2401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling on: August 19, 2017, 08:47:50 PM
Well, we've seen lots of weird stuff in the alt market, but after last night and this morning, I think this is the weirdest of all.
Although I'm with the BTC side (segwit-coin, lol), I must admit that the BCH fanboys have some valid arguments.
BCH is indeed closer to the original version of bitcoin. Segwit is indeed a major modification.

I still don't believe that we'll see the flippening or parity, but this unstoppable rally is awesome.

BTW, Mr. Pumperitis, I'm sorry for being ironic and laughed at you, now I see you had a point...
I'm not saying you're totally right, but some things you said are true.

Now let's all enjoy the rest of the rally, and see where it stops...  Grin

No need to be sorry bro, im just glad you looked into it a bit deeper and came to your own conclusion  Smiley
A very honest post imo, and i respect that alot.
Gd luck and welcome to the family  Kiss

https://cash.coin.dance/blocks
There have been 1110 blocks mined since the hard fork.
(1576 blocks behind the original chain)

The Bitcoin Cash blockchain is currently operating at 13% of the original chain's difficulty.

The original chain has grown 2.30GB more than the Bitcoin Cash blockchain.

It is currently 77% more profitable to mine on the Bitcoin Cash blockchain. Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

Cute , guess you lost money.

Don't blame me because you are dim witted.
feel free to fuck off

Bitcoin Cash 24 hour Trading Volume is $3,029,520,000    higher than old 1mb Bitcoin $2,894,220,000 , at the time of this post.

╥Aztek

You say some interesting things.
But for those of us who are not very technical at all, could you or (anyone) kindly do a point by point comparison of the technologies?

On one hand what does BTC have and on the other side what does BCC have.

This would take me forever to do so I would understand if no one has the time.

Or maybe someone either already knows or it has been done and a link can be posted.

Good day.
Heres some info m8, but i would advise ,research more.

https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@krabgat/what-is-segwit

The arguments against Segwit are:

The block size increase is not enough to satisfy the growing needs of Bitcoin’s user base.
Others see a hidden agenda as a large number of people working on SegWit are also employed by a company called Blockstream, whose primary product is side-chain solutions.
Because a side-chain’s transaction will be verified by a trusted third party it is an unacceptable compromise because this is what the blockchain is supposed to eliminate.

The SegWit is providing solution to the following challenges in the network;

Resolve the weak spot in the Bitcoin software
Increase of the block size limit to an absolute maximum of 4 MB. The actual block size will depend on the network conditions. It is predicted by experts to be in the range of about two to 2.1 megabytes immediately after SegWit’s activation.
Remove the barrier to the implementation of second-layer solutions (side-chains) like the proposed Lightning Network. Second-layer solutions remove the bulk of the transactions off the blockchain to a side-chain.

(bcc solves these issuses and more)
If Bitcoin Cash gets majority of PoW then it becomes de facto Bitcoin.

If you havent already, then now would be a gd time to accumulate XRP...tbc  Cool

Accumulating as much as possible right now.
Nice one V..
Was it this month when BOE announce they will/will not join Ripple?..... i think it was
2406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling on: August 19, 2017, 04:29:50 AM

2407  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 19, 2017, 02:46:14 AM
I just want to use Bitcoin as a currency. I honestly do not care too much about the small differences between the two chains. They both have SegWit which will allow the Lightning Network which will allow for fast, cheap microtransactions.
Then it has to be bch, thats the aim of it.as Satoshis knew it would be..no 3rd party,no 2nd layer, lower fees, higher txps and more.

No my chain is better...no mine is...no mine!

Whatevs.

No surprise here to see so many people shilling this.  It doesn't take a genius to figure out they all got it for free and want to make it rise as much as possible before they exit.

Will Segwit work as advertised without any flaws? Probably. But probably isn't good enough for those holding massive amounts of BTC. It is a particularly risky time to hold BTC before Segwit happens. If a big reduction in mining support happens, and there is a simultaneous mass panic, BTC will grind to a halt and drop like a rock before Segwit can save the day. I think we are starting to see some of this realization by BTC holders and today's drop in price. We'll watch over the next few days to see if it continues.

https://news.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-cash-8mb-block-479469-clears-over-37000-transactions/

uh, the people who pushed segwit are the ones holding massive amounts of btc and investment in btc related businesses.

Right, but the point I was trying to make is that a big change like Segwit adds risk. BCH is a hedge against that risk. BCH has already implemented their scaling solution and it has passed the stress test. BTC is still waiting for its scaling implementation and it hasn't been through real world stress tests.

