3401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think? on: November 21, 2017, 02:35:10 PM
Do you think the richest families or personalities in the world would be interested in using bitcoins??
And if so, would that be a good thing for us small people or negative??
I mean rich people are capabale of so much things, so it makes me wonder..

I think, it's not just a possibility, but it's already a reality. I think the richest and most powerful persons have seen the potential of how bitcoins could change the market landscape. The high price point it commands would get anyone's attention, and to them, who has the money to invest in anything would use what the assets they have to gain more money.
3402  Economy / Economics / Re: Make money from money on: November 21, 2017, 01:59:09 PM
This is the era of globalization and capitalization, when you don't have the ability to build your business, then you can control your business with money you have, you only buy stocks and then was able to control the business that you have purchased. Variety of ways we can do to make money with money, and I think all the things that want to make money there must need money.

I guess that right. Nowadays, the world is moving in a phase that is being fueled by money. It wouldn't be new to see that people capitalize on the fact that people make money to earn more money. I agree with the above-mentioned reply that there are so many ways to earn money today. It's a true testament how important money is.
3403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin loses all its value what will happen to altcoins ? on: November 21, 2017, 01:40:48 PM
Do you think altcoins can survive without bitcoin leading the way ?
will the bitcoiners that lose faith go into altcoins or will they
just cash out and take profits ?

I personally see this altcoin growth going hand in hand with the growth of bitcoin
even though some of the altcoins already offer some exciting new possibilities

I think altcoins would also take a massive hit if that happens. Altcoin value is I think correlated to bitcoin's value, being that it is the main crypto around in the market. However, on a positive side, I don't think that there is a high chance for that to happen because the marketability and potential of cryptos are really of the charts.
3404  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: November 21, 2017, 11:16:10 AM
I think in the presence of bitcoin will reduce unemployment, because searching for bitcoin also requires hard work and creativity, and competitiveness in bitcoin is also high almost similar to work in the real world

What is your opinion this time?

It does, and it doesn't only do that, it's a legit way of earning livelihood depending on the means you do to earn bitcoins. I think it's a great way to have a more convenient, easy, and good paying source of income that can be done in play with any other things you have going in your life. For students, parents, or for those that have a full-time job, venturing in the bitcoin market is not a bad way to gain extra.
3405  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you want to live? on: November 21, 2017, 10:14:17 AM
We will ask you a strange question: do you want to live? Of course - the majority will follow the answer. But the point is that life is offered in the future. Scientific developments have reached such a level that the resurrection of a person from just one cell, the business of the foreseeable future. For example, having handed over your cells now for storage (and this is just a few hairs), as millions of people in the USA have done, you get a unique chance to appear at least once again on our Earth.

Living has many different aspects, meanings and perspectives depending on the people you're asking. I think all people want to live based on many different reasons and purposes. The most important aspect of living is I think having something that you want to achieve in life, as they say, living stagnantly and living without a purpose is the same dying in essence. Therefore, one should have a dream or a purpose to make living worthwhile.
3406  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do when prices are falling on: November 21, 2017, 09:42:53 AM
Hello. I have a folio of BTC, ETH, NEO and some alts. I've been watching at Bitcoin since 2015 but bought only at this summer (and the last move was quite bad, I bought some BTC for $4600). I try to study, watch vids, read forum and twitters. Chris Dunn has a vid on the topic but nothing really specific. I'm interested in some ideas about what to do when prices are falling.  Sell alts and hold bitcoin? Short? (and if yes, so the next question is how to learn how to short?).

Well, for most people, they say that if the prices keep falling, you have two (2) options. One, you can sell your coins before the prices plunges down, so you won't have to suffer a massive loss. Or, you may hold on to them until such time that they regain their price and market value, and trade them again or sell them. It's actually up to you philosophy in dealing with bitcoins.
3407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you a True Believer? on: November 21, 2017, 09:27:13 AM
I see alot of people are holding Bitcoins and are convinced that their coins would multiply in value. The same people preach the Bitcoin ideology that its P2P,  decentralised, low to nil send or receive etc.

However, only a small group of people today are using Bitcoins as they were intended. And the fees are not exactly cheap to buy Bitcoins, not to mention those exchange places are basically like banks.

So my question is, are you a True believer of Bitcoins and other Cryptocurrencies that it will one day replace paper money, decentralised and all. Or are you only a believer that the price will continue to climb and you'll one day be a millionaire?

I simply find it fascinating that its apparent, people are preaching the benefits of Bitcoins but they are not using them. Preaching to newbies and drive up the demand and prices of the coins.
Rather, I would love to see people who really believe in Bitcoins, actually going out there and using the coins to purchase products, send/receive coins and let the coins circulate around. I would love to see that day. When the prices are not so volatile, and the coins are being used as they were intended. However, not being volatile also means the prices would rise sharply like it has been this year, which also means you wont be a millionaire holding onto them coins.

So are you a True Believer?

