1041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 16, 2022, 09:53:43 PM
It was a night that ended really early, I didn't expect it to end so soon, even I thought it was more likely to see five rounds for the main, both fighters who have proven their endurance. Ortega is someone who fought Volkanovski in five rounds. Very unfortunately, Ortega's shoulder popped out. Rodriquez said it was a misfortune and said he would do whatever the UFC decided. If Rodrigez won this game, he wanted to figth with Volkanovski. I think this match should be repeated
It was an unfortunate main event and i expected to be a great fight but ended too soon due to an injury and i expected Brian Ortega to win the fight but Yair Rodríguez won the fight without much sweat and he should fight for the belt rather than waiting for the rematch.

Before the fight Amanda Lemos said she would win by submission and i expected her to win the fight by strikes but she showed her ground skills and won by submission.

Li Jingliang fight was a great one as Muslim Salikhov was dominating the fight but Li Jingliang was able to connect with some beautiful strikes and win the fight.

Fight of the night will be Matthew Christopher Schnell and Su Mudaerji, it was a wild exchange till it lasted and Schnell showed his chin even though his legs were giving up and he fired back and won the fight, one of the best fight this year.

I'm beginning to wonder whether Bitcoin has a long-term future, now that much of the world's nations are caught up in this 'climate' hysteria, and want to ban proof-of-work protocols, like Bitcoin, which they claim is harmful to the environment.

Looks familiar as we get these FUD whenever there is a market correction, go through the archives in this forum and you will see many RIP eulogy in this forum how BTCitcoin is dead and will never rally again and we see these fear mongers all the time. If you trust the decentralized market there is nothing to worry as it will move on year in and year out even with all these FUD.

I deserve if the T20 World Cup was not too far away then they would have given a chance to some other player. Currently BCCI thinking about Kohli. Some experts expect someone instead of kohli, while many experts think he should be played. But naturally Kohli will have the place as he is an experienced player Where there is no one equal with him in the current Indian team.
There is plenty of players in the bench that could perform better than Virat Kohli considering his present form where he is struggling to score runs. He was batting well for a very long time and he is going through a rough patch and it will take time to recover and the best players always recovers from this slump in form.

~
I think he got caught up too much in the political stuff outside cricket. Now he has to realize that he needs to get back in form quickly. Or he will be replaced.
All the players go through these situation and the best players always find a solution to overcome this bad form. Virat Kohli has to find a way to overcome his technical weakness because he bats with a heavy bottom hand and he is not picking the length of the ball like he used to if you go through all of his dismissals after the lockdown.

Ireland's win against New Zealand is not easy. Ireland have lost two matches in a row before this and this match was against New Zealand by just one run.New Zealand is a very good team for ODIs.And yes indeed the match was very enjoyable I enjoyed this game very much.
Ireland lost two matches by narrow margin, matches where they could have won and the never die attitude of Ireland players was a change because at the start of the tournament i thought New Zealand will have an easy victory but Ireland proved otherwise and even in this chase they needed to get 360 runs and i never thought Ireland would reach anywhere there but they almost reached the total and lost by a single run which will be disappointing for them but they showed their fighting spirit in the series.

Not sure from where you got this information. There was some turmoil in Zimbabwe, after the players accused the board of corruption. But no such allegation was ever levelled against Kenya. Actually the ICC reduced the funding for Kenya, but kept that of Zimbabwe at the same level. I don't see the point in funding corrupt boards such as Zimbabwe cricket. If that money was divided among the top 10 teams in Africa, then we will be having at least 4-5 quality teams within a decade or so.
I used to follow global political during 90s and 2k till the news channels became a circus, so i am sure you will get the information regarding Kenyan politics around that period online. There was match fixing allegations against their key players during 2004 and there was a dispute between the players and the Kenyan Cricket board and the government even dissolved the board during that time if you are not aware of that. Corruption was the main reason and to expect ICC to keep on funding them is ridiculous.
1046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: July 15, 2022, 07:13:36 AM
^^^ Africa would have become a power house in cricket. If you remember, back in 2003 World Cup Kenya reached the semi-finals, shocking many of the well established teams. But due to the lack of support from the ICC, they went down from there. ICC funding was reduced for the associate nations, and whatever funding was left, was diverted to teams such as UAE and Oman which packed their team with foreigners. Now Namibia is the only strong team from the continent, apart from the two test nations. Teams such as Kenya and Uganda, which showed a lot of promise previously have become irrelevant.
Why blame ICC for the debacle in Kenya, are you aware of the political situation during that period, corruption and political changes were happening during that period in Kenya and the political situation were not that great and till 2008, that situation continued affecting everything. So to blame ICC for the political instability which will directly affect all sports is unwarranted  Cheesy. Not sure when Uganda played any significant games at the highest level but Kenya had some good players in the past.

