Can somebody explain me how the weight for staking is calculated and why my Coins always split in smaller group of coins instead of staying one big transaction. When my Coins split my weight is going down like hell and taking really long then to receive a reward from staking and its really low amount then. First I got a staking reward of 5 egc and after 3 days its 0.5 egc and taking more time. I would understand if I would get smaller amounts but more often but its not that way.

Sorry for my bad english guys Smiley

No need to apologize for your English, you explained your question well.

Weight is used to calculate the frequency of 'installments' towards your 7% annual. Much of this math during the time of an installment comes from a snapshot of your own wallet versus the rest of the network and relies on all things staying constant. Obviously nothing will stay constant. Even if you did not send or receive any coins, your weight is growing by day and the network for which your weight is measured against is forever changing. For these mentioned reasons and more, accurately anticipating anything about your installment size or frequency is not possible. To many variables, most of which you have no control over, come into play. Yes, if you have not staked recently for reasons of an offline wallet or otherwise, you installment will reflect that and you could assume a larger installment IF the network had not changed its weight. Even if the rest of the network also did not send or receive, destroying the transferred coin's acquired coin age, you could not project the new coins that come of minimum coin age (24 hours + maturity or full confirmation) nor could you project the other wallet's staking. Also other wallets coming online and going offline effects this, another variable that you can not accurately project.

Splitting is an internal function of the staking process for which you have no control. Transaction blocks are split by the staking process. But block size is a far less of one of the many effecting variable. The biggest factor you have control over is the coin age. Coin age is calculated in days. Any time you move coins you reset the coin age. Bear in mind that the rest of the network's holdings are calculated in days also and you have zero idea of when the other coin's 'day timer' started. For this reason, leaving coins alone and allowing them to gain more age is often times the best way to increase your staking installment, both frequency and size. If for example you spent a day buying EGC in relatively small amounts across many markets and made many transactions into your wallet, this might be on of the rare exceptions where transferring these coins into one larger transaction block would be beneficial in regards to the frequency you will receive installments in the future. But, the advantage of doing this quickly fades as you would be trading off the more important coin age for the less important transaction block size.

EverGreenCoin is built upon the technology of time-proven accurately 'interest-bearing' PoS crypto currencies. When developing EverGreenCoin, I did pay much attention and do much research into these coin's code. Both flaws and later developed counter measures of code improvement. I did implement all of the improvements previously found by pioneers of PoS that made those currencies pay it's promised percentage from staking more accurately over time. Rest assured, your EverGreenCoin staking will pay you 7% annual. But know that that 7% is very much a 'rolling calculation' that makes many estimations for which few can be estimated with precision. Your Pos reward does compensate for the previous errors in these estimations to ensure, your PoS reward will always be, 7% annual.

Thank you for your question, Abyaby. I hope I have answered it completely for you.

Can you verify it? C-Cex also replied you can contact them through Skype if you suspect it's a problem on their side. Their Skype user is "cicecx".

I hope it gets solved now Smiley Thanks.

Steve, can't you just rebroadcast the raw transaction provided before?

Yes, I have been working on this issue. No success to report at this time.

Gabi and I are making the EGC paper wallets to be both distributed at the strato launch event and mailed with participant's 3D printed names. These will be laminated and loaded with 10 EGC each supplied by the EverGreenCoin Foundation. We have agreed 700 paper wallets will suffice. Any remainder, should there be any, will be used in future promotions.

what a great idea i would love to have one of those. Doing a great job on your coins keep up the good work i will keep supporting

Thank you for the continued support!

Dâniel, can you please check if you recieved the 1 EGC I sent to the address you mentioned?

Yes, I received:

txid: 117106810fd638aa7cb2f17e00241f1a2b4ee115eb89f71e63cd7e35c98bf963

That's why I think there's a issue on C-cex and not on the network. Should I insist with C-cex about this? Do you think the problem is on their side too?

Yes, I do think we have ruled out all other possibilities. I am sorry you are having this issue but it does seem to be a C-cex issue.

