561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rumors that US SEC would like to ban crypto staking on: February 10, 2023, 10:21:21 PM

Ive just saw this tweet from Brian of Coinbase and its a big fud or a terrible rumor for altcoins. SEC wanted to crucify crypto staking in the US does considering the staking method as security.
Kraken is slapped with a huge fine of $30 million by SEC because they failed to register the program, more exchanges will be under the same situation and will attract huge fines from the SEC. May be these sort of tightening the rules regarding staking took off as a rumor about SEC banning cryptocurrency staking, but the fact remains that they can ban them anytime and hence POW is the only workable solution for a decentralized currency.
562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: February 10, 2023, 08:27:27 PM
Anyone watching the European Cricket T10 tournament, some of the matches looked like fixed ones, the reason i said so is because, i placed a bet on a match between Gozo and Msida Warriors and when i placed the bet Msida was on a winning position as they had plenty of wickets to spare and enough balls and they started to defend rather than rotating the strike and in the final over, first ball went for a six and the rest of the 5 balls Msida Warriors lost 5 wickets and all they need was a single run to win the match and the match ended in a tie and by Golden Ball rule Gozo was adjudged the winner Roll Eyes.

The odds for Gozo to win were off the roof and they somehow magically won in the end, after this i started to watch the rest of the matches and most of them are fishy, the heavy underdog during live bets magically wins in the end .

Ravindra Jadeja has shown a really good performance in the ball that he has taken five wickets single-handedly.  But there is no guarantee that he will be able to play like that in the second match but he really played a big role for yesterday's match.
Considering his Test bowling average and the strike rate at which he picks wickets and his past performances, Ravindra Jadeja is a key player who will be having the same impact with the ball whenever he is playing in sub continent wickets and with the bat he has matured enough to continue giving performance up to his talent which was lacking in his initial years in his International career even though he has three triple centuries to his name in domestic circuit.

Ravindra Jadeja messing with Australia now with the bat and hopefully will score a big century along with Axar Patel and Australia will be battling to defend and spinners will be mowing and picking all the wickets in the coming days.

The only match I am interested in watching is on the 12th of this month. South Africa is far better as a team than Srilanka. They are also one of the world cup's favorites as the world cup is being played in South Africa, home ground advantage cannot be ruled out. The other three teams to watch out for in this tournament are Australia, England, Newzealand, and India.
In Women's T20, South Africa does have a much better team and Sri Lanka is not that competitive in the senior ranks even though they had some promising players in their under 19 camp which played recently. Regarding the home ground advantage, if South Africa are able to beat Australia or India then we can say that it is an advantage but it is highly unlikely they will be able to do that in T20 considering the past series i have seen Wink.
565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury - February 26 in Saudi Arabia on: February 09, 2023, 11:13:50 PM

I saw a flash about this fight on the news of which I didn't give a paid attention to and now am seeing discussed here, much of what I have read from the comment of other forum users I understand many are underestimating the capacity and capability of Tommy Fury in winning this fight against his opponent Paul maybe due to how Tommy isn't a match near Paul based on past track record.
If Tommy Fury failed to appear on the fight night twice when they were scheduled to fight, you tend to underestimate the situation whether they whether they will be fighting if they schedule to fight once again and that is the only curiousness everyone here is having. It is not about a big championship bout and still it is able to gather an audience simply because Jake Paul who is not a conventional boxer challenges a legit boxer while the entire boxing community is mocking Jake Paul's skills while they fail to sign a contract to fight him Wink.

Before the start of this first test match between India and Australia, i had a gut feeling that India will preform better than Australian and the only reason was that the match was being played at Indian soil.
India always have the advantage when playing at home but to fold Australia for 177 runs when they won the toss and then elected to bat first and then for India to dismiss on to a low score is not common. Ravindra Jadeja was not in the picture due to injury and bang he is back with a 5 wicket haul and with Ashwin in the mix they are the best spin combo in the world and the best all rounders in the game today.
567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in new Projects (Need Suggestion) on: February 08, 2023, 09:40:26 PM
I want to ask that investing in new projects has worth or not because to many scams projects now a days and i am afraid of losing money.
Even with the knowledge of the scam projects in this space, why would you promote scam a project in disguise that you want everyone to look into it  Roll Eyes. You mentioned that the team behind the project looks professional, how did you contact the team members as there is nothing transparent about the team members in their website regarding the developers of the project Tongue.
568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 284: Makhachev vs. Volkanovski on: February 08, 2023, 07:19:59 PM
~
Volk is to small so the striking will not work as well as it usually does for him. I know he is used to being the smaller man but Makhachev is huge compared to him and has the ability to submit him easily if he can get the takedown. Volk will be not be throwing as many punches as he does normally because he will be worried about the takedown. He could lose in the striking because of this threat of submission. I still think Makhachev submits Volk in 2 rounds he will make volk tired and he will stop defending the takedowns and it will be game over.
Since you are talking about Alexander Volkanovski being too small when he is facing Islam Makhachev, but the fact remains that Alexander Volkanovski has a much bigger reach advantage than Islam and that is his strength when he was facing all these fighters at 145 pound division.

