WOW! Muhammad Ali's grandson turned to MMA, which was very wild I guess he surely likes MMA more than Boxing that was all, but it was a great event for the PFL, and right now that we don't have a UFC event this week, it's good that we can able to watch some MMA action in different fighting sports,
Have you watched the event, i am yet to watch them. How was the performance by Muhammad Ali's grandson. Is he good at striking and how was his overall fighting ability.

Glad that i did not place a bet, i thought of having a parlay after seeing the interview from Ali Abdelaziz as most of his fighters were in the PFL event and hence the odds were not that great and i had two big losses recently in FIFA World Cup, i thought of not placing the bet and i was lucky because i would have placed a bet on Kayla Harrison to win as she won twice against Larissa Pacheco and Ali Abdelaziz was hyping the fight and was planning to call out Cris Cyborg Cheesy.

After England showed a very convincing performance in their first mathc of this world cup i have to say that their performance today was pretty disappointing to me and that i was also surprised that England had such a hard time today against the USA. It was a pretty even game in terms of the statistics too, so i would say that the draw was not lucky for the US but a very deserved result for that game.
When England scored goals left and right against Iran, i expected them to score against USA as well but to my surprise, USA played really well and they were more attacking than England and their defense was crisp and not allowing any open space near the box.

Now England can still be eliminated if they lose their last match against Wales and if there is no draw in the match of USA vs. Iran. I can imagine that England is feeling a lot of pressure now and it will be very interesting to watch them play against Wales.
Against Wales i do not think England will be having a problem but the problem with England is that in World Cup history they are the team that has more 0-0 score, once they open the account scoring a goal they will probably go for more, if not it usually ends in a draw, which might be an issue moving forward.
743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTX collapse: Good or bad for crypto in the long run? on: November 25, 2022, 06:53:50 PM

This looks like another Mt. Gox situation, so it's likely things will be better in the long run after the dust settles. But I'm not so sure, especially when governments are now seeing crypto as a threat to the existence of Fiat (something they didn't think about when crypto was in its early years).
The biggest problem is the trust issue with the new investors. When you see big exchanges getting shut down this easily and that too with a valuation of $50 billion when a bunch of kids played with the money they raised, it is not a great example. The biggest issue we might be facing is the strict regulations every government will be planning to implement after the fall of FTX, privacy will be a dream.

Target was good from India but Newzealand chased it very easily. India need good bowling, we saw Indian bowling struggling in semi final of T20 World Cup and same is happened today. Kane Williamson and Tim are simply Unstoppable today.
Full credits to Washington Sundar for taking the team total above 300 as the team was moving at a slow pace and were 254 in the 46th over but New Zealand played really well and chased the total with ease. Tom Latham should have allowed Kane Williamson to score his century as well  Cheesy.

Rishabh Pant failed again and i would like to see him take a break and give opportunity to other players as he was really struggling during his stay at the crease.

One more thing, with so much T20 the ODI really look boring now.
I do agree, it looks like things are dragging a bit longer with ODI. I never thought i would say this when the format started, i thought it will be restricted to T20 leagues Cheesy.

After I started martial arts, I started to follow UFC for about 2 seasons. I've watched a few old Jon Jones fights, this guy fights really smooth, was he always heavyweight?
Jon Jones is the youngest champion in UFC history and he dominated the Light Heavyweight division and now he is moving up to Heavy Weight for the first time.

I also know that he banned from the UFC because of doping steroids, if that's not true, can you tell me why you left because he's younger.
He was not banned for doping steroids, he was banned when he was arrested for hit and run and he was forced to vacate his title. I still believe he tested positive for benzoylecgonine and it is not a secret that he is a wild person who does cocaine and parties till he gests wasted one week before his fights and the thing he got popped is a metabolite of cocaine.

~
If that's the case, I'm really hoping it's Francis Ngannou. I don't fancy seeing Bladyes getting knocked out, as I just don't think he could beat Jones. That's assuming that Jones is still at his best. He's at a decent amount of time off, and he isn't getting any younger. Although, he's just got such raw talent that I just don't think Curtis would fare well.
In Heavy Weight most of the fighters are above 35 years and Jon Jones is in that age range and younger than Francis Ngannou even though he dominated everyone for over a decade. The only way Jon Jones gets defeated is a knockout as they all hit hard but he is a master at maintaining distance. He will use his patented oblique kick which will mess up the knees for these heavy fighters and anyone who faced him in the past are never the same after facing him and only Daniel Cormier is an exception.

