421  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: NEW FORK on: December 13, 2017, 04:27:59 AM
-snip
There could be more than these ones but almost all of them are offering nothing different than bitcoin so they are just worthless for me..

These names and their visions are a joke  Cheesy
First we had Bitcoin Gold, next there are Silver Platinum and Platinum, what's next Tongue

At least some of those coins are claimable and we can turn it over to BTC in a mere seconds, nothing's wrong with free coins Smiley
422  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: NEW FORK on: December 12, 2017, 09:14:06 AM
There have been at least 3 forks this year, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold, and Bitcoin Diamond (Scam).
When dealing with new forks always be careful with what you download, in Bitcoin Diamond case, people says their wallet contains malware that will steal your private key.
Before sweeping your private key to claim your free coins, always remember to send your bitcoins into a new fresh wallet, this will ensure no malware will attempt to steal your private key Smiley
Alternatively, you can use Sandbox to contain the fork wallet.

When will the fork happen anyway?

426  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Not all campaigns earn profit? What factors determine successful campaigns on: December 10, 2017, 03:16:20 PM
Signature Campaigns can be classified as advertisement/promotion.
We all know that in advertisement, the people who wants to advertise will lose money, a lot.
a 30-seconds ads in superbowl can cost you $4 Mil, although what determines whether the advertisement (In this case, signature campaigns) are successfull or not are the number that got pulled in by the advertisement.
In advertisement you are looking for a new customers who wants to use your service/ buy your products.
427  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 09-Dec-2017] on: December 10, 2017, 05:33:07 AM
A new campaign has been launched called Shipchain
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2556661.0

Quote
Member – 0.001 BTC + 105 ShipChain tokens per week
Full Member – 0.0015 BTC + 240 ShipChain tokens per week
Sr. Member – 0.002 BTC + 420 ShipChain tokens per week
Hero/Legendary – 0.003 BTC + 500 ShipChain tokens per week

428  Economy / Speculation / Re: YOU ARE ALL STUPID - SELL NOW on: December 10, 2017, 03:15:32 AM
We need Bitcoin analys starter pack for the sake of the meme

The price of BTC increases by almost $14k in a month and you panicked just because it dropped down by $2k in a few days?
Bitcoin is volatile currency, don't buy it if you can't stand the volatility Tongue

The only problem BTC has currently is a high TX Fee, but it can be easily fixed by Lighting Network (Coming Soontm)
429  Other / Meta / Re: How about having a BitcoinTalk Coin Project? on: December 09, 2017, 09:58:46 AM
Basically, a new altcoins or token that represents Bitcointalk where the user who holds the greatest amount of coin can advertise for free?
Theymos doesn't have any reasons to launch that said coin, the current state of Bitcointalk's advertisement are still usable. People bid for a spot in the forum as a banner.
Besides, creating and launching an altcoins are not gonna be cheap, and it is not guaranteed that everyone will like the new system.

Just keep it simple as it is Smiley

432  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The Abysss Signature Campaign manager scamming members. on: December 08, 2017, 06:47:54 PM
lol, team wanted to modify signature little bit, designer were working. I wish, I am in default trust, so I can red tag you to making multiple account to posting this. Why did not you posted with your main account.

OP is the type of people who sees the forum as his personal cash cow, a little problem with a signature campaign and he has to create a separate topic and accusing without proofs Roll Eyes
I hope you will ban him from your campaign if you found his main account, just try to find user with similar word and grammar structure Smiley
433  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What happened with NiceHash? on: December 08, 2017, 05:12:17 PM
What will happen with our unpaid funds?
Who knows, there hasn't been any word from NiceHash regarding their user's coins.
I believe a website as big as NiceHash will have a reserve fund stored in cold storage, they might be able to pay their users with that reserve.
But, according to reddit Nicehash's wallet are insured, the question is whether the claim will be successful and how long the fund will be paid to NiceHash.

Either way, you should prepare yourself for the worst outcome possible (No reserve fund, insurance denied) you will need it in this tough time.
434  Other / Meta / Re: my 2011 bitcointalk Hero account hacked on: December 08, 2017, 04:11:58 PM
same situation,

i suppose you are use your birthday date for password, there are a lot of hacked account with this method.

Pindol

No I did not use my birthday as my password, I used quite complex password , the database must be leaked to get my password.
Did you change your password after 2012 Bitcointalk Database breach?
If not, we know how they figured out your password and its being sold at Darknet Marketplace.

Try to send Theymos or Cyrus PM every few months, Chances are your PM got skipped by them accidentally.
I just recovered my accounts too, it took me around 4 months for Cyrus to reply to my PM Smiley
435  Other / Meta / Re: My original account was hacked on: December 08, 2017, 08:53:35 AM
Thanks all. I sent Cyrus a message. We will see if I get my account back. Doubt it though. I dont think I ever posted a BTC address.
Unfortunately the chance of you getting back your account is low, in order to be able to get your account back you will need to have signed message from bitcoin address that you used on the forum.
Without it there are no proofs that the account actually belongs to you.

How come you never posted a single address on the account anyway?

439  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: PLEASE HELP!!!! Where can I sell 104 Bitcoins FAST Face to FACE In CASH on: December 06, 2017, 03:08:58 PM
I need to sell 104 bitcoins ASAP PLEASE HELP I have 104 bitcoins for sale
But I WANT FACE TO FACE CASH ...I RECIEVE THEM 5 years ago
Please Point me in the right direction
Either go to currency exchange section on this forum or go to Localbitcoins.
I doubt it that any seller will have $1 mil in cash or inside their bank accounts, you will have to split those coins in different parts and sell them to different sellers.

How did you managed to get those coins anyway, long time holder?

So how can we recover all our money?
You can't, bitcoin transactions are irreversible, you can only get your coin back if the owner decided to refund the coins back to his customer.

The FBI should come into this matter.
FBI will need to investigate the case first before they can make a move and seize the server or arrest the owner, this will take time.

How can one guy go away with millions of USD$ if not Billions and let him go free.
Because the users decided to store bunch of coins inside  an exchange, this happened on multiple exchanges and always will until people learned their lesson Roll Eyes