I think I am, I have invested substantial amount of time and effort in learning and earning bitcoin. Right now, I am engaged to different ICOs through their campaigns, and although, its not really time consuming or burdening for that matter, I still see to it that I diligently do that campaigns I am enrolled in as well as update myself with new information regarding the bitcoin trade and market.
3408  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think Bitcoin Price will be in next 3years ? on: November 21, 2017, 08:56:16 AM
What do you think Bitcoin Price will be in next 3years ? comment your view and let see who will be right.

I usually believe that Bitcoin has to aim high and hit the mark! As they say, if you can't land in the moon maybe you can instead go where the stars are! I am predicting that Bitcoin can go as high as $23,000 K within the next 3 years. The market for Bitcoin is getting larger and larger as we are opening new markets and the demand from institutional buyers are brewing. This recent increase in value is the testament to how Wall Street is now readying itself to get into Bitcoin.

Good point. I think it can be around 20k to 50k dollars depending on the market trends that would affect the market in the next three years. It's rise has been in that pace for the recent years that helped it reach its current value now. For some who says that it may reach 100k or more, I think that's too wishful thinking considering how pace it followed through the years.
3409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why So Many ICOs — What Does It All Mean? on: November 18, 2017, 09:05:19 PM
Basically, it means that the ICO market is in a bubble, and will burst.
In fact, I believe it is already bursting.
How many of these ICOs are actually successful?
How many people put money into an ico an lose money or not get what they were promised?
How many of these people will do an ico again?

Right now, ICOs get a lot of money off of those new to crypto with dreams of becoming a quick millionare.
Hmmmmm...where are all those millionares that earned it through an ICO?

Also, it is common knowledge now that you can anticipate the prices to crash below the ICO price after it hits exchanges.

So, basically, just cause there's a lot doesn't mean its good.
In fact, it is quite the opposite.

ICOs are basically start up companies hoping to make it big using bitcoin as medium and using the potential of encouraging other people to bet on them and invest. Unfortunately, some companies don't really have long term plans on what they want to do and are not actually seeing that their own project will prosper. Also, others make ICOs wholly to scam people which is why many are thinking that most ICOs are automatic scams.
3410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cash is better than Bitcoin. on: November 18, 2017, 08:28:15 PM
What are the reasons, why people use Cash or Credit Cards / ATM / Banks?

* Work offline 100%
* No fees.
* Accepted for Food Shopping & Micropayments
* 0 confermations time
* 0 exchange risks
* anyone is able to understanding of the value of payment

Right now, cash is still better than bitcoin because it is recognized in every part of the world, and people are actually more comfortable using it. It's value and use has been proven for years, and the market we have come to know today is built in the foundation of money. Bitcoin, at the moment, is an upcoming medium and currency, and you can say is an additional option for people to choose from to transact and deal with instead of using the seasoned and traditional ones.
3411  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: November 18, 2017, 08:13:24 PM
I personally think it would be even more popular, since people would be able to convert fiat to Bitcoin and hold them without having to worry about it losing value.
It would be used more as a real payment method than it is now.

I agree; however, we should also consider that it's not just with the stability aspect but the price point it commands. If it is stable and doesn't change value in a volatile manner but is only commanding a low price value, then it wouldn't matter because people would be urged to deal with something that they would not get a substantial profit.
3412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin future on: November 18, 2017, 07:56:26 PM
6 month holding life running with altcoin. I don't get any profit from altcoin. my question is really have any future for altcoin? I just tired with altcoin.please drop your suggestion.
thankss😭

Altcoins are very profitable, you just need to pick the right one. You have to buy it at the right time and sell it at the right time. If you keep picking shitcoins then expect that there will be no future from it.

That's true, although its value is not as much as bitcoin, it still carries a profitable value to trade and invest in. However, like the reply said, it would be crucial to choose the right one. You better research and take note of the market trend before choosing on investing in any altcoin, it would be better to check how strong it is and how its price point changes due to several different reasons.
3413  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin going down? on: November 18, 2017, 07:39:49 PM
This is part of market. Price go up down with time so we cannot say anything. So do not worry about price it will go more high and high with increased demand

I agree, the bitcoin market is much aggressive and really hard to play with compared to other trading market. The way its price go up and down seemingly in an instant is part of the beauty and at the same time danger of the bitcoin market. Therefore, before making any moves, it would be best to thoroughly study your ventures and transactions.
3414  Economy / Economics / Re: Maybe governments can stop bitcoin after all on: November 18, 2017, 05:59:41 PM
This is a serious discussion. I mean, after I've seen how bitcoin (and other cryptos as well) got dumped badly after an irrelevant law that makes ICOs illegal. I can only imagine now what would happen If more countries do the same thing and It could get worst by make itself bitcoin illegal. Whether we like to admit it or not, most of people would sell everything they have once its made illegal, some may continue to fight the central banking but the sad reality is that as soon as people start making profits, they will dump it and move on.

