81  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: We created a site featuring merchants who offer discounts for bitcoin use on: April 24, 2018, 12:27:59 PM
Nice, didn't know Anthrax and Five Finger are accepting cryptos.
I guess I know where my monthly spending goes Tongue
Try to create service announcement topic too, that should attract more attention.

@OP
Can you add ZenVPN?
It's a Singapore Based VPN Service, it offers 50% discount for every purchase made with Bitcoin
Quote
we will be slashing 50% off the price of every purchase made with Bitcoin. That’s right, any of the plans we are offering you can now get for half the price if you pay with BTC.
https://zenvpn.net/en/bitcoin-discount/

I was just wondering what incentive these merchants have to do this? I know some merchants will do this, because they support the cause, but what monetary incentive do they have to do this? We previously approached these merchants and substantiated the use of discounts, because they paid less fees on their transactions. <Bank charges were much higher then>

How do you guys approach these merchants and what motivation are there for them to do this? If we know your strategy, then we might approach some merchants on our own and refer them to your site, once these discounts was negotiated with them.  Huh
Some store already accepting cryptos to begin wtih, they would probably experiment with cryptos in hope that the price would rise someday giving them a higher profit in long term.
As for coupons, OP probably strikes a deal with those website that allows him to create his own custom coupons, it's already a thing between Youtuber and his sponsors, or he simply has connections to do this Wink
82  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for a job! on: April 23, 2018, 06:43:42 PM
The reason why I didnt put skill list because I dont want to deceive people using "professional" words. I realize that I'm still junior in every way, but I always love to learn new things.
I agree that the term "Professional" are subjective, some people might rate you as a pro, but others might have seen someone better than you.
The key here is to list all of your skills along with how many years of experience you had and past project you've done using that skills.
That way, people can judge themselves whether you are worth it for them or not Smiley

Maybe check Project Development Section?
That section are always filled with people looking for a team for their work.
83  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [CRYPTOPIA] Pending Deposit 3days since I created the ticket on: April 23, 2018, 10:24:36 AM
Check whether Cryptopia wallet are currently lagging behind or not.
https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/CoinInfo/
From my understanding, most of Cryptopia Deposit problem are because their wallet lagging behind from the Network, making your coins technically not appreared on their wallet yet.
Besides that, you either can wait update from Customer Support or post your issues on their ANN topic

84  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Stolen bitcoins (blockchain.info) on: April 23, 2018, 10:09:23 AM
2FA was used (enabled). In first post I posted a link to that transaction from my wallet.
How long have you been using 2FA?
Since 2FA enabled it means that your Private key were compromised, not your Blockchain Account.
If 2FA were turned on recently, that means the thief has access to your account for a long time and he has dumped your Private Key to another wallet.
If you got 2FA since you've registered on Blockchain, it means either you have clicked on Phishing link by accident or Rogue Browser Extension that steals your 2FA key.

I hope you don't lose much, just use this opportunity as a lesson and start using Desktop or Hardware Based Wallet, much secure Smiley
85  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: is yobit a scam, cant login? on: April 22, 2018, 05:21:56 PM
This is the message I am receiving from Yobit:
Invalid auth code. Please put valid code from email letter.
What is that even mean?
I registered and traded with them earlier no problem. Now it will not let me login.

Quote
Please put valid code from email letter.
What part of that sentence that you did not get?
You probably turned on 2FA, check your mail and type in the correct code, if issue still persist try contacting their support for help.

P.S. you are free to create a new topic instead of bumping old posts Smiley
86  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: my 2 new free bitcoin mining websites 1) freebitcoinmining.download on: April 22, 2018, 05:06:38 PM
thanks for all support, can anyone tell me do you get idea as a newbie to understand difference in desktop mining and paid hosting mining and different mining on my website www.freebitcoinmining.download ?

thanks for letting me know.
Might want to remove cloud mining section entirely or do a strict review on it.
Most Cloud Mining are proven scam in long term and it is never good to introduce newbies to Cloud Mining due to the risk.
Your domain also confusing, at first I thought it's a website to download mining software due to its domain extensions.

