As a knicks fan it's been a brutal 20 years.  Terrible for most of it and landed no one in the lottery worth talking about.  Spurs tank twice and end up with Tim duncan and wemby lol.  I'm a general basketball fan so I hope the kid goes on to have a great career but dam can't the Knicks ever land someone like this in the draft!
Perhaps next year.
1-4 at the start of the season. Bad start. Jalen Brunson doing it all for them, with 45 points in their last game against the Milwaukee Bucks. It must be exhausting for him because he is putting a lot of effort into the team and yet there's not much help coming from his teammates.
If I were the Knicks management, I would keep him and pair him with someone else. Try to focus on two players and add some ingredients that will best suit the pair.

How about the Houston Rockets today?
Defeating the Fox-less Sacramento Kings. Dillon Brooks played really well tonight gathering 26 points and then there's Fred VanVleet with a double-double in points and assists, Jabari Smith also dominated with a double-double in rebounds and points, and of course, there's Alperen Sengun whose stats are always phenomenal.
I like the unselfish plays they've shown tonight, 28 assists and they are becoming a team although it's made up of patches. Fred is from Toronto and Brooks is from Memphis. I think they are playing well this year.

Suns are 2-4 right now, lost twice to Spurs, and now lost to 76ers as well, looks like there is something wrong there. Doesn't mean that they are going to keep going like this, they could end up getting a win too, they could even do better on the long run and even win the title, just because they had 6 games doesn't mean they will keep that badly. However, we need to reach to a point where Suns needs to figure something out. Warriors are looking amazing, their starting five was already great, getting CP3 for bench is an insane move, he is way too good too be bench player, they somehow convinced the situation to be a little different. I think it will be something very good for them, they are still contenders if you ask me.

The season might be too early but it also doesn't mean that teams especially those star-studded are expecting a slow start. Losing close games is understandable but the Suns lost badly at home against a weak Spurs and then a double-digit loss to the 76ers. They have no rest and they need to travel again to Detroit so they might lose again although they are facing another weak team.

The Bucks are also 3-2, losing to weaker teams earlier. There's still plenty of time to figure it out but there will be movements before the trade deadline if things aren't changing in these super teams.

GSW started well but I am still unconvinced that they can maintain the top 3 seed in the West. The same with Dallas, Kyrie has been a disaster over the years since leaving Lebron.

It's a big test for them, although I will say that they are still a very young team and with that, I don't see them getting tired with all t his travel and it's one advantage of them. And as we can see, they started to blend and Wemby beginning to assert himself as the main guy for the Spurs.

The Bucks are also 3-2, losing to weaker teams earlier. There's still plenty of time to figure it out but there will be movements before the trade deadline if things aren't changing in these super teams.

It's a different story for the Bucks, it seems that they are struggling and in the games that they have lost, Dame didn't have the usual 25+ points game and he is somewhat lost in the offense.

GSW started well but I am still unconvinced that they can maintain the top 3 seed in the West. The same with Dallas, Kyrie has been a disaster over the years since leaving Lebron.

It's going to be tough, but I think the Warriors has found their ground already. But then again, as compare to the Spurs, their age might hurt them in the second half of the regular season. Not that some of them might be injured or what, but the legs might not stay that long in a grueling 82 games.

I can see the Warriors maintaining their strong performance because they're healthy now, and they've been dominant in the past. The territory they're in now is familiar to them. Despite their struggles last season, people tend to forget how good the Warriors are. Curry is still in his prime, and with CP3 contributing well, it wouldn't be a surprise if they eventually climb to the top and overtake the Nuggets.

In the East, it's a bit different. The Boston Celtics seem to be the clear dominant team, so it's likely they'll end up as the number 1 seed. They deserve that top spot, and according to the betting odds, they're the favorites to win the championship this season.

The Lakers losing to the Magic is pretty embarrassing. They just aren’t a very good team this year. I feel bad for LeBron because he doesn’t have all that many games left but the players he’s being surrounded with are never going to win a title.
Losing by 19 points in just one game is really disappointing, and I'm starting to doubt if the Lakers can replicate their past success from last season. It's possible that letting go of Schroder was a mistake. From what I've seen, during the season when Schroder didn't play for the Lakers, they seemed to face some challenges.

The Suns are having an equally embarrassing year thus far. All the talk about them being the best shooting team ever, but they’re struggling against teams they should easily beat.
It's understandable as they aren't fully healthy yet, Durant alone could not carry this team anymore as he is already "OLD", the same with Lebron alone could the carry the Lakers.

Overtake Nuggets? I doubt that, GSW has a very poor defense in the paint which Nuggets dominate the most plus the fact that they have 3s too and good defense. Joker is unstoppable while his teammates are already contributing consistently on each of their match. MPJ is now showing some consistency on his game to help Jokic on points. I wonder how GSW can stop Nuggets if their accuracy on perimeter shots will be awful. So far Curry is consistent but a good defender will stop him.

