101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safeguarding funds , your funds on exchanges are safe? on: November 04, 2020, 12:46:47 PM
I only store my funds on one exchange like 3-5 months and its on Binance yeah its really not safe to store for much longer time but I fully trust this exchange because funds on Binance are SAFU meaning its safe and your money are insured once something happens to that website you can recover your money Binance has emergency reserve to be use to payback traders in case of hacking but like the most advise here if holding huge amount of crypto then best to send it to your own wallet for longer storage purposes.

Recently, I got prob with google authenticator with binance, I just used it last week so I know my phone is not a prob. But when I did my tx this week, it says invalid input from my google authenticator. I panicked. Tried many times (turn off my phone/turn it back on), didn't know what was wrong. So I ended up removing the google authenticator in my security settings. Withdrew successfully using email and sms only but still wondering why my google auth didn't work. I know my funds are safe but if that kind of issue arises while I am doing my withdrawal, guess it is always better to send your coins back to your wallet.

Wow this is something I hope no one faces and now.i need to think about some alternative ways to withdraw funds if I lose my Auth. It goes without saying that keep only small funds which you wanna trade in exchange .
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Greedy crypto developers on: November 04, 2020, 12:43:18 PM
I think they are not greedy, they just try to find a way how to get interest of people in cryptocurrency by following the trend.
Although the method is not quite right, maybe it has got some attentions of investors which is better than got nothing.

To get people interested in cryptocurrency, it is enough to create a good and popular project. However, many developers collect money at the beginning on their promises, and most often they do not create anything. Did Nakamoto raise money to create Bitcoin? That is why everyone respects him, and does not like greedy developers.

That is why we must look very carefully to see how much money the team is planning to raise and if it's really needed for developing the project. Although I don't expect anyone to work for free raising something like 30 million is no go for me.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Unacceptable attitudes from new project teams on: November 04, 2020, 12:40:18 PM
Bounty managers of this forum it's time to wisen up, I know few bounty managers are already doing this but majority aren't,  top rated crypto projects that raised millions of dollars successfully are finding it very very hard to pay Bounty Hunters their tokens after all the hardwork talkless of med rated crypto projects, they feel reluctant to pay bounty hunters reward so I'm begging you guys to start compulsory Escrow, if every bounty managers they seek ask for Escrow they won't have any choice but to comply

I think some of the project teams are taking it for granted. They feel that they don't need that bounty hunters anymore after they have successfully raised money.
But I must say that not all are like that as they lose their trust if they fall back on their words.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Escrowed very important for bounty? on: November 02, 2020, 05:46:13 AM
Escrow definitely increases the chances that the hunters will get their tokens for their work but if the team and the project seem trustworthy I had be willing to take the risk and join their campaign even if it's not escrowed as not keeping their words will likely damage their reputation .
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do your own research before opting-in on: November 02, 2020, 05:43:12 AM
Be careful with altcoin bounties, they are mostly scam, I'm not saying all of them are but majority of them are not making sense, make sure you don't just join bounties without proper analysis, the most annoying ones are DeFi bounties, full of projects with no team information, do your part and save your time and energy.

Of course outline should spend some time and research carefully before deciding to join any bounty campaign .
Because even though they are not spending money they are spending a lot of time (atleast a month) for promoting the project and their reward depends on how well the project will do in future.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymous teams on: November 02, 2020, 05:40:34 AM
They have project that have annoymous team but they are legit because maybe they want their privacy but mostly of the annoymous team who have project are possible to become scam it's because people will never get idenity to them that can use against them but there is project are not annonymous but it still scam it depends to the purpose of the team but I suggest to invest to the team who is not annonymous for more chances that it legit.

While it is true that even the teams who have put out their teams have run away with investors money , the likelihood of it happening is very less and there is a chance that you can take legal action on them. But on invisible teams it's gone forever .
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Even huawei refused to be left out on: October 31, 2020, 12:25:27 PM
I guess PayPal crypto involvement is not the only thing to be excited about, huawei have announced that their upcoming Mate 40 smartphone series will include the following

1. Digital RMB hardware wallet
2. Hardware-level security
3. Controllable anonymity protection
4. Dual offline transactions

Link to full news: https://cointelegraph.com/news/new-huawei-smartphone-will-feature-a-hardware-wallet-for-digital-yuan

So what's your take?

