Being an inexperienced team, the United Arab Emirates failed to chase this target well and they are now struggling at 66 for 5. They need another 100 runs in 50 balls which is impossible for them as they have already lost the top 5 batsmen. None of the batsmen from UAE looked comfortable today and it seems that could not handle the big match pressure today.
Not sure what to make out of the UAE team as none of the players are familiar, they need 82 runs from 41 balls and they still have 5 wickets in hand. Couple of good overs for UAE can put pressure on New Zealand  Cheesy.

Ireland need 82 runs to win in 34 balls with Jasprit Bumrah having 2 overs left and Prasidh Krishna bowling really well, it is an impossible target to reach, hopefully an easy win for India.

I think the reason why the matches in the Asia cup or not consistently being played in one country is because they did not want any people to plan a hit in a certain area.  Don’t know how effective that is. But my assumption is this.
How about a surprise announcement just before the match regarding the venue so that no one could plan anything  Cheesy Tongue. The only reason the tournament is conducted in two countries is simply because of the refusal of the Indian Cricket team to visit Pakistan. As long as there is right wing government in power in India you cannot expect any change in this decision.

The hypocrisy is that only Cricket is affected by this political drama, India and Pakistan play other sporting events regularly without any issue Cheesy.

Holy shit, Sean O'Malley knocked out Aljamain Sterling which i was not expecting the fight to be this easy for Malley and i was picking Aljamain Sterling to win Cry. Picture perfect right hand to his face and Aljamain Sterling fell flat on the ground and he finished the fight.

Ian Garry kicked the shit out of Neil Magny even though the fight went to a decision.

Something similar happened with PEPE, when a story about an investor who bought 250$ worth of tokens and earned 20 million was actively spread. All these stories are created to fuel the hype. 99.9% of everyone who buys such tokens will never be able to repeat the same success. Be realistic.
These sort of stories will fuel the new investors to try their luck and hence these sort of crazy stories of random people without any faces making millions is a sure shot way to keep churning out shit tokens and creating the hype of a million dollar promise so that new investors are attracted towards these shit project and as mentioned earlier by some of the users, majority are inside jobs as they are aware of the pumps well before the general investors and those users usually earn a substantial profit before the bubble bursts.

It was unexpected that Barry McCarthy would come in to bat at number 8 and play such a brilliant innings. I think the Indian bowlers don't expect that either. However, Ireland provided a good enough target. Even then, their chances of winning are slim. Ireland's bowlers are not world class.
Wonder what the odds were when Ireland were 7 down before Barry McCarthy came down to bat. No one expected them to score 140 odd runs in the end.

It's a big win for the associate team but we shouldn't forget that Kiwis sent a rookie team on this tour and it's becoming a norm for everyone.
Glad that i did not place a bet in this match, in records New Zealand was defeated by UAE irrespective of the team they sent  Cheesy.

Edit: Just watched the highlights, The UAE batsman chased the total really well and took the team to the winning runs.
126  Economy / Speculation / Re: what a surprise dip on: August 19, 2023, 05:24:32 PM
~
what i only observed was the way bitcoin moved down to $24,200 before rising back to $26,000 so what next should we expect again and the week is gone, maybe after the weekend, next week may bring in another luck to have that green indication but for now we are still in the dip.
Majority of the investors are looking at this dip as an opportunity to purchase and hold for the long term and hence the price is recovering slightly and even if the market goes down further, there is nothing to worry for the long term investors as the price will bounce back. It is not a huge surprise seeing this correction because the market was stuck for a while around $30k and some were anticipating this correction Wink

You can buy of course BNB because that alone gives you a great features and backed by binance and the man CZ.
This is the expectation by many but you need to take into account the legal complication they are facing from the regulators and everyone is aware of the fiasco made by FTX, who majority thought was a reputable exchange. Same goes to every centralized exchange who has their dedicated token, if they get into trouble legally or otherwise, it will turn into trash.

