How would they calculate? Mtgox value? Wouldn't that make a monopoly? BTC trades in many values

guess Obama failed then like usual

You do realize that the Republicans get the say in laws?...
I guess the (R) failed.. like usual.

45% for blacks?
So you can get less than half the questions right and still pass, for being black? I know many intelligent black people, and they score just fine, and above average.
The blacks who fail in school are your typical 'gangsta thugs' who sit in class.... "Why do we need to know math, science, literature," for every class, and their favorite subject is skipping.

Maybe that should be evaluated over their color. I'm no doctor, but I feel if you're white, brown, black, red, orange, yellow, pink, if anyone who studies for 20 minutes will probably retain the same amount of information as long as their caught up in the subject and its not the first time you did school work in 6 months.
1184  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Somebody in Washington is not happy on: November 14, 2012, 06:09:14 AM
I'm curious what the UN will do, they approve of nations becoming sovern and they attack those who try to stop it.
Will the US be able to attack a state that rebels and be hypocrites?
1185  Economy / Services / Re: Package forwarding on: November 11, 2012, 03:00:25 PM
The only problem is people abusing this kind of service. If the market really demands it I can set something like this up, but you wouldn't be allowed to send any sort of illegal goods & we would co-operate with law enforcement ages should they give us a good reason (IE court order, you sending carded goods etc.)

Characterizing certain uses of these services as abuse doesn't make sense.  Bad people use legitimate channels for their activities all the time.  That doesn't make the channels bad, nor does it mandate that they "police" things.

The point of BTC and these anonymized shipping services is to promote free commerce.  Period.  If you want policing, charge-backs etc, then buy things on Amazon with USD and ship via UPS.  Even better, use PayPal which restricts whole categories of otherwise legitimate goods from buyers and sellers.

Wrong, if someone has a kilo of cocaine shipped to his mailbox, and he forwards it to Haiti, he will go to prison when customs opens it.

Please explain or use [sarc] tags where applicable. Smiley

As a non-American who took a passing interest in the elections because of the hype, I had a look at 2 of the debates, and thought Romney to be generally more articulate, better prepared, more knowledgeable than Obama. As for Obama, I expected Gitmo to be closed by now, all troops removed from AfghanisNam, no threatening rhetoric or sanctions against Iran, no stealth war against Pakistan, and Bradley Manning to get away with a warning or a small fine.

But still... better the devil you know?

Obama has tried to do every thing he said he would do on election 1.
Gitmo blame the (R) because they're stopping it.
Afghanistan troops are on their way out you cant pull out of a war you will waste the past 11 years.
Iraq is done that should be enough of a start...

Iran? Really? They're trying to make a nuke.
Stealth war against Pakiastan? They're funding the taliban and AQ... Bin Ladden was found next to their largest base and they could not find his 11 foot walled fortress?
Bradley Manning commited Treason, do I think he should be locked up? No, but he knew the rules..

P.S. To everyone else

You should take the advertisements off it. You don't have a site that's there to profit from ads, its a business site you don't see ads on nyse.com + the 0.15 cents you will get a month with your ads, isn't enough to make your site look unprofessional.

They develop it, but they are not controlling your coins.
They develop A Bitcoin client, not THE Bitcoin client.

I don't think it's very healthy for the decentralized, free, independent, and open reputation of Bitcoin to present Bitcoin-Qt as "THE" client (or even "the standard client"). The protocol is what's standard, not some particular client implementation (regardless if was the first around, or has the most users).

Also, bitcoin.org is just one of many random websites related to Bitcoin. Not "the official Bitcoin site".

I think Bitcoin-Qt is "the" & "standard" client TBH because if you read bitcoin somewhere, you first go to bitcoin.org unless your directly linked elsewhere.
Then Bitcoin-Qt will be the first thing you install, later on something like armory when you learn about it. I'm not familiar with all the clients, but armory needs Bitcoin-Qt to operate the fact they choose to use Bitcoin-Qt as their host, points to the direction Bitcoin-Qt is the standard app.

The first site I found was WeUseCoins actually. Then I found Mt. Gox, then Bitcoin.org. Then after that I found blockchain.info, and it was kind of dominoes from then on out. (Damn, now I want Pizza. Papa John's, Domino's sucks around me Tongue [Free pizza's will be graciously received])

Well I guess its not the same for everyone, but if you mention bitcoin to someone the first thing they're going to do is go to their search engine and put in bitcoin, bitcoin.org is the first thing to come up.

It means I don't want to buy your moneypak at 1:1. Bye.

Sorry I didn't realize special people get more BTC value when selling for same as cash value.

It's called an exchange rate, if you are unhappy stop buying moneypaks and put your cash into another payment processor.

It's called you're a scammer imo. You wont find a single person to offer $10 cash for $10 in bitcoins.
