81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 20, 2017, 09:06:06 AM
IOTA has 15bn market cap, Byteball 0.3bn. Thats a 50x upside for us! Guys spread the word about Byteball, we can do it!!

Very true. This shows that market actually wants something like Byteball if only it was aware of the existence of Byteball and its implications. IOTA is only a bag of hot air pumped up with ICO funds. They bought their own coin with the ICO funds and also used those funds for marketing but they have no tech to actually justify the price. Byteball, on the other hand, has solid fundamentals.

I fucking told you it's Byteball! 50% up over night. Completely undervalued coin, 50th place on CMC while actually deserves to be in top 10 because it's the ONLY DAG based coin that can be taken seriously. IOTA is a complete scam.

Byteball's market cap now: $300,875,431

10th place in CMC: Bitcoin Gold at $5,062,258,900 (16.6x higher than Byteball)

Bitcoin Gold is a scam while Byteball has solid fundamentals. The current price of BB (466$) multiplied by 16.6 would make it worth 7700$.

edit:
Definitely Byteball. No question about it. Greatest innovation ever since Bitcoin P2P Electronic Cash System.
83  Economy / Speculation / Re: After corrections, Bitcoin is now ready to go to $1777! on: December 14, 2017, 09:37:15 AM
We will see 17777$ bitcoins by the year 2017 but there will be casualties. I'm not sure whether it's all good after that. Your 17k bitcoins may be a drop of honey in a pot of shit.

I think it's time to remind everyone that I was right  Grin (haters gonna hate victory dance)
I predicted 17k BTC for the year 2017 when it was trading at ~300$

what's the worth of a 17k bitcoin if the TX fees are so high that you can't spend any?
the price tag of 17k is effectively a drop of honey in a pot of shit
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: LIVE CASINO RIGGED? VIDEO PROOF on: December 05, 2017, 01:10:49 PM
I never thought this could be rigged but seeing this, there might be a chance that every casino that has live dealers are rigged as well.

But we cannot conclude this yet until it all gets checked. I played this once, and never did I think it can be manipulated as this is seen live and the news is playing at the background.

I thought it was common knowledge that there were rigged roulette wheels, I think they've been around since roulette was invented.

It's certainly not the case in all casinos, they also get checked by the gambling commission. I doubt you'd see many in Las Vegas for example.
But I'm sure they still use them in certain shady casinos and online casinos.

Luckily we can play provably fair roulette in most crypto casino's, but they should really make a provably fair live roulette.

Provably fair gambling is going to be the destroyer of physical casinos, heed my words

No IOTA listed... oh it's its cryptohunter Smiley

IOTA's security was badly broken, their devs are not trustworthy. Even if IOTA was not an obvious pump-and-dump ICO scam they would still not deserve to be in this list due to the low quality of their code.

Sorry for a late reply but this thread fascinates me. I am curious whether my EMR detector would pick up any electromagnetic radiation when such a device is being used. Would make a nice way to bust those cheaters  Wink

90  Economy / Speculation / Re: Real reason why Bitcoin Cash is chasing Bitcoin on: November 24, 2017, 04:25:52 PM
I'm an early adopter since 2011. I know very well the technical side of Bitcoin. As an old-timer I can assure you that Bitcoin Cash IS THE REAL Bitcoin. I know it sounds weird but the THING that goes by BTC ticker symbol these days is actually an altcoin aka SegWitCoin.
91  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nights Watch by Afrikoin on: November 24, 2017, 04:14:33 PM
I went all in on Bitcoin Cash when it was trading at 0.14 against SegWitCoin.

Haters gonna hate
enjoying my millions made on Bitcoin Cash  Cool

I don't have to prove the brainwashed idiots wrong, the market does that for me already  Grin

Bitcoin Cash IS Bitcoin
92  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitstamp withdraw requirements? on: November 19, 2017, 04:15:09 PM

I totally understand and agree with that.
But I have two problems for which I found no answers on bitstamp website:

1)Large part of my coins are from mining, from ages ago.
I have no paper trail to justify these coins.
How bitstamp deals with mined coins?
I see sometime that exchanges ask for paper trail about coins acquisition but... if you have mined your coins long time ago, what do you have to provide?
I may have some GPU receipts somewhere, for the hardware I used to mine.
But I doubt it is enough.

2)Part of my coins has been acquired on BTC-e, legally.
I have a paper trail for this, a wire fiat deposit to ok pay from my personal account.
I have seen that sometime licensed exchange froze coins obtained from gambling sites and other "unclear" sources...
I was wondering if my coins from BTC-e, although obtained legally, are somewhat "tainted" and therefore will be frozen due to recent events.

Thank you

This can be a dilemma as one never knows what might or could happen when trading on exchanges. They can be quite unpredictable. In any case, you need to be prepared for the unexpected or the inevitable. If you mined the coins, you may be asked to substantiate that. If you purchased them from BTC-e and if they are tainted, then you might be asked to justify the purchase.

Bitstamp probably subscribes to Elliptic's forensic services which does an excellent job in blockchain analysis.

Actually their blockchain analysis is not so excellent at all  Grin they are making blatant errors and false claims. For example, I deposited from a cold wallet that was last used in 2013. I deposited directly to Bitstamp from that cold wallet address. They claimed that according to their "block chain analysis" those coins were connected to a particular cryptocurrency service. However, that cryptocurrency service was created in 2014. So there is no possible connection.

edit: nevertheless, after 7 days they decided to give my withdrawal a green light (see their last response below)

thank you for your explanation.

We have successfully concluded the periodic review and have instructed our payments department to further process your pending withdrawal transfer. You will receive an e-mail notification as soon as the process is concluded and funds have been sent to the designated account.