I think O'Malley has a decent chances to win in this fight and maybe do it in a KO win style, so I placed my bet on him, lets see if I was wrong.
Aljamain Sterling is a good fighter but I think he sometimes acts to arrogant and someone needs to bring him back to earth a little, maybe O'Malley is best candidate for that.
I am following Aljamain Sterling in his youtube channel and for me he appears like a realist rather than being arrogant, when is he facing the media hyping the fight he is definitely talking trash to hype up the fight and my money is on Aljamain Sterling against Sean O'Malley but the real challenge would be Umar Nurmagomedov who has a good stand up game and a well rounded ground game.

Barry McCarthy batted brilliantly today. He was unbeaten with 51 runs off just 33 balls. He has batted very responsibly, at a smart strike rate.
If not for the innings by Barry McCarthy who came out to bat at 8th position Ireland would have folded much earlier. Still it is an easy target for the Indian batsman but the problem right now is the rain and it looks like we wont be seeing the entire match as the rain is pouring heavily at the moment and according to Duckworth Lewis method India is ahead in the scorecard, either way wished to see the entire match.
130  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could Bitcoin potentially serve as a safe haven in the upcoming economic crisis on: August 17, 2023, 09:38:59 PM
there's a lot of discussion about an impending economic crisis. I'm curious about how Bitcoin will perform during this crisis. Will it function as a safe haven similar to gold? Or will its value decline significantly?
If there is a financial crisis you would find many investors coming into this space and the market might be rallying because of that but it is a highly risky market considering the volatility level and you cannot compare it with gold at this time (had a different view earlier but considering the price now, view changes), i would not necessary call it a safe heaven unless you were smart enough to enter at the bottom.
131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Technology is Changing Sports Betting on: August 17, 2023, 04:38:02 PM

We should start with the most obvious and most important advancement, how we manage our betting dollars. When we wager in old school, traditional, currency like dollars we must often use a middle person.
This is a major difference as some of the places have gambling termed illegal and it was difficult to proceed with the transactions directly, you need to hop between couple of online payment processors and that takes transaction charges and with the introduction of cryptocurrency based gambling, it is a lot easier.

Sports betting AI
AI can help in determining the best odds but it will help the odds makers to rectify their errors as well. It is impossible to predict the outcome of sporting events all the time.

It was expected that New Zealand would dominate and win every match in this series. But now it doesn't seem like that. New Zealand is unable to dominate. Maybe they will win. But their batting is not very good. The team managed to collect 116 runs in 16 overs.
Looking at the team four players are making their debut for UAE in this match and considering there are some established names in the New Zealand lineup in this tournament, you would assume that this will be a one sided series, but New Zealand are struggling with the bat as the runs are not coming freely and they have lost wickets but considering UAE is experimenting with their players and four players making their debut, i believe they will struggle against the New Zealand bowlers if they need to chase anything above 140.

We can't expect this to be one-sided series. If it is an ODI series, then the matches could've been won by India, but with T20 matches played anything could happen. Even the Ireland players are good in chasing targets, against a team like India they'll give the best. T20 match results can change in no time and I believe Ireland will win atleast one match. This isn't going to be one-sided series.
Since it is T20 then it can be competitive but India does have a good side and they will be struggling against the returning Jasprit Bumrah and really curious how he will be performing after a long gap.

Wish Rinku Singh will get a chance to make his debut as he is deserving to be in the team and hopefully Tilak Varma and Yashasvi Jaiswal continue with their impressive form in this series as well.

O’Malley is an UFC created fighter and a record. It is a fact that the kid has a talent, but UFC gave him weak opponents imho. I have started no liking Sterling when he got the belt after illegal knee. But in next fights he managed to change my attitude to him. 4th title defence. That is a lot. A lot of guys lose belts after first defence. Imho Sterling will wrestle O’Malley in parter till UD or split win.
You could say that the UFC has built Sean O'Malley by giving him favorable match ups, he is yet to fight a world class wrestler or a fighter who could control the fight on the ground.

