When I am talking about being a newb, I'm talking about the days that i just met bitcoin. I easily fell for scam so that in that matter i lost quite alot of money back then. The last 2 years, ive been trading on bitfinix with smaller amounts. I didn't want to loose money as friends so i dediced to start with a small amount. It didn't grow but also didn't shrink much, untill the hack
By that time i also got involved with reading about gulden. It's based in my home country and there are several reasons why I decide to start using it. For me it is the easy exchanging and clear wallets. I also now use a spreadsheat to keep my notes and orders, which i didn't do before.
Moral is maybe; know where you decide to invest in, because if you know what you're dealing with you'll easier make profits
nicely said mate, the moment you enter the trade you should now what is the basic to avoid losing investment, congrats to you mate and i hope many more success to come your way. I agree with this, OP doesnt make this topic just to show of his profits but he stated about his experiences and hard times on gaining bitcoin. Trading is been commonly suggested by almost users here in this forum but in reality trading is not easy as it sounds because you would need knowledge and analyzing skills to be profitable with it and as you said you would definitely need to tally or making some notes in order to follow your trading pattern. |

Many people pick both bitcoin and gold, and me too. Both are good and why not pick both if you can pick both. Using bitcoin for investment and currency, for gold, using gold for long term investment, good combination right.
Both are really good, but let us be realistic here, majority of us here does not have the capacity to invest in gold because we are not born rich and that's why we are here because we are hoping that bitcoin can give us fortune, so in short we are only capable on investing with bitcoin. You are right, majority of us doesnt have the capability to invest into gold since as we all know that gold is expensive and we couldnt afford to buy huge or bulks amounts of it. In fact in bitcoin we could able to buy small amounts. Regarding in price increase they both increase its price but in bitcoin does have an edge since price movements is seen almost everytime unlike on gold which its value moves a little in a period of time. The expenses in investing gold does not end in the buying transaction, you also need to safeguard your asset and maybe you will buy a safe vault to safe keep your gold and that entails a lot of money as that is prone to robbery if someone detect you have a valuable asset on you. Security on your gold holdings would must be consider also because as you said it is prone to robbery because gold is precious for most people and they like to get it no matter what. You would up some expenses with this matter not only on buying gold itself but also its security same as you said. Its much better to buy bitcoin if we dont have enough money to spent on gold . |

Actually i was playing lately and tried all the best way to safe playing in gambling i bet small bets and place high bets when i am sure with the round but the result was really make me feel cry and i lost everything in the end of the game trying to figure it out what will happens if you try to play in smart ways nothings happens just stay away from gambling
You are right no matter how smart you play in gambling the result would be still the same since gambling is designed that way which is their players losses in the long run while playing in their sites. Safe methods on gambling doesnt exist at all because theres an house edge in any gambling site which this thing would surely make you lose. Just curious since the last discussion I had was about gambling vs trading. I know trading can seem to be a bit of a gamble as well, but I see it a little bit like poker. It's a combination of math and psychology. Maybe not the same ratio though, just generalizing  Im never considered that trading is a gambling also . But trading vs. gambling i will probably choose the trading even i can earn cents of bitcoin there and in gambling you could earn more profit there double or triple your bitcoin but not in the way of 100% of course there are chance that you could lose everything That is an obvious answer for everyone, trading is more on the serious people who want to make money in the long term, gambling is just for fun and you cannot ensure you will make money because the odds always favors the house, they control the game while you are in control when trading. gambling name is obvious: it is a game. so you should treat it as a game too . not as an investment to make money and even if you treat it that way you have to test it first to realize that you were wrong before losing a lot of money. the same goes with trading it is not easy, you should test that too at first to see if it can be profitable for you or not. We y'all know that gambling is definitely a game , but there are some benefits that came into our life sometimes gambling for me is just a game of fun where i can make profit not daily nor weekly sometimes i get lost but sometimes i really win not that much at least i have a profit and stop playing i know my limits. Good for you that you able to control your self when playing gambling since most of gamblers or players on it do became addict and just keep playing and playing and lossing all their money. Trading and Gambling is two different things even though they have the same risk on lossing up your money but in gambling you could not guarantee yourself to make profits in long run unlike in trading that you could get profits when you trade in smart way. |

