Ne, leider sind alle beim Bank. Von Gefühl her waren sie ziemlich gut gemacht und das Hologramm sah auch realistisch aus. Sie waren ein bisschen zu kurz (ca. 1 mm), ich denke deswegen konnte sie die Scheinzählmaschine nicht richtig zählen; danach kamm eine genauere Überprüfung. Wassermarken waren auch drauf; wenn man ein echte Schein zu vergleichen hat kann man kleine Unterschiede sehen aber sonst ist schwierig. Also allgemein war es eine ziemlich gute Fälschung.

Ich fand es bisher auch übertrieben aber jetzt nicht mehr. Jemand den ich nicht kenne muss akzeptieren, dass ich für solche Mengen keine Risiken mehr eingehen will. Beim zahlen in eine Kneipe, Tankstelle, usw. wurden meine Scheine auch schon öfter überpfrüft und ich wurde nicht beleidigt.

After several dozens of successfull transactions without any problems I became a bit too gullible and agreed to sell about 3BTC to a guy without any feedback, who initially tried out all sorts of excuses to avoid meeting me in person (instead he wanted me to give him my address so he could throw the money into my postbox, which I obviously refused). We met at night after he called my from a hidden number and I couldn't check the money properly (and I'm no expert either to recognize fake notes) so I only discovered that it was counterfeit next day when I was trying to deposit it into my bank account.

Needless to say, I had a terrible time (several employees came, took my personal data and kept the money to send it to the Central Bank). Once they confirm that it's fake I will have to go to the police and report the incident. I'm confident that I won't recover the money but at least I hope they can track his identity down from the call he made (although it's almost impossible to prove that the money came from him). Luckily I didn't try to pay anywhere with this money so hopefully I won't get into any legal trouble.

Von solche Erfahrungen lernt man; ich werde mich gleich eine UV Lampe bestellen und viel mehr mit Benutzer ohne Feedback und mit komishcen Verhalten aufpassen. Es war in der Nacht (wenig Licht, schlecht zu überprüfen), und ich bin auch kein Expert zu sagen ob ein Schein falsch ist oder nicht. Er hat zu meine Anzeige beantwortet.

Ich habe gestern ca. 3 BTC an einem Localbitcoins Benutzer verkauft. Es war schon von Anfang an ein bisschen suspekt, dass er mit verschiedenen Ausreden versucht hat zu vermeiden, mit mir in Person zu treffen. Er wollte dass ich ihn meine Adresse gebe sodass er das Geld in meine Briefkaste werfen kann, aber da habe ich natürlich nein gesagt. Dann haben wir vereinbart dass er mich kurz vor anruft und ich zu einem öffentlichen Platz rauskomme wo wir die Transaktion abschliessen können.

Er hat von einem unbekannten Nummer angerufen, ist danach gekommen, hat bezahlt aber am nächsten Tag als ich das Geld in meine Bankkont einzahlen wollte hat die Bankangestellte festgestellt dass die Scheine falsch sind. Ich denke es ist selbstverständlich dass es eine sehr unangenehme Erlebnis war weil mehrere Mitarbeiter gekommen sind, die alle meine Daten aufgenommen haben und die Scheine wurden endlich zum Bundesbank zum überprüfung geschickt. Ich muss ca. eine Woche warten bis der Bundesbank antwortet und dann mus ich eine Anzeige bei der Polizei erstatten.

Das Geld betrachte ich schon als verloren, aber ich denke der Kerl war dumm zu denken dass bei einer Gerichtlicher Anordnung sein Handyanbieter nicht seine Identität an der Polizei geben wird. Natürlich kann man nirgendwie beweisen dass das Geld von ihm gekommen ist, aber ich denke nicht dass ich sein einzige Opfer war und hoffentlich wird er weiter untersucht.

I would be willing to sacrifice/lower this part because with current rates we're looking at several millions of $ in dividends, which is not the best plan for a startup.

IIRC, the IPVO ends officially on the 30th of November. If, as has been the case for the last weeks, no new shares from the initial IPVO are sold, what will happen? The initial goal was to raise 14,097 BTC. At the beginning of September 1 BTC was worth about $120, so the goal was to raise $1.69 million. I remember you saying that the minimum goal of 9500 BTC had been met, which at a current market price (Bitstamp) of $284 means $2.7 million (unless of course you already converted a big chunk of it to fiat, which would be perfectly reasonable).

So going back to the original question: how are you going to make use of this surplus? keep BTC reserves/fiat reserves? additional expansion plans? I guess the option of turning to VC for more funding should be off the table now, right?

with the recent spike in BTC value, isn't there enough money to get the project fully (not just partially) rolling even if there are no more IPO shares sold? Maybe the ownership could be accordingly distributed so current shareholders could get a bigger chunk of the action.

Well if we really get refunds in BTC it wouldn't be that bad with the recent price increases...

Well the first beta test phase took place (I participated in it), and the site looks good although there are still a few details to polish. They said there would be a second beta too.