Mahanton,  teddy5145 - maybe my choice of words wasn't 100% accurate but I'm sure you both have seen warnings like "Cloud mining discussions do not belong here". That's what I meant.
Call me blind, but I never see those words before, where is it located at?

Is this some kind of cloud mining or some kind bitcoin mining extension like cryptotab ?
If this is an cloudmining dont expect that people here in bitcointalk will waste they're time on ponzi schemes and invest they're money that's not profitable.
It's a website for list of Cloud Mining and Desktop based reviews from what I've seen.
The domain confuses me too at first Tongue
87  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to replace coins as quickly and cheaply as possible ? on: April 21, 2018, 08:23:41 PM
I assume you mean exchanging your coins to fiat, correct?
I can't answer how to exchange your coins quickly and cheaply as possible, but I can answer other question.

Is it possible to withdraw and convert to fiat quickly without creating an account, verification procedures? Is there something like that now? What does it look like at this moment?
I know that there are many such topics, but I think it is worth to refresh the topic a little because a lot has changed recently.
Exchanges do require account in order to trade, I believe there are no true anonymous exchange that lets you do it without an account yet.
Exchanges requires verification in order to withdraw your fiat, this, I believe is to prevent any possible money laundering or other related shady activities.
Verification are almost the same between exchanges, you need to submit your Identity Proof and Bank Statement, others may require more than that, but usually you only need those two.

P.S. Wrong section, might want to move this to trading discussion or exchanges section Smiley
88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Wallet online for Bitcoin on: April 21, 2018, 08:12:50 PM
Gentlemen, and there are other alternatives? I wonder in which direction this will go? Maybe it is worth to be interested in something new? Now we have such times that every protection can become unfortunately not enough.

Or maybe the other way round? Key and address on a piece of paper hidden in the soil? ;-
If you're looking for a long term investment, go ahead.
Don't put your wallet in a place that is hard to reach if you're gonna spend it daily.

So far, I keep everything in ETH. The BTC exchange time is coming. Which wallet to choose online? What is the safest? Please help me:).

I now use www.myetherwallet.com + MetaMask.
Most online wallet has 2FA as their standard security, enable them.
Besides that there's not much of a difference, there will be a slight difference in Mining Fees, but that's it.
Scan your PC for any Malware, enable 2FA, and don't click suspicious links are the only thing you need to do.
Although I would recommend to get Desktop or Hardware wallet for more security Smiley
89  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: my 2 new free bitcoin mining websites 1) freebitcoinmining.download on: April 21, 2018, 06:50:33 PM
May I ask something, do mining is still profitable now a days? There are a lot of issue about mining specially on some contracts. Sorry for being a newbie in crypto mining industries.
If you're talking about cloud mining, most of them are a pyramid scheme. There are only a few legit ones out there, so I won't even bother with those.
Mining with GPU or Mining Rig are still profitable, but only if you have an access to cheap electricity, Mining takes a lot of electricity.

Yes, mining is still profitable. Cloud mining (as you've mentioned contracts) - I'm not so sure, probably not. Cloud mining discussions are banned in many sections of this forum for a reason.
Not banned per se, it's just that Cloud Mining lures a lot of newcomers to Cryptocurrency that we don't want them to get scammed in later days.
Discussion are not banned or prohibited (There are no forum rules exist for Cloud Mining), but advertising or promoting Cloud Mining are usually frowned by the community and can land you a -trust from DT Members.
90  Economy / Services / Re: How much roughly would it cost to have a coin made? on: April 21, 2018, 06:43:31 PM
So basically like a cookie clicker game, but instead of gaining virtual cookies you get cryptocurrency?
Not sure if its possible to integrate 'Proof of Click' with Blockchain, but you can give it a shot if you want to Smiley
Since you are in college, can you ask your friends/professor for reference on building cryptocurrency?
Otherwise, you can try to ask the people at Project Development.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=12.0

Always be careful with Newbies promising a great work, they usually doesn't have any portfolio.

