This is the final capitulation.
Russian people are dumping while people in the know already did because of insider information.

This is bottom.
Now for real Cheesy:D

hahaha, might say it again in two weeks ;-)

To bad I'm out of FIAT, otherwise I would have bought again.
1402  Economy / Speculation / Re: Some bad news for a change: Russia's total ban on bitcoin on: October 03, 2014, 12:26:42 PM
Maybe it sounds stupid, but the more I think of it, the more I like the Russian ban.
The only problem is that I can't really believe it. It looks like a serious source though.
Either way, if they approve the law, they are fucked.
If they deny the law, they basically capitulate to bitcoin.

Moon moon moon.
1403  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 03, 2014, 12:13:48 PM
670BTC dump on Stamp.

No kidding.

Plus about 1k on okcoin. By now anyone trusting an exchange or online wallet to hold their coins should be asking themselves "are the coins being dumped mine?".
Well, I'm a permabull with permawallets so I don't care.
Cheesy
1404  Economy / Speculation / Re: Some bad news for a change on: October 03, 2014, 11:59:20 AM
Well, seeing as good news have negative impact on the price, here's some bad news:

Completely crazy regulators in Russia have proposed a law that would make any operations with cryptocurrencies illegal, with fines of 1000 euro for citizens and 2000 euro for organizations. Also, creating software for cryptocurrencies or distributing any information that could lead to creation of cryptocurrencies will be outlawed.

Source article in russian (law is not passed yet, but knowing that puppets vote for laws in Russia, it will be): http://lenta.ru/news/2014/10/03/bitcoins/

to the moon?
To the moon and beyond.
We will prove that bitcoin works without rules.
It's crazy to ban math.

Over $600, easily. (maybe extra zero behind)

Guys.... I'm a whale incognito and I need you to panic sell all of your coins immediately so I can buy in before my planned pump.

Resistance will result in your financial destruction.

Thank you for your cooperation,
:Lyth
If you are a real whale you sound pretty desperate.
Let's buy some extra coins.

Cheap coins confirmed by Bill Gates.
Shroomi can't disagree with that.
Let's dump another 1000 coins!

Heavy manipulating while adoption is growing, the next halving is getting closer (one day at a time  Grin) and people learn about Bitcoin; the current fiat system has not showed clearly to everyone its unsustainability; when it will have the price will spike up to a few thousands Dollars at least, it will be fun
Not sure if you're trolling

[log price chart]
[variation from trend chart]
A backtested strategy suggests buying when the J line (purple) rises above 50 and selling when the J line falls below 50.
January 9th 2012 would not have been a really good time to buy.
Although other moments would have been a very good time to buy according to the strategy.

Do you have an active short position eurotrash? I only ask because you remained extremely vocal and bearish during the paypal spurt back up to 450.

No. Coins in cold storage. Stopped trading a couple of months ago. My coin count is unaffected since then.

Interesting. Were you around in 2011? Does this feel like that in terms of rock bottom sentiment/trolling etc?

I learnt about bitcoin on November 2011 (but invested much later) so I wasn't there to see the carnage and desolation of the time.
I have been through the April 2013 bubble and took out 100% profit in fiat (and some sanity back) in the aftermath. I have seller's remorse, just a tad. Then during this last bubble pop I have had more success trading, but the prolonged bear market has caught me off guard twice in a row. Then I stopped trading. I still have more coins than I had when the November bubble popped.
So far my reason for staying bearish lies in the coincidence between now and 2011 that I see in this chart I made below.

In a way I made my own cult. It's called "cult of the red line". I believe that when the red line will rise above the blue one, then the blue one will have to follow and bring BTCUSD up. For now my cult says that there still are too many coins around and not enough takers.

Amazing chart. One of a few which seems to make sense.
Thanks for sharing.

signed.
Although I think it will make the price drop even more.
But that doesn't matter, let's kill bitcoin while we can!

edit: 706 to go.

I am a unicorn bull, basically perma bull +1... I wont even spend my BTC to buy food.. go hungry son... go hungry..
Me too.
I wondered, what if the whales are desperately trying to shake "weak" hands out while there are no weak hands?
What if they are buying their own coins back and forth and sell a few to me once in a while.
Where is the supply when they finally want to buy back their initial stash?
What if the cultist are much stronger hands than they could ever think of?
I know the answer, moon before 2015

Good lord, are we ever going to find the fkn bottom of this market?  Or just continue to slide $10/week ad infinum?

Unbelievable this crap.

Why is this so unbelievable?
I dont understand why people are so surprised about that. BTCUSD is down about 70% from its high. It is a bear market.

It's always better to follow unbiased technical chart analysis versus letting your emotions "bitcoin love" guide your investment or trading.

I love bitcoin , too. But I have 0 bitcoins right now.

I have to call you out on this.  You have zero bitcoins?  Yet you love Bitcoin?  Sorry I don't buy it.  Anyone who actually loves bitcoin understands bitcoin.  Anyone who understands bitcoin knows that you can't always trust technical analysis due to unforeseen events. Even if you were a perfect chart analyst I don't buy it.
It's simple.
If you love it, you own it.
I love my car, let's sell it.
I love my kids, let's kill them.
I really love that golden ring, let's trade it for some inferior shit.
I really love to go on a holiday, let's decide to stay home.
I really really love bitcoin. Let's sell them all and short that fucker to death.

If you love something, you want to own it.
If you hate it, you want to get rid of it.

People who say that they love *** while they try to sell it and/or kill it are mentally disturbed.

That said, you can always trade *some* bitcoin if you need to pay some bills or want to buy some goods.
1417  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 02, 2014, 02:07:49 PM
On huobi they are dumping coins like there's no tomorrow, this might end in tears.
Bitcoin is dying.
In 15 years I can tell my kids that I was there when it happened.
I can even show them some of those relics of the past because I will keep them coins till death do us part.
1418  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 02, 2014, 01:58:24 PM
Monkey is counting down now, like he means it.  5 days...

Until?

more dumping

Sounds like monkey expects a weekend dump... but to date, it seems that monkey has about a 50/50 batting average, if NOT worse.  Monkey may need to retire early, if s/he gets this one wrong?
It would help if monkey said what he thinks.
1419  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin made rich just a few but it ruined many on: October 01, 2014, 10:03:49 PM

i disagree, i think its important for people to understand the current fiat system in an unsustainable scam.
there is no viable monetary system possible besides bitcoin, which is why sooner or later bitcoin will enrich a whole bunch of people.

anyone who trades bitcoin for bank papers today will look like a greater fool than the guy who traded 10,000 bitcoin for a pizza only four years ago.

I'm not sure if a dollar collapse is good for bitcoin.
Maybe if it takes another 5 years but certainly not now.

Not in 5 yrs, not in 25. The idea that people are gonna flock to more ones and zeros on a screen in a mad max dollar collapses is quite absurd. That's a situation where tangible, hard assets will flourish.

this isn't the 19th century, trade is global.
its not practical shipping gold to pay for goods and services anymore, which is why tangible hard assets will not flourish.
bitcoin is the only system that allows paying for goods and services almost instantly anywhere in the world and without trusting a third party.

it really is perfect money, nothing old even comes close.

It just depends what TPTB allow to be money.
*if* they pull the plug out of the internet, gold will be the medium of exchange.
If they allow the world to turn around another 100 years, it could be bitcoin that saves the day.
