Never did like Dwolla.
3562  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: BITCOIN GAME VirtualMiner on: May 15, 2013, 01:50:43 AM
Post more pics/info, very vague.
3563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be displaced by another mined coin? on: May 15, 2013, 01:50:10 AM
With the abundance of alt-coins this is highly unlikely, but it is certainly a possibility.
3564  Economy / Goods / Re: Coinabul down on: May 15, 2013, 01:48:40 AM
it's down for me, anyone else having issues and just showing the cloudflare cached front page?
I can't find any news or announcements about it.

Down for me as well.
3565  Economy / Services / Re: WTB Signature Ad Space on: May 15, 2013, 01:22:02 AM
Still negotiating via PM or post price here.
3566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So DHS is meddling with exchanges and people are SELLING into USD?!? on: May 15, 2013, 01:20:00 AM
It doesn't matter what is going on, Investors don't like uncertainty.

3569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone going to video stream Bitcoin Conference 2013? on: May 14, 2013, 06:01:41 AM
I hope someone liveblogs/livestreams this, would like to keep up with it. Unable to make it.
3570  Economy / Goods / Re: Physical Bitcoin (Novelty) Awesome Design, Heavy Coins - 1B/5B SOLD OUT on: May 14, 2013, 05:06:46 AM
Your original idea was very neat indeed, a pity it didn't work out.
3571  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Kickstarter on: May 14, 2013, 05:00:39 AM
I'm familiar with existing/previous attempts. I was asking because it seems like none of them are really taking off properly. I feel like this is partly because of how young this economy is. I suppose my main goal in posting the thread would be to encourage this idea. It's one of the only ways we can dissociate from the existing system which I can think of. Perhaps that's just the limit of my imagination.

If you made one with a very solid design, intuitive UI, and had some sort of escrow system which wouldn't cause backers to have to place trust on you initially then I don't see why this wouldn't be a success.

This sort of business structure might not work as well in the bitcoin world though but if you give it your all and the website is solid I'd definitely give it a shot.

Although, getting people to use the site is probably half if not the majority of the trouble...

Good luck to you!
3572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin needs to be simplified for the stupid. on: May 14, 2013, 04:58:23 AM
Agreed, Bitcoin will be a true success the day my grandparents are using it on their own accord.
3573  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyroll's 10 BTC giveaway is a scam, he sent me and others a phishing link on: May 14, 2013, 04:48:39 AM
Can't emphasize how disgusting this is. I'm relatively new and I've received a few phishing links as well via PM. Bitcoins are getting big though and as much as we'd want to think that the quality of the community would remain high, the more people that adopt bitcoins the lower this will fall until it averages out.

Anyways... If it sounds too good to be true..
3574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon coins, Not Bitcoins... on: May 14, 2013, 04:45:17 AM
They are pretty much just vouchers for Amazon purchases, no innovation there

Likely inspired by Bitcoins though.
3575  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Aluminum Casascius Coins at the Bitcoin Foundation Conference on: May 14, 2013, 04:43:02 AM
Wait so you're selling 5000 for 0.5?

Might not be a bad idea to list an auction on here or sell them to users of bitcointalk, would love to fill a swimming pool with those Wink.

Very nice looking, I have to say that I prefer "Vires in Numeris"  over "strength in numbers" though.

Best of luck with the sales and have fun at the conference Smiley
3576  Economy / Services / Re: <?php echo 'I code PHP for Bitcoins'; ?> on: May 14, 2013, 01:02:55 AM
Really love your title, made me smile =).

Bookmarked for future reference.
3577  Economy / Services / WTB Signature Ad Space on: May 14, 2013, 01:00:18 AM
Buying Signature spaces in 1 month blocks for a site I am launching in about a week or less.

The Period will begin at the end of this week, you will keep it up for an entire month and then get paid. (Trusted members may ask for advance payment if desired)

Of course the amount per signature will vary depending on several factors including:
1. Trust on here
2. Frequency of Posts/activity
3. How crowded is your signature (if you are already advertising a site, you will not be paid as much).

I'm accepting any fair offers via PM, have not established any prices at the moment.
Please simply message me how much you want for a month, I'll evaluate the rest myself of course.

Prices will range from 0.01 (new members)  to 0.15 most likely

Thanks Smiley

3578  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I Hacked Bitcoin on: May 14, 2013, 12:47:12 AM
This reminds me of a Nigerian Email scam, "donate to me so I can solve bitcoin's insecurities, hack it and share profits with you. =p"
3579  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Noob Question - Am I Mining? lol on: May 13, 2013, 06:55:44 PM
444 khash/s Huh I don't consider that as mining .... it's just electricity waste.

Even 444 Mhash would be nothing, penny business. You need several Ghash to get some reasonable income.

I mine more in day then you'll in years.

Agreed, you are indeed mining but it isn't really worth it after the utility costs.
3580  Economy / Gambling / Re: ApopheniaBTC - Bet and solve the challenges to win BTC. on: May 13, 2013, 06:54:20 PM
Glad to see you are still keeping this active/updating the pictures regularly. Keep it up!  Wink
