3141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good time to buy ETH now? on: January 19, 2018, 01:35:02 PM
If you look at the story Bitcoin yesterday, of course you can see yourself ETH also get a big DUMP, but when bitcoin price back up but ETH there has been no significant movement. It looks like ETH is preparing a new PUMP in early August. I think it's a good time to buy and hold ETH.

I agree. I think I have seen an article that has the same idea and speculation. Eth has been one of the altcoins around the market that has been creating positive buzz and noise. Its developers has been eyeing for many plans to pump the coin up, and I think that is a good indication that an increase in value would happen soon. Therefore, while the prices are down, it would be a good time to buy and hold a good amount of Eth for future investment. But, even if there was a speculation that August would be the month it starts to rise, you should put a cushion of one or two months because it doesn't always go our way.
3142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ICOs become regulated in Europe? on: January 18, 2018, 02:51:11 PM
Do you think we will see certain restrictions investing in ICOs for European based investors? I'm considering to go full time focusing on ICOs investments and it would be a shame if ICOs become banned. Thank you for sharing your opinion on this, much appreciated

Potentially ICOs could be banned. Unfortunately banning becomes a trend today, cause nobody wants to calm down people who loose their money.
But banning will create investment money outflow. Some countries may use such bans and benefit by bringing attractive regulations.
Cyprus was an offshore for a long period of time even in European Union.

I agree. I think that there is a chance for that to happen because European countries has been spreading word how they want to regulate cryptocurrency use. I think they have started with becoming a little more strict with cryptos when they deemed mining illegal in some countries. I think that they are just trying to safeguard their people from unwanted scams since they think that the cryptocrurency market could be used to do illegal ways. Therefore, there is always a chance for ICOs to be banned as well as they become stricter with regulations.
3143  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin get to drop to $5,000 and below in 2018 on: January 18, 2018, 02:31:12 PM
With the massive drop (bearish) in bitcoin in the past few days (January 2018)
Is it possible for the Bitcoin community to witness another bearish that can make bitcoin drop to $5,000 and below.

Kindly comment from the point of:
The power of the government and their regulation
vs
The oneness voice and power of the people (community) to withstand any unlawful regulations and manipulations

Well, I know that bitcoin is falling right now. It's price have decreased for a substantial 36% this passed few weeks, and I am sure that many marketers and investors have been having sleepless nights because of it. I think, however, that many of them are underestimating bitcoin by saying that it would fall that low. Bitcoin has reached new heights in value since last year, and I think that when it penetrated the 10k dollars mark, it really solidified its potential as a cryptocurrency, and more people have been eyeing it since then.
3144  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your trading strategy? on: January 18, 2018, 01:58:36 PM
My strategy is simple, buy when the price goes down and sell when the price goes up. I do a 50/50 split keep fiat on an exchange incase price moves to levarage against bitcoin dropping. The bitcoin I have on localbtc

I agree. I do the same mate. I think when the prices are going down instead of thinking negative stuff, the best plan of action is to look ahead and buy good coins to hold to be traded in the future for profit. That's how the market works; you have to accept that assets go up and down, and there is a reason why that happens. In every trade and investment market, like the stockmarket, some assets even the strongest go down and have times of weakness, thus, it is the best time expand your holdings because buying low is always the best plan when trading for profit.
3145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you ❤️ crypto??? on: January 18, 2018, 01:43:38 PM
crypto change my financial for now,, i become a free man without bos,
and thats why i love crypto my friends

We're in the same boat. I like the cryptomarket because it helps me gain additional profit to support all my needs. I am juggling work, school, and all other things in between right now, and honestly, my funds are not enough to support them all, which I mainly get from my full-time job. Since I have been introduced to the bitcoin market, it gave me the freedom to save a little or at least allocate some money to things I couldn't before. That gives me a little financial freedom and a way for me to enjoy my money instead of placing it all to my necessities.
3146  Economy / Economics / Re: Do bitcoin millonaires deserve their wealth? on: January 18, 2018, 01:27:36 PM
Yes i think they deserve what are they now and what do they have now. They've been workhard for it , put a lot of patience and they wait for a long time for bitcoin to rise, they 100% deserve it unless they did illegal to made them millionaire. It is fair , i guess they just play it in early stage so they come up being millionaires.