If I held a large amount of BTC then I would also want to hold at least the same amount of BCH as protection in the event Segwit does not go well. If I saw that BCH had successfully implemented and tested its scaling solution then I would be inclined to buy even more BCH.

Regardless of your emotional feelings towards Segwit, it makes a lot of sense to protect yourself by at the very least holding an equal amount of BCH. These Pro-Segwit whales are hedging their bets. The ones who are dumping BCH are the peons at the bottom rung of the food chain and the whales are buying more than they held in the first place.

Savik talks sense, thats one of many reasons to be in bch.

Have a look at the active miners and take your pick I would say ViaBTC

that 92% is jihan wu as well. call him up and ask for the unknown pool. he'll hook you up.
you think so...
what if its a collaboration between miners, exchanges and big hodlers that know whats going to happen to their business if bcash fails.

They know they would have to share profits with a 3rd party,
that will always increase charges as time passes
and possibly even have the power to shut their business down if they let segwitcoin win.
2415  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 18, 2017, 11:40:31 PM
can someone please pump this coin, i need to sell more
and i wouldnt mind the price of bch to dip a bit so i can buy more bch.
many thanks  Smiley

Has anybody checked the BTC fee and how long it takes to send?
I have?

and who do you think is responsible for that?

your buddies who created bcash and are trying to force you to buy into their pump.

they're a real helpful bunch.
cmon m8, behave lol
btc fees were high before bcash and i was telling you for past 2weeks when the coin was 3x lower to buy!
so stop lying please.

Mr. pumperwhatsoever, just look at his number of posts in this thread, the guy is clearly a bag holder of BCH and he will drop it asap, so many years in this business, we get used to manipulators.

  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

no need to get personal with me m8, not my fault you act like a greedy noob and wanted "free money" and did no research.
The number of posts on this thread lol, go check xrp and eth threads , i got at least 100xtimes more posts there..esp when the coins were $1 and under1cent..guess who was telling everyone to buy  Kiss Kiss
guess who still hodls eth and xrp and now the real bitcoin  Kiss Kiss Kiss Cool

Please anyone thats reading this..
THIS IS NOT AN ALTCOIN.

The definition of an ALTCOIN is: Any crypto currency that is not BTC

So Bitcoin Cash (BCC) is an ALTCOIN like maybe ~ 1000 other ALTCOINS including more than 10 other coins based directly on BTC.

Or is Bitconnect, First Bitcoin, BitcoinDark, ... also no ALTCOIN for you? Wink
If i would now just fork BTC too like Bitcoin Cash did and name it "The one and only real Bitcoin" would that be an ALTCOIN for you or not? Smiley
Please do not tell me anything about coins...you clearly have no idea what you are talking about.
Go learn and study crypto and come back to me in 5years.  Kiss

I was in touch with that topic already 2009 when BTC came out and you? Smiley
Play with your bubble alt coin and enjoy the time till it goes back where it was Wink - in the meantime you might have some time to learn about crypto but you might have to be faster than you think Grin
then you have a very poor understanding of what you think you know...gd luck and hopefully you leanr what the real Bitcoin is ..bcc/bch/bcash   Smiley

I think I'm both I'm not a huge fan of Bitcoincash so I am very ignorant on its latest news or updates that is why I'm asking thanks for correcting me will watch more on this thread and we'll see where it would lead us
Think of this as an altcoin with a huge premine. There is no reason for Bitcoin Cash to exist, not for anyone to use it. Additionally, they've been very mallicious and tried to steal the BCC ticker which is already taken. Bitcoin Cash = Bcash = BCH.
Please anyone thats reading this..
THIS IS NOT AN ALTCOIN.
even if lauda likes to think it is, its only because they are misinformed or spreading lies.
Lauda you are coming across as a very naive person that has no idea about crypto and its fundamentals.

Tell me this why are you so happy to support a 3rd party controlling all of bitcoin?
tell me the pros and cons of segwit...can you? all i see is cons btw
or are you going to keep running your mouth with no substance other than your stupid opinion.

lols. surprised to see this on your profile..
'This, to me, is the ultimately heroic trait of ordinary people; they say no to the tyrant and they calmly take the consequences of this resistance.'
In this instance, blockstream is the tyrant and we are the ordinary people taking the consequences of this resistance...what are you doing?
why do you support segwitcoin?...lols