Let me know if I can be of any assistance in resolving the matter.

I initially thought this as well Joe but, he did mention the txid. You only, to the best of my knowledge, get that after you click the link in the confirmation email from c-cex.

I do appreciate you trying to help as we try to track down the issue for Dâniel. Thanks for that!

Yes, exactly. I talked to the C-cex support and they even tried to "resendtx" and "sendrawtransaction", but it didn't work.

Dâniel, can you please check if you recieved the 1 EGC I sent to the address you previously mentioned?

I requested a EGC withdrawal from C-cex yesterday:

txid: 1a1641f23cfe6524f333987243b5e5bc7133b7c367cf8ae2e2ebc9256610ad66
to address: ER81zGnttC9B2jqzrvARz8zJDHkaQyLeqV

The problem is that it didn't arrive. I can deposit EGC fine to C-cex, but this withdrawal is stuck. I contacted the support and the answer is there is "something wrong with their network". But I can see on the block explorers the EGC network is fine (and the other exchanges work fine too).

So, does somebody know what's happening?

Thanks.

Ps: is there a EGC block explorer which shows unconfirmed transactions?

i had problems last week not receiving a withdraw confirmation email. if this is the case tell them to send you another email withdraw confirmation and that you didnt get your last one they will kill the other and send a new one hope this helps

I will do some tests and investigate, Dâniel. I just stepped away from my desk to make my breakfast real quick. Give me an hour and I will report my findings.

Sorry you are having problems. We will figure out what has gone wrong for you.

p.s. no, block explorers only show confirmed transactions.

Thank you! Smiley Take your time.

Ok Dâniel. I have concluded my initial tests and they were successful. I transferred EGC from two different EGC wallets into a C-Cex account with no issues. I then withdrew the EGC back in two separate withdraws back into the two separate EGC wallets. The two wallets are on different networks. All the transfers happen very quickly.

I sent 1 EGC just now to the address you mentioned. It does appear to be confirming. Can you verify you have received it?

EDIT: It is now fully confirmed.

Hi everybody
EGC blockchain

Just close EGC wallet and extract contents to roaming\EvergreenCoin and overwrite all files.

Enjoy
best regard!

I would like to verify this blockchain before it is presented to the EverGreenCoin community. Can you please take down the link until I have found time to do so?

Thanks in advance.

Until then, CryptoChainer.com does host an EGC blockchian for bootstrapping.

EDIT: I had to have the moderator remove the post. TonySon refused to do so.

Hi @EverGreenCoin
ADD EGC Coin --> https://poloniex.com

Yes, we have been trying to gain polo's interest, as well as shapeshift's. Here is the current list I have asked the community to do to help us achieve these goals:

Thank you in advance as your help is greatly appreciated and we all stand to gain by either of these respected services adding EverGreenCoin.

Hi
Very nice

Hi TonySon,

I did pay much attention to details to make the interface of EverGreenCoin both intuitive and attractive. Minor enhancements were worked into every revision and I am happy to see people enjoy the current results. I am honored and thankful for every compliment.

Thank you for the kind words! I do look forward to making it even better in the future.

Interesting coin comparison:

AUR ("Auroracoin") vs EGC ("EverGreenCoin")

AUR Available Supply @ 15 April 2016 PST:: 7,980,959
EGC Available Supply @ 15 April 2016 PST:: 7,838,275

AUR Available Supoly: 21M
EGC Available Supply: 12M

ALGO: Scrypt PoW
ALGO: Hybrid X15 PoW/PoS

AUR Price @ 15 April 2016 PST: 0.00076221 Bittrex
EGC Price @ 15 April 2016 PST: 0.00001021 Bittrex

...Quite a lot of headroom for EGC price growth...

Very interesting comparison indeed, Port. I thank you for not only contrasting the two, but for sharing the results.

Yes, a lot of headroom, agreed. With all due respect to Auroracoin, a project I do very much admire for many reasons and many levels, they have had a much, much longer development timespan. I do think EGC will obtain a comparable price level in the not-too-distant future. EGC being roughly twice as scarce and full PoS in ~2 months will not only cease, with exclusion of newly generated PoS coins, the stream of newly generated coin supply and in-turn drive demand.