I don't think governments would actually "stop" the use of bitcoin. I foresee that they would try to use whatever advantage they have in power to regulate its use or to tax it that would actually have a more positive effect that stopping it. I think that all governments who seek a higher and better revenue with the industries that enter their jurisdiction or market would want to put their hand in the emerging potential of the bitcoin market instead of trashing it altogether by way of prohibitions and bans.
3415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If money would not be a problem, would you still gamble? on: November 18, 2017, 05:29:44 PM
I am just wondering if you still would gamble if you would have enough money? I mean, now as it is, do you gamble for the fun or for the profit?
I dont think most of the people who gamble needs money, I mu self gamble not because I want to multiply my coins but I just want to be entertained or I treat it as a pass time not to generate income. If thats what other people think of gambling then they are not in the right direction, most likely they will end up losing.

I am not into gambling, but to answer your premise, I think I would try if money is not an object. However, knowing myself, I think I would stop the moment I lose because I would then think that there so many other uses with the money that I have. In that context, I think instead of spending your money in the uncertain venture of gambling, why not spend it in a better way.

In anything, most especially if it concerns money or anything of value, you could assume that scammers would be there. Unfortunately, there are just some people who don't think of how other people invested their time and effort to earn what they have, and just plainly, take advantage of others, most especially those who are not knowledge or new to the market. So, in every thing you do, whether it's an ICO or an investment scheme, always be sure to study before you join.
3417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Where do you find your news? on: November 13, 2017, 06:20:34 PM
What websites (besides this forum) or other sources do you use to get news about your coins?
I read on bitcointalk but have the feeling that I miss a lot of interesting news about the coins I own (currently BTC, OMG, ADX, SUB, KMD, ARK, BLOCK, ETH) and would like to stay more 'in the news'.

Thanks in advance for your reply!

a lot of online media information or news about altcoin, example steemit and medium. try search in announcement subforum, token, ico or altcoin dev also publish media that use.
yes I also wear what you say, and I also use social media twitter, facebook to see the development of ICO. and see the news is mandatory before starting trading

I usually check it here in this forum for useful information or anything about bitcoin. Actually, you can search via google on latest news or articles to read about. There are actually many sources online that would be helpful to find useful information. You actually just need to know what to find.
3418  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: November 13, 2017, 05:32:01 PM
This is a fair enough argument but some goods and services you can only pay for via fiat.  In fact most goods/services can only be paid for by fiat or credit.  Inflation is going to be a thing at all if you are just selling the amount of BTC you need to make a purchase in fiat.  I am guessing you mean exchanging for large amounts of fiat that you wouldn't be using in a few days time.

I agree. Although the recognition and potential of bitcoin is steadily on the rise. What is the sense of earning bitcoin without any purpose for it. There are so many other things you can do to utilize your bitcoin better. You can either invest it in a good company, or you can trade them in the market. Another venture you can do is to trade it off to cash and use it to build a business to pair off with your bitcoin earnings. I think the essence of a currency is to be used.
3419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If i have 10 Bitcoin I can do this on: November 13, 2017, 04:32:50 PM
if I have so much money of course I will invest in legit sites and will use it for my studies and my family as well as everyday that I will spend so much money for you no more.

I agree. I think the best use for that is to invest or trade. That's a pretty substantial capital to start off with. Also, I can encash some and maybe start a business. I think when you have that much of an amount, the best would be to use it in something with purposeful. That would be the better use for it.
3420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should I try to win back my loss? on: November 13, 2017, 10:28:16 AM
I have around 500 000 bets placed on FJ
It was a matter of time when this would happen ( placed a lot of bets on not Martingale, so it already happened a lot of times, just not with Martingale)

I got 16 losses in a row
Starting with bet 0.000001BTC
And last bet was 0.03BTC
Counting a 0.06BTC loss total

Now, my question is, should I try to win it back?

I have a total bank of around 1.6BTC on my disposal

Odds of me losing those 16 bets in a row were 0.00179%
Somewhere around 1 to 60 000

Now, if I place a 0.06BTC there's a 50.5% chance I'll lose
If I lose, I place a 0.12BTC bet,  0.505*0.505= 25.5% chance I'll lose
If I lose, I place a 0.24BTC bet, 0,255025*0,505= 12.88% chance
If I lose, I place a 0.48BTC bet, 0,128787625*0,505= 6.5% chance I'll lose

If I lose, I have a total loss of 0.48+0.24+0.12+0.06 (+0.03) = 0.9BTC (+0.03)

Is it worth it?
Should I cut my losses o.o

Odds of me losing 20 bets in a row should be 1 : 860 000
Which, with me having 500k bets, doesn't sound very good

You got into a series of losses and by some logic you should stop because it's easy to lose even more. But by some law of numbers after you lost 16 times in a row you probably should finally win in next few bets.I think the decision is just for you because money is just yours. If I was in your place I would stop for a while.Since you are in good campaign all you lost will be back to you anyway.I know it's not the same as getting a bet,but let's say it makes sense,at least for me.

If you still decide to bet good luck to you and to get back all the lost Smiley

First off, I think gambling is not a good way of earning coins. Gambling in general is not a good way, because when you lose, you would always want to win it back, and thus, you are obliged by your own self to play more, which would prompt you to probably lose some more. I think, like in the reply, if you have experienced a series of loses, you should walk away and regroup instead of jumping on the gun immediately, your judgement and your motive is different and you tend to be blinded by the fact that you are losing a lot already.
