781  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] AMC-The Official Active Mining Cooperative Discussion on: June 22, 2013, 03:37:21 AM
Why does 24 hour low on BitFunder always show a lower price than what has actually been hit? Has this been discussed on here yet? For example: today the low was .00055 but that wasn't hit. Are these private trades?
782  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KNC Miner - Jupiter device: which PSU are you guys planning on using? on: June 19, 2013, 03:51:01 AM
I've been using these on my rigs the past couple years.  They are the best 1000 imho.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817703028

They say 950 but come about 1080 out of the box.  Quiet, Single Rail.

I'm not sure if I'm going to move them over to the Jupiters, but am thinking about it.  Will need to grab a couple more  Wink

Does she have a sister?

Ha! Negative bro

Waking up and reading about KnC's decision to sponsor the new living on bitcoin documentary really made my day.  Not only is this a brilliant PR move for KnC, but for the wider bitcoin ecosystem in general.  If the documentary gains traction, this will be huge.

Hey KnC... tell us who's idea this was so I can buy them a couple of beers.

I agree. Brilliant!

785  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Groupbuy] Jupiter KNCMiner (0.5 BTC shares) 12 sold! [CLOSED] !!! on: June 19, 2013, 03:28:58 AM
do I realy need get verified on weexchange? now my status is Account Type: Personal   |   Status: Unverified

I had verified the email ,but not street address, and I do not want to upload my identification . So in this status ,can I use the weexchange to got my dividend?

I believe you can still withdraw from weexchange without a verified account.  read their faqs. i think they say that.

I'd like to suggest opening a new thread related to this IPO of ADDICTION in the Securities thread.  That will give it marketability, exposure and get us away from this group buy.

And you can answer this question in that thread too:
Any thought on opening price?

In group buy .5 BTC got you 2.823 GB hashing power.  So 1 BTC got you 5.646 GB hashing power.
If we IPO and Bitcoin is @ $100 for example and 1 BTC gets you 200 shares in ADDICTION then each share IPO is $.50. I'm assuming you're tying the share price to BTC value vs. fiat value.  So each share is 0.005 BTC which equals 28.23 MH/s hashing power as explained in IPO summary.  I apologize if any of this is redundant.

Again, please open an [ANN][Bitfunder][IPO]ADDICTION thread in Securities since we are now in a new phase of this mining collective.

Cheers,
LiteBit

Sounds great guys.  Well thought out.  Having Ukyo part of the implementation of the IPO was a great idea.  Looks smooth and concise.

Will we need to give you our Bitfunder IDs for proper transfer of shares once the IPO goes live?  Please clarify how shareholders will receive funds.  Some of us already own assets on Bitfunder, others will need to open an account.

Cheers.

I think the clarification you gave is great.  Especially the matter of capital invested.  I think this could roll well into an IPO.  The deal with the 2 year life cycle I don't agree with but that still doesn't mean it might be the best choice.  Especially if you look at it as business expenses and stocks in company.  Equipment needs updated and investors supply capital once things get rolling.  So more machines coming online down the road is good for all.

Cheers,

791  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Groupbuy] Jupiter KNCMiner (0.5 BTC shares) 8 sold! 9th miner: 9 shares left on: June 09, 2013, 12:06:13 PM
How you are gonna pay for that ?
btc dropped 25%

u will get few k usd from your pocket ?
LOL, yeah we won't front 150k.. :p Luckily..

Actually I'm waiting for Blasbob to come online. So far we paid 10BTC ahead already on the previous miners. this miner alone will cost us another 13btc extra to pay upfront and you can imagine we didn't calculate a 20%+ price drop. We've sold all the shares of miner 9 now. We want to try to sell miner 10 as well, but we'll have to consider our options. The other group buys have had to either raise prices on shares or had a big margin to start with (we have no margin on the buy at all). We are reluctant to do that because it will make an IPO on BTC-e harder to do. As soon as I've spoken to Blastbob we'll come with a definitive solution.

Cheers!

BTW, miner 9 is now Sold! You can buy shares on miner 10 but we might have to change something with the share price or something else. We'll get back on that.

I'd recommend NOT changing share price if you want to IPO.  I haven't bought any shares, just an outsider interested in how these group buys are going.  Up to this point I believe your offering is better than the other because the Terms haven't changed from what I've read.  You 2 are going to have to eat the BTC drop if you plan to make this a successful IPO or business in the future.

To the group, one thing that stands out that I don't like from what I've read is the fact that these shares are conditional shares.  I hope all of you realize you'll only have 2 years of mining revenue.  Then the 2 owners get to keep the machines and earn 100% profit from then on.  Read the Terms again and make sure this is what you want to do.

I also am cautious about the amount of money the 2 owners have put into the group buy.  I can't tell as easily as the other Jupiter group buy in the forum.  If the owners are actually just acting as a pass-through to Jupiters (meaning they have a low order number but aren't paying their money, YOU are paying money) then make sure those are the terms you are good with.  Remember any number of things can happen with this, but they still get to collect a maintainence fee no matter what.

