are accumulating big time just now... lol
the koreans are teaming up with the chinese they love dem bch  Tongue

So why is the 24h volume down about 70% someones not buying now and bithumb trading is way down to what is was and this was the main price driver
you have been here since 2012 , you should know the pattern bro,
after pump, suppress price and push down as hard as they can, rid of weak hands accumulate more
then while accumulation, more noobies end up picking up cheap coin, so they must go too lol...so remove all buys, push up sell side, hope the noobs are in margin and put em under pressure.

once this is finished we can safely put on our spacesuits and go for a new ath...ahhhh  Smiley

http://veekyforums.com/thread/3186191/business/the-lighting-network-requires-a-subscription-fee.html
yea i do, ive been sayin things like this will happen for past 3weeks...
if is its true , how would you feel?

heres a comment from a reader.
likeme
Blockstream now has SegWit jammed into BTC and it can't be removed, next they're going to lower the blocksize and force everyone into SegWit transactions and LN so everyone is stuck using bank-run LN hubs because they're the only ones "cheap" enough to send a transaction under $1,000

You will pay a sub fee, submit to AML/KYC, and pay your fees to bankers instead of miners.

Enjoy your new shitcoin, should have bought Cash.

another reader,
the idea that you pay a monthly bill to blockstream instead of paying per transaction is *really* bad. do you need me to explain why? it's not the "same thing."

another...Requires locking funds into a payment channel, like a bank account
Funds stay locked up until you pay to close the channel, like a bank account
Fees go to channel provider, who is most likely a bank, banking 2.0
Provider can force channels closed, require registration, AML/KYC, fully vulnerable to government confiscation

In the short term, Lightning should reduce on-chain fees significantly.
Essentially they become subscription fees to use Bitcoin, rather than per-transaction fees.

In case anyone try to enforce anything like that (maybe by spamming the network as usual), this will be the market reaction in a matter of hours:

                   bch                                                 me                                                           btc
2295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: August 25, 2017, 12:34:09 AM
Is there any end to the rising fees? I won't move BTC because of the cost, I use LTC and ETH to move because it's cheap, soon BCH.
my point exactly...
no the fees will only go one way...up, and things will get much slower soon too, its part of the plan by core, they being doing this for a while now,
you are forced into segshit, an alt or the real bitcoin bch

Dear Bitcoin: I’m Sorry, Fees Will Rise, Blockstream developer Rusty Russell paints a dark picture for the world’s first great cryptocurrency. He praises the benefit of a decentralized payment system, but insists it will never scale, saying that “Bitcoin fees are only going to rise from now on. Plan on it.”
2296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: August 25, 2017, 12:23:39 AM
2 blocks found and the resulting unconfirmed transactions are immediately climbing above 70k

https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

You won't see a massive drop everyone is still using legacy addresses still but new wallet addresses will start being segwit ones and only then will you see any effect from this

Segwit was more about fixing security issues that allow for greater improvements than scaling the scaling benefit is just a bonus

bro...wait a sec...really...
so lets say in a yr or more...if i want to move  cold storage btc to a new wallet...then it becomes segshit?

No not if you keep using a legacy address 1xxxxxxxxx....xxx to make it segwit it needs to go to a segwit address 3xxxxxx...xxx

If you carry on with a 1x address your transactions will be stored in blocks exactly the same as they are on BCH

My cold storage will always remain in a 1x legacy address and I will use a 3x segwit address for everyday usage
ahh get ya
ive got a bunch mined from 2011, never been touched, never plan to move them (+the bch i got with them)

i still wont ever use segblockcore addresses, giving blockstream a cut..no thanks, rather not use slow lbtc, better off using bch