~
Yeah, don't get me wrong they're both already quite accomplished. However, Khabib was definitely accomplished before coming the UFC. He was the world champion, I think twice. He basically only has one loss as far as I know in a relatively long Sambo career.
I have not seen his official Sambo record but in one of the podcast Josh Thomson said that Khabib has over 250 sambo fights which is really crazy.

That said, I've seen Usman tested, but I've never actually seen Khabib tested. It was almost like it was on easy mode. As soon as he decided to take it to the mat, it pretty much ended either with ground, and pound or via a submission moments later. Honestly, if I was to compare anyone it would be Chimaev, even though I'm not a massive fan of him personally due to his personality more than anything, at least the way he portrays himself.
I am following the sport for a very long time and there was a time when Jon Jones used to win easily during his early days and Georges St-Pierre was another fighter who fights safe even though his background was Karate he turned to Wrestling even then he used to have bloody battles but not Khabib Nurmagomedov, no black eye, no cuts or a drop of blood in one of the most brutal sport is astonishing.

Khamzat Chimaev is a different breed, his confidence is high right now but he is not battle tested nor had 250 Sambo fights to his name and against Gilbert Burns he was a bloody mess and when things got tough he was swinging wildly without any technique and you would never see that with Khabib.

All of his coaches and training partners who are not even from Russia would vouch that he never looses a round during training which is crazy and he would literally sink even Middle Weight and Light Heavyweight elite fighters during training and that is the level of competitiveness of Khabib.

Watched some of his Football (Soccer) videos and even in that he refuse to loose  Cheesy.

~
I just wish we could have seen Khabib a little more in the fighting game. He was the best pound-for-pound fighter. No one even came close to him. And also cannot compare him with anyone because no one actually took Khabib to the limit at all.
The fighters who trains with Khabib says we have not seen all his skills which he showed in training inside the cage.

The fact that he had been fighting game for so long, and he had not been even cut once is absolutely amazing. I know we can say that Aslam is a great player right now but honestly, I don’t think anyone is going to disagree with the fact that none of the fighters which Khabib trains would have been able to beat him.
The fighters Khabib trains have deep respect for him and they will never flex against him even if they are World Champions. For the Islam Makhachev fight camp Khabib spent a million dollars for all the fighters he trained in the UAE and he is not taking a penny from them. He is a truly different breed and he even postponed Eagle FC schedules to train them to become champions.

Huge respect to Jiří Procházka for vacating the belt and not holding the division. Jan Błachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev will be fighting for the title fight now because Glover Teixeira declined to fight Magomed Ankalaev in a short notice.

And now, the referee shows the penalty spot. Ronaldo seems to be taking this opportunity.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored the penalty and created history, first player to score in 5 different World Cups and it is historic. After the two upsets with Argentina and Germany, i am not even confident to place any bets as you never know what will happen.

All the Argentina fans in my hometown is waiting for the Brazil match and they are expecting them to get defeated Cheesy. It is a carnival in my hometown with huge bets from Brazil and Argentina fans watching the match under one roof  Cheesy.

Edit: Damn Ghana just scored the equalizer, things are getting really interesting.

Edit: Portugal scores again  Kiss.

Edit: Portugal scores again and now the game is set for them.

It could be some old grudge. but I really don't know know what happen back then they can be very fatal in what they do Conor McGregor crashing Khabib's bus, and Khabib going outside the octagon to go bust some of McGregor's minions
Since you touched this topic, the incident happened because Artem Lobov was cornered by Khabib because he was talking shit about him in an interview he gave to a Russian channel and the anti climax is that Artem Lobov is suing Conor McGregor claiming that he needs to pay him millions because he claims was a co owner in his proper 12 whiskey Cheesy.

~
All good fighters, but aren't on the level of Khabib. That might change with experience, but Khabib was a special fighter, not just in the UFC he has quite the background in Sambo, and I believe was also undefeated in that also off the top of my head.

I'm not looking for a next Khabib though, he's a outlier you don't get many undefeated fighters that dominate in such a way. Jon Jones would be the other which I'm hearing rumours of him having a fight in the new year. Has to be Ngannou for me, but I know he had surgery on his knees, so not sure if he'll be ready.
Andrew Tate said it best, you cannot defeat someone like Khabib who trains allah trains allah trains allah kind of person Cheesy. Referring to his dedication of just training and prayers and no other distraction.

It is official Jon Jones is coming back for UFC 285 on March 5. The opponent is most probably Francis Ngannou and if he is not available then there will be an interim belt with either Ciryl Gane or Curtis Blaydes.

I think it was free and live on the BellatorMMA channel, so you could watch the whole event including the Usman Nurmagomedov VS Patricky Pitbull I really don't know why Bellator is doing this for free
That was a bummer, when the fight started, i even went to the official youtube channel you posted and i did not see any live event and i did not know it was available for free, when i clicked the link above it says that the video is not available in my region. If i knew that the fight was available in their Youtube channel i would have tried using a VPN Cry .

