Axar Patel made the right move and scored 64 runs in 34 balls. He is playing an ODI after a long break for years. He have mentioned we have played similar way on IPL. Nicholas Pooran have said the Spinner was the last focus, but we weren't able to take his wicket.
Axar Patel is playing this ODI series after a 5 year gap and he made his mark with the bat in this match which was incredible. I thought India lost the match when Shreyas Iyer lost his wicket and then the mix up of Sanju Samson loosing his wicket and i had no hopes that India would come back in the match and the odds were huge during that period and Axar Patel played one of the best innings i have seen in a no hope situation. Hats off to the lower order players.
1022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: RUIZ VS ORTIZ SUN, SEP 04, 2022 10PM ET EASTERN TIME/ on: July 24, 2022, 08:17:58 PM
Ruiz is probably the most mismanaged boxer after knocking out Joshua he mismanaged his training and eventually lost against Joshua in their rematch, his last fight is not good either against Arreola not the kind of fight that will make him a hot item again, so he really need to win this fight he is still at his prime at 33, I think he is more serious now.

On Ortiz, this could be his last card to get a title shot for the last time he is already 43 years old after his failed two title shots against Deontay Wilder, he is in the twilight of his career if not for a knockout win against Martin people could write him off.

Both fighters need the win so whoever wants it most will win it, for me, Ruiz has a better chance here he is a young fighter hungry to get back on track again.
The only reason i do not want to pick Andy Ruiz is because he is not fully focused on his training after the Anthony Joshua win because fame and money has derailed his focus and changed fight camps and i am not sure where he has settled now and who will be overlooking his preparation and on the other hand Luis Ortiz is a knockout fighter and the only disadvantage he got is his age and most probably that will have an affect on his speed. Will pick the fighter closer to the bout as i want to see how Andy Ruiz is preparing for this fight and then make a decision.
1023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will exchanges control ETH after it becomes a PoS cryptocurrency? on: July 24, 2022, 07:11:13 PM
~
It's possible ETC will become bigger and stronger than ever after Ethereum goes full PoS. We've yet to see how secure the new Blockchain will be, especially when PoS undermines the network's decentralization. If ETH fails, then ETC will take over as the world's second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap. Things would've been worse if the code wasn't open source for anyone to modify at will. There are rumors that ETH will be switching to PoS by the end of the year, so it's best to be prepared just in case. Just my opinion Smiley
As long as big investors are supporting ETH, it is hard for ETC to become the largest cryptocurrency in terms of market cap. Everyone will be riding the market as long as they are getting the profits even if ETH becomes centralized, then again they were centralized in making decisions even with POW which is evident with the split with ETC when there was a major hack.

Even in the case of switching to PoS completely without any major bugs, which is highly unlikely  Wink and the market getting more centralized there will be investors pouring in millions, next four years is interesting as we could see some major changes in the market.

Ethereum is to Bitcoin what Google was to Yahoo.  Just be patient. If Vitalik is right and he does burn/destroy the amount of Eth he plans to after the merge, Eth will be the deflationary asset Bitcoin was trying to be. After POS there will be no big changes and Vitalik will have plan to Decentralized the Etherium.
Create an infinite supply coin and then burn the coins and become a deflationary asset, how sweet Tongue.
1024  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finland sold 1,900 BTC, for a good cause on: July 24, 2022, 05:43:38 PM

I wonder though why there was a delay in selling off the bitcoins back then in November 2021.
The article clearly says that they were trying to sell off the coins early this year and was seeking help of brokers to sell off the coins and with the huge amount it is not that easy to find buyers that easily especially when you are dealing with a government. Instead they should have auctioned the coins just like the US does with these confiscated coins.

~
Probably they just want to wash their hands with this tainted bitcoin? And then we look at it as somewhat the "right" thing to do for them, instead of just holding this bitcoin in their custody, at least they decided to donate it to Ukraine. And we are not sure if this is all the government of Finland is holding, those they confiscated, maybe there will still thousands at their position, just saying.
Once the coins are confiscated by the authority, it is not tainted anymore and the government of Finland does not necessarily need to donate them but their actions are commendable. This is not the first time any government is auctioning or selling off BTCitcoin ceased from drug transaction but this is the first time i am hearing a government giving away as a donation to another country.

West Indies are struggling at the moment after a great start. If they don't provide a target close to 320, it's most probably game over for them since India have so many world class batsmen in their current squad.
Shai Hope and Nicholas Pooran are in the crease and they are the most trusted players and they need to build a good partnership and they are moving at a good run rate and it is possible they would easily reach around 280 runs but considering West Indies is not having a good bowling line up they need to put a huge score to challenge the Indian batters to win the match which is highly unlikely Wink.

