I actually expect the same thing. A temporary setback. There is always a correction after such a humongous surge. I sold 0.5 btc at stamp (495$ per coin) and placed buy orders at 320, 350, 370 and 390. so now, whatever happens, I feel as if I have gained something out of this.  |

Or we can forget about everything that we are talking here and just ride Ethereum pump and dump wagon. They are down almost 50% for God's sake. And they have gone up 50% few day ago. Who is orchestrating this?
All of the other alts are down a lot today as well. There is a bloodbath currently on coinmarketcap!
I'm invested 10% in Peercoin, 30% in NuShares and 5% in BlockShares. Completely unaffected by the "bloodbath". My BTC holdings have not decreased at all. |

Good topic. I have been thinking about the same thing. I lately bought into alts in the anticipation of a giant rally to maximize my gains.
You think that altcoin rally hasn't begun yet? Think again. Alts are not falling against bitcoin, it means they are rallying with bitcoin. If you converted some of your BTC into alts, you are not in a loss in terms of BTC. It's a good sign. It means we have still a chance that alts will start surging against BTC.

TBH I think we are currently overbought. The price should be in the range of 350-370 right now. If it continues like that it does not take long until we're seeing a vertical rise in price on the long term charts.
I can dig up some old charts that proof we "should" be at $25000 by now the price is what it is, there is no "should" there's only "is". ah shut up you smartass |

The momentum will bring us to new heights. More terrifying heights. I wonder at what level large traders will start with taking profits. It might be the comming days, or maybe when we touch the $500 price level. I have the feeling it can happen at any time.
sure they will start taking profits, but when the shit hits the fan, even the big dumps will be consumed by panicking mob. just think how many moderately rich people exist in the world. I don't even mean billionaires, just the regular lawyers and dentists. there are simply not enough coins for everyone. and for that reason, even the dumps from satoshi nakamoto wouldn't harm the price. in fact, it could be healthy for bitcoin because the more bitcoins are distributed the more people will start to utilize them in their everyday life. |

And it's gone..... $51 drop in 15 minutes.  Hopefully just the dumpers getting the greed out of their system again. You haven't seen shit yet. Even a rise of 200$ followed by a fall by 300$ before rising again 400$ in 24 hours is a perfectly normal market action at times of super bullish price discovery. Until the rally lasts it will always recover and conquer even greater heights. Every time it crashes like that could be the final time but we will never know. For example, we might run up to 10000$ per BTC, then fall down to 6000$ temporarily, only to capture 17777$ the next day. The swings will get bigger as the climax gets closer. |