~
I wonder if we ever see him in UFC Cheesy Here are how things are going to be, Makhachev will make several lightweight title defences, and all of a sudden Usman will appear in UFC. Then, when Usman will have a series of wins in UFC, Makhachev will retire and make title vacant. Someone will hold for two years, until Usman get a title fight and brings the belt back to Dagestan. Khabib has held belt for 2 years, Makhachev will hold it also for 2 or 3 years. It will be enough for Usman to be in belt race Cheesy
That might be the timeline and from what i understand Islam Makhachev will be defending his title for a few years and then he will move up to Welterweight division and try to become a double champion and by that time you might see Usman Nurmagomedov moving to the UFC as he is really young right now, just 24 years old.

It looks like many bets will fail for those who place for Argentina. Indeed Argentina has a number of star players who played at big clubs, but Saudi Arabia saw a lot of changes in the match against Argentina under Herve Renard, the former coach of the Moroccan national team.

62 minutes already in the second half. What happened and what next?
Never expected Saudi to score goals against Argentina let alone expect them to lead, i have no idea what is going on and with the way things are going Saudi could draw the match and if so majority of the bets placed are for Argentina to win and even i am in two minds whether to cash out my bets. If they are able to defeat Argentina it would be the biggest upset. Twenty minutes left in the match and Argentina needs some magic to win this match from this situation.

Edit: Sadly i have to cash out at a huge loss, trusted Argentina to win easily against a team like Saudi . Angry

Australia set England a target of 256 runs. The England team came down to bat and were held hostage by the Australian bowlers. England team is under a lot of pressure in batting.
Australia set a target of 356 runs and England is struggling big time and it is a matter of time England would face another massive defeat as they already lost 7 wickets.

Australia looks like they have set with the new opening pair of Travis Head and David Warner and they are playing really well and today they both scored centuries and this will be the opening pair Australia will be continuing till the next ODI World Cup.

Pant batting at the top order is a nice move due to his gameplay, just give him 5-6 matches if he fails then others are waiting in line.
Pant will be under a lot of pressure as he needs to perform in the opening slot to get a spot in the T20 format because when Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul returns he wont be having that opening slot to experiment.

Kane Williamson is out injured and he is their best bet to perform consistently and i hope we will see a competitive match than a one sided encounter .

India haven't made brilliant start, the presence of  Suryakumar Yadav have helped to reach good target. If they weren't able to make the big target surely this could've been a win for New Zealand. In the match, the Indian bowlers had good target and the same made them play without pressure. This helped them win the match easily by a big margin.
High total might be a reason and they were under pressure to maintain the run rate, but they batted terribly, they lost the openers pretty quickly and only Kane Williamson played well in the match and the rest of the batsman were throwing away their wicket.

AFAIK Bankman-Fried left the train at the right moment and is unlikely to be held accountable for the bankruptcy/scam of FTX. I didn't dive deep enough into the story to figure out whether it was mismanagement of funds or a scam, though, so I don't really have an opinion on that.
Mismanagement of funds is a straight up scam, using user funds to purchase homes for advisors and employees. Last October FTX raised $420 million and SBF took $300 million for his personal use and you still cannot have an opinion regarding a dumb paper billionaire  Grin.

Not long ago SBF offered Elon Musk $2 billion liquid when he was planning to take over Twitter and now he filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and not Chapter 7  Cheesy.

Their exchange wallets are compromised all of a sudden and millions of dollars worth of coins vanished

People from Bahama were able to withdraw even when they disabled the rest to escape from the regulators in Bahamas and now they tweet that Bahamian withdrawals were illegal and asking exchanges to return those funds.

Quote
When will Sam Bankman-Fried go to jail?
Do Kwon is in jail? no, he is not! And I guess that Sam won't go to jail either.
Do Kwon mess up is a different one, he launched a shit coins created hype, withdraw millions of dollars and then his fairy coin failed miserably and it was doomed from the start because of the stupid algorithm based stable currency. SBF might not go to jail like all the other bankers because he is one of the biggest donor to Dems this election Wink.

The first goal was clearly offside, and most of us seem to be missing the new Offside rules, which state that when a keeper is out of his box, the last defender becomes the keeper, and you need at least two defenders to make it onside. However, there was only one defender behind the goalkeeper in this case. It was a good call.
Twitter was bursting with disbelief and churning up another conspiracy theory when VAR said it was an offside. Expecting a lot of trolls claiming that Qatar paid the VAR review team to disallow that goal  Cheesy.

