We just found your site last week and we want to encourage you that the concept is solid and the need for this service in the Bitcoin community is obvious. Fantastic!

1043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: October 18, 2012, 09:56:09 PM
Has anyone found that running multiple 5970 cards is more advantageous on one versus the other (cgminer vs reaper)?   I have 3 that I'm trying to run on cgminer now and getting some SICK gpus when I use them together.  Might try them on reaper and see if the same thing happens.

my settings are: cgminer --scrypt -o server:port -u -p --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 -g 1 -I 18 -w 256

1045  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 90 minutes for 1 block... on: October 18, 2012, 02:01:28 AM
Litecoin is already too fast most likely.

This isn't logical. If too fast is bad then Ricky Bobby was wrong.
If you ain't first you're last.
1046  Economy / Securities / Re: Where is everyone going to invest in LTC GPU mining bonds now? Options? on: October 17, 2012, 11:23:11 PM
Now that LTC is blowing up and the difficulty is growing like crazy(and if history is a good indicator, the price as well), I'd like to know where people are putting their money. And what the alternatives are in our post-GLBSE world in terms of exchanges.

Also, since it looks like all the GPU farms are going to be slowly switching over to LTC mining to continue profitability, if any one can make some recommendations of productive ex-BTC miners moving over to LTC who offer shares/bonds that would be great.

Thanks

one option for investing: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=101694.0

I've heard this before, but I was under the impression you could only cpu mine litecoin. Judging by the network speed, it looks like no one is gpu mining..

Actually the network is flush with GPU miners.  That's why the network speed is so high.  You have to remember scrypt mining is measured in KH/s not MH/s.
1047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Alongside Bitcoin on: October 17, 2012, 10:42:25 PM
Can I mine Bitcoins with a FPGA and Litecoins with my GPUs all on the same rig?
1048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Charts on: October 17, 2012, 07:31:17 PM
ok. thank you. does somebody know who was running marketscry? maybe i can get a data dump from him so i can integrate the missing data into my database.

It was the SolidCoin guys.  Not sure who.
1049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Charts on: October 17, 2012, 12:04:22 PM

@LiteBit what was better at marketscry charts?

Ltc-charts is great! Marketscry just had the full history of LTC from the beginning.
1050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Charts on: October 17, 2012, 10:27:50 AM
I really miss marketscry charts. Those SC guys got that one right at least.

It would be great to get a Litecoin Dev project going on converting Sierra Charts to a real time trading chart like Slush has done for bitcoin. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=6019.0
1051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [TUTORIAL] Solo Mining Litecoins Guide--Windows! on: October 17, 2012, 03:38:16 AM
One thing that is helping me out is setting up a --failover-only with a second pool, a real pool that has long polling. That way cgminer gets the LP notification, and your litecoin daemon will benefit and switch to the new block faster than if you didn't have a second pool.

Thanks for the heads up on the --failover-only !

I can vouch for Koolio.  You may want to move this to the Computer hardware section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=75.0

It already did earlier today. IF you were watching litecoinpool.org. It already happened.

 Cheesy

You won before you posted the bet.

Are you sure? This is not visible on the chart they have.
962,698 is not 1000,

Indeed EskimoBob.  Per the bet statement that chart on litecoinpool needs to show some indication that we actually did pass 1 GH/s.  2 folks said they saw it happened (i'm sure more have) but we need a chart to confirm it.  is there another network hash chart that shows some historical data?

If not, get in on the bet!!

I see!  It happened while waiting for Bets of Bitcoin to approve this statement... Doh!

1059  Economy / Marketplace / [Just Arrived] FREE 840Mh/s ModMiner Quad FPGA Miner on: October 11, 2012, 05:41:40 PM
We are the proud recipients of the 1st of 4 FREE 840Mhs MMQ in BTCFPGA's fabulous signature promotion over here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=114454.0

We found out we won on Tuesday and they had this badboy in the mail and Express Overnighted to us the very next day!

I always thought the modular design of these units was very cool and it looks even better in person.  Here are pictures of the unit we took last night.

It was my wife's idea to tie the fan power lines like bows!  Cleans it up a bit.

I'll be getting this mining by the weekend... as time permits
Then I'm hoping to run it off my RPi that has been sitting around since the first release

The second week is locked in for their signature promotion but there are 2 more weeks after that to enter to win a FREE 840Mhs ModMiner Quad Miner!
Thanks again guys!  Great Promotion!
