 Jokes aside, graphs/charts are a good guiding factor to help you understand markets but predicting markets is an entirely different thing. I've seen that same graph 100s of times, sometimes it was true and sometimes it wasn't. I wouldn't be concerned over something appearing to look similar to that trend though. After all during the older BTC crashes people showed those same charts and now bitcoins have multiplied many times. |

Personally I'm a bull but I think this whole China situation is being blown far out of proportion at this point.
The $40 increase is simply due to speculation that china will buy and if they are not lining up to buy BTC it will not be ideal.
That being said, here's hoping they do!

Need Coder or Team of coders to set up automated exchange like BTC-E but for BitBar to Ltc and BTC . This team will most likely get bonus to add alt-coins at a later date but we have to start with just exchanging BTC & LTC as soon as eveything is all set up you will also get 25% of transaction fees for the first month.. This is horrible, the bount yis okay, but the payment is horrible, and what would you do instead of taking the credit? To be fair they would be fronting a decently significant risk. Also marketing is the key to success for any new exchange at this point. |

The only price I care about is one that is stable for bitcoins. I only actively look at the market if BTC are below $100 so I can invest more.

Personally I just use Bitcoin QT which has a mac download available. I also use blockchain.info wallet as well.

Thanks for compiling this list, has been quite an interesting read. By far the most peculiar scam I've seen however has been pirate's ponzi scheme. The fact that someone managed to scam 5% of bitcoins in circulation and crash the market is jaw dropping. Also it is crazy to look back and see all the people who supported/defended him back then.
I remember a good real life friend of mine was telling me about pirate before he scammed everyone and wanted to invest all his money with the guy. I was a non-bitcoiner then and to me it just sounded like the most obvious ponzi scheme, so I will never understand how people fell for it to such a great extent.

Hedging with LTC/Alts is certainly a wise strategy. If bitcoin doesn't flourish it has become very clear that some alt currency will.

Hackers love the phrase "That's not allowed", so they find a way to do it. OpenOS was removed from the ps3, so hackers put it back on. I think because the future ps4/xbox720 will have pretty much PC hardware it will be possible with a low level of modification. I am almost certain that the Xbox 720 will be able to run such code without needing Linux, as its OS will be derived from Windows 8 basic, which can already run CGMiner. If it is possible/effective I wonder what effect this will have on mining difficulty. |

I whole heartedly agree.
Also to the people placing these wagers, you need to be more vigilant over what you are actually gambling on. Always better to bet on something that is purely black and white (Will One sports team win a game or the other etc..)
If you leave in room for unexpected half-outcomes you are betting at terrible odds most likely.
In situations like the ones mentioned above, the websites themselves should be held accountable if they approved it and should simply award everyone the prize.