He knows to control the distance and strike with every opponents he faced because he is having a bigger reach advantage than the rest of the fighters and he does have a really small neck and hence even submission fighters like Brian Ortega failed to submit him even after having locked in great submissions.

~
The only advantage of Volk on this match is striking and his experience because he fought many strong fighter on his career but he will definitely dominated by Makhachev on this fight since this will be a wrestling game. Islam will never let this fight a striking fest and he will surely attempt takedown as much as possible like he was always doing on his previous matches.
I would say, the only disadvantage of Alexander Volkanovski is that he never fought elite level ground fighters as most of his opponents were strikers with BJJ skills but Islam is a wrestler with submission skills and the interesting aspect is how Alexander Volkanovski will handle Islam on the ground.

Anyway, all I am saying is that these players don't have the capability of winning matches on their own. They can play a supplementary role, and that is it.
If you are talking about solo goals, those are rare and you really need a team effort to win matches and big tournaments and it is evident from the recent World Cup where Messi motivated the entire team and the team members trusted his vision and everyone wanted to win the cup for Messi and the player needs to be in the right position at the right time and only a team whose members are willing to play a supplementary role for the ultimate purpose can win the entire tournament Wink.

I have seen matches where Kylian Mbappé was not able to score goals nor get any chance to score one for PSG when Neymar and Messi were not available. You need a good midfield play to get the ball to the strikers, Ronaldo was facing the fate in Manchester United and now with Al-Nassr as he is not getting the ball and even if you are a goal scoring machine elsewhere, if the midfielders are not good enough to pass the ball along, you wont be scoring goals.
570  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: biometrics authentication not entirely secure? on: February 05, 2023, 08:07:33 PM
Was thinking about how bitcoin and crypto currency can be made more secure using biometrics authentication though some of the biometrics are easily hacks but it's depends  to the uniqueness to a particular individual but still yet all biometrics can be hacked even iris and retinal scanning.
The biometric security is safe as long as the company storing the data is well calibrated to avoid any major hacks. If you are planning to securely store your cryptocurrency, always go for a hardware wallet or a cold wallet rather than storing your coins in any online wallet in your mobile, it is not secure even with biometric facility as it is easier to hack a mobile and hijack your biometric data stored in it.

Its good to see Zimbabwe back in test format. I was reading that there is no DRS in this series, its mainly due to lack of international cricket in Zimbabwe. With time as more international cricket will be played in Zimbabwe we will see wold class facilities.
To avail DRS facility, they need to shell out $60,000 per Test match and i really believe that the Zimbabwe Cricket board does not want to spent that much amount to avail those facility as they wont be getting that kind of revenue for a game and their financial condition is not that great either.

Even in this match, there were some close decisions that the umpire has not given out and hopefully we will not see further blunders.

^^ Devin Clark surprised me with his offence and takedowns and that kind of fighting style had an impact on Da Un Jung to open up and land his patented elbows, it was a great fight plan by Devin Clark and i lost one parlay because of that  Cry.

Was expecting Derrick Lewis to bounce back and win but another wrestling masterclass from Serghei Spivac who ragdolled Derrick Lewis as if he was some lower weight division fighter  Cheesy.

There will be many people who lose money in this case, one of them is me Cheesy
My multi for the last game which I believe will benefit should be gone with the unexpected win against Everton.

I was lucky to doge the bullet, i added Arsenal in my multi bet along with Manchester United, PSG, SL Benfica and a few MMA bets and when i was about to place the bet, the betting line for Arsenal went offline and hence i removed them and added the rest as the match already started and definitely many lost their bet and i could see only a couple of high rollers placing high amount on the heavy underdog.

Going to three years now, am trying to see some of the bitcoiners in my area to discuss with them how to join hands together to promote Bitcoin in the society but they said they prefer discussing it online than see each other physical.
Are they ashame to be a bitcoiners? or they are among the people that think Bitcoin is a scam?
Why Bitcoin users are afraid of see each other physical?
The sole reason is privacy, there is nothing to be ashamed to be a bitcoiner and i have met some of the members in this space throughout the years and majority does not know my online alias and a very few identify me along with my alias. If you are really keen on meeting people you can join any blockchain conference in your area thereby keeping your online identify safe.

