3341  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you see trading as fun and games? on: December 02, 2017, 03:49:40 PM
It's very difficult to do it while having fun, but I think a lot of people are happy to trade, not as a game, but to earn more income than their income. well, this is not like gaming and having fun, but this can be said to work.
Yeah i agree with you..i think it is not the word fun. It should be "enjoy" because if you like of what you are doing and you love it then you are enjoying it. And ofcourse just because it is a serious matter i did not treat it as a game or having fun on it because my earnings/profit was depend on how i treat and take it as my source of income.

There can still be an element of fun in trading. I think the fun and enjoyable part there is doing your moves that would result to something good or something fruitful for you coin holdings. It is always fun to earn money and win through your own devised strategy.
3342  Economy / Speculation / Re: what you think about bitcoin in like 5 years? on: December 02, 2017, 02:38:57 PM
bitcoin is five years time in my opinion there will be a lot of hard forks from the original bitcoin blockchain and the value of bitcoin would increase by 300 percent today's price. if transaction's speed and price remains the same, bitcoin's not improving and maybe the price wont grow that much

I'm very optimistic about future of bitcoin.
2 years ago value of bitcoin was only $200 and last year around $700.
Today, even with this recent big drop, btc price is still much higher than last year.
So, regardless of the occasional higher falls, bitcoin prices are constantly increasing every year.
I expect that such trend will continue and that we will reach price of $10 000 very soon Smiley

I am hoping for the same too. Five years is just a short time if you would look at the big picture. I think bitcoin can last and would actually climb to a better position both in marketability and value. It has been around for 9 years now, and I think that its rise would be quicker as the knowledge about crypto deepens for many people.
3343  Economy / Economics / Re: I have 12 BTC in my Account, How should I invest this?? on: December 02, 2017, 08:42:24 AM
options that you have:
* hold it until after the halving
* start trading bitcoin/usd or bitcoin/altcoin
* invest in casino bankroll
* give loans here or on btcjam
* search the forum for where to invest Cheesy
*** research before you invest

Simple but pretty straight off good advice. Right now, the price of bitcoin is climbing at a staggering phase, thus it would be a good move to hold your coins and trade it for when bitcoin gain even more value. But if you want an active way of earning, it would be best to invest in a business or have it loaned for interest.
3344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin or Ethereum on: December 01, 2017, 11:50:50 PM
I'm leaning more towards ethereum. Its price is falling right now, however it is projected to increase significantly until the end of 2018. Due to the falling price there might be a good buying opportunity right now.

I think like most of the replies many would suggest Eth because the price right now is more affordable than that of bitcoins; however, in the aspect of profit, you won't gain as much because the climb of its value is not as significant.  Bitcoin on the other hand commands a very high price point right now, and although it is a good time as well to invest, the capital you need to shed may be bigger, but if the value would increase steadily, it would have a more promising return of investment.
3345  Economy / Economics / Re: Will bitcoin change the distribution of wealth in the world? on: December 01, 2017, 11:35:29 PM
Does anyone have information whether bitcoin would distribute wealth more equally across people than the current wealth distribution?

Or would the distribution be even more unfair?

It relies to the decision of the people who are involve with the distribution of wealth. It can be unfair for some that will get a small portion of that "wealth" we are talking about and it's a big advantage for those people that will get a bigger portion since the price of bitcoin is not stable and keeps on moving from time to time. So the fairness is still depending on the people who are in that distribution as I mentioned.

Good point. I also think that the wealthy, unfortunately, has more capacity through capital to be used to invest in this market of cryptocurrency, especially now that it keeps on soaring in terms of value. I can say that the distribution won't be that much affected, but what will be are the people that have more assets because bitcoin actually makes the gap closer between small and big players in the market.
3346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes a altcoin valuable on: December 01, 2017, 11:21:29 PM
Actual usage of the coin in question is what makes it really valuable, there needs to be demand for it not only by investors but by actual users.
You're saying that you're building a coin based on social sharing. Care to elaborate on that?