All the accusation about Qatar bribing Ecuador players and they are now winning the match easily. The Qatar defense was terrible and the goalie made some terrible mistakes in this match.

India finally managed to make a good target of 191 ,what an outstanding batting by Suryakumar Yadav  111 runs just 51 balls . What a fine batsman he's, now it's Newzealand turn and they will definitely have tough time in chasing target . Right now they are on  53 for 1 wicket RRR is 12 so this seems like a win for India.
India wins whenever Suryakumar Yadav is performing since his debut he is one of the most consistent performer in the team. India won by 65 runs and India does perform in bilateral series but during ICC tournaments they always fail to win the tournament.

Rishabh Pant was sent to open the innings and i had my expectations to be the next Adam Gilchrist from India to take advantage of the power overs and he failed miserably once again as an opener  Cheesy. The selectors should accept the fact that Rishabh Pant is more of an ODI and Test player than a T20 player.
755  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too many chickens own BTC. Don't be a chicken, HODL! BE A LION. on: November 19, 2022, 09:58:41 PM
Be a lion. Have the mentality of a lion, not the one of a chicken. Come back to this thread in 10 years and tell me I was wrong. Better fail as a lion than run as a chicken. This is my mentality folks, hope many of you think the same.
BTCitcoin is created to be used as a currency and not to HOLD till eternity. You are contradict your statements, if 1 BTC = 1 BTC then what is your point of holding and not using it as a currency  Tongue.

1 BTC = 1 BTC. That's all you need to know. Less drama, live longer.

I've never sold a satoshi since 2013. I know BTC will rise back and one day will hit the 100k and beyond. In a way I'm glad this is happening, more strong hands and less chickens. HODL! Hoping to buy more if it gets down to 10k.
I wish there are more users that use them as a currency rather than a speculative asset. So you claim that you are a $100k chicken because you would eventually sell only at that valuation  Wink. There is nothing wrong in being smart and taking advantage of the market situation and play by the simple rules of buy low and sell high.
756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Qatar bribed 8 players from Ecuador for the opening match on: November 19, 2022, 06:39:46 PM
It looks like Qatar bribed eight Ecuadorian players for $7.4 millions to lose the wold cup opener. And this isn't weird to me, i mean if they already pay a shit ton of money to have the world cup in their country then we can expect from this world cup to be the most corrupt event in the Soccer history.
I see these reports in many newspapers but i could not still find any evidence for these scandals but just a twitter message from a British based Bahraini who always turn up with controversial topics and the media is trumpeting this rumor. There is a lot of criticism showered against Qatar from the start when they won the bid and this is just a continuation of those attacks to tarnish their reputation because this is the first time the World Cup is conducted in an Arab country.

So Congratulation to the new Lightweight Champion Usman Numagomedov, but congratulations as well to Patricky Pitbull aswell,
I wanted to watch the fight live but unfortunately it was not available to stream them with all the premium memberships i have and was only able to watch highlights of the Usman Numagomedov fight in youtube and i was certain he was going to win but i would love to watch them live. Umar and Usman being brothers has much better stand up game and their kicking game and distance control is awesome and the lightweight division is taken over by Dagestan and the next champion would be probably Umar Nurmagomedov in the Bantamweight division.

After 25-27 overs England lost the regular wicket. What happened to England? They won the T-20 world cup few days ago but their performance showed last 2 matches they didn’t deserve that.
England is still in the T20 mode and two of their main players are not playing in this tournament especially their batting strong hold Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes. Dawid Malan scored a century in the last match and today he went for a duck and meanwhile Australia is playing with their best players and getting out the frustration of not getting into the semi finals in the T20 World Cup  mainly due to weather and bad luck.

So we not surprise when elon reach into his deep pocket to buy twitter in billion dollar. Because he have unlimited money.
Elon Musk might be the riches person but purchasing Twitter for $44 billion was a blunder and these social media platforms always leaks money because in the past two decades, how many social media platforms came and died along the way and even the richest person wont be having that much liquid money to play around as many people invested in the platform when Elon took over.

If if any billionaire thinks about purchasing bitcointalk for bragging rights, no way theymos is going to sell.

These matches are again affected by the rain as we have witnessed already in the recent T20 world cup in Australia.  I wanted to see this match between the two good teams but rain just ruined the match.
I wanted to see this match for a different reason, the star players of India are rested and i wanted to see how Umran Malik would bowl in these pitches in New Zealand and how Sanju Samson would perform but the question would be whether he will get a spot in the team with Rishabh Pant being the vice captain. Heard reports that Rishabh Pant will be opening the innings because he could exploit the power play and if that is a fact, then that would be great to see how the performs in a new role.