He is out of form probably due to mental problems. So personally I think he needs rest.
This is the first time i am hearing about mental problems to Virat Kohli. Not sure whether these are true, i do agree that he needs some rest but to regain his composure he needs to keep on playing to find the rhythm. He is showing weakness and may be because he is not able to concentrate like before and i believe one good innings and he will be back in form like he used to play in the past.
1027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 24, 2022, 11:25:38 AM
Srilanka has already lost 4 wickets and has scored 214 runs. Chandimal is still on the pitch and is again looking strong against Pakistan, he has already scored 49 runs and I think he is aiming for his century in this match. If he continues, then Srilanka can achieve more than 300 runs. Pakistan is missing Shaheen Afridi if he would have played then the wickets would be more.
The inform Dinesh Chandimal once again played well for Sri Lanka but he missed his century as he was trying to clear the boundary but mistimed it completely. Dhananjaya de Silva and Niroshan Dickwella is in the crease and they need to create a good partnership to get to a decent score.
Pakistan have the advantage here and i expect them to win the match.

Like I said, I'll be supporting Tom, but if I were to put a bet on or make a prediction it would be Curtis, probably via decision due to his superior wrestling. Now, if Tom comes out, and dominates on the ground, that'll definitely put him in high regard. I just can't see that happening. The odds are also close suggesting the bookies are also thinking that Tom has the stand up advantage while Curtis has the ground advantage.
I expected a good main event but just like the last main event, the opponent got injured as Tom Aspinall injured his knee after landing a solid leg kick and even though Curtis Blaydes did not check the knee, he went down in pain and it was really disappointing and a lot of people lost money in the fight.

Star of the night is Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann and Paddy Pimblett surprised me with his ground skills as i expected an upset tonight  Wink.

Alexander Gustafsson needs to retire for good as he cannot take a punch now and Nikita Krylov smashed him from the start.

Volkan Oezdemir surprised me with a decision win and Jack Hermansson improved his striking so much as Chris Curtis had no idea on how to counter them Cheesy.

The video was captioned, "Crypto training. Proverbs 14:23In all toil there is profit, but mere talk tends only to poverty.'' According to the netizen who shared the clip, the pastor got a professional to train congregants on crypto. While boasting that such an opportunity can't be got anywhere, the netizen expressed joy that 'kingdom wealth is on the way.' In the clip, a projector is seen displaying a crypto trading chart while people listened.
So at the end of the day he can ask donations in cryptocurrency  Cheesy Tongue. I am not against learning about new things but the reason why people follow religion is to have peace of mind and majority are there to exploit that and then seek their donations and have a luxury life on their own. So i hate all those money mongering religious people who are after money exploiting the weakness of innocent people Wink.
1030  Economy / Speculation / Re: Effect of Tesla bitcoin sale not significant on: July 23, 2022, 08:03:39 PM

Elon Musk is anti bitcoiner and supporting just doge coin, people were thinking that this will happen, that Tesla will sell their bitcoin holding, it could be because of business reasons or a way to manipulate the market in the future, but it was good that Elon Musk sold this coin and not having significant effect on the market.
If you are referring to huge investors as anti bitcoiners then you should include every institutional investors in this category including anyone who invest in the market who think about attaining a profit at a later date. One thing is established is that Elon Musk is a master manipulator not only in the cryptocurrency space but also in the stock market, so you can expect news popping up once in a while that could influence the market.

Match is stuck at a very important junction here. With 4 overs left 47 runs to score. If this would have been any other team I would have said chances are slim for the batting side. But it's west Indies and slog batting is their strength, this is their main area so chances of them taking away this match looks slightly higher to me than India taking this. Only way is to take one wicket here and then only We'll be able to take away this match.
The odds were moving rapidly in the final few overs and Shikhar Dhawan kept his cool in picking the right bowlers and Mohammed Siraj bowled really well even though he conceded runs majority were edges to the boundary. It was a nerve biting match as i did not expect the match to be this close considering how badly they performed against Bangladesh not to far ago. If Nicholas Pooran stayed at the crease for some more time, they would have changed the situation.
It is better to place live bets in this series.
1032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: July 22, 2022, 09:08:30 PM

Most of the successful teams (take India and England as examples) have different squads for different formats. The problem with Bangladesh is that they stick to the same set of players, irrespective of the format. And this doesn't work either way. The players can't concentrate in any one format, and the team can't perform decently across the different versions. If they want to be successful in shorter variety, then they need to come up with players who specialize in that variety. And I don't think that they are lacking in talent.
If Bangladesh had players who could clear the boundary with ease, they would be in the team by now. The reason some of the teams are able to rotate players between formats is because of the bench strength they have so that they can give rest to the main players if they are playing weaker teams and Bangladesh does not have that luxury to rotate players between formats just yet.
1033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu's future on: July 22, 2022, 08:14:49 PM
According to my observations I think that this coin will grow but not really sure whether i should try to buy and hold some or try micro trading. I'm sure that there're lots of experienced traders who can give me an advice
Meme coin had a great time during the last market rally but you cannot expect the same every time. There is nothing wrong in holding a few but do not expect any substantial rally like we used to see in the past. I never touched the coin during the meme craze and definitely i will not be spending any cent to hold them now. If at all if i want to hold a meme coin i would hold Doge rather than holding Shiba Wink.