Why do you think people need the coin that you're designing? What problem does it solve?

Well, I think one of the most important features of altcoin is it gives flavor to the crypto market. Although at the moment it js never really visible because of bitcoin's staggering rise in value. The trade market works because of these differences in price that people play with to earn a profit. Also, it is a way for companies to start up and have people invest on them.
3347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is draining the altcoins on: December 01, 2017, 10:51:25 PM
Price of altcoins is dropping, nearly 85% of altcoins suffer from the recent bitcoin boom because most people exchange their coins for bitcoins.
What is your thought on this matter?
Well there is no suprise about this, the cryptocurrency market is all centered around the big one, every one is working to get bitcoin because in people's eyes bitcoin is the only successfull coin, poeple only started to use altcoins just when mining bitcoin started becoming more and more difficult, so mining other altcoin with a less difficulty than bitcoin with a much lower coast machines is much profitable than dierectly mining bitcoin, and of course they do all this just to be able to exchange it to bitcoin so they can get even more profit, because everyone knows that altcoins are very unpredictibale and could crash at any time because they have a much smaller user base than bitcoin.

I think this is only a temporary set up because the price of bitcoin is soaring right now. It holds true that bitcoin may affect altcoins negatively, but it won't die for the reason that altcoins is the main agent that gives flavor to the bitcoin market. There will come a time that alts would adjust with the movement and trend of bitcoin.
3348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Large Investment into Ethereum? on: December 01, 2017, 10:21:39 PM
Yes, you are right. if you want to invest even more money, I think ethereum is the right choice. although now the ethereum price is up more than $ 100 but I don't think it will go down drastically. The probability is down to $ 350, and I think this year the ethereum will reach $ 500, then next year could be over $ 1000 if seen from more and more people using ethereum and investing their money. ethereum is one of the best altcoin in my opinion.

Ethereum has been one, if not, the stable and strongest altcoins available in the market. There was even a time that it became the second leading in value, second only to bitcoin. Also, what makes it the best time to invest in altcoin is the fact that bitcoin price is soaring, thus it can purchase a lot of alts.

That's right. Whenever there are posts about "predictions" with the value of bitcoin. It is always hard to answer knowing the volatility of its value. Although it is riding a good sprint right now that led to a 10k dollar mark in price. It is still hard to say what the ceiling is or how long it will run. But the probable value would be around 15-18k depending on the market trend.
3350  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Evolution is a hoax on: December 01, 2017, 08:28:43 PM
There has been no definite evidence to prove these theories at all. Shouldn't all monkeys have evolved to being man by now.

Man evolved from a species of monkeys which for some reason felt the need to get down from the trees and walk the earth. Everything else was triggered by this. The rest of the monkeys didn't need to get down to the ground and you can see most of them living happily up there in the tree tops to this day. It was probably some circumstance specific to where the proto-humans lived and which wasn't present anywhere else. Just the same way as there are amazonian tribes who still haven't set foot into the 11th, let alone the 21th century.

The evolution process actually took millions of years, and it is due to many different prevailing circumstances then that may or may not exist now. That's the thing about evolution. It is not always the same because it can be affected by so many different factors.
3351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Altcoins match up to Bitcoins on: December 01, 2017, 08:14:08 PM
Other Alternative cryptocurrencies are being launched day in day out. Would these Altcoins be widely accepted as Bitcoins?
If matchup with bitcoin is what you said , i don't think that any altcoins can matchup what bitcoin has achieve now. There are many alternative cryptocurrencies that are being launches and introduce in the crypto world but no altcoins can matchup the bitcoin. They can be accepted like neo , ltc , omg, dash , bch , eth as coins. But the achievement of bitcoin , they are far ahead to match it up.