For Bellator 283 that is coming next weekend Usman Nurmagomedov finally got strong opponent Chris Gonzalez like he asked.
Nurmagomedov has perfect 14-0 record and I am sure he can be in fight for the tile of Lighweight division in Bellator.
It's strange that Dana White didn't snatch him to UFC already.
Chris Gonzalez is a really strong opponent and will be a challenge in the feet as he finished his last opponent with strikes and has a background in wrestling and hence it will be an interesting fight. The reason Usman Nurmagomedov did not sign with the UFC is because he fights in 155 pound division and they have Islam Makhachev coming up the ranks in the 155 pound division and to avoid that clash they took the wise decision to join Bellator and hopefully later in his career once Islam Makhachev retires he will make his debut in the UFC.
1048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the highest APY you have ever seen on a project? on: July 14, 2022, 08:29:46 PM
Celcius offered almost ponzi amount of APY before which is greater than 1000% but of course it decreases whenever the number of tokens staked increase. Most of the project offering insane APY are startup and they are doing this to attract investors to buy there tokens with a promised of huge return by holding and staking. In reality, this kind of huge APY will fail over time because it will cause an over supply that’s why many tokens always suffer huge dump after offering this kind of insane passive profit.
Even if the project wants to provide a good amount of APY you cannot expect that to last for a long time if you are able to attract more users to stake the token and with more users the APY will drop considerably because the reward pool of tokens for anyone staking is constant but the number of users staking can be variable, so it moves accordingly.

I have seen the poor performance of the Bangladesh team in T20 and Test series. No player on the team has consistently performed well. But in the ODI format, I see another Bangladesh team. Bangladesh dominated and won both the ODI matches. Their performance in today's match was remarkable. They lost just 1 wicket and reached the target. I have not seen such a good performance of the Bangladesh team for a long time.
It was a dominating victory and when Bangladesh won the first match easily, i thought it was a good win but never thought they would repeat the same performance in the second game, but they surprised me with their performance in the second game as well with dominating the West Indies batsman and then chasing the score relatively easily and they won the series which is historic.

If I will have to be positive about bitcoin price, I always think that this year will only be full of bear market, that makes me still continue to think that it is possible the price of bitcoin may drop more, drop more in order to rise more in the years to come. All I am thinking is that a significant rise like that may not occur before halving, halving will be in 2024, not 2023. Is it possible for bitcoin to reach all-time-time by next year before bitcoin halving?
Even in the article they are not claiming that the price would rally by 2023, they are also expecting the market to recover by 2024 and that is when the next halving happens and before that it is impossible to think that we would see another market rally considering we know how the market usually performs throughout its existence and the best bet for the next rally is halving and it would be wishful thinking if anyone thinks we would see before that .

Two lopsided matches today - ENG vs IND and NZ vs IRE. India won by 10 wickets against England and New Zealand is on course for a massive win against Ireland. A little bit of wobble for New Zealand right now, after Henry Nicholls got out trying for an unwanted run. Overall, it was a bad day for the Europeans. And in case of Ireland, they are in bad position as far as the World Cup Super League is concerned. They needed at least one win from this series, and looks as if they will not get it. After this match they will just have 68 points from 20 matches.
India won a crucial toss and the bowlers showed why they are world class opening bowling partners and they ripped out the England batting lineup and it was an easy chase for India and i doubt England board will be making pitches like this for the rest of the series.

New Zealand won the match, but they are struggling against Ireland. Even in the last match, if not for the innings from Michael Bracewell who took the team home in the last over and he played the important innings tonight as well, the rest of the players are struggling to build partnership which should be worrying for them.

like India not playing against Pakistan, but ICC can't do anything which is surely a problem and ICC can use their power, but they are not doing anything.

Like in other sports associations they can pursue them for playing at neutral places which can bring positive things but here they are enjoying this all and still have mind like divide and rule policy.
You are not trying to understand the power ICC has in bilateral tournaments, since these topics keeps on arising, ICC cannot enforce any team to play bilateral series, respective boards have to take that decision, ICC will only officiate the match if a match takes place. If India or Pakistan or any other team refuses to play in a tournament ICC conducts then they can take any decision but as everyone knows, India and Pakistan will play ICC tournaments with any issue and in that situation ICC cannot do anything out of the box even if they want to see them play bilateral series.