Petr Yan was his biggest test and in that fight he absorbed a lot of punishment and i cannot understand how the judges gave it to Sean and if it was a 5 round fight then there is no way he is going to survive and he has never participated in a 5 round fight in his career and the title fight against Aljamain Sterling will be his first 5 rounder.

There are many Crypot New Enthusiasts who just jump into the Project as and when they see Website and Whitepaper link. Hardly check what is even inside!

Just wondering what is your take on it!
Majority might not check the specifics and there are plenty of projects that have shitty whitepaper that does not make any sense and there was a time when all the stupid dumb projects were able to raise huge amount and hopefully that trend is going down. There are shitty projects with big backings that are doing good in the short time, so there are users that are willing to take risk and try out considering the huge profit they will be able to earn in the short period.

Now we can enjoy the Arab League matches that are getting tougher, they keep bringing in European players non-stop. An interesting league treat now.
Saudi is able to shell out huge amount of money to attract the star players and the European leagues are not happy with the current situation. The Saudi leagues are not that competitive considering other established leagues in Europe or England and the only reason they were able to attract huge followers is because they were able to sign players who had massive fan following and they are continuing that process and it will help them in establishing them as one of the promising leagues.

A big score in this match is heavily dependent on SKY and Hardik Pandya. If these two batsmen can score 50+ runs in the remaining 4 overs then India's chances of winning this match will increase a lot. With two hard hitting batsmen on the wicket, expect a big score for India.
Hardik Pandya is struggling to connect the ball and he faced 17 balls for his 7 runs which is not helping the team, he should give the strike back to Suryakumar Yadav rather than wasting balls looking for the big shot. Unfortunately rain has stopped play and hopefully they will be able to continue the match without reducing any overs . Suryakumar Yadav is the only hope for a competitive total.

Connor still has problems to finish the trilogy fight with Nate Diaz, the fight will probably be scheduled for the next fight, they have to determine the victory in the trilogy fight as the best fighter.
The Nate Diaz trilogy will happen even if Nate is not under contract with the UFC, Nate Diaz confirmed that during his Boxing post and pre fight interviews that he will be fighting in the UFC in the future and Conor McGregor even mentioned that the trilogy will take place because they will make millions with the level of hype they are able to generate even if they are not in their prime.

The bad thing is, it is not clear with Conor, USADA and Conor's constantly changeable decision to fight Chandler, Gaethje or someone else.
May be Conor McGregor is waiting for the steroids' to be flushed out from his body before joining the USADA pool Grin. Even if picograms keeps popping even USADA has changed their rule that it wont be public information and it wont be termed as a violation anymore.

India should also lift ban on its players for participation in T20 leagues. If BCCI has too much talent then they must send players to participate in T20 leagues as not all domestic players will be able to play IPL or national side. I don't know what's the mind set behind this ban where Indian players are not allowed to play other leagues.
May be the fear of BCCI is that if everyone is having the freedom to choose which franchise a player wanted to represent in other leagues then the popularity of those leagues will rise along with the IPL and they do not want that to happen  Cheesy. Since the players are getting good remuneration even for domestic matches they wont be revolting against these decisions either.
140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Anthony Joshua vs Robert Helenius (replacement) on: August 13, 2023, 10:59:30 AM
~
No, Helenius just had a fight a week ago against Mika Mielonen and won by TKO in round 3. So he is pretty much still fresh and we can say that he is still battle ready to face Joshua.
Cutting weight in a short amount of time alone will not help Robert Helenius in this fight, so it was a given verdict because it is literally impossible for someone to be battle ready after a fight a week ago in the professional level.

However, we've seen the difference though, Joshua is in top tier of the Heavyweight division while Helenius is below. And as he pointed out, he would rather face a late replacement than facing a drug cheater.
Anthony Joshua wanted to regain his confidence and he was really patient in the early rounds while Robert Helenius was the aggressor but from the 3rd round onwards Joshua started to land some heavy hooks and then his confidence level was out of the roof and the win was inevitable.