However, we would like to remind you that this Bitstamp account is for your personal and non-commercial use and the possible liquidation of the Bitcoins, received as donations on your website, is not allowed.

Should you have any questions or require any assistance in the future we are at your service.

So that said, I can conclude that at the end of the day, when you answer all their questions no matter how irrelevant those questions may sound, they are willing to process your withdrawal. It took me a week and I had to refer to certain TXs and Bitcoin addresses to prove the origin of my coins, but at least they did not delay it any further from the point where it became obvious that my coins are legit. Bitstamp is alright. Just be prepared for long interviews.

you will be right. in the same way you were right with your "bitcoin-sub-$2000-by-august" prediction that you pulled out of your ass and weren´t brave enough to  put some little money on a bet.

when do you think bcash will be more worth than bitcoin? within a year? two years? want to bet?  Grin

I told you motherfuckers Bitcoin Cash IS BITCOIN and you have all just been deceived into believing that a shitcoin token SegWitCoin was Bitcoin while actually it never was and it never will be. I was right. I put my money where my mouth is and it sure rewarded me well. Sold my segwitcoins 2 days ago.   Cool

congrats, mate! glad you did it. now you only need to sell your bitcointalk account also, and fuck off for good. good luck with your shitcoin.

That was exactly what I had in mind until you made this post. Now I will not do it but instead I will hang around until the end of this forum just to smear it in your face how I was right and you were wrong.  Grin

You made a good calculated play.

I did the same , swapping BTC for BCH at around 12:1, but I am holding on to 70% of my BTC Segwit just in case. Do you think it wise to sell out ?

I must admit I also keep around a small chunk of segwitcoins in case the banksters use their unlimited fiat supplies to pump up their segwitscam just like they did with Ripple earlier this year. When that happens it's just easy money for me as I'll be selling. If that doesn't happen I'm still doing very good Cheesy

97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CryptoGraffiti - Block Chain Message Encoder & Decoder on: November 01, 2017, 04:17:49 PM
@Hyena
Do you mean somewhere near the same place?
Maybe you can solve this by adding a "soft-limit", I mean something like that if you put a message somewhere, it will cost "more" (maybe higher fee) to put another one near it.
While obviously everyone can put what ever they want on the blockchain, your "soft-limit" will hide other messages that aren't following the soft-rule.

Maybe you can also add another "soft-limit" (or "oft-rule") that will lover the cost of near messages after X time (maybe 1 month, or 1 year ...)
Maybe the user can choose to set this limit on his first message, examples:
- First message in coordinate X:Y: 0.0001 miners fee -> Near messages will need to pay 0.0005 miners fee in the next 1 month
- First message in coordinate X:Y: 0.001 miners fee -> Near messages will need to pay 0.005 miners fee in the next 6 months
- First message in coordinate X:Y: 0.01 miners fee -> Near messages will need to pay 0.05 miners fee in the next 1 year

Maybe you can find other better way to deal with it.

Still, I know that this doesn't stop someone from creating a new service with a map that doesn't follow the soft-rule/limit and shows all messages everywhere (and so the passwords for other near messages) ...

I'm afraid this is very custom to a particular application, which is not the main idea behind cryptograffiti. It would make more sense to build another application for this specific use case and leave cryptograffiti the way it is.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CryptoGraffiti - Block Chain Message Encoder & Decoder on: October 23, 2017, 07:51:17 AM
I've an idea:

Can you add a way to write a message earth gps coordinates?
Maybe even encrypted messages.

You can add a section on the website, where it asks the gps coordinates on the browser, so it also works on android phones (maybe even iphone?)

The the user can enter a message, with those coordinates.

Data:
- GPS coordinates
- Title
- Clear message [it can be empty]
- Encrypted message with password - [This also can be empty]

You have to save somewhere all the messages, maybe with op_return in tx all to one single address, I don't know.
Anyway, all the user, by opening the page to this function, they will be able to see all the messages on all the earth.

The interesting thing about the encrypted messages, it is that it can be a way to force users to go to the exact place.
Example: Clear message: "the password is text written on the front wall of the chinese shop here"

very interesting idea. Encoding the GPS coordinates behind OP_RETURN makes sense here. In this context even encryption makes sense. but nothing prevents others from spoiling the fun for you and posting the password publicly.

I'm glad you put you money where your mouth is.

I'm just here to trade and make profit (in BTC), and if someday I find a good entry in BCH I'll get in, but atm, as I sold at 0.12, I can double my stack now.
Even if you believe on Bitcoin, you'll switch to USD/EUR/etc when it's the time to sell, it doesn't mean that you perma leave the market, it doesn't mean that you are trusting in USD.
This is just ... trading. BCH or not.

I believe in crypto globally, I'm not sharing your point of view but I'm okay on that fact.

Apparently we just utilize different strategies. I don't buy and sell very often because I want to avoid centralized exchanges as much as possible. I lost 7 bitcoins when bter got hacked and it happened 2 days after I deposited those coins there.  Grin I know that all I have to actually do is to hold on to my stash and wait, that's the safest strategy. I've been waiting since 4$ and I don't intend to ever sell all my coins for fiat. But nevertheless, I enjoy price speculation. That said. I think the current rally is just beginning and it's fueled by mainstream mania. I would not be surprised to see 10k $ bitcoin core tokens in the near-term future. I'd probably have to split my cold storage into smaller chunks then and use some of the chunks to accumulate more byteball and bitcoin cash. Anyone remembers October/November of 2013? Well, now it's 2017 and the market sentiment is similar  Cool you do the math. Political enemy or not, we are all going to profit from the dumb money flowing in. The dumb money doesn't know shit about the 1MiB block size limit issue with the deprecated version of the Bitcoin's block chain, they are going to be the biggest losers when that fork comes to a grinding halt Wink