It will be also very interesting to see this play out, coincidentally and not by initial design, during about the same time demand for EGC will increase for the solar miner as EGC will be the only accepted payment method. This is of course with the possible exclusion of a similar like-mined project being built into the solar miner as that currency most likely would be an accepted payment method as well. No communication has happened with any other project for inclusion at this time but, we have mentioned it here and it does still very much remain a possibility. The topic does remain under discussion of the team and of course the community is welcome to chime in.

It is again, an interesting comparison. EGC is not a "country coin" and is more of a "cause coin" so of course, that must be weighted into the comparison. That said, I am personally very much a proponent of country coins, as I have publicly stated. I am by no means in competition with Auroracoin, quite the contrary I have immense respect for the project. I do proudly hold a very small amount of both the Icelandic fiat, kept as a souvenir from a recent flight layover in Iceland, and Auroracoin also held as a similar souvenir. I am very much intrigued by the social-financial events in Iceland, not limited to its national crypto.

What does personally interest myself more than the prices folding out, is the cultural aspects as this "great experiment" and "revolution" unfolds. I thank you for the food for thought and am honored by the comparison, Port.

Hello EGC team

I would like to get straight to the point why im writing at this time., I know EGC has already made a lot of effort to become different from other altcoins but it seems many of people dont know yet the potential of this coin, so i suggest maybe we can contact MR ALLISON who manage http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/ which he usually focus on bitcoin and altcoin. We have a big incoming event for this month, so I think its time to tell him what we are capable of..and im sure this will help EGC to spread its wings, by the way this is his email add:  i.allison@ibtimes.co.uk

I can draft up I polite introduction for Mr Allison and email him today. Thanks for the information.

I really dig "Robin and The Backstabbers"  Smiley

I have no idea what they are saying, other than "Sat dupa Sat" translates to "Village after Village", but its still groovy.

At the moment EGC is just an altcoin like the rest for me, but what it makes it stand apart from the others is the transparant way of dealing with the community.
I feel that the dev's aim is sincere and that the goals set, are not ment as false promises to attract people to scam them all over.
I'm looking forward to the development of a solar miner, as I'm attracted to the idea of being able to mine without the electricity costs that normally go with that.
The gigantic amount of electricity that nowadays is being used for mining bitcoin alone, is a thing that Satoshi Nakamoto and early bitcoin adopters have never forseen.
Until that day I'll be staking EGC with the use of a 10 Watt consuming Windows 10 device and if things turn out like I've planned, I'll be staking just by the use of solar power in a few weeks.
Keep up the good work and I'll be an evergreenie for a long long time.

Thank you very much for the kind words Gizfreak!

Yes, the amount of electricity being consumed, largely produced by burning finite resources, puts us on a certain and unfortunate track. No one can argue that is not true, even if one chooses to deny the impact of greenhouse gasses. The fact that fossil fuels are limited alone demands us to seek better ways to both supply and conservatively use electricity. Not to mention all the terrible side effects.

The impact of sometimes flat-out wasteful uses of electricity stretches beyond the miner's budget. The more electricity is demanded, the more they can charge for it. I do feel this has detrimental effects on everyone. People that have nothing to do with mining and only want to power their refrigerator must pay more and more for that electricity. That electricity price is expected to quadruple in coming years. According to some people I personally know in the electrical power distribution industry, the number of those years is few.

As we demand more and more electricity, producers of the electricity also cut more and more corners. Fukushima.

Our environment containing our food, water, and air, and also our financial futures demand us to think wisely now while we still have time to alter our course.

Nothing at all has changed. Could you please post your conf file nodes. It might be that. I have no.conf file.

The conf file is not needed. Here, lets do this:

I have placed a peers.dat file at http://evergreencoin.org/peers.dat
Download that file. It has 52 peers and is fresh as of now. Place that file into your appdata folder, where your wallet.dat file is, and start your wallet.