This is gambling in casinos not sports betting. Here it is luck which is all that matters. Getting a 100% win rate is very possible for a very lucky person, but the question is "for how long?" once the player runs out of luck they will lose again. So it is technically not possible to get a 100% win rate since the house edge will make you go bust at some point of time.
100% win rate never happens not even in sports betting. you will end up losing sometime and even if you have a 100% win rate it means you have only been playing for a very short time and you have only a couple of bets. but yeah there is a better chance of winning in sports betting that there is in playing dice because of the skills you use there. There is much different between sportbetting and dice games though because when you play dice you need some luck mean while if you do some sportbetting what you really need is good analyze to guarantee your winning. Btw how can skills does matter in dice games? I dont think that skills have any effect on your result Sports betting and dice games are different even though they are both gambling games. Just like what you said dice games does require only luck and skills are not required to play this thing unlike in sports betting you could lessen the risk and adding the winning percentage by just having a good prediction with your desired team. I think if you buy today and hold them for a short period of time, chances are bigger that you will gain a small profit rather than a big loss
we should have to rely on long term holding our bitcoin so that we get the real profit which the investors are getting from years. with long term holding we have the chance to become rich as it is sure that in the coming future the price of bitcoin will increase many folds. Most of bitcoin holders does have the same aims and hopes which on holding their bitcoin for future profits when bitcoins price would reach to its peak. Buying bitcoin as of today isnt bad idea at all and we saw that bitcoin is young and have the potential to increase in upcoming years. Long term plans would be good but we should diversify our coins so that it would somehow add our bitcoin holdings which is more a good thing to do rahter than putting all coin on idle. |

We can really start into trading anytime as much as we want as long we are knowledgeable with this field and you already have idea because if you just rush into this thing without proper knowledge then for sure you would lose your money. Being a trader is not easy at all especially we are battling against price movements of a certain coin or currency but the hardworks on making positive trading would really make you decent money.

Earning bitcoin isn't different when you're earning fiat, the only difference are you paid in bitcoin and there aren't many jobs option which pay bitcoin.
If you find that earning fiat online is boring, you would find earning bitcoin is boring as well.
Earning fiat in day job would be somehow enjoyable because you could meet other people while you are doing your job compare on earning bitcoin which you are only online on your smartphone or pc on your house which is actually tiring especially if you are doing the same thing again and again for everyday. Earning money is not easy and no matter how boring it is , we should not stop and must proceed in able to reward our hardworks. |

What do you think that will happen once the real Satoshi reveals himself (and proves that he created Bitcoin)? Will Bitcoin ever be the same? Will governments try to pursue Satoshi and put him in jail? This will be something interesting to know, once it happens (if it ever does) sometime in the future. Please feel free to share your thoughts here.  In my own opinion if satoshi would be caught or voluntarily surrendered to authorities then it would surely impact the reputation of bitcoin all over the world since it would be a big news and everyone would know regarding on his invention either it would give positive or negative impact on bitcoins image into the people all over the world. About the price i would assume that it wont somehow affect it because bitcoin is decentralized. |

It just wont happen at least not any time soon, there is no way right now for local business to accept bitcoin, it doesn't even make sense for them to do it, I don't really see any benefits for them, it's just extra trouble and work for no reason, they can easily lose money just with bitcoin volatility.
This is one of the reasons why merchants do have hindrance on switching bitcoin as a payment on their goods and services and thats because of price volatility and also some merchants on other countries doesnt even heard about bitcoin at all thats why bitcoins adoption on merchants is slowly progressing. Well maybe in future when bitcoin adoption increases and also the price would increase for sure it would increase the sum of merchants would accept bitcoin as a payment. |

I love paper money more than anyone else.Yes i love bitcoin alot but any one would love paper money in his hand than bitcoins or any other crypto-currency in this wallet.So i dont think paper money's future will be effected by the bitcoin.You can show the power of paper money anywhere while many doesnt even know about bitcoins.
Strongly agreed with your statement, people would surely love to use fiat money than spending bitcoin on their pockets and also paper currency is being used since in the beginning of time even how bitcoin would be succesful in the future theres no possibility that it would replace paper currency anytime soon. Bitcoin does also depend on paper currency value , if fiat would be useless then bitcoin would also be useless too. |

i think i never think or measure that how much i earn or lose from trading, because there is always a mixed situation some time i make good money other side i book lost so it is not fixed and it is not so easy to tell that how much i earn or lost in trading.