India started the innings well. They scored 127 runs in the first 20 overs. The run rate was over 6. But due to middle order failure, India mustered only 267 after 46 overs. I don't think India can give a target of more than 300 at the moment. They collected only 17 runs in the last 6 overs. I did not expect to see such bad batting from India's experienced batsmen.
India is not playing their best team in this series as everyone is rested and India really failed to capitalize on the great start they had and at one point i thought they would score well over 350 runs but would end up scoring 308 runs and West Indies was able to pick wickets at regular intervals. After watching the Bangladesh series i am not expecting any surprises from West Indies chasing the score but with second string bowling attack who knows what would happen.
1035  Economy / Economics / Re: The fear of Bitcoin monopoly in El Salvador on: July 21, 2022, 07:58:21 PM
I can understand that El Salvador embraced Bitcoin but their way of investing was so haphazard as if they had never consulted anyone who is an expert in financial analysis or good at reading charts.

I remember that there was a chart of the purchase dates and it all seemed random without a solid economic plan as the price collapsed several times after the purchases.
With the way they were investing it was clear that they were overconfident that the price would not fall further and hence they invested even when the price had a correction to $40k but the price went down drastically and since they are investing public fund in the volatile market, they should have done better analysis before investment when the market was correcting.

Currently and historically, the price is ideal for investment, but we did not hear more investments, which reflects the economic situation in that country.
El Salvador recently purchased 80 BTCitcoin at $19,000, but they are at a loss of $51 million.

I'm not sure why Curtis hasn't got a bigger fanbase than he does. He's a very accomplished fighter, whether that's wrestling or the UFC, as I said he has only lost against the best of the division. That's expected, especially at this weight class. It isn't like he has avoided the bigger fights either, which you could potentially say Tom has. Tom has had decent opponents, but if you compare the two, Curtis has had the more difficult journey to the top.

I don't know. I still think Curtis takes it.
Tom Aspinall had two good opponents in his last two fight Sergey Spivak and Alexander Volkov and both were strikers and Curtis Blaydes is the toughest opponent he every faced simply because of the elite wrestling skills but Tom Aspinall is good at submissions and a well rounded fighter and i think it wont be that easy for anyone to take Tom Aspinall down as he also has wrestling background but my prediction is that Curtis Blaydes will be able to takedown Tom and win by ground and pound.

They have the same height (178 cm) but have different fighting styles in jitsu and wrestling, but to stop the opponent both relying on near cranks, Oliveira also has good wrestling skills, so which fighter launches the takedown first?
The fact that both have 11 straight wins from Oliveira and 10 straight wins from Makhachev, whoever loses will spoil the previous winning streak.
Charles Oliveira is a straight elite BJJ expert with the most submission wins but he is not a wrestler but his transitions are world class and hence he holds the most submission record in the UFC. On the other hand Islam Makhachev is an elite wrestler, the same match up the fans wanted to see was Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson where one was an elite wrestler and Tony was an elite submission artist.

Since the fight is moved to UAE, Islam Makhachev will have the crowd support and will have an advantage and i expect a great technical fight.
1038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 17, 2022, 06:40:34 PM
That's some fine batting from the Babar, completely in control and toying with the Srilankan bowlers and fielders. Naseem Shah also hanging out there with the skipper and doing very fine job.
Babar Azam showed his class when everyone else was struggling to score runs and if not for his century Sri Lanka would be having a big lead as they were 7 for 85 at one stage. Plenty of time left in this match and the match depends upon how many runs Sri Lanka will be scoring in their second innings as it will be difficult to bat in the final two days.

West Indies played this series like an associate team. They should have performed well against a weak team like Bangladesh. In third ODI only Nicholas Pooran scored 73 runs, rest of the batting collapsed and gave Bangladesh another easy win.
The concluded series just demonstrated who was the weaker team. This is the worst performance by West Indies in a tri series in their history and the lowest scores they had in history. So who was the weaker team ? Bangladesh played brilliantly and i am not sure why the West Indies cricket board created pitches that helped spinners a lot and Bangladesh took full advantage of that situation even in the absence of Shakib Al Hasan they were able to dominate in all the matches and white washed West Indies.

India is chasing a total of 260 runs and they already lost their top three, it is going to be a difficult chase, If England is able to pick a couple of wickets then the pressure will do the rest and England will win the series.

I've already accepted that I'm at loss with them and if I'll sell, I won't be able to recover so, it's like nothing right now. And I'm holding so that if ever by in the future they got a better value, I'll sell them in profit.
I'm not regretting that I've bought them since it's part of investing and I just thought of holding them today as the best option.
Anyone purchasing the NFT should hold them thinking this as a souvenir and not as an investment because the market is flooded with many projects and their N number of NFT and even once exclusive artist who does these NFT have their contracts expired goes on to other platforms and launches their NFT once again. So in majority of the situation the rare element is gone even if it is done by another artist.