I mean, why would you think that they don't deserve it. Even if they got it due to luck or some great twist of faith, you can't still say that it is unfair that they are rich and you are not. Many rich people out their fought tooth and nail to get to the point where they are now using what they have or their skills in the beginning. I think if you have the right mindset and if you invest all the time and effort to achieve it, then every person has a chance of becoming rich.
3147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC or ETH in 2018 on: January 18, 2018, 01:05:27 PM
ethereum currently has a high price movement and is very fast. but bitcoin becomes one of the coins in cryptocurrency which has the most expensive price. I think both eth and btc coins have good potential in 2018.

I agree. Ethereum has been having a lot of buzz and noise lately, and although there has been no price ups, significantly at least, it is one of those coins that has been very reliable and enduring despite all the market chaos that has been happening as of late. Even bitcoin is succumbing to the market movements falling about 36% already this last few weeks. Also, I have read many write-ups regarding the developer of Ethereum having plans to pump their coin, which is also a good sign for it to continuously rise.
3148  Economy / Economics / Re: 99% of the people still think that fiat money are better than crypto on: January 18, 2018, 09:37:26 AM
I was talking with a friend of mine about cryptocurrencies and he said: "Cryptocurrencies are anonymous?Nothing on the internet is anonymous.Having a bunch of dollars or euro in the pocket is the most anonymous way to store money. Grin"
Damn, now i think that he is right and fiat money are still way more convenient ,despite all the inflation, banks monopoly and control. From my personal experiense 99% of the people refuse to believe in bitcoin and refuse to adopt it in their daily life.Any opinions?

As far as I am concerned, what we have right now is the freedom of choice as there is a new form of money we can use for many intent and purposes...meaning we are not anymore limited with the fiat money. Personally speaking, I have no problem with the fiat money and there is no need to say that it would soon die because there will always be many people who can not use new technology and we have to respect them for their choice. Can you just imagine a woman who is already 85 and you insist that she should be using the crypto form of money instead of the paper bills she might have in her purse? That would tantamount to be an insult.

There is no need to choose one over the other because both have advantages and disadvantages and that is a big reality we have to accept in life: there is no perfect invention ever and all are subject to change that is why we always say that there is always some room for improvement. We have to remember that there is no law or any moral code for that matter dictating that we should be prioritizing the digital form of money over its printed counterpart. In other words, we can have both and I think this is quite true with all people here in the Bitcoin community. We have Bitcoin and we also have the traditional paper money. No need to dismiss one in favor of the other one.

Great point. I agree. Fiat is still a more reliable medium of payment and investment compared to cryptocurrencies. That is the reason why many are still more comfortable and believes in it as well. I think for us who believe in the new age currency cryptocurrencies are offering, there is nothing wrong with some people siding on the negative because there will always be people like that. I think as more and more changes are brought about by the cryptocurrency market, it would also insight change to so many people.
3149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin uptrend now? on: January 18, 2018, 08:48:49 AM
market is green today. Do you think the uptrend is coming?
Do I should invest some?

You should have invested when the market is down like what happened yesterday. Yesterday, the whole crypto market is on sale. Now, the price have already recovered. We cannot tell yet if this will continue to be a bull market. We can only hope. This can still go down since FUD is not yet over.

I agree. It follows the age-old concept of "buy low, sell high". By doing this, you get to have more assets in your holding that you have bought for a meager amount rather than spending too much capital in a coin, wherein your money can only buy some amount. By buying coins, both bitcoin and altcoin alike, when the market is down, it gives you more chances of buying high quantities of coins, or on the other hand, buying more kinds of coins, thus, diversifying your holdings. In the cryptomarket, you always have to be updated with the current news, and you have to always make calculated moves, or else, the market will eat you up since it's always changing.
3150  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World's smartest ethnic group on: January 18, 2018, 08:23:38 AM
Which group is the world's most smart ethnic group? I guess it is Jews.
Any different thought on this?

I agree. I think they have invaded many facets of our society in a good way and have excelled in their various fields. Nowadays, I mostly hear exploits of Jews in the music, art and movie industry. I am actually surprised sometimes hearing that one famous person is of Jewish descent. I think that it diversifies their ethnic culture into the world, which is a paved way for other minorities or ethic groups to follow suit. It breaks the stigma of people believing ethnic groups are somehow viewed less compared to the majority groups.
3151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do we trade Bitcoin if internet goes down? on: January 18, 2018, 08:03:54 AM
face to face trades? Of course there must be a way to broadcast the transaction anyways. And as said on previous topics, if there is no internet service, we probably have bigger things to worry about.