The thing I am most interested is about is the built in hot wallet for digital RMB. There is something definitely brewing about the adoption of digital yuan in China .
Not just Huawei but also Samsung is building something in their mobiles for digital currency in relation with Blocko and Aergo.
Things are definitely looking good.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymous teams on: October 31, 2020, 12:22:35 PM
This time almost no one believes in projects with anonymous teams. When an investor wants to invest his or her money, they must know all the information about that project. There is no reason to hide team information.
You're right, investing without knowing team's identity is like throwing money through the window. Most anonymous projects are bad projects, gambling is better than investing in them.

Absolutely there is no point in investing in a project where the founders of the project don't want to disclose their identity. It raises a big question mark what are the team afraid of to reveal their identities ?
Is it their past or what they want to do in the future?
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Harvest Finance loses 34 million due to bug/hack on: October 31, 2020, 12:20:41 PM
another bad news come to crypto space,
and i think this news cause the red colour in crypto market now

That will not bring a bad name for crypto but it will do that for the name of defi. Remember about defi's reputation being ruined by the scammers and hackers. So many times the defi platforms were doing the rug pull and running away with all of money. In another case, there's also the hacked case that is happening right now.
The reputation of defi already destroyed. There's no way to recover it again.
This could be the end of defi itself.

While scammers and hackers will bring dear to the people who are trying to understand Defi , these sort of bugs which costs millions of dollars to disappear are the biggest fear for any retail investor or common man trying to get into Defi or its widespread adoption .

‘Engineering Error’ Led to $34 Million DeFi Hack, Harvest Finance Says

So apparently there was some clever hacker who stole a lot of money using a instant loan bug and swapped out a lot of money from the curve pool

Harvest Finance has announced 1 million bounty to anyone who helps track the hacker .

Are more Defi and staking projects suspectible to these kind of hacks ? How to be more safe ?

111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KUCOIN Hacked on: October 30, 2020, 08:44:39 AM
It's over the case of hacked Kucoin, Kucoin and the crypto market have left the case, and slowly recovery,
especially now that Kucoin is still in great demand by traders, I believe Kucoin is already responsible for this incident.
but if you want to leave Kucoin, go ahead, there are still many secure exchanges, such as Binance, Huobi and Bittrex.

The demand is not anymore as good as before, with this kind of news, I believe people will be looking to trade on bigger exchange only.
As what we have seen, there's a little FOMO that is happening but I'm surprise that overall trading volume of Kucoin is still below $100 million which is unusual.

While most projects have certainly helped kucoin by doing a token swap and reissue there are few projects which haven't done because of decentralized aspect of things and sadly kucoin is leaving them out to hang for dry.

It has been well over a month and they have not started withdrawal or come up with any plans to refund those users.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some things will never work in crypto world on: October 30, 2020, 08:36:26 AM
There are some useless or not actually needed use cases in crypto space that will never work anytime sooner in crypto world, few project developers actually thought they can make them work but they are wrong.

1. VR (Virtual Reality) projects
2. A.I (Artificial intelligence) Projects
3. Green energy Blockchain projects ( probably built to extort money)
4. Gold backed tokens (two to three works but majority are scam)

If you think I'm wrong please give your reasons

To be honest I don't know when we are going to see virtual reality in full scale. They are still under emerging technology and combining it with a other emerging tech might be too far .
Same can be said about AI projects as well.
Gold backed projects are okay as long as they can prove that they have real gold to back it up.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I believe this is the way on: October 29, 2020, 07:44:09 AM
We all want to be rich in crypto space, I get it but there is possibility that what we want to achieve may not come to past when we plan only to hold coins and tokens for years but how about

Buy a coin and hold like you intended but take profits when the coin shoot for the sky and buy back when the coin dumps, crypto is like a circle, there will be pumps and there will be dumps, in that process of taking profits and buying back you will end up wining both ways, whatever happens you won't entirely lose out.

Think about it

What you are talking about is pretty obvious and sounds too easy but the real problem is in identifying what is really the sky for nay project?

What if you turn out to have sold out at a mini pump ? It all depends on the type of project that you are invested in , if it's a just a hype small term project or a project that focuses on the longer run.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What the hell are Crypto kitties? on: October 29, 2020, 07:40:52 AM
Cryptokitties is a game uses ethereum’s smart contracts to enable trades between owners of the kitties. And its first shot into limelight was in the last t November after traffic from its users flooded ethereum’s blockchain. The game involves breeding of digital cats to generate progeny that become valued collectibles. Kitties are purchased using ether, ethereum’s native token.