it will cost you $10,000. if you are interested this is my whatsapp number +2347037575399.
I doubt anyone wants to pay that kind of money to Newbie accounts spamming across the forum.
Besides, there's no way a college student has that kind of budget.
91  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 16-Apr-2018] on: April 21, 2018, 06:37:21 PM
(will update the table today)
Take your time Smiley

It has been about one week or a bit more that no new signature campaigns are available. The only two ongoing and still active seems 777coin and Bitvest.
Maybe the reason is the signature campaigns are not that effective compared to the cost they have on the company running them ?
I notice that sometimes new Signature Campaigns appears in batches.
Usually there will be 2-3 new Sig Campaigns open at once, maybe wait for that Smiley

Not at all. There are probably more campaigns now than there have ever been so the advertising is very effective. It is just a supply and demand issue. When slots become available there are a large number of applicants due to the influx of people that only came here because they think they can make easy money. The only reason 777coin and Bitvest always have open slots is the campaign manager has high standards and most of the applications are rejected.
The other reason why 777 and Bitvest are still open due to cost, they are one of the lowest paying campaign.
With supressed cost they can hire more members easily, especially online casino as they make big profit from their games already.
92  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: SO DISAPOINTED ABOUT HUOBI EXCHANGE on: April 20, 2018, 05:32:56 PM
yes,it is my fault,i accept,i don't care when i send token, but i want say: the way they support, they are big exchange, everyone use them exchange,i want every exchange want good service to compete with other exchange,i think they want this fee 2eth,it is very hight,i can't beleive,i think if they wang fee: 0.05-0.1 eth,it is very good, but....
Huobi is a huge exchange, they have hundreds of altcoins and tokens wallet running at the same time.
Imagine having to find a specific address from a specific token just to find your coins and then having to import it to another wallet just to claim your lost coins.
It takes a lot of time just to do that and you're in luck because they wanted to recover it for you for a fee, other exchange will simply refuse to recover it Roll Eyes
Take it as a $20 lesson, always double check before sending coins, especially tokens as they are easily get mixed up with each other.
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Technology involvements in Top companies on: April 20, 2018, 05:16:36 PM
Samsung not only integrate the blockchain infrastructure for security management bro. They have announce that they gonna launch the new mining equipment for mining bitcoin and alts like ASIC hardware.
Ingrating blockchain security system will give more security to data and you will find the no more hacking attempt on the firewall you created for your  business.
Next to that acceptance of bitcoin as payment also done by some firms. Dell and Microsoft gave option to purchase their product with the bitcoin.
Competition is always good, Bitmain has monopolize mining rig for years now, hopefully with a decent competition from Samsung, they cna drive mining rig to be be more efficient and cheap.
With cheap mining rig I hope miners can divert their eyes from GPU cards Roll Eyes
Damn thing has been expensive for months now.

Also, What's the correlation between Blockchain and "hacking attempt" on your firewall?
I fail to see any correlation between those two.
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Storing 5 years in a wallet? on: April 18, 2018, 08:11:50 AM
The Lightning Network is NOT a soft fork; it's a layer on the bitcoin blockchain.
In fact the bitcoin blockchain has no concept of the Lightning Network at all.
My bad, I always thought LN as a soft fork for Bitcoin.
The more I know, I guess Tongue

Ladies and gentlemen, I have already written a subject for the purpose of restoring the porflain after deleting all the data from the telephone.  This is why I will ask you here

In order to extract bitcoin, I first have to dump all the physical memory from my phone and then run applications to recover lost data on it? ( it was years ago and app from google store - bitcoin wallet / galaxy-s4)
If so, which application will be safe? or maybe i should do it manually according to a guidebook?
Recovering an old data are not an easy feat, if you don't know what you're doing it'd be best to give it to professional.
Lost/Deleted data are not technically deleted yet by your phone, rather your data are marked to be replaced by a new data.
How many do you lost inside that wallet? if it's a lot you might want to consider to bring your phone to data recovery service, they have the tools and expertise to deal with your issue.