~
Well, in that case, the cricket boards are responsible. This is because there is no reason why they should not let the team perform in the Olympics or against smaller teams. In the same vein, big teams and boards like BCCI should stop thinking of themselves as premium. Instead, they should start thinking about how to make the game better in the long run.
BCCI showed its support for the ICC in including Cricket for the 2028 Olympics and from what i understand they will be pitching the proposal to the Olympic committee and hopefully we will see Cricket in the Los Angeles Olympics or in the next Brisbane Olympics in 2032.
1053  Economy / Speculation / Re: “When” Will Bitcoin Price Break $69k All Time High? on: July 10, 2022, 05:57:38 PM
No one can provide you with an answer,  they will answer you once that happens, bitcoin price prediction is impossible. However, people can tell you that there will be a new ATH created in the future and $69k will be broken in the future.  The only thing we can do is wait patiently for it to arrive, but in the meantime, we should do our best to collect as many bitcoins as possible .
For people to invest now they should have the hope that the price would rally again and break another all time high when the market recovers, if not for that hope no one will be investing at this price  Wink. I am not expecting any major changes in the next two years and the only expectation is the next halving for the market to have any momentum and hopefully the market will rally.

And undoubtedly New Zealand will win all the matches. The Irish team is not strong. There are no experienced players in the team. But there are some talented batsmen in Ireland. So New Zealand's bowlers must play well. Only then will New Zealand be able to dominate and win all the matches.
I was having the same thoughts but when Ireland started to pile up runs in the final few overs i knew it is going to be a good match but then what surprised me is that Ireland was able to pick wickets at the top order and New Zealand was struggling as they already lost their 7th wicket chasing a huge target of 301 runs and with 3 wickets left, i would be surprised if New Zealand can win the match from this situation  Grin.

Edit:
Michael Bracewell played the game single handedly and took the game away from Ireland, one hell of an innings.
1055  Economy / Economics / Re: Sri Lanka Economic Crisis is Getting Worse on: July 10, 2022, 04:34:39 PM
What the Srilankan masses have done today is a revolution to change the political class that in their view was responsible for all these economic failures. But the problem is that there is no leader for this revolution, and it is not organized but rather spontaneous, not led by an enlightened elite capable of finding a way out for the country from the bottleneck.
These things happen when you are not having proper food and water nor cooking gas. The entire country was struggling as you are not able to purchase anything even if you are having money and if there is a situation like that, people will obviously revolt because these situations were created by the bad policy changes by the ruling government and hence people are chasing them around.

This guy seems to claim every win of India to be a fixed match. He doesn't have any proof or perfect reason stating it to be a fixed match.
I am sure they are trolling by making these claims because i see these absurd claims every now and then .

India played well in the second T20 as well but i was expecting England to play better but they are struggling with the team they are having. England is batting first tonight and hopefully they will set an huge total with the way they are scoring right now.

I still expect a convincing victory for Djokovic.
I was expecting the match to be a dominant victory for Novak Djokovic but there are huge bets coming in for the past few hours for Nick Kyrgios to win the match and i have counted over a million dollars in multiple sports book and the odds even changed and came down before the match started. So i am hesitant to wage a bet as huge bets came in for Nick Kyrgios to win in the past few hours. Lets see how the match goes.

The problem is FIFA is not controlled by a certain number of teams.  FIFA is the one who decides what is going to happen in football. But in cricket, every decision that ICC takes is influenced by the big 4. But I think If ICC wants, they can change and they will be able to assert dominance over all the teams quite quickly. ICC needs to make substantial plans for cricket going forward. And also include cricket in the Olympics. Cricket is never going to have popularity like football but it can certainly improve.
People watch Football during World Cups and Euro Tournaments and i think majority are forgetting that. The major crowd pulling matches in Football are club tournaments and FIFA has nothing to do with those which is played every year.

For Cricket to get included in the Olympics the respective boards has to support the decision of ICC and only a major collaborative decision can make changes and ICC cannot take decisions single handedly nor does any sports body FYI.
1059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Roller coasters!!! on: July 09, 2022, 08:38:21 PM
The market is very volatile in this month like a roller coaster movement, Is the roller coaster movement in the money market both the price of bitcoin & ethereum whale controlling it?
You can take any metric to analyze the current market trend, the fact is that no single entity could control the market and it is evident as institutional investors are at a huge loss who invested billions and if it was that easy to control the market they would have done that. Every rally has to end and you end up having a bear market for a while, survive and keep on accumulating for the next rally should be the aim if you are looking forward to make profit in this market.

Srilanka internal situation is getting worse. Today people occupied Srilankan president House, hoping that this tour will continue and end peacefully. Thanks to solid knock by Dimuth Karunaratne and Kusal Mendis, Srilanka are now in very good position. Srilanka so far performed too good against mighty Australian.
Situation in Sri Lanka is getting worse by the day and the president is in exile. They created this situation and they have no idea how to handle them and the people are protesting for the past few months.

In the match Sri Lanka is in a really good position and as long as Angelo Mathews who is a consistent performer for them they will be pilling up runs as they still trail by 180 runs and couple of good partnerships will put them in a good lead and the wicket is going to turn in the last two days considering how Sri Lankan spinners were able to extract spin from the first day.