While the era of crypto kitties seem to be well and truly behind us after the bull run in 2018 there has been a lot of talk about Nft and gaming especially involving card games and collectibles.

You can say crypto kitties was the pioneer of this some years back but I am personally not a collector so don't follow it.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it time to invest in Polkadot? on: October 29, 2020, 07:38:04 AM
The polkadot ecosystem which is a large one and too complex to understand (atleast for me ) is really interesting and they bare building it to be the foundation of web 3.0 and they have already established a large fund for donations for web 3.0
But the price seems too high for my liking to invest before looking at how the ecosystem develops.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Exchange KuCoin and KuCoin shares on: October 26, 2020, 08:21:44 AM
I thinks hacks like that sometimes happens I hope they learn from that but the issue here I think will be to bring KCS back to maybe 1$ I have a huge bag and the hack affected its price but still I think with their poolz Kucoin is still good to use if you like CEX
KCS has already started to go back again to the $1 and I have been buying a lot of KCS when there were so many FUD in the kucoin telegram group regarding the hacked case.

KCS has already successfully recovered a lot of money from the stolen amounts by the hackers.
This exchange site is still safe to be used by anyone.

Kucoin hav cooperated with a lot of the projects to do a token swap and thereby prevented the loss of the users money . But there are some projects which haven't agreed to do a token swap and kucoin is still dragging the case by suspending the trading and not allowing withdrawal.
I hope this gets sorted out soon.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you invested for Attractive projects?? on: October 26, 2020, 08:18:05 AM
Again I'm looking for an European project , Project name is "HEIDICOIN" .  in my experience  This project is quite attractive project than other projects . What i mean by "attractive" is

  • Website
  • Whitepaper
  • Roadmap (so far, they have done according to the roadmap )
  • Registered company in switzerland
  • Team members
  • Business Model and Revenue Model

So, I analyzed for 3 weeks about this project and i couldn't find a bug ..  and they have on CMC as well (token price is in between for last 3 months 20$-50$)
And what i want to know from you is ,
[Their TRADING BEGINS NOVEMBER 1, 2020 ON COINSBIT.IO]

should i  invest for this project on this november?

COINSBIT.IO is a good one for invest money?

Do you trust registered companies in switzerland?

Don't go by the attractiveness or the gimmicks that are in the website or how fast the website loads or how intuitive the website is.

Read through the white paper find out the token economics , see if it solves a existing problem.that needs solving.
See if the problem will exist in a couple of years time.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good ICO vs Bad ICO on: October 26, 2020, 08:14:52 AM
Honestly speaking it's not just on the bounty managers if the project fails to succeed or fails to pay up the bounty hunters.

They are just a medium of marketing and they try to do their job finally the project members actions  decide if the project is going to be successful or not.
119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Blockchain a Good Career? on: October 23, 2020, 07:11:15 AM
For people who are much into technical and programming can prefer it to be a good carrier. There are people who have learned thyself and turned to be blockchain developers in few months time. Blockchain development has got more demand, even the people who are into programming doesn't have much idea about it. One who practice and has the mind to learn continuously can give importance to blockchain as a carrier.

Since we are all expecting blockchain technology to take over the world in the forum there is no doubt that blockchain technical experts will be in heavy demand throughout the world much like how it is for AI, Machine learning and big data.
120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon's ( "Bitcon is a scam") Bank -JP Morgan Chase- Fined 1 Billion on: October 23, 2020, 07:06:54 AM
Well what do you know, more scams from one of the worlds most corrupt and immoral banks and their CEO Jamie Dimon.  Many of you of course remember how Jamie Dimon came out and called Bitcoin a scam. The funny thing is the day he came out and said this Chase Bank trader made moves to take advantage of the price drop.

Once again his bank gets caught for fraudulent trading activities. So I ask, what's really the scam..bitcoin or traditional banks such as JP Morgan Chase

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/09/23/jpmorgan-to-pay-almost-1-billion-fine-to-resolve-us-investigation-into-trading-practices.html

It's not something which is unknown or unexpected to be fair. Traditional banks have long been laundering money and involved in fradulent activities and they get fined in billions of dollars. They only want to avoid decentalised currencies because it threatens them.