Also, what about power supplies?  The amount the Jupiters were bought show that PSU wasn't included.  Who is going to pick up that tab?  The group or the owner?  The Terms need to be defined better with this.  That's an extra $200-$300 per Jupiter that someone needs to get in order to make anything.

And finally, how do the shares work as units come online?  Are the first buyers or private buyers in a line and get paid as "their" unit goes online?  Or is this a group buy and all shares are part of the whole buy?  Do you own a % of a mining collective (if this IPOs or not) or do you just own a share(s) of 1 Jupiter unit?  And when that goes online do you then get paid?  What if that unit is DOA or stops?  Do others get paid as you don't?

Anyways, like I said, up to this time I think the 2 owners have covered most stuff well.  Just make sure you're informed and understand the Terms.  Again, as an outsider, my biggest beef with this is that the owners may not be putting any money in... the still get a nice fee no matter what...  and after 2 years they own the equipment and 100% profit and these shares (IPO or not) become worthless.
792  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy]12 KNCminer Jupiter's [Live][Updated] 8 Sold on: June 09, 2013, 11:46:06 AM
I'm not part of this buy but have been watching from the outside.
A couple things the investors need to get clarity on.

1. Is Soniq just a pass-through in essence to get at one or multiple Jupiter orders?  From what I can see he has put no money into it (only the pre-order spot) and at the least gains a maintanence fee because 8 miners have been bought by the group so far.
2. The above is confirmed by the fact that as BTC dropped in value the OP changed (thus his original terms) from 2BTC per 1/360 share to 2.25BTC per 1/360 share.  Destined to go up again with the BTC drop overnight.  This, to me as an outsider, confirms he has no BTC in this group buy.  The group is picking up the extra costs.  Again he just collects a maintainence fee.
3. Power supply has been brought up.  The orders the group made don't include power supplies.  That's $200 or more per unit someone has to buy.  Remember, Soniq hasn't put any money into this group buy, so he's going to push the PSU costs onto the buyers.  Once again, changing his Terms.  And he can just collect the maintenance fee on that too.
4. There's the issue of 1/360 ownership in a "mining collective", versus 1/360 ownership in a group buy, versus 1/360 ownership in 8 units, versus 1/30 ownership in 1 unit.  All confusing and not resolved as I read through as a neutral party.  This needs clarity, yet I feel it may once again change the Terms on the OP.  This will go on the buyers again with skin in the game.  Soniq hasn't skin in the game.  He's just providing a pass-through to a low order number and collecting a handsome maintainence fee for life.

Again, I'm just an outsider following this thread.  It really interests me and I know both groups can resolve all these things.  You guys have been admirable getting this far in a short time.  Just make sure all Terms are clear and there is accountability among all players.
793  Economy / Reputation / Re: 1krona's reputation thread. on: June 09, 2013, 03:32:56 AM
Did a successful trade with 1krona. Very good communication.  He handled his end first and I sent BTC after. Recommended.
794  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KnCMiner Openday Wednesday 5th & Monday 10th June on: June 08, 2013, 02:06:06 PM
I'd ask the attendees on Monday to start to get some questions tied to dates on the calendar.  Such as: When will chips be ordered to meet September deadline?  How long will is the queue from the manufacturer once the chips are order (ie: 8-10 weeks?)  If 8-10 week lead time needed to get in queue from manufacturer what date will KNC be placing order?  Etc...

It would benefit us as pre-order "investors" to have dates of the process on the calendar so we can hold the company to their word.  This sets up check points we can all look to along the next 3 months.  Otherwise we're at the mercy of News updates and a lot of times those come in reaction to criticism (lack of updates) from the community versus anything else.

We need to be proactive versus reactive in this pre-order process.  We're trusting our coins to someone for 3 months.
795  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [Auction] 3 KNC Miner Pre- order " Golden Ticket " to sell on: June 07, 2013, 11:38:02 AM
Sorry LiteBit and all to want take part to this auction. I slept and thought about my forgotten startprice and i have decided to make a startprice
of 3 BTC for each spot, because i have allready bids if 4 and 5 BTC in PMs. Pleoples asked me if  can  do it as an auction to make it fair. So if all particpants  and who had write me a PM and wanted that i am fair, then its only fair when i am insisting for the forgotten startprice.

Well,
NEW auction start with startprice of 3BTC

You can't do that.  If you have PM bids higher then they move the auction price and you post them on the topic, not change the rules.  Otherwise you don't post or start a topic in the Auctions section, you start a topic in the Goods or Digital Goods section with your terms.

So you need to post your PMs in this topic for all potential bidders to see.  That is a definition of Auction.  BTW, I withdraw my bid per your new terms and because the previous auction obviously ended with you not holding to the original terms.