DriverSavers are one of the top company for recovering data, they managed to salvage data from HardDrive that sank on the river Tongue

95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will increase Bitcoin adoption the most? on: April 18, 2018, 07:58:43 AM
It's really difficult to tell what will boost Bitcoin adoption. I think that if large companies adapt Bitcoin and it's Lightning Network then definitely people will start to use it. Using Bitcoin is quite easy especially if you use web or mobile wallets. They are not secure but they are perfect for small transactions.
Microsoft and Newegg accepted Bitcoin, yet I don't see any significant boost in bitcoin users.
In fact, when a company started to accept Bitcoin as their method of Payment, most of the users who bought using Bitcoin are already Bitcoin Users and not someone whose completely new in Bitcoin.
Bitcoin Payment became sort of a niche that only used by the one who uses it, "Why would I use Bitcoin when I can pay using my card/Paypal." says the buyer who found out that their favourite website accepting Bitcoin.

If a government allows Bitcoin and legalize it as a secondary currency like Japan did. The number of a new business idea will sparks and this allows for Bitcoin Mass Adoption.
Not only it is allowed, but it is encouraged by the government, that's why Japan are one of the biggest Bitcoin Users.
Maybe OP can add "Government Legalization" as an option, because I believe it is the only way to achieve mass adoption Smiley
96  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 16-Apr-2018] on: April 18, 2018, 07:45:09 AM
There's a new campaign although the OP stated it is Private
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3338629.0
not sure if this needs to be added to the table or not, since technically it is still a signature campaign.

This is a very interesting thread, worth bookmarking. However, the options listed are not so interesting. And MatrixCoin is listed as available but it is already not accepting new members.
Why don't you create your own 'interesting' signature campaign, maybe that will make you happy Smiley
97  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: croosade.com - a 2D MMORPG server on: April 18, 2018, 07:16:57 AM
Might want to consider to format your post properly.
Right now, it's just a jumbled mess of a text, I can't even read it until the end.
Add some images and explanation that is actually easy to understand, it might attract more attention that way.

Also what has this game to do with cryptocurrency?
From what I've seen this is just regular MMORPG without any cryptocurrency related content.
98  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Just started a new project, let me know what you guys think! on: April 18, 2018, 06:56:50 AM
So it is essentialy a paper wallet but printed on a metal card instead?
I dig this idea, I'm a fan of anything related to cards and your card could be added to my collection Tongue
From your wording, it seems that the balance of the card can only be accessed from your website, does this mean you will also launch an online wallet as a way to access the coins?
Also, as Vod says, gotta think a way to secure the private key, maybe by using Chip to encrypt to Private Key ?
This Chip method has been widely used and as a standard security for cards nowadays.
99  Economy / Exchanges / Re: New Phishing Scams on MEW and Coinbase..Be Safe!!! on: April 18, 2018, 06:32:19 AM
Phishing attempts are not hard to avoid but the question is how they got your email? I believe that some exchanges have their databases leaked or even sold because these attacks seem to target crypto users only.
Well, there's https://haveibeenpwned.com to check whether our emails are leaking through the internet or not.
Another thing to keep in mind is that mailing list, it isn't a new story that people who manages the mailing list sold their customer's information to another company, thus creating a spams.
Maybe OP subscribed to crypto related mailing list or something related to that.

I never received Phishing Email luckily, but I've received logins notifications from exchanges, the most prominent one comes from Bitmain.
At least once a month I would receive a notification from Bitmain that someone from Russia is trying to access my account, although since I have 2FA on my account, the hacker will need to confirm my login via Email.
My email secured with 2FA linked to my phone so I don't even bother Tongue

Holy smokes, what a bump!
Anyway, since it happened a long time ago don't you think that he has already covered his tracks and disappear?
I saw his ID went online briefly on Sept 5th 2017, but that's it.
Can't you track his home address? I thought every letter sent has sender address in it along with receiver address.

You also might want to create a new topic on either Scam Accusation or Investigation, people would be all over your request with a 50% rewards, granted that we can find the guy  Embarrassed
