261  Other / Meta / Re: Copper membership wallet address suddenly has changed on: February 21, 2018, 09:54:11 AM
It shouldn't be a problem as the old address were still associated with your account, and once it receives your coins with one confirmation, you will need to fill out form that appears here
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote

If the form doesn't appear even after one confirmation you might want to contact Theymos or Cyrus Smiley
262  Economy / Exchanges / Re: A working cryto debit card? on: February 20, 2018, 08:41:15 PM
Is ePayments new company? first time heard of it, can anybody review their cards and how it compared to WageCan?
According to Whois, the domain has been exchanged to a new owner around 2015, they are at least 3 years old.
Wagecan are expensive, only buy their card if you're really desperate for Bitcoin Debit Card.
As far as I know epayments are legit, but they require immediate verification upon registering, which I refuse to do.

SatoshiTango is issued by WaveCrest, so its down for the moment!
Right now you as far as i know you have:
ePayments - Issued by themselves (Load via BTC,ETH,LTC,BTG,BCC) *the money is automatically converted into fiat, cant have wallet in crypto, great app for mobile, and low-fees
uPayCard - Issued by PSI-Pay ltd (Load via BTC or ETH) *allows you to have the money in their e-wallet with crypto, but delays on balance update and mid-fees
Mistertango - Issued by Wirecard (Load via BTC only) *the money is automatically converted into fiat if you use their BTC adress, optionally you can use their own exchange and convert into fiat when you desire, good app for mobile, fees too high for low volume top-up of the card!
I have all the 3 and right now im using more the epayments because of the low-fees on small top-ups of the card!
if you need anything, just ask!
Does Upaycard and MisterTango requires verification in order for me to use their service?
I'm in need for anonymous bitcoin debit card
263  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Help me please, Armory wasn't configured first time I sent me bitcoins ... on: February 20, 2018, 05:26:52 PM
According to Blockchain, you have sent 0.005 Bitcoin to 1Hb74jFwLzXjpa98m2KEgwwbF4NEyZwmV2
If that's your address, your coin should appear on your Armory wallet.
I don't use armory, but on the bottom right there should be an indicator whether you are connected to the nodes or not like this image for example :

If you still have problem with it, I might suggest ask the sub-forum, I've posted the link on my previous reply.

Edit: Didn't realized that this topic was already moved to Armory, whoops
264  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Help me please, Armory wasn't configured first time I sent me bitcoins ... on: February 20, 2018, 07:39:40 AM
First, are you sure that your Armory wallet are synchronized correctly and loaded up to the latest block?
Next, check and make sure that you've sent your coins to the right address, which in this case is your armory address.
Last, are your transaction are already confirmed by the miner and already included in the block ?
one of the first mistakes newbies make are not realizing that transactions need to be included in a block first before it appears on your wallet.

If everything else fails, try to head to Armory sub-forum, there are a bunch of guys ready to help you out with your problem

265  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 15-Feb-2018] on: February 20, 2018, 07:33:23 AM
Updated the tables again based on reports made here
https://paste.ee/p/Wjdhs <<<

As usual, Fatanut or Mitchell will have to review this first Smiley

I'm not sure if this report is necessary or needed. Onehash has ended and paid its participants but he said they will comeback on Monday with new rules.
The campaign were never been added to the table to begin with, so no changes necessary Roll Eyes
If they decided to start a new campaign I will add them to the table asap Smiley

Edit:
Onehash added

Sorry for not posting yesterday. Rules and signature are the same!

Looking for 15 participants! Campaign will be active after receiving confirmation by private message.
266  Economy / Reputation / Re: Poor Translation/Automated Translation (Portuguese) - V on: February 20, 2018, 12:58:19 AM
My God, you like to call attention, I did some translations and in the only one I did in a hurry
You shouldn't take the job if you're in a hurry then, this is a proof that you didn't take your job responsibilities seriously.

and I hope I do not have my account suspended
Nope, but enjoy -neg from Lauda (and me).

I was accused as if I had done something like...
I apologize for calling so much attention and thanks for the alert
The fact that you used google translate indicates that you are not trustworthy, so that -neg are justified enough.
267  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Other blockchain Forums? on: February 19, 2018, 11:18:42 PM
Thanks to all for the lists.

Actually, I am looking for other forums because my experience in this forum has been a bit disappointing. In other words, when I try to ask technical or economical questions about any blockchain topic, I see little to no intersest. 99% of posts are about how and when bitcoin will moon or ICO promotion. It has not much interest for me. I wish the community was a bit less venal, the market is venal enough.

Cheers
Sorry to hear that, this forum has many spammers so if your topic are too complicated for spammers they just ignored it  Undecided
I've seen many topics that are actually great point of discussions but it doesn't have many views/replies, while topic that is pretty dumb gets hundred pages of replies
too bad that altcoins does not have technical discussion sub-forums, so your topic landed on general discussions.

