3182  Economy / Gambling / Re: PrimeDice.com | The New Way to Roll | Lowest House Edge (1%) | Instant Betting on: June 25, 2013, 05:17:37 PM
Oh, Thanks. hehe. I got it. Now you just need a proper api or something that makes primedice-on-crack or something, to auto-bet 1000 bets with one click.

We're working on a new version of PD, will be out when it is perfect.
3183  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: *FREE BTC* -PrimeDice.com Giveaway Thread - 0.001-0.003 EA *FREE BTC* on: June 25, 2013, 04:10:19 AM
Next round will hopefully be going out late tonight, get your free btc!

On another note, please do not abuse this system. You can enter once a week  Smiley. We can tell if you make an alt account to enter again.
Wait, do I understand correctly that you can enter the free BTC-giveaway weekly? Is this for the no-strings 0.001, the PrimeDice-account 0.001 and the twitter-0.001? Pinch me to make sure I'm not dreaming! Shocked

/edit/ In that case >

BTC > 1JAq8s3JnACoqpVfKQCsQ8agFK4q2qzbwt
PrimeDice > xminerx
Twitter > @xminerx

Heh, you can probably get away with entering once every few days. The twitter/account reward is only given once though  Wink

Sending out those bonuses shortly, and yeah I'd like to add that again in the near future. It's just difficult to prevent bots from abusing the system too much.

Bots, Bots sucks.

Make it like, Bonus once per IP per 12 hours. Verify integrity of the incoming requests also.

Will look into all possible methods to prevent abuse, we want to make it so people can claim it a few times if they wish just not 100s of times.

People on IRC are trying to talk me out of buying a Lambo due to reliability issues Sad

This makes me sad. Some one tell me I'm being trolled.
All the Italian supercars are pretty crazy unreliable and are kinda known for catching fire.  Something like a Porsche 911 Turbo is more "practical" as these things go though admittedly not as flashy.  I would personally never buy a Lambo since I'd prefer to drive a car that didn't break every 5000 miles but to each they're own.

It really depends on if you're buying it for the flashiness or for the actual performance, if you just want a really fast and expensive car a Porsche or a Nissan GT-R would be crazy fast and relatively reliable (I'm not saying they're super reliable compared to a regular car, but for a super high performance car they're going to be crazy more reliable than anything italian)

Reliability all depends on how much you're going to be using it. Many buyers simply put 10-20k Miles on it and never see any issues. If you want a lambo I say go for it as long as you aren't driving it every day, just make sure you're not buying one with too many miles. A lambo with a "bitcoin" plate on it would certainly turn quite a few heads!  Smiley

That goes without saying that you'd have to keep up the maintenance of the car which I've heard is usually about $1/Mile

Yes, June 30th!

Just tried it, rolls vary from 5-10 seconds for me.

Will do temp fix tonight, permanent fix soon. We're hiring a few PHP devs to help improve the site as our developer has been extremely busy.
3192  Economy / Services / Re: Hiring PHP Dev for various projects on: June 22, 2013, 10:11:03 PM
Have found one person who contacted me Via PM, will set him up with a project then will probably contact more. If you post here make sure you post certain info such as your skill level and experience etc.

Post here and I will PM you when I need you
3193  Economy / Gambling / Re: PrimeDice.com | The New Way to Roll | Lowest House Edge (1%) | Instant Betting on: June 22, 2013, 08:01:34 PM

You didn't answer this however :

"*I was playing a 50/50 and simply doubling my bid everytime I won. Eventually I got to betting 8coins. So I pressed the button not thinking. I got a nice error saying its past the maximum bid and then it betting 4btc my previous bet anyways."

Is this a bug or do you simply have no limit for it?

Don't quite understand this question, our max individual bet payout is 10BTC. We do indeed have a limit.
3194  Economy / Services / Hiring PHP Devs for various projects on: June 22, 2013, 07:43:49 PM
Looking to hire multiple people who are professional and proficient in PHP. You will be working on various projects for PrimeDice.com as our current developer has been very busy and is unable to do all of the work himself. You would be our secondary devs and pick up some of the slack.

Pay will be fair/negotiable depending on how well of a job you do and your skill level. Payment can be made in BTC or USD either on an hourly or project basis depending on the situation.

Send me a PM or post here if you are confident in your abilities. Most of the projects we're working on should be a lot more fun than a typical code gig.  Smiley
Other skills such as jquery or proficiency in other languages would be a plus but not 100% needed.

Gotta say after using your site im quite disappointed for many reasons

  • It takes nearly forever for a bet to happen
  • You have a maximum bid that doesn't work*
  • You cant go back and view older bets
  • You promise, Instant Deposits/Instant Withdrawals one of them is not instant. I dont care which you change but its quite clear having to wait for 4 confirmations to withdraw isnt instant. Yes I do understand this point because of people doublespending and all but dont claim its instant.
  • No API

Hey,

Thanks for your remarks, we're working on an overhaul of our back-end to fix most of these issues.

1. Rolls take about 2 seconds at this moment on my end, we're working on fixing the delay and making it consistent and 1 second or less.
2. It is a maximum payout not a maximum bet. At the moment the max pot/bet return is 10 BTC so you can bet 5 BTC on 2X odds at most currently. We're looking to raise this limit soon.
3. You can view older bets by clicking on your name on our inner page table and click "view all previous bets". Our developer was working on some fixes and messed this up temporarily this will be back very soon.
4. Withdrawals are instant on smaller transactions if you bet long enough for your deposit to reach 1 confirmation which happens most of the time, larger withdrawals take longer to prevent potential double-spends. We could potentially lower the # of confs though as I don't think 4 is necessary.
5. We have an API we just haven't made the page you can access all the information public yet, I'll get our dev on that as well.

Our developer is pretty back-logged on a lot of changes we need him to make which resulted in some of the things you mentioned. We're working on everything you mentioned and I'd like to thank you for your suggestions/comments.

My sincerest apologies if your experience was sub par, I'd like to hear more suggestions after we've finished the requested changes.

Best Regards,

Stunna

Prime dice is too intense. Every time I roll, I end up saying to myself YOLO.

I think we all know that feeling too well   Cheesy

Awesome, love these BTC raffles for newbies.

Planning on doing more after this one :-)
3198  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling sites that accepts affiliation on: June 21, 2013, 05:57:11 PM
PrimeDice.com has an affiliate program on an invitation basis only at this moment, planning to make it public in the near future.
3199  Economy / Gambling / Re: PrimeDice.com | The New Way to Roll | Lowest House Edge (1%) | Instant Betting on: June 21, 2013, 05:49:48 PM
Any updates on being able to convert Prime Points?

Also, Everytime I try to change my name it just stays as my User ID, Is there anyway to fix this? Or is it just displayed to other users only?

Cheers

Hey, chances are if it isn't changing it means you are picking something that is longer than our character limit. Try picking a shorter name   Wink

Also Prime Point conversions aren't the first thing on our to-do list but is certainly up there. All points you accumulate right now will make you eligible for conversions. There may be some restrictions like 50btc wagered etc.

Best Regards