Well that could be an option, but it would be so difficult and ineffective to do that. I mean, one of the key features of the cryptomarket is the fact that you can do transactions even if you're worlds apart just like any internet-based transactions, although transfer can be made offline, that would surely cripple the system since most transactions and exchanges done in the cryptomarket is predicated in the use of the internet. Therefore, even if it won't go down totally, the usage rate would surely be slowed down significantly.
3152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the decline continue? on: January 18, 2018, 07:21:20 AM
I feel this is a good opportunity. Do not know the next will decline? Wait again or start?
What do you mean decline? this crash? this is just temporary this is the perfect time to go alts shopping, wait for few days the market will recover fast and will give you easy money.

I agree. Since everything or the major ones at least are declining, it would be the perfect time to hoard and buy tokens for future disposal. It's a common market move that many traders do, so instead of panicking and gushing over it, the better move is look out for the coins with big potential and try to get some of them for either short term or long term investment. I think, many people are underestimating the power and capacity of the cryptocurrency market.
3153  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hold or Sell on: January 18, 2018, 07:05:36 AM
today the price of BTC is down by -36%.
For those of you Bitcoin owners what are your plans in these circumstances?
  • Hold your Bitcoin?
  • Selling Your Bitcoin?
and would you like to give me a reason. thanks. Smiley

i will say Hold if you don't need fiat badly, reason for that, i don't see why you will sell your bitcoin at the current market price, bitcoin provide over the years that people who hold make the most profit

I agree. Holding is very critical at this point. It is not a smart move to actually get rid of your bitcoin holding because the profit most likely would be way less, or worse, not be there at all. It is also a common market move for seasoned traders and investors to hold onto their bitcoin when its not doing well, being patient until such time it will gain traction and rise up again. Knowing how bitcoin moved in the past, I think that this dump may take some months before it again regains its strength back.
3154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 7000$ to invest for 2018 on: January 17, 2018, 05:35:27 PM
Those may be better opportunities but I would put at least some of those funds into the top 5 marketcap coins. It is safer and will provide less return but you won't be worried about your coins all the time and for peace of mind I will pay for that gladly. Take 2k and throw it at BTC, ETH, LTC in my opinion the rest can go to strong alts.

I agree. Why not use say half of them in bitcoin, but wait a little until the prices go down a bit until its the perfect time to buy and hold. While for the other half, you csn invest them to altcoins like the one stated on the list with a dew additional like Waves, Sumocoin, Stellar, Ripple and all other low priced but high potential coins.
3155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell all alts for Bitcoin while it's down? on: January 17, 2018, 01:53:50 PM
If your Altcoin has not taken too much hit already,  and provided your Altcoin is not ethereum of course you can sell your Altcoin for Bitcoin.  If your Altcoin is ether however it will be a big mistake if you sell.

That's one consideration to think of, but I think that selling "all" is not a good move. In the cryptocurrency market, holding a diverse selection of coins help you to actually have more potential profit. Also, there are some altcoins out there that might yield good profit too, since there is an expectation in the market block that bitcoin would soon be stable and hold its current value for a while. Therefore, if you would dispose your altcoins to get bitcoin, you should also be ready and patient to wait until bitcoin gains traction and increases value again.
3156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best altcoins to invest this year on: January 17, 2018, 01:20:11 PM
I think the best coins to get involved with in 2018 are going to be privacy coins and coins that focus on faster transactions with big block sizes and perhaps even zero fees. Basically the things that bitcoin struggle with other coins will pick up the slack and these coins will do quite well in my opinion.

Following on this, I feel like DeepOnion and Komodo have large growth potential, both privacy coins (although deeponion is a much smaller market cap), so I'd try either.

