There is a small delay with compiling the Windows and Mac wallets because of a new dependency used in v1.6. Because of this, they might not be tested and released until tomorrow. I will make every effort to release them as early as possible tomorrow. Sorry for the premature 'today' announcement. I did not forsee this dependency being the hurdle it has turned out to be.

FYI - Cointopay seems to be having an issue with accepting EGC at the moment. Their system does not register payments made.
I just emailed them and is waiting for a reply.
Cointopay was recently verified. Their interface can sometimes be misleading, showing no confirmations when in fact confirmations are happening. Other times, it will report confirmations accurately as they happen. I have noticed this with other coins as well, not just EGC. Enough time might not have passed but of course, I am curious to their response. I will be on the lookout for a confirmation email that a payment was received. Thanks for reporting this. It might just be their interface, but its been 2― hours since the transaction was made. Double checked the block explorer and addresses and everything was fine there. I guess for now all I can do is wait for their reply. Hopefully its just delayed somewhere in their system. Payment received. I will contact cointopay and see if anything can be done is regards to the speed of processing. |

Great to see some funds coming in there. Do you know how much we need to raise in total - its not too clear =) Short answer, the more the merrier. Any overage could be pushed to another crowdfund. Long answer, not much. I hope to order the trees from my county's soil and water conservation department. These can range from $1 to $5 per sapling depending on the tree. I live in a very rural area and could find a virtually endless amount of land to plant but, a neighbouring farmer has an area that I already discussed with him. I am thinking 20 trees but, that number might change a bit depending on the type of tree selected. I have to give the land owner the final decision on the type of tree. I will have my nieces and nephews help me, wearing EverGreenCoin T-shirts, and it will make for some good photos for promotion and such. Hopefully helping us have larger tree plant endeavours in the near future. If there is a large overage, perhaps the funds would be set aside for the next tree plant. Of course, I would let the community dictate that decision at that time. |

Hello Guys
Feeling a lot disappointed to see the EGC Price decreasing day-by-day, I know very well this is Crypto & anything could happen here. Most importantly all ALT Coins got a major hit by the BTC Price surge but now all of them are recovering well.
I'm still in huge loss but I'm still & pretty confident that EGC will make a great comeback with a huge roar.
I always believed in the Coin, the Dev. Steven Sir, the Project & the Roadmap & will be always there no matter if it takes another 1-2 years for the people to notice the potential of this Coin which it holds.
I'm always Positive & I hope that every Coin Holder here believes just the same way like me.
10 Million Coins is not such a Huge Supply, well on another note you can even say that it is the Major & the Biggest Advantage for the EGC Coin.
When you have the Determination to get Succeed at any cost then even God also helps you in your journey & I strongly believes that Steven Sir won't let us down & will come true to our all expectations that we have.
Wishing you all the very best Sir, just keep going onwards & upwards. We're always with you & just make sure we will always keep Progressing forward unless & until the Goal is finally reached - The SUCCESS. Frankly speaking my expectation is to see the EGC Coin in the Top 50 Coin Charts forever. Nothing can be predicted about the price but yes EGC still seems to be very-very Under-Valued & is really an Underdog in the Crypto-World which is just waiting to get highlighted & capture the limelight & that's gonna happen soon in 2017 itself.

Hi amit2012, Cryptocurrencies are very volatile and many things impact price. Few of which I have any control over. The one impacting factor I do have control over is development and for that, I can be held accountable. With that in mind, we are getting ready to release our 3rd wallet in as many months, one of which making a hardfork. The new website is growing almost daily in regards to users, content, and improvements. The Android wallet is in its final stages of development, admittedly behind its projected timeline, but all of that and the hurdles it faced are documented here. The solar stakers are making very notable progress, again documented herein this thread. Thanks to this progress the foundation coins are now staked and the faucet payments are sent via solar power every day. Bear in mind I am also responsible for the social media on all fronts including this forum, supporting users, business communications, and paying the bills so all the infrastructure elements continue with no interruptions to services. When you look at the big picture, I think the entire EGC community should take pride in the progression of the humble community-driven eco-minded project that is EverGreenCoin. We are doing some amazing things and when you consider all of that is being done out of generosity to our environment, it is quite astounding. I can't thank the contributing community members, each and every one of them, enough. Simply put, it could not happen without them and as the community grows, so will our speed of progression. I think I can talk for all active Community Member that we think the same as you amitd2012. Steven is working very well on his Vision of EGC and he did not stop to work for his goals. People tried to put stones infront of his way but Steven did a great job and is still working on. EGCs market had not that good time but we all think the Project will get his attention in the future how it deserves it. I would say it will be one of the top 20 Coins in future.

Never heard of this coin before but with this active development, which many other coins donīt have, I think sub 1000 sat is really a good price for it. Also, I like the charity idea. Letīs see what future brings

I might have missed it somewhere as I havent been very active on the forums lately.
Is there any way to check the staking for charity?
I have had it enabled for a while, and it does say thank you for giving to xxxx, but I cant see any transfers, or any other messages that it is transfering part of the staking reward.
For staking for charity to work, you must first enable it. Which, it seems you have... but then some events have to happen that could take a long time.... Then have a PoS block accepted. Then allow that PoS block to mature (60 confirmations (about 3 hours)). After it has matured, you will then see a send transaction generated automatically to the charity address you specified and at the percentage you specified. If you have enabled staking for charity and close your wallet while a reward is not yet mature and then later open it again, it would still generate and broadcast the charity send transaction. The only way to stop this from occurring once it has been enabled is to click the 'disable' button on the staking for charity page/tab/section of the wallet. It will then display 'EverGreenCoin Stake For Charity is off'. Version 1.6 does have much stronger indicators to whether or not staking for charity is enabled. I am working very diligently to have that released as early this week as possible. I have had it enabled for several weeks and generating blocks every couple of hours (apart from a bit of downtime). Its not generating any transactions. I have tried setting and changing min/max and changing addresses around. It does not generate any transactions appart from the staking rewards. I am using the windows wallet. Is it because it needs to be completely unlocked, not just for staking? Oh, yes. Most definitely the wallet does need to be unlocked to make any transaction. I do understand how the message currently displayed might be misleading and I apologise for that. This is addressed in v1.6 and I am working very diligently preparing it for release. A good rule to follow, and one that will be obvious in v1.6, is that you must be staking before you can stake for charity. Your wallet does need to be unlocked for both internal functions to happen.