Yeah, Most of the team on East is still on adjustment phase. No doubt that Boston will be top seed or 2 since they have their main player that is still performing well. I just hope that they will not choke this year.

I’m impressed on the improvement of White since he have more play time now.

Judging on paper, yes, the Nuggets seem to have the edge over the Warriors. It has always been the weakness of the Warriors, which is their defense in the paint and rebounding, as they choose to play small ball. Just like their game at home against the Kings, there was a huge disparity in rebounding, as the Warriors only got 36 while the Kings had 48. But it ended up well for the Warriors as they won by 1 point. However, the Kings are not the Nuggets, who are the defending champions.

White has been pretty consistent and clutch, so the Celtics are lucky to have him. He was the reason why their series with the Heat in the last playoffs went to game 7 because of his last shot.

However let's talk about Marcus smart, while the Celtics remain undefeated, Smart and his team are still winless. No luck for him.

Yeah, Most of the team on East is still on adjustment phase. No doubt that Boston will be top seed or 2 since they have their main player that is still performing well. I just hope that they will not choke this year.

I’m impressed on the improvement of White since he have more play time now.

I believe White performance during playoffs is what makes him more valuable. This might be the reason why Boston release Smart since White is already showing potential to become a main player which they are correct right now.

Too bad for Smart because Grizzlies is weak without Ja. Smart can’t carry a team since he is just good for support role. He needs to endure a lot of lose game until Ja Morant return or get a win on bottom rank team. Maybe at least 0-30 before he can taste a win?  Grin Grin Grin

The Grizzlies are also sorely missing Steven Adams, who is out for the season due to injury. As for Morant, his current suspension is a clear example of how irresponsible actions of a single player can actually ruin the results of a team and turn it from one of the top teams into an underdog. Honestly, I'm not sure Morant really realizes this and his responsibility to the team.

Yeah, Adams is like somewhat another leader of the team, in terms of experience and presence inside makes a big difference for the Grizzlies. Smart obviously join the Grizzlies because of the big offer on him and maybe he just wanted to get out of the Boston environment as he is the longest tenure player for them.

So it's going to be very hard for the Grizzlies to score a win, unless they face like the Pacers or some low teams that are also not doing good this season. Ja Morant is needed however, he is still under suspension and we don't know if he will not get into trouble again as we have seen that his career has been hit by controversial situation that he himself put into himself.

GSW started well but I am still unconvinced that they can maintain the top 3 seed in the West. The same with Dallas, Kyrie has been a disaster over the years since leaving Lebron.

I might be biased because I'm a big Warriors fan, but I believe they are capable of reaching the top spot in the Western Conference rankings. Just like how people didn't think they'd win a championship in 2022 due to their slow start.

In the East, it's a bit different. The Boston Celtics seem to be the clear dominant team, so it's likely they'll end up as the number 1 seed. They deserve that top spot, and according to the betting odds, they're the favorites to win the championship this season.

Yeah, Most of the team on East is still on adjustment phase. No doubt that Boston will be top seed or 2 since they have their main player that is still performing well. I just hope that they will not choke this year.

I’m impressed on the improvement of White since he have more play time now.

Their biggest issue seems to be choking, particularly when facing the Heat. It appears that the Heat knows how to defeat them, so the Celtics need to regain their confidence.

In fact, it's not just them; even the Bucks struggled against the Heat.

Jayson Tatum becomes youngest to 10,000 career points with Celtics
https://www.nba.com/news/jayson-tatum-youngest-10000-career-points-celtics
What a great achievement for the young star.
Quote
The 25-year-old Tatum is the youngest player in franchise history to score 10,000 points. The previous record holder was Antoine Walker, who was 26.

“It’s kind of hard to process,” Tatum said. “In the moment, it’s a huge accomplishment. I’m extremely blessed to be part of such a great franchise. And I’ve just been fortunate to be on some really good teams; have some really, really good coaches and obviously have some great teammates that have helped contribute to 10,000 points along the way.”
He has more things to do and that includes a championship. But considering how dominant he is right now, it's just time that will tell when he will achieve greatness by getting that ring.

10k points at 25 years old and he has like 12-15 years more in the league. I bet he will break record after record and will be included in the Hall of fame someday. I don't doubt Tatum's skills but there are still times where his lack of experience is showing especially in clutch times. But that can be cured by playing more, gaining confidence, and being on a franchise that would definitely have your back like Kobe did back in his time with the Lakers.
That's his mentor and I am pretty sure that dude is very proud right now watching him achieve this record in his life.

