321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold BTC or Buy Altcoins - Hard fork on: October 10, 2017, 06:38:45 PM
I voted both. Holding BTC is a must, but there are good altcoins to buy as well. For example, I'd like to buy Bitquence, but today this coin has a big pump and thus I think I will wait to buy it until price goes down again.
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gold fork on: October 10, 2017, 05:38:06 PM
I am a relatively new investor in Bitcoin, and recently I have been reading about a fork to Bitcoin gold. My understanding is that everyone who owns Bitcoin receives the equivalent number of coins in the forked currency, once the fork takes place. Is this correct?

Do I have to store my Bitcoin in a specific wallet (I might be new, but I'm not stupid enough to send my coin to you ;-) ), or do anything to activate this, or will it happen automatically? (If the fork goes ahead, of course).

Thanks for any advice.

Yes, you will receive the equivalent number of coins you have in your wallet, in a similar way it happened on August 1st with Bitcoin Cash fork. That time many exchanges made all the work, i.e. if you had 1 BTC on such exchanges you received 1 BCH automatically, without any effort made by you. I don't know if things will be the same with this other fork as well. In any case, to be safer, it is better if you put all your coins on a wallet controlled by yourself. Electrum is a very good choice.
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WAVES/BTC - Seem Breaking Soon, BUY now for GOOD profits on: October 10, 2017, 05:34:08 PM
I don't think any altcoin will be pumped before the hardfork for sure. Everybody dump their own alts now to get more btc.

Yes, I also think so. We won't see a big pump on such coins before the hard fork...anyway Waves price is not so low btw.
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: SENTINEL ICO Announcement - SENT - Decentralized VPN Coin on: October 10, 2017, 05:30:59 PM
I think there are plenty of users which want to use a decentralized VPN service which doesn't store user data and doesn't log users activites. So I wish you good luck for your project, because I surely will be interested to use your service. But I don't understand why you posted such announcement thread if you don't have a website, a white paper, a MVP and basically you got nothing. Just an idea. In my opinion that's not enough to post an ann.
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 |ANN| MYSTERIUM NETWORK - Decentralized VPN built on blockchain |MYST| on: October 10, 2017, 05:24:05 PM
Does anybody know how to reach out to the team?  I need their help to recover my BTT account, but they don't answer on slack.  Any idea?

Why do you need Mysterium team to recover your old Bitcointalk account? it's better if you post your issue on the "meta" section:
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]COSS Token Swap ICO is LIVE on: October 04, 2017, 06:36:41 AM
If we keep the coss tokens in the coss site... in the wallet of the coss exchanger, will we get "revenue share"?
Can anybody confirm this please?
in order to receive your share there are 2 options:
1. keep your COSS tokens inside you COSS wallet
2. if you keep your COSS tokens in a separate wallet, you need to activate the revenue distrubtion by following the tutorial :

I read that tutorial, but I didn't understand two things:

1. Do we need to send COSS tokens to MEW before receiving the revenues, or we can leave COSS tokens on and receive just the revenues on my ether wallet?
2. If we sent some of COSS tokens to MEW and leave a part of COSS tokens on (let's say 50% on and 50% on mew), will we get the same amount of revenue like if we put 100% on just one site?
For example, let's say we get 2 COSS tokens as a revenue. If we withdraw 50% tokens and send to my ether wallet (or sell to another user), will we still get the same 2 tokens as a revenue?
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [EON] EXSCUDO - ICO successfully finished! on: October 03, 2017, 08:45:43 PM
Good updates! We'll see the testnet and how it works.
This project is taking some time to be implemented, but I'm still confident it will be huge and we'll get nice profits with EON coin we bought/earned so far...
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best and safest way to store passwords? on: October 03, 2017, 08:23:08 PM

Does anyone know or can reccomend the best way to store passwords? Is there a program you can use or a way to encrypt a file with all your passwords on it?

Which passwords do you need to keep safe?

Anyway, I can suggest 3 ways:

- a piece of paper, with your passwords on. For extra safety you may insert wrong characters into them, so that, even if a stranger will find it, he wouldn't be able to recover your funds.
- an encrypted file, stored in an encrypted USB, never connected to the Internet.
- your brain. This is the safest way in my opinion. Because no one can steal, crack or hack your brain... the downside is that you need to have strong memory (and I know many people who don't have it).
329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think LTC go up soon? on: October 03, 2017, 02:38:48 PM
nope. Litecoin is a good coin but it need time to have update. dev need working harder to make many people use this coin for trading. I think next year will be the year of LTC. 150$ in 2018

Yes, Litecoin is quite outdated and has a very basic technology compared to other newer altcoins. Yet I think price will rise again, so I'm buying some these days.

Too bad I missed this ICO. There are lots of ICos out there and it is not so easy to find every interesting one. Now I'm waiting Nimfa get listed on exchanges so that I will buy it...

Is airdrop still available or you already reached 1000 users?
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Snip - The Future of News on the Blockchain on: October 03, 2017, 01:16:58 PM
I think this is a very good idea. Also, I read somewhere you are partenering with it true? How this partership will go on?
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: DomRaider - Decentralized blockchain auctions in real-time on: October 03, 2017, 01:12:41 PM
Why do you ask some many infos about ICO investors? Like name, surname, address, etc.
I think this will discourage many people from partecipating...

335  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best exchange to buy/sell ethereum tokens ?? on: October 03, 2017, 08:17:59 AM
Etherdelta is the best one. It is fully decentralized and very safe and reliable. Also cheap and with nice volumes... you can find lots of tokens there.

Their interface is not so user-friendly though...
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where do you see Ethereum Dark(ETHD) price in one year?? on: October 03, 2017, 08:13:14 AM
10 % premined coins for devs, no white paper and no clear roadmap. Do you think it's a serious project?
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you find your ICO's ? on: October 03, 2017, 08:07:14 AM
I have been looking to invest into more ICO's but i'm having some trouble to find the ones that do not scam you. So my question is:
How do you guys find your ICO's and how do you know they are a scam ?

It is impossible to be 100% sure about ICOs. Many look legit, but may will end to scam people. So do your own due diligence, study, search on google, social media, etc. informations about ICO project, team etc. only then you can invest. But always be careful and trust no one in this world. Anyone could scam you and take your money without even releasing the tokens!
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: OmiseGO Network Discussion on: October 03, 2017, 07:55:29 AM
I still don't understand how people will be able to deposit fiat currencies on Omisego decentralized exchange... can anyone please explain me this?
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [RCC] Reality Clash - First ARG Mobile Game with ERC-20 Armory on: September 27, 2017, 01:49:32 PM
This is a revolutionary project that will transform the gaming industry. Yet I'm a bit surprised that this ICO has not been a huge success so far. Partecipants are not so many and money raised is very little compared to other ICO. I hope this won't compromise your roadmap... maybe it was just the marketing part haven't worked properly so far...
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone know ICO tracking site on: September 27, 2017, 01:18:51 PM
Cheesy Hello everyone. Can someone know any site to keep track ICO progess. how many raised, softcap, hardcap, day end.

The most reliable and updated source of ICOs progress are just the companies which do the ICO. Follow their social media pages and their websites. Often stats like how much they raised, bonuses, etc. are updated in almost real time on such platforms.
