1241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Blockchain technology will pervade, but not bitcoin." on: November 01, 2014, 11:12:31 AM
I've heard that phrase thousands of times, and I've thought about it enough to be sure I don't agree.
Bitcoin is necessary for the blockchain to exist, without the incentive, there are no miners and there is no network to rely on.
If you assert that the blockchain will pervade, you necessarily imply bitcoin as a currency will too.

What do you think?
I compare it with bittorrent.
You see that popular files are being shared, but older files are not because there is no incentive to share longer term.
The decentralized system however works perfectly fine.
Bitcoin is different to bittorrent because there is money involved. People see bitcoin tokens as money (nobody forced them) so there will be incentive to share and mine bitcoins.
If there was no value involved in bitcoin the network would have died long ago.

Just my two satoshis

Exactly when people notice a pattern, is when the pattern changes.
Could this be related to quantum theory?
When an observer is manipulating the outcome of the experiment just by looking at it?
Look up double slit experiment, fascinating stuff.

shroomsie is actually fonzie.

oh boy. didnt expect that.
I like fonzie better.
Besides, shroomie ignored me, so I ignored him back. And he is also not invited to my birthday party.

Damn, some people might even think I'm a troll,.. or maybe worse,... another alter ego of fonzie. Undecided

I am telling you sub $330 BTC will never happen again.  If it does I will never post in this thread again.  Huge pumps are incoming in the next few mins / hours.
Well well well, seems like you can still post on this thread. Wink
I had to edit this reply before sending because I had some text waiting for days with waving you goodbye and wishing you all the best Grin Grin
1245  Economy / Speculation / Re: QE3 ended, good or bad news for BTC price? on: October 30, 2014, 12:57:15 PM
you cant stop printing the money or the cake flops. They will commencing further printing as soon as the economy starts tipping. if they dont.... we will see massive deflation, collapse of global markets. could be really good for bitcoin both ways.
Bring in the unicorns when the complete world is in misery!

Let's hope that the world moves forward and just adopt bitcoin for the greater good.
1246  Economy / Speculation / Re: Be that guy on: October 30, 2014, 07:08:56 AM
anyone who thinks bitcoin has already hit its full potential is delusional.
the market for bitcoin is the entire world, how many people have them? almost none.
anyone who is lucky enough to understand bitcoin today and be in a position to buy it is going to be extremely rich in 20 years.

the current paper money regime is not going to last for much longer, its been collapsing for the past 14 years and is now on life support in the form of permanent zero interest rates.
the only alternatives are precious metals and bitcoin.
i'd like to see you buy something on ebay with gold, bitcoin is the only option for honest money in the modern world.
I totally agree.
Either we go back in time using gold or we go into the future using bitcoin.
It's just what TPTB allow to happen.
But I don't think they will switch off the internet because otherwise they cannot share and download their kiddy porn.
So biggest chance is bitcoin taking over the world.
But always make sure you have some precious metals as well, you never know for sure
1247  Economy / Speculation / Re: QE3 ended, good or bad news for BTC price? on: October 30, 2014, 06:54:38 AM
I'm not U.S. citizen. But apparently what Uncle Sam does has global influence.
So... Read in the newspaper, U.S. QE3 ended. Is this a good or bad news for BTC price?
There is always a difference between what they say and what they do. Watch their balance sheet, it will expand with 1 trillion usd again this year, mark my words.

Can someone tell me why the candles at bitcoin.de always have an upper shadow above the avarage price but almost never a lower shadow?
To me it looks like demand is higher than supply -> bullish.

1250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want to spend and replenish but it doesn't make any sense on: October 29, 2014, 02:48:33 PM
I love bitcoin and have a loaded wallet on my smartphone ready to spend,
Sounds very dangerous to me.
Never put more than pocket change on your hot wallets!

Pocket change is for everybody different, but I would say 1BTC is more than enough for most things.
1251  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 29, 2014, 12:13:20 PM
Sideways on low volume for a few days means it's dumping time on bitfinex. Probably revisiting 330s.
Don't worry, we were promised that we'd never see 330 again.

I am telling you sub $330 BTC will never happen again.  If it does I will never post in this thread again.  Huge pumps are incoming in the next few mins / hours.

It just hit me that Money20/20 is next week.

Expect some big announcement from Bitcoin companies.
The next 24 announcements are critical for bitcoin's existence.

My signature campaign does not allow me to post only "lol" so I spend one full sentence on it. Grin

Sig campaign!  No wonder you've been spamming this thread with nonsense Angry
Why not? This thread is the biggest collection of random brain farts to be found at bitcointalk.
I'm very happy to earn 0,1 btc a month with my personal contribution to this thread.
This thread can't be much more broken than it already is.

Besides, I was never able to read your hilarious reaction otherwise, thanks! Wink

I'm very happy about the disclaimer about the symbol, it's horrible.

By Monday, you'll agree with me.

Thanks for the insider information!
I really made some huge profit from these pumps.
Can't wait for them to start again!
1259  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Selling btc to minors on: October 27, 2014, 09:39:30 PM
If selling face to face with cash I'd probably ask them to bring a parent or even take a friend with you.
The kid is 15 you don't want them to end up being a weirdo, accusing you of being a pedophile etc.
Wow, what an insane statement.
Like if you sell a 2nd hand video game to a 15 year old it would immediately get you accused of pedophilia.

Damn, once you're an adult you can only have contact with adults anymore!

As long as the law says something isn't illegal to sell, you should not have a problem with it.
1260  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 27, 2014, 07:54:02 PM
What about TPTB announcing bitcoin to be world reserve currency? Wink
