First, be generous to your friends and family.
But then how would you know if they are only being your friends because of your generosity? Stop being generous and this will reveal your true friends. Second, don't do drugs or alcohol.
In moderation will do you no harm. Life is for living. Third, go to church.
Why? That only gives the church more power and wealth. Didn't Jesus say go sell your possessions and give to the poor? What went wrong there then as they sit on their thrones of gold giving their orders. |

God is constantly working to save people for Heaven. You, it seems, would rather pick on some particular evils that were done, and ignore the very real fact of Hell. If you are so in favor of saving people, become a missionary for God, and save people from eternal damnation, which is billions of times more painful than any little troubles you have talked about. BADlogic has just highlighted one of the biggest problems, IMO, what's wrong with his cult. Christian mythology encourages acceptance of real evils, while focusing on imaginary evils.*chuckle* The devil would be proud of you. The only evil that has any significance is the evil of not accepting Jesus salvation. Why? Because all the evils of this life will be gone when this life is over. Yet when I follow your logic with, "we cannot know what after death is like because we haven't died yet"....