Boston Celtics is very strong this season and they are undefeated. 5-0.

Lakers lost in dramatic fashion, nearly 20 point difference. They really need other players to step up, Lebron and AD alone can't do that much, Austin tried a bit this time around but that didn't really worked out that well for him neither considering they still lost. Inefficiency of the players when Lebron is not around could be their biggest problem, when he is on the floor, even if he doesn't play that well (although he plays well) at least he gets the defenders on him, 35 points just last game, 24 here, and I think the point is that when defenders are on him, others have easier shot selection.

But when he is not around, everyone plays terrible, because they are not aware of what they should do, and end up shooting contested terrible shots. I think it should be noted down that the yare not careful about what they are doing without him, and the coach needs to figure out a way to make them understand how they should play when he is not on the floor.

They are indeed very inconsistent for now, they look for Lebron as their playmaker, and they supposed to improved in their shooting for this year, but that is not the case. Even getting Wood and Hayes as a back up for AD, but they seems to be not adjusting on that. Lebron will be Lebron though, day in day out he will go out and score. But if he didn't get the help that he wanted, they re going to struggle and lost just like what they did here.

And I thought that they have all the advantage against the Magic, size, basketball IQ. But it seems that Ham couldn't really adjust with the new Lakers line up. His plays are still evolved AD and Lebron and if they are not in the floor, they look disorganized.

Rough news about CJ McCollum’s collapsed lung. I hope he’s able to make a full recovery. That seems like a somewhat unusual injury for a basketball player.

Nice to see the Suns win one. I was growing concerned about them.

The Warriors and the Cavs are facing off now. I still don’t understand why the Cavs were the favorites in that game, but I’m expecting the Warriors to bring home the W.

Boston Celtics is very strong this season and they are undefeated. 5-0.
This is a good start and they've always been like this. And speaking of Boston Celtics, I just want to recognize one of their players since I saw this fact that's posted on the web.

It's about Derrick White that has managed to 157 times for the team and missed 2 games. And those two times of being absent were actually has a good and valid reason.

1st was when his first baby was born.

2nd was for the same reason but for the 2nd.

Looks like the Cavaliers did end up beating the Warriors. I’m shocked. I still don’t understand how the Cavs who were 2-4 managed to be the favorites over the 5-1 Warriors, let alone how they ended up actually winning.  You’d think Stephen Curry was injured or something, but other than Draymond Green getting kicked in the balls it seemed like their team was all healthy.

Dereck Lively II
A 19-year-old from Duke. He made a big difference today helping out the Dallas Mavericks to win the game against the super-fast LaMelo Ball and the Charlotte Hornets.
Alley-oops, tip-ins, offensive rebounds, and crucial rebounds, this young guy is doing it all inside the paint. He will definitely get more minutes in their next game against Orlando Magic.

The Mavericks didn't start well and I think the recent loss against the Nuggets has some leftover effects to them and then of course the travel problems and injuries. Thankfully, another player stepped up his game while Jaden Hardy was still in restricted minutes, Grant Williams. 3 critical three-pointers in the 4th quarter gave the Mavs a lead and maybe boosted the energy of all his teammates.
Hornets made a lot of mistakes, LaMelo fouling at the wrong time in the bonus, the 5-second inbound violation by their rookie (this got me curious on why their coach would let him do the inbound), and then missed free throws.
The Mavs won on a close game.

I just hope that CJ's injury will not be a serious one, but knowing that it's a lung injury, I will not be surprised if his career will be affected because of this. It's too early for me to say it though, but let's wait for the official announcement of the team regarding this. CJ has been an important piece of the Pelicans team, and a great offensive player as well. Not having him is a big problem for the Pelicans, and knowing that Zion can just get injure himself anytime, it means trouble for the team.

As for the Suns, they just defeated the Pistons which is we know a below average team. Well, a win is a win, and I hope this will create a momentum for the Suns on their future games. My concern is the health of Beal, and Booker. Booker will play one then miss 2 while Beal missed I think all of the games because of a back injury, and still no timetable for his return.

Warriors lost on the road. Maybe the Cavaliers was favored on this one because they have the homecourt advantage, and it seems like they defended their home. Good win for the Cavs.

I also noticed yesterday that the Cavs were the favorites over GSW. Luckily I was so busy yesterday that I wasn't able to do some more research so I did not make any bets. All of the GSW stars played while the Cavs were enjoying a home-court advantage. So just today I did some research out of curiosity on the odds yesterday. The Cavs while playing at home were actually winless and it's their first win today. And GSW were also undefeated on the road so today is their first loss.

So at the moment, only Boston remained flawless. The first 5 are capable of scoring in any game, it's just crazy, it is so damn hard to guard all of them from point guard to center. I hope they remain healthy throughout the whole season.