I have been hearing a lot about these two altcoins as of late. I think, with enough study, it would be worth it to give it a try. On the one hand, I would suggest the usual powerhouse when it comes to altcoins, I would say that Eth and Waves for long term investments. LTC, Ripple and Stellar for short term investments. The altcoins on my list are some with the best possible chances of success despite the market generally going down right now, which is casting a lot of fear to a lot of cryptocurrency followers.
3157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MARKET IS CRASHING : WHAT'S YOUR THOUGHTS ? on: January 17, 2018, 10:53:11 AM

Good read. I have that bad feeling as well that the market is beginning to crash, after I saw in an article how an investment bubble plays out and slowly dies out. I saw a graph of how it would be gain value, stabilize, and then, lose it and die out. I felt weary seeing the very similar route bitcoin is taking right now. However, upon reading other sources, I have come to think that the market is just changing and evolving. It's not so bad to see this fluctuations because there are similarities to past happenings. I think bitcoin will regain it's value after it stabilizes, and hopefully, it would increase in value again.
3158  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it time to buy some BTC? on: January 17, 2018, 10:08:36 AM
Yes. It is time to buy BTC. When the issue of Korea official statement settles, the price will high up again. Predictions are that BTC will hit $100,000 this year, remember.

I think it is, bitcoin's price point has been dwindling this past several weeks. It has dropped down a significant $9,000 dollars in the previous three weeks. Having that trend, you can either wait a little more, or if you have enough capital to shed out, especially if you're eyeing a long term investment. Then, it would be the perfect time to buy because if we follow the market trends before, bitcoin is one asset that doesn't fall down that long, thus we only waiting for it to catch fire and increase again.
3159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty or Airdrop? on: January 17, 2018, 09:53:33 AM
Usually you earn tokens worth very little with airdrops (but you don't need to do actual work). Bounties it depends, I have earned very little sometimes (worthless) or I have been pleasingly surprised with more than USD 500 worth of tokens. I only do bounties for projects I like and invest myself, it is a way to earn more tokens you like on top of your investment, like the cream on top of the pie.

That's true. Also, I think many prefer bounty, because with it, at least you have the chance and capability to control what you can probably earn. Unlike in airdrops where you have to wait and see how much would you get. Plus, airdrops are just company schemes to saturate the market with their coins, so generally, they won't give out a lot to one person because they want the quantity of having more people hold their coins or tokens. Also, there has been many bad happenings with airdrops being used by companies or people to steal information and get other people's holdings.
3160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why 99% Alt Coin Will Fail? A Case Study on: January 17, 2018, 09:23:28 AM
Well, Recently I have noticed Alt coin market saturated, If you visit the Alt coin announcement or bounty, you will notice every hour, there is a new coin announcement.

So my question is, how many % of those new alt coin survive in long run? let's say 1 year? 2 years? or even 5 years?

99% of them will fail within first year. Here's why:

1. People making millions of crypto currency, we can make it, lets make a coin.
2. People have no idea, what they are getting in, and how to run a company or organization.
3. People wants easy money.
4. No reputable organization or company behind the idea.
5. Most of people under 25, wanaa be entrepreneur, without any background or knowledge.
6. Most of the alt coin start with ICO, expecting to collect millions of dollar from it, without any capital.
7. How many new alt coin company can run of 20 to 25 dev team? not many.
8. Without zero marketing idea, or how to market the coin.
9. When coin price doesn't go up in couple of months, they give up.
10. If we can list on exchanges, we will get rich!

And list goes on... Post your opinion, why 99% alt coin will fail?

The rest of 1% Alt coin will survive beyond 2020 because >
1. They have a purpose and ambition.
2. They don't go after money, rather working hard to maintain back end.
3. Strong Development team, who knows what they are doing.
4. Keeping touch with social media, updating every move and letting investors know, they are in good hand.
5. Trust factor, you have to show that public will trust you.
6. Regularly have conference, at least twice a year and update investor, what's going on.
7. A clear road map, and actually follow it.
8. Thinking long term.
9. Hire actual marketing people rather than depends on this forum only.
10. There are million of people who doesn't use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, you have to learn how to reach them.
11. Stop depending on Social media, We all know 70% people use social media is under 25 and they are student. They are not investor.
12. Try to connect your coin with any company, or organization, no matter how small it is.
13. Go slow, don't worry about your price, worry about your project and stability.
14. Hire online entrepreneur or even a YouTube star, if your audience is young and target market under 25.

I can go on and on but these are my opinion to be a successful in this field.

Good read. However, you should have included your sources. I think anyone given some facts and guides could state that all altcoins has the tendency or the potential to die out after some years. But, I would say that people had the same speculation and idea about bitcoin when it started; they were quite pessimistic about it, and many have actually believed prematurely that it won't succeed, but look at it now. I think that every coin in the market, altcoin for that matter has that potential to fail, but it also has the potential to succeed, if all factors would converge to help it do so.
