Cr*p! sold out in less than 10 minutes!

For a start-up bitcoin company that isn't a great best-case-scenario maximum return. Sad
Well you also have to factor in the potential appreciation of the stock
But why would the price appreciate much? Potential buyers will compare Dealcoin's return with those being returned by other securities.

I'm not sure why this 1% monthly maximum was set. Why couldn't dividends rise when profits do?

I wish Dealcoin the best of luck and hope it works out for them, but I don't see the risk/reward being worth it for an investor as the rules have been laid out.

Well a 12% annual return in dividends can be a lot or vey little, depending on which angle you a re looking at it from. For a mining stock, it is very poor as it is an extremely fast-moving and therefore often short-lived market. On the other hand, this can be seen as a long-time enterprise which doesn't depend at all on mining technologies, difficulty increases, etc.

Normally start-ups in the "real world" don't pay out any dividends at the beginning, focusing this way in growth rather than fast returns. It is now up to each investor to decide for himself if he/she prioritizes fast returns vs. long-term business.

P.S. I do agree that the door should be left open for possible future dividend increases in case the company has made enogh profits. However, this should be submitted to investor voting.

I hardly find a valuation @ $150k 'aggressive' these days specially for digital enterprises an $150k valuation is not what investors would consider 'aggressive'if you also consider the fact that I am giving away 40% of the company in the first listing with a 1% guaranteed monthly dividend…

Is that guaranteed dividend also the maximum dividend? Apparently so from your prospectus:

Quote
Dividend Policy

DEALCO will pay a 1% fixed monthly dividend in accordance with the exchange rules and practices based on the 0.01 BTC listing price (0.0001 BTC/month/unit). The dividend will begin on October 31st, 2013 and continue for a period of two years.

Prior to the end of the two year period, Dealcoin will inform DEALCO unit holders of the new dividend policy to be defined at the time.

For a start-up bitcoin company that isn't a great best-case-scenario maximum return. Sad

Well you also have to factor in the potential appreciation of the stock

I believe in this moment time is gold and the immediate availability of the AM blades is a very important point to consider. It's no use if the bitfury/knc miners have better specs if we don't know 100% when they will be available.

Hi thehun. Perhaps I wasn't clear in my wording. It's not necessarily that I want to wait and purchase a mess of new bitfury/knc products to add hashes, but I do want to see what effect bitfury's August shipments and their rapid deployment to their self mining pool (ghash.io) will have on the secondary market. If it further erodes the resale price of used Avalon or BFL gear then that may make more sense. Avalons overclock better and have similar efficiency and while BFL gear doesn't overclock well it's more efficient than any of the currently available options for immediate delivery.

Cheers.

Ok I see your point.

Just one correction though: if this calculation is correct the AM blades are more efficient than the BFL singles:

Price for 4xBFL Single: 4x$2499 = $9996 for 200GH.
Price for 20xAM blades: 3.9btc x 20 x $119 = 9282$ for 200GH (potentially overclockable).

P.D. what do you think about these Bitfury boards?

Edit: I just realized delivery is due for October so I guess it's not worth it

I like the move by AM to lower the price of blades, but I think we can find better opportunities to purchase HW. We should see some results from Bitfury shipping products for August delivery very soon and knc shortly after. I'd like to see how it plays out.

Hi JimiQ84. That's correct, there hasn't been much to vote on. Our last pre-order was for an Avalon B3 and we've been tacking on Avalon & BFL gear from the secondary market since which was approved by shareholder vote.

Cheers.

1194  Economy / Securities / Re: Why are all the stocks going down? on: August 07, 2013, 10:22:54 PM
In the last week all (or most) of the BTC stocks are in a downwards trend. What are the possible reasons for this? The slow bursting of a bubble or fear of possible SEC action on Bitcoin securities?

I think the market was overheated to begin with so we are seeing people locking in profits.  Also, we have seen an upswing in IPOs so there are more options for the investor to choose from, spreading the money around.

There are a few good deals laying around now for sure, but i think there is now a lot of money on the sidelines waiting for even better entry prices.

Makes sense. I guess most of the people buying/selling are not investors but speculators looking for fast bucks, especially in IPOs like the last ones of BTCGarden and Labcoin.

Month old noobs do not make announcements, start funds or any of the rest of the jazz. See here and stfu.
Hi Mircea,

Been waiting for that one! Even if this was the bible of starting a Bitcoin business, would you care to elaborate in detail what is wrong with our approach?

I'm not Mircea numbnuts, and you're not on a first name basis with MP fo sho.

Other than that the following is wrong with your approach: you're stupid and unqualified. So stupid and unqualified in fact as to be utterly unable to even notice that you are stupid. And unqualified.

[PS. I wish idiot noobs dropped this "we" convention they keep pulling out of their ass every time they feel insecure of their footing. There's no "we" in "stupid" and there's no "our" in idiot. There's just tissues and torrents, in both.

Holy crap... I have to say you get +1 intarneckz from me. You made me laugh, feel a little bad for Smidge, and then laugh again. Doesn't happen often so you're definitely awesome.

(No offense to Smidge... I loved his/her reply regardless of who it was directed at. On that note, I copied it into a text file for further enjoyment in the future)

I don't think it's funny at all... There are ways and ways of saying things and IMO seniority doesn't give anyone the right to insult and talk down to someone like that. MPOE-PR might know a lot but still I think he is just full of himself.

Adeel, I am confused.

I have paid for my shares over a month ago and my name still figures in System 4 where only 30 of the 54 shares have been sold. Which orders have been placed and when? Did you place any order of another system since I paid for my shares?