There are many cryptocurrency forum, but with fewer communities than ours here, but on a plus side there are little to no spammers there.
268  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Move Coinbase balances to a private key on: February 19, 2018, 09:30:07 PM
Thank you very much, MintDice. I'm going to try the cold storage in a paper, because as you said, is the safest method. Thanks!
Make sure to keep the paper safe, you can try to laminate it or put it inside a lockbox.
Other ways to prevent it is by making a few copies of your Paper Wallet and keep it in a different places.
Do your research and understand how Paper Wallet works and see whether it fits your requirements as paper wallets are usually used for long term storage
If you're spending your coins regulary, it'd be better to get desktop based wallet.

269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Importing wallet.dat on: February 19, 2018, 12:33:48 AM
I tried to run "strings wallet.dat" and I found there a string "name"EKZfyZF3SohMjXXXXXXXXXXXXsbAcqEM7" which looked like an address. So I googled it and it appears to be Espers address. Then I installed Espers wallet and imported this wallet.dat. But it still shows the same error "salvage failed"

It is Espers. What you have there might be Version 1, it won't work with V2.  Download ESP1 Client for Windows, I don't know exact link. If you want ESP2, you need to swap it through Novaexchange.

If it's a hassle, you can try to sell it at Yobit. I think they still use ver 1.  Grin
Do not use Yobit or Bittrex, they are one of the worst exchange right now, your account might get locked up instantly after deposit.
For now, better to find and download Espers wallet v1 as Canny says and make sure it is not a fake malware wallet, if you can't find it try to contact the devs and explain your story, they might have it on their archive.
https://espers.io/

after successfully accessing the coin you can find exchanges here

270  Other / Meta / Re: No option to give and recieve merit on: February 19, 2018, 12:22:51 AM
In order to give merit you will need Smerit first, to get Smerit you will have to receive merits
After that the option to give merits will be available on right side of everyone's posts.

Seeing your post history you most likely won't receive any merits or rarely though.
Merits are given for high quality or helpful posts, and your post history does not have that.
271  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Visa locks down prepaid cryptocurrency cards, Need Solution on: February 18, 2018, 11:20:51 PM
Here is a list of Mastercard bitcoin debit cards:

http://www.bestbitcoincard.com/mastercard/

As always do your own research. Search google for scams and problems with these cards before you sign up, and make sure you read up on all the fees in advance.
That article lists 5 debit card providers, 3 of them are pretty much dead to use outside EU  Embarrassed
Advcash, Spectrocoin card are actually from wavecrest and blocked already by Wavecrest.
Bitnation says they are using Wirex for their card, which also part of Wavecrest.

The rest of the list, Rax and Bitplastic are fishy enough for me to not try them Tongue

Is anyone using Skrill? I see that we can load our account with Bitcoin, but I am interested to know if you can then use the Mastercard. Because Neteller has a bitcoin option, but you can't use their card to send the bitcoin loaded...
Skrill money that is Funded through Bitcoin can only be sent to another Skrill users, it is not usable for ATM or online transactions.
Pretty much the same as Neteller or OKpay, honestly it'd be best to just wait for Bitcoin Debit Provider to find an alternative or new partners instead finding an alternatives like this.
Wirex and Spectrocoin already find a new partner for their Bitcoin Debit card, it shouldn't be long for them to launch their new service.
272  Other / Meta / Re: Why not just adding 1 phone number per account ? or 1 IP per account + Verfify on: February 18, 2018, 11:08:27 PM
Not only phone number.
Theymos should enforce KYC and create new board where we will publicly reveal our personal information and ID's with pictures.
Picture of credit cards too. Both side.
Signed message from all wallets with funds and private keys and maybe picture of your family and friends too.

This is bloody forum would you please stop spamming it with useless merit threads and ideas just because no one has sent you merit?

Even if all these information is implemented, all this can be faked. I do not think any other forum receives so much spam registrations. Only issue here is that a lot of money is involved even with discussions.
Looks like the joke went over your head pretty high

This forum with banner ads for a week GET almost 2 BTC a WEEK (100k usd a month) .  Cant even Hire more STAFF ? i think it more than 2 BTC a week . because he a lot thing to do with his monetize technique
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2785868.msg29329465#msg29329465
Im not focus talking about his money . im concern about his SOLUTION .

SCARED with spammer ? and have no smart Solution to solve this ?

He punish for  SPAMMER False to normal member ?

He want avoiding spammer he should KYC check . so all of those Account need Verification ID . FACE . AND Name in Paper for FORUM with text his username and register date .

This system only avoiding new comer crypto from price $8k+

Spammer will never gone he already got a lot his account .
Better adding KYC Checks for every account .
Those funds probably went to building the new forum and current forum maintenance, maintaining Bitcointalk is not an easy nor cheap task to do.
Theymos Will Never put KYC in here, first he have to build a server to store all of those KYC data and to secure it from hackers, that itself is a hard task (as if the forum hack in 2015 wasn't enough).
Second, this forum were built by Satoshi originally, he has a big concern regarding privacy, and I'm sure Theymos too.

