What porn did to VHS is what gambling will do to bitcoin. Seriously, bitcoin makes gambling a much niver experience than it was before. We get all kinds of new games and you can demand the game to be provable fair (big benefit)

Is there a chart which shows the posts being made to this thread over time? I have the impression that this thread is much less active than a few weeks ago. I would like to know if there is a big correlation with the price movement (whichever direction)

waiting my payments
Probably tomorrow. The campaign runs from monday till Sunday. Last week we were also paid on Monday. No updates in spreadsheet. Well, at least posts are already counted. Just be patient. He will pay, just like last week.

You could put it into your will at a notary.
One of the benefits of the blockchain is that we don't need notaries anymore in the future. There is a nice website where you can (secretly) store documents on the blockchain and proof that you wrote them at a certain date. http://www.proofofexistence.com/With multisig you can solve the rest.

Next 24 hours are extremely critical. I expect a dramatic price drop to at least $315.
But hey, don't listen to me. I usually get everything wrong. You'd better trade the opposite and make profit.

It also provides selling pressure, means price is going down.
The Microsoft hype might offset the downward selling pressure for a time. Bitcoin's only chance of long-term success is if it can make inroads into the wage payment layer of the economic machine. Oh. of course don't get me wrong. Long term this is absolutely bullish! I think the opposite is true short term though. Unless people buy back their bitcoins right after they spend them.

Uhm, this is quit old news already. There are also a few other threads about it. But, to have a discussion: First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.
Mahatma Gandhi
Since they use bitpay, they are still in the ignoring phase It also provides selling pressure, means price is going down. yes, but for every selling pressure there is also a buying pressure. Which would potentially make price go up. Evens out. You mean for every seller there must be a buyer, that's true. But when there are more sellers than buyers, then the price usually goes down. Offering items through bitpay means people buy stuff from you but the merchant get's (mainly) dollars.

it really amazes me that even with the microsoft announcement, the price has remained where it is. what the heck is holding it down?
You should know by now that the market doesn't move by single news items. News is constantly moving the market. Some buy people buy bitcoin instantly, some others want to think about it for a few days and discuss it with other people. The traders that are able to move the market in milliseconds are not affected by this news, because it is already priced in. Heck, the fact that bitcoin will be GRC is already priced in for me personally because I'm a long term holder and only spend my coins when they are 100x worth than what they are now.

The euro is weak lately. Take USD.
Yes, buy high, sell low! No, better keep all the coins and only convert just enough to pay the electricity bills and hardware.

Since I also have a singature campaign, leaving a comment is always a good idea. This comment pays twice! 1FdwDuV2qgsw2w1Lza8nsea7L6mQxsc7g3

Good point. Although i would find "i know you are but what am i" reply from newbie just as intelligent but more entertaining. Don't let me stop you continue with your trolling...
On ignore you go, i really did try not to all this time, posters of ponies and Chinese propaganda will be missed
NotLamchop is useful in this thread by being so ultra troll/bearish that all other bears/trolls do not bother trying to compete. This allows for a simple ignore of only one user making it easier on everyone thus turning this thread into the most bullish thread on bitcointalk. Wow, you could make peace out of war with reasoning!

1. Your current balance 2. The avaiable balance for trade 3. profit / loss, since you have an open position its unrealized 4. Swap is a very low amount which if you open your trade during the night it will add or deduce to your balance. if you sell it will deduce a fee if you had opened buy position the amount will add to your balnce or vise vera. you should test it. 5. your current balance if you close your position now. 6. minimum amount for trade. 7. total tradeable money 8. when you open a position 30% of your balance deduce for margin. actully you trade just by 30% of your money. 9. no clue!
1. the amount you opened position by. 2. price when you opened the position. 3. no clue! 4. Profit / loss 5. you're right! 6. your position is not opened a long time (during the night) so its zero. 7. swap calculating day by day.
That of all people a newbie is helping me! Thanks a lot! (wonder if the rest knows what they're doing)

findftp and aliveonearth: This is certainly the ugliest python one-liner I've ever written... but here it is anyways It's not ugly, it's genious! python -c "import os.path as p,urllib2 as u,json;n='wallet.aes.json';assert not p.exists(n),n+' exists';i=raw_input('ID: ');r='https://blockchain.info/wallet';o=u.build_opener(u.HTTPCookieProcessor());d=0;exec '''while d==0:\n try:d=json.load(o.open(r+'/%s?format=json'%i)).get('payload')\n except u.HTTPError as e:raw_input(e.read()+'\x5cn\x5cnRetry...')''';m=d or raw_input('2FA: ');d=d or o.open(r,'method=get-wallet&guid=%s&payload=%s&length=%d'%(i,m,len(m))).read();open(n,'wb').write(d)" 1. Copy and paste the one-liner into a terminal (command prompt). In Windows, you'll probably need to add "C:\Python27\" to the beginning. 2. After pressing Enter, it will ask you for your wallet ID. 3. If you have an email address associated with your account, it will display a (very long) error message which starts with this: {"initial_error":"Authorization Required. Please check your email." You'll need to follow the directions in the email you receive from BC.i and click on the "Approve" button. Only after doing so, press the Enter key (at the "Retry..." prompt in the terminal window). 4. If you have two-factor authorization enabled on your account, you'll receive a prompt asking for your 2FA code. (If it's an email or an SMS 2FA, you should receive it from BC.i shortly). 5. Once the above is complete, a wallet.aes.json file will be created in the current directory (the script will fail with an error message at step 2 if such a file already exists). Let me know if this works (or doesn't)! I don't have an active blockchain.info address anymore, but I tested it untill the emal part with a wallet ID posted earlier in this thread. Since I already have the wallet of my friend I don't need it urgently but I will archive this for future purpose. I'm still in the process of bruteforcing the wallet, but my friend not really seems to care about his 0,2 BTC because I did not hear from him anymore regarding that point. I'll bet he'll come back when price is in 4 digits again Thanks for the help, you'll probably help someone else with the onliner

Show us a wallet address and a signed message first! Best answer. If you are into bitcoin for years and managed to mine and trade to make more, you should not ask these questions because you would already know. Sign a message first, you sound not legit.

It's a pitty I don't have the balls, but I really should sell all my bitcoins and sell some more on margin because I am 100% confident that we are going lower to at least 300 within 4 weeks Take it as free advice.
You are always free to donate me some satoshis you earned by listening to me. You can find my address on my profile page.
Damn it. I should put my money where my mouth is. Too bad I then have to break one of my golden rules...
I'm a greedy scared motherfucker, that's why.
