I just got this holster today, and my gun is sitting in my shorts. Its easy to forget you have it, its extremely comfortable. It feels like you have a stacked wallet for those of you who ever had one  Grin
1082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [PPC] Who bought almost 500k PPC today!?! on: December 20, 2012, 09:33:49 PM
Whats that $170?..

Yeah, about...

times 13.5.

0.00034 * 490,000 = 166.6 BTC * $13.50 = $2,249

I see, tired calculated as cents not btc.

Was my first bitcoin face to face too, was cool to trade this way.
1086  Economy / Goods / Re: How much would you pay for the domain: buywithbtc.com ? on: December 19, 2012, 11:08:26 PM
Domain names mean everything. You're not going to go to a site jasdflkjsdalkfoie78f90asdujfklk328fd89vkjsdahflujah.com to buy anything it doesn't matter how SEO ranked it is.
Check out flippa...

Website    Price    Bids    Ending
Stimulation.com    $1,350    7    6 days
Stimulation.com Domain Name For Sale - Premium Domain - One Word!
mushroom.com    $1,200    5    29 days
MUSHROOM.COM - SUPER DOMAIN
Enemy.com    $2,000    4    29 days
Enemy.com Domain Name For Sale - Premium Domain - One Word!

3 domains, nothing on them selling over $1k each.

Yeah and that's because they have better names lol.
Most of the Internet hasn't even heard of bitcoin, not to mention its name in abbreviated form ('btc').

terms such as 'mushroom' and 'enemy' above are much more popular than 'btc' so they will sell for a lot more

I don't think the OP's domain is worth more than $10-20.

Agreed that those are premium names, but buywithbtc isn't to bad either, its not premium like bitcoin.com is but all I was saying is if you're searching google.com buywithbtc is a good domain to have if you're targeting people trying to buy stuff with bitcoin.
As of right now its probably not worth the $1000s the others are, that's why I suggested holding it. In a few years once bitcoin is huge, it will be worth tons.
1087  Economy / Goods / Re: How much would you pay for the domain: buywithbtc.com ? on: December 19, 2012, 10:53:05 PM
I own the site buywithbtc.com and am just running a kind of experiment with it to see if in the future it would generate significant enough revenue. Although, I bought the name with the intention of selling it. If you guys could please say what you think its worth-what someone who has an idea of what kind of site they would create w/it I would really appreciate it. I can already see the smartass answers so please keep them to a minimum, they're not that funny.

I would not pay anything for it. I'd go register a new name for almost nothing instead of paying you for this one.

amazon.com - rubbish domain name, hugely successful. They never paid for books.com
ebay.com - rubbish domain name, hugely successful. They never paid for auctions.com
google.com - rubbish domain name, hugely successful. They never paid for search.com
Facebook.com - OK domain name, hugely successful. They never paid for friends.com or anything less silly sounding.
Wikipedia.com - Awkward domain name, hugely successful. They never paid for encyclopedia.com
paypal.com - This company owns x.com but doesn't even use it.
sex.com - The center of a huge legal battle for years because it's such a 'cool' name. If it's so cool how come it's not used for anything noticeable right now?

You obviously have no idea how website rankings and seo work.

If you're searching for monster trucks and you go to google.com and type in monster trucks would your first choice be to go to the listed www.monstertrucks.com or bigmanstantruckandshop.com

Or if you go to google and search what can I buy with btc, and you see a domain that's www.coolgadgetstobuy.com and they accept bitcoins, are you going there or a site thats www.buywithbtc.com? Probably buywithbtc.com

No, he obviously DOES have a clue. Take this domain names scam to Digital Point or wherever the superficial, shilly agreement that domain names are valuable BEFORE being developed is still unpierced.

A "good" domain name has ZERO value. I know it hurts, with all those "portfolios" of "valuable" domain names you're paying thousands a year to maintain, but it's a fact. Nothing successful was ever made around a "good" domain name, and it never will be made either, precisely because technology is about new things, not about old things.

And no, I'm sick and tired of btc bla bla and that dumbass icon, to the point that if a new site has either I tend to close the page. I bet you the above great domain name against a bitten donut that I'm not the only one.

Obviously domain names don't mean everything. But you can't argue that they mean absolutely nothing. Come on.

I am.

Domain names mean everything. You're not going to go to a site jasdflkjsdalkfoie78f90asdujfklk328fd89vkjsdahflujah.com to buy anything it doesn't matter how SEO ranked it is.

i think you should let amazon know they have failed in the SEO department.

Everyone knows what Amazon is, and they spend hundreds of millions letting those who don't know, know.

But if you didn't know what Amazon is, and you searched google.com for 'books' are you going to go to Amazon.com, or books.com?

Business.com I can see selling for 1 million, or buy.com sell.com etc.

Hold your bitcoin domain in 10 years it will be worth something nice. I have payinbitcoin.com

1094  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Can bitcoin be copyrighted? on: December 17, 2012, 05:34:06 AM
I'm selling generic label Electronic Cigarettes, but I can brand them. I'm thinking of using the bitcoin B's to incorporate into the logo/design/name somehow. It will help spread the word of BTC to smokers.

Before I do so, I want to make sure I'm not going to be sued down the road..

I think the legal concept to which you intended to refer was trademark, not copyright.  As to whether anyone has sought to register any Bitcoin-related trademarks, I don't know.  I somewhat doubt it, but I could be wrong. You'd want to have an IP lawyer look that up for you before proceeding further.  IANAL, YMMV, etc. etc. etc.

Just as an aside, if I had a trademark of any sort and found someone was misappropriating it to put on cancer sticks, I'd be more than a little bit pissed off. Getting a lawyer involved would be a good idea if a potential Bitcoin trademark holder were to be of a similar opinion.

Thank you, trademark is probably more appropriate of what I'm looking for.
As for cancer sticks, ecigs are not cancer sticks they don't have any of the toxins cigarettes have with the exception of nicotine, half of what's in the liquid is in food.

And thanks to everyone else who replied, I think I'm satisfied with the responses.

1097  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Want to sell RuneScape account > Level 199 on: December 16, 2012, 11:02:26 PM
By the way, the reason I'm selling is 1. I don't even play anymore, and 2. I need startup money to open a store.
Any questions, feel free to ask Smiley
1098  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Want to sell RuneScape account > Level 199 on: December 16, 2012, 10:01:05 PM

are they thongs? boy shorts? various styles?

Do they smell like filth?

These are answers that need to be addressed, along with mine.

Also, any chance you got some where she went clubbin, it's a rare piece since the girls don't normally wear them to clubs so I'd be willing to bargain a price increase.