For now, I don't think any altcoin in the market even the best of them can match bitcoin, both in value and in marketability. Many see bitcoin now as the best emerging cryptocurrency as it commands a very high price point these days. However, we should not forget that bitcoin took a long road before reaching this remarkable feat, thus it can also be possible for altcoins to experience the same.
3352  Economy / Speculation / Re: $11k - when do you sell on: December 01, 2017, 07:38:39 PM
do you sell now in order to get a cheaper entry soon?
I am not against selling now, whenever one got hefty sum of profit is the right time to sell. Don't get caught up with your greed because if you hold for too long, then you would have to hold it for another long period of time. Do not hesitate to sell if there is a hefty sum of profit already. Just always remember to rebuy bitcoin whenever it corrects or dumps. If you have not profit big yet, then better hold that until the goal profit is reached.

That's correct and if you are making good profits then you should sell your bitcoins without waiting too long as we may see price drop in next couple of days or weeks and if you don't sell now then you will regret when you see downfall in the price as you always have an opportunity to buy at low price when price will fall in future so if you have bought bitcoins at low price in the past then this is the right time to sell bitcoins.

I think it would continuously rise in value like most of the replies suggest; however, in the aspect of selling, I think it would depend on how much profit you want to get or, in your own appraisal, what return is enough, but an important consideration is how much you bought or got the coins. If you got it for a low price then it is a good time to sell.
3353  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin Legality in India on: December 01, 2017, 07:00:46 PM
Will bitcoins be recognized by the Indian Government ?

Bitcoins are already legalized by the Indian government just few months ago and most of the Asian countries are started to legalizing bitcoins after India made bitcoin legal in their country. The current president of India want to go cashless economy so they are encouraging all their countries in India. And If you want to buy bitcoins in Indian currency you can buy them st localbitcoins.com because one of my friend from India trading bitcoins through localbitcoins exchange and Indian traders giving us best offers for us than other parts of world.

I agree with the reply, based on my readings, India has already legalized bitcoin, and actually, India has the largest holding of bitcoin and is one of the countries that has the biggest bitcoin value. I mean India has been known in the tech industry for quite a while now, no wonder they have already delve deep into the bitcoin market considering it's rise in value and popularity these days.http://
3354  Other / Politics & Society / Re: GOD.. on: December 01, 2017, 06:37:13 PM
God what are you looking at? Cheesy Cheesy..

Do a topic about the sky falling in and no one cares do a topic about GOD and this topic lights up ..
Just shows how CRAZY humans are..

I will be counting the religious crazies who have a peek ..

Nothing to see like no gods to see.. Wink

god is provider king of kings and salvation savior..

He is the true epitome of love. The most respected and highest yet the humblest in human form. He is the one and the saviour

This is actually a very critical topic. You can get a million opinions and views from a million angles from a million people. I mean, the religion topic has been going for forever every since the birth of the first religion. Whether God is real or not or how God should be honored in our lives has always been a few of the biggest questions. I think whatever your belief is; what's important is the fact that you live your life similar with God. You should live without harming others.
3355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is holding bitcoin Greedy? on: December 01, 2017, 03:00:16 PM
Bitcoin is still undervalued so its price can go anywhere over $100k in next decade or so if there will be no any catastrophic event till than.
However just holding bitcoin for long term might not give you the same amount which you can make by actively trading them during large pumps and dumps but it is quite hard to learn how to guess perfect get in and exit points.

What does this have to do with greed? Please stop spam posting.

If holding is greedy, the counterbalance would be if charity. Giving something away for those less fortunate. It doesn't have to be giving your bitcoin away, but you could give anything away that will help others and balance your greed for bitcoin with your charity of other things.

I agree. I think greed doesn't really come into play in this topic since holding is as legit as any business move around. If that's the way you want your bitcoins to dealt or invested, then by all means. Although it may have counterproductive results because it may affect how the market trends play out, it would still depend on the person holding such coins.
3356  Economy / Economics / Re: One Bitcoin, $10,000. Ten Thousand Dollars. on: December 01, 2017, 02:45:14 PM
I won't say with confidence that the $10K mark has been reached unless we reach that level and manage to stay there for some time. People are very likely to dump and cash out once we hit $10K , so I think it will be some time unless we are past the $10K mark for good.