You can lose everything if you are not careful about gambling because if you spend to much money then you might end up broke.
Never rely on gambling to make you money because that is wrong and they will let you lose.
Yes indeed we must be careful if you want to use gambling. Self-control is necessary to avoid bankruptcy. But in fact some people gamble just to have fun and do not rely on luck. It does not matter as long as self-control and can manage the expenditure was not a problem. You are right having a strong self control would bee needed when we intend to play gambling so that we cant be easily overcome by our emotions especially when we are experiencing lossing streaks or huge amount loss already. We could possibly lose all of our money in playing gambling as much as we have money and we keep playing for longer times and for sure your money would be gone in an instant without your awareness. |

I think its ok because there is other people here are looking for answer so for those newbie they seen this thread it can help also to them.. And they are easily seen this because its bump by updated post here.. And i think many newbies are looking for methods to earn. so this is a good place to read more opinion and suggestion from other how to make money in this forum.. You have a point though, even OP created this thread for long time ago but still it would be useful for new members since its better to read this old threads rather than posting a new topic with the same question at all. Its all the same no matter how OP had improved or he already knows the way on earning money here in bitcointalk then its a good thing. Making money in bitcointalk is easy especially jsut participating on signature campaigns which is the most common way but not only that you could also sell your skills/ services to other which you could also do decent amounts with it. |

Gambling may be good for some people IMHO never found such people but many people here claim to do so. I personally feel that gambling is worng and an individual should not get addicted to it. Most people lose more than what they win at gambling because they are plain greedy and the house edge catches them before they can cash out.
Gambling is good only for entertainment purposes which you treat your self sometimes with leisure after a long day of hard work or any thing that you do but its not advisable to play long enough and staying on it for how many hours, just like what you said house edge do catch them before they cash out which is very true when you are playing gambling. Gambling would be wrong if you are already got addicted into it and you are already compromising your money and your family. |

I don't spend them, but sometimes I get a good tip for some sports event and do some betting.
Sometimes it doesn't work out and I lose the bitcoin, so thats kind of like spending them, I guess.
You still spend because sports betting is gambling and in gambling we have no assurance whether we will win or not. I know that because I am a gambler myself. Then make your gambling to a wiser one. Don't play now to those house edge games and focus only on sports betting. If you still have a losing streak to the point that it deplete your funds then gambling is really not for you. Bitcoin spend it does not matter if you can manage the expenditure. Because we should not be wasteful and to be able to manage the expenditure. Using bitcoin in gambling was not a problem as long as we still have self-control. If I also spent my bitcoin like gambling and to buy, but it's not often because I prefer to save it. it is much better to save it and wait for the price to rises up but im also using it for personal expense like paying bills and my loading business since here in our country we can use btc for that such activity. Agree, saving up much bitcoin would be a good thing for future investments and future profits but we cant really avoided to spend some amounts on our savings since we need to pay or use it on our bills and other expenses but we must limit our spending so that we could able to save more bitcoins. Same as yours im using my bitcoin to pay bills, load my mobile and purchasing game credits which is available on my local wallet services they offered. |

What do you say? Isn't earning bitcoin through the likes of signature campaigns, tweets and posts really boring? I really think so, at least its not an attractive or appealing way to earn bitcoin or any money for that matter.

I do admit that sometimes doing these things just to earn bitcoin is a little bit boring since you just keep doing the same thing again and again but i wont mind those tiring times, i usually put up to my mind that im earning money and just like doing a regular day job which somehow motivate me to keep going without any trouble. Sometimes when i experience of little bit sleepy while im doing my job , i do play a music so that i can continue on my work. |

In my opinion you don't have to tell here about it first let her show what you are getting from it especially the benefits and then things will surely follow like she would going to ask you how did you do it.
good idea show her that you can earn a lot and exchange it to cash then treat her for sure he will ask about how can you do some earnings about btc. she will ask dude haha not he lol. Well yes and now we are both doing campaign,captcha solving and trading when we have our free time. And i know she is also enjoying it while she ask things it means she gets more interested Well its depends on what girlfriend do you have since women nowadays do differ in anyways like on their interest on such thing. If you intend to tell her about bitcoin from the start and you saw that shes quite interested then you might able to convince her to bitcoin world without any difficulty but there are some girls that when you try to explain to her or show about bitcoin then she refused on the first try then better to leave it since those kind of girls dont want complicated things. |

I believe that without signature campaign you probably could earn through the freelance work or offering goods and services, check the services section.
Actually if you are going full time in collecting bitcoin, you should always aim for those freelance jobs and your last choice should be signature campaigns and faucets...Cause if you focus too much on signature campaign you will not wake up to the truth that you could earn more outside the forum and in real life, but since we are talking about things that we could do in here to earn, I think those job offerings in the services section are the ones we could rely on without a signature campaign... Exactly, signature campaigns are just the most common way to earn here since most of people do participate to earn money without any skills needed just a pure post with understandable english grammar and must be constructive. Same as they said there are lots of ways to earn bitcoin in these forum not only in sig camps but also you could sell your skills and you could also sell digital stuffs as you want. Just try to go in services section and you would find what would suits you. |