Note to kncminer... if watching these things... THIS PROCESS OF TRYING TO ORDER YOUR PRODUCTS IS VERY FRUSTRATING!  Potential clients are being turned off by people not involved in your project or organization but that have the power over who gets your products or not.  VERY FRUSTRATING!
796  Economy / Auctions / Re: KNC Miner Preorder 36 on: June 06, 2013, 09:00:53 PM
I have an outstanding deal with tempt outlined below:

LiteBit to tempt (PM)

If you're not using your number I'm interested.
I'm just a legitimate miner trying to order some more hardware.  This is frustrating that we can't just do that.
I can offer 2 BTC now or the first 24hours of the unit's hash when I get it.  If you accept, you end the auction and we talk to KNC about changing the pre-order to me.
Let me know. Cheers,
LiteBit

tempt to LiteBit (PM)

2.5 and its yours. Contact me via email *******@********.com and we can do the stuff via email, its easier to keep in touch with KNC then.

LiteBit to tempt (email)
Hi this is LiteBit from bitcointalk.org

I agree to pay you 2.5BTC for your spot #36 from KNCminer.com.  We can use John K or I can pass on the BTC once we get intouch with Sam about switching the accounts.  Once he says it's a go we can set it up.  Sound good.

Cheers,
LiteBit

LiteBit to tempt (PM)

Emailed you.  Agreed to above.  My email I sent from is the one on file with KNCminer.com

tempt to LiteBit (email)

Hi,
good. Yea, I'd like escrow also, but I'm afraid of how long it takes. I'll message Sam and look if its possible to transfer Order Number.
If it all works out, I'll give it to you first, hoping you will stay true to your word and pay 2.5BTC afterwards.

LiteBit to tempt (email)

Please copy me on those emails with Sam.
That sounds good.  I can provide you with previous trades on the forum as well for my reputation.  I'm good for it.  Just trying to order some new miners.  And if you want to use John for escrow that's fine too.  I've worked with him before too.  He's fast when he's online.

Hi,

I have received higher offers via PM. Do you want to take part or is 2.5 your maximum price?

I'm sorry, I didnt see the interest people have in this.

LiteBit to tempt (PM)

Just double checking that we've got a tentative deal and you're talking with KNC about the transfer.  I see you've updated your Auction topic but not the way I would with a tentative deal.
Let me know.

I've wrote you a email regarding that.

Just making sure the original agreed upon deal is honored

This has been a VERY FRUSTRATING situation a bunch of us are in because we want to order but can't without paying someone that has nothing to do with the project.  There have been some classy users that have given there spots away because they won't use them, but most are folks that are trying to make money.

1. First why are saying such things in an auction topic. Discuss it in an other one or open a new topic.
2. As you can see in this frist post i have ordered one miner for myself. So i am in the project! I thought as i have made the preorders  in april, KNC
will approximately will have the same prices as BFL. So i have made 3 orders.
Peoples asked me, if i could make an auction with the orders, therewith everyone get a chance to get an early preorder ID. So i made it to make it transparent and fair. And how you can see, i did not consist for the 3btc startprice.
In your version (to give it away), how does it work, that everyone can get a chance to get a preorder number??? I think you do not have an answer.
And as i have said you in an PM i had allready bids for 5 and 4 BTC. And if had sold it at this PM prices you would not have the chance to get it here.
So what so you want??? You are one of the peoples  those i am offering the chance!!
Think about it!

The frustration is with kncminer.com not us or you. Trust me, I'm thankful to have a chance.
799  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [Auction] 3 KNC Miner Pre- order " Golden Ticket " to sell on: June 06, 2013, 06:24:10 PM
Nah I'd say this is different.

For BFL pre-orders , folks had to lay down a significant amount of money to pre-order. Totally okay with that; folks can sell or keep their pre-orders as they liked.

This on the other hand is folks not intending to pay for an item. Instead of the products that were intended to be available for sale to folks who would buy them, these 'preorders' were secured only for profiteering... OP is not contributing anything, I highly doubt they had the funds available for the 4 'preorders' , and making a quick buck was the idea for the get-go.

Not saying this shouldn't happen or that people should not be able to buy this...but IMHO it's a jerk move, just like concert ticket scalpers who make themselves middlemen by keeping products out of legitimate customer's hands.

If anyone is to blame though I think it's more the KNC system they used...

800  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] KNCminer 1-500 preorder on: June 06, 2013, 04:18:53 PM
I have ordered 1 saturn, maybe it is possible to order more, dont know.

I got one unpaid order, i have not so much money right now.
It must be payed in 5? days? Really dont know, but this is the 1-500 order, can do escrow if you want, but buyer pays fee.

http://postimg.org/image/u9fleifsl/

So did you confirm the payment? Meaning that the preorder is set at just 1 Saturn or is the order still open and we can use it to buy any unit