A good start from west Indies and their openers are will playing , after 48 overs they have made 103 runs which is slow but a good start.
Zimbabwe on other hand is struggling with the balling .
Zimbabwe failed to pick any wickets but they are bowling tight line and length and West Indies is playing a real Test match as the scoreboard is not moving much either Cheesy . Rain interrupted majority of the day's play and expecting the same weather throughout the match and hence expecting a draw.

Zimbabwe is not in icc test championship 2021-23 nine teams, so definitely, this series is not part of it.
They do not even have DRS in this series.

I completely agree with you. Given Bilbao's recent record, predicting the result of this match is quite difficult. Taking their low odds may not be the safest choice, but you never know. Sometimes the bookies are correct. However, given Bilbao's recent streak of defeats, it may be prudent to remain cautious.

Cadiz, on the other hand, has a chance to win today, particularly considering they are fighting their way out of the relegation zone. They may come into this match with a bit more drive to win, but playing on the road may be difficult. I believe it will be an interesting contest, with both sides vying for victory. I suppose we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
Terrible defense from Cadiz and Bilbao took advantage of those opportunity and they are leading the scorecard by 3 goals to 1 but the problem with Bilbao is that Yuri Berchiche received his second yellow card for the match and now they are reduced to 10 man in the field and Bilbao will be trying their best to hold on the lead and i am expecting Cadiz to score alteast one more time.

Edit: Another terrible defense from Cadiz and Bilbao scored again  Cheesy.

The main issue with the bid from ICC is that they don't have any qualifying tournament. They want teams to be selected on the basis of ICC ranking, which is biased towards the full members. IOC wants a fair pathway for all the competing nations and they will definitely shoot down this obscene proposal from the ICC. And perhaps this is exactly what the ICC want.
Even now the schedule is full and every player is complaining that they are not getting enough rest and in that instance how can the ICC allocate a qualifying tournament for the ICC. The solution should be, there should be a qualification round like the Test Championships and the team should be ranked and picked for the Olympics according to that ranking rather than conducting a separate tournament.

The sole reason FIFA has implemented rules to participate in the Olympics is because they do not want the Olympics to be bigger than the World Cup and ICC should follow that guideline.

Suddenly got amazed with Bader and Fedor records. Fedor has been fighting since 2000 and got 47 fights. Quite a lot at first I thought. But then I've looked on Bader record - 38 mma fights since 2007. I though old Fedor got a lot of fights, turns out Bader isnt far away from him. Never thought that is so much experienced.
Fedor Emelianenko was in his prime well before 2010 and after his first loss against Fabrício Werdum he lost two other fights in a row against top fighters during that time and then fought some sub par opponents to have a feel good moment before making his retirement but still 47 fights is a huge number while Bader never took a long break in his career and if Bader plays according to his strength which is wrestling he will win the fight.

I was just curious if anyone remember Matt Mitrione.  I went to highschool with him and he dated my sisters best friend so he'd be over at my house from time to time.  He was an amazing football player (american football), played in the NFL for a bit but man he had a really solid UFC career. He fought when I was much more in to UFC, and loved watching him fight as he's a heavyweight who throws insanely strong hooks.
I remember his debut as Matt Mitrione was given to Kimbo Slice as a sacrificial lamb but he made a mess to the plans of UFC by taking Kimbo to the ground and defeating him considerably and messed up my bet as Kimbo was hyped up and Matt was literally making his debut and he could have stayed in the UFC but he choose to wait for better offers and signed with Bellator and i was expecting him to become a champion because of the lack of depth in the division in Bellator but age is catching up with him as he is in a loosing streak.

Since i watched him from the start of his career, he looks like a friendly jovial person who enjoys life, is he the same in real life  Smiley.

It is going to be very interesting to see Conor McGregor and Tony Ferguson. I do think that Conor McGregor is well past his prime. But I still think he has the capability of making people interested in UFC. After all, he has most of the highest selling pay per view of all time in the UFC. So, his being involved is going to be very good for the UFC. And he's also going to be doing that with Tony Ferguson. You know, how crazy both of them can be.
Conor McGregor is not well past his prime, he is fighting the top ranked fighters and lost and whenever he fights, he will be attracting a large crowd and almost all of his fights are the highest selling PPV in the UFC. Tony Ferguson is on a 5 fight loosing streak and McGregor chose a good comeback fight and hopefully he will be calling out Nate Diaz for his trilogy and if he is willing to fight RDA and then retire.