Every forums has spammers, there are no forum that is free from it.
But, even we can help against spammers without KYC bullcrap, if you see a spam or posts that are against the forum rules, simply report them and the mods will sort it out quickly.
273  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Does this site pay?(Coinurl) on: February 18, 2018, 02:42:27 PM
Coinurl used to be legit, but around 2016/2017 the owner lost interest and likely turned to scam website.
I never used them as I don't have website to advertise, but there are few complaints on this forum.

This is the owner of Coinurl, it's still active you might want to try to PM him

274  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Superstore: Buy From Any Online Retailer--Amazon Prime Included on: February 18, 2018, 12:27:47 PM
Do you also forward the item to customer or do you just order the item with your customer's address?
I wanted to buy a book in Amazon but the item does not eligible for shipping to my country, if you could forward it to me it would be great
Also, do you accept escrow from Bitcointalk?
275  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I need some help , i'm new on: February 18, 2018, 08:47:05 AM
I think you earn BTC from BTC minerpro is really impossible. Btc that you earn from it just equal electrical power that you give out to run it. The rest of BTC that you really have after subtract electrical cost is very little. If for fun purposes, it's ok, so if for really investment, I think you should choose other ways
Minerpro is a ponzi, they don't mine anything for you.
If OP need that amount daily, it'd be best to use faucet anyway, with enough clicking he might be able to get 0.0001/day.
Honestly, I don't know any other way to get btc without any some sort of investment
276  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC transferred to YoBit BCC address by mistake on: February 18, 2018, 07:51:49 AM
Thank you all for your suggestions and answers. I finally got a YoBit Admin to chat to (Telegram YoBit chat channel) and they have told they will look into this issue and resolve it in couple of days.

Fingers crossed !!! Waiting for them to resolve it.  Smiley
If your issue are still not resolved in a couple of days, you can try to create a scam accusation and post that link to admin, that should scare him Tongue

While waiting for admin to refund your coins, you might want to search for another exchange, because surely you don't want to trade with Yobit again with their slow support and numerous problems Roll Eyes
277  Other / Meta / Re: Secure your account before you regret. on: February 17, 2018, 08:00:43 AM
I like to type out a random set of numbers and letters and save them to a notepad. It's the best defense against brute force attacks. The bitcointalk hack that happened in 2015 wouldn't have been a problem for anyone if their passwords were good because all the passwords needed to be bruteforced.
The 2015 attack happened because the attacker managed to gain root access and steal the password hash.
Even if they use a strong password, that hash can still be bruteforced by the attacker, my original ID were one of its victim (although it is no longer active anymore)
honestly, it is still a problem whether you use strong password or not, when a site gets hacked you must change your password.

Another tips, you might want to get password manager like Keepass, saving your password on a notepad is bad idea.

How to secure spectre and meltown attack?
I thought those were Hardware based exploit ?
Microsoft already released a patch against those exploit, so it shouldn't be working as long as you have your windows updated.
278  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merit Ponzi on: February 17, 2018, 07:54:14 AM
This is only the beggining. A large number of users do not even know that there is such a thing like Merit, and even more do not know how to use it. With time, people will get used to giving out merit points and their collection will be easier.
Either that or many people will ran off from Bitcointalk to another forum, which is good because potentially it will reduce spams Roll Eyes

I am from a distance when the system merit now, I am confused how I can earn merit points while I do not know what to do. Please help sir.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0

Merits are "rare" because merits are only given to bitcointalk members who make quality constructive posts/replies, which are quite rare for the lower ranks hence you see most of them complaining on multiple threads(just like this one).
Those newbies complaining are most likely an alt, they're now sad that they can't farm multiple accounts anymore, at least not so easy anymore.
Then again, I've seen newbies with high enough merits to be able to rank up to Member or Full Member
279  Economy / Reputation / Re: Multiple Signature, Trying to cheat a Signature Campaign on: February 16, 2018, 03:41:28 PM
He's not trying to cheat the campaign, rather he's jumping between campaign with two days gap between your campaign and the other one, although I did not like this kind of behaviour too.
This kind of behaviour will only waste the manager's time and should be punished, but I don't know whether this behaviour deservers -neg or not.

Maybe campaign managers need to enforce Yahoo's ettiquette Roll Eyes
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1692740.0

For the future, make sure to check your potential participant's post carefully and make sure not to enroll those who keep jumping between campaign
280  Other / Meta / Re: A friend of mine can't register on: February 16, 2018, 11:27:04 AM
I never said having multiple account are not allowed (unless used to farm campaigns)
I was trying to say that no matter how many accounts he registered, it won't be able to post anyway since his IP got Blacklisted, maybe I should put a better effort on my wording next time Tongue

It's also depends on his ISP, some use dynamic IP, which if the modem are restarted it will automatically grab a new IP.