Your view is seems like you are a trader. I see that many people try to get the bitcoin value to be bumped more in the chart. When will be the time we find the 10k in the chart we might again get the price correction and it may touched to 7k or even low in the price chart.

I am really confuse about this bull run. We found last time bitcoin value down to 6k on hard fork time but again we see the bitcoin price is now as 9.6k USD. What is the reason for the price bump we are seeing now?

What my worry about this sudden rise is if it will also experience a sudden fall. I mean, like the reply above states, just last week, it's only in the 6-7k mark, but now, seemingly all of a sudden, it's in the 10k mark and soaring. I fear that as the prices continue to go up, more and more people would hoard their coins that would affect the market negatively, especially the altcoin market, which is the main driving force for ICOs.
3357  Economy / Economics / Re: Alt coin price manipulation is much easier than with BTC on: December 01, 2017, 02:11:17 PM
Something that became more evident this last week is that Alt coin price pumping/manipulation is MUCH easier than Bitcoin BTC. It only took Roger Ver and his shills a few days to super pump Bitcoin Cash with more than 100%. To have the same effect with BTC, you will have to get most of the BTC whales to act together and this is no easy task.

There are also more BTC exchanges to manipulate than Bitcoin Cash or Alt coin exchanges, so these Alt coin whales can concentrate their efforts for better results on only 1 or 2 exchanges where these coins are traded.

This is going to happen a lot more now, since this was such a huge success for these Pumpers, so be wary.  Roll Eyes

Sadly you're right. Its chaos this past weekend and many people gave in to panic and jumped wagon while things are running wild with bch. Seems we just have to learn to ride what these whales are cooking up

Yes, especially when the altcoin is in its starting stages. I think many people are already doing that pumping more value to the coins to make it rise in price. Bitcoin is way harder to control because it is circulated well in the market, it's not like only a few holders are holding the coins unlike the case in altcoins. Another difference is that people have different techniques in using their bitcoins as supposed to altcoin holders.
3358  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investing all my savings! on: December 01, 2017, 01:36:39 PM
Hello guys! I am planning on investing all my savings (12500$) in cryptocurrency, so I would really like to hear your opinion. My current plan is to split it in to 3 :
-50% bitcoin.
-25% ethereum.
-25% litecoin.

I am investing the money at the next dip.
Please post your opinion guys.

Edit: I should mention that this is for a longtherm hold, about 5-10 years

Sorry for my bad english, but I am better reading it than writing it.. :p

i think investing all saving in trading is not good idea. because in trading has up and downs so you have to take step very carefully. all the money investing in bit coin is not good. you have to invest few amount of money in trading it is good idea. but total money investing is not good. for that reason i would like to explain you you have to few amount of money only in trading.

I agree. "ALL" is the operative word here, you should risk all your savings to a business, even if it has high chance of succeeding and high return because you can never tell how the market trends would go, which can either make or break your business, thus putting your investing in danger. Save some for future use, or test the market before investing a lot.
3359  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where I can learn Bitcoin Trading? on: December 01, 2017, 12:20:08 PM
You can learn about it here on this section, on google, youtube... The basic of trading everybody knows, but there are some tricks to know when it's the time to buy, when it's the time to sell. Despite many people say to make a lot of profit with this practical, I still think it involves risk also like gambling games, so don't think you will be rich in short time or that you will double your money everyday.

That's right. Many people learned just via the internet. You can either check some tutorial videos on youtube or other video-provider site, another is checking on specific websites that post different information about bitcoin trading, another one is in this forum or other fora, where many people share their trading experiences and knowledge, lastly, and the best, by experience, once you delve more into the trading market, then you would certainly learn more about its ins and outs.
3360  Local / Pilipinas / Re: BITCOIN ONLINE SHOP on: December 01, 2017, 10:47:44 AM

I agree. You can add bitcoin as a means to pay; however, in terms of your capital, you still need to have money to fund for it, since not very many shops accept bitcoin as payment for their services or products. I mean, as a printing shop, you need heavy duty heat press printers, computers for lay-outs and all other effects for the business. That's where you need money for.
