1361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: January 01, 2016, 10:33:39 PM
Because bitcoin is harder to use than flat money. It doesn't have any physical form, just all virtual.
There's a lot of people out there that even dont understand how to open a website.

in short, a lot of people didn't understand.

That is the biggest problem that we are facing and we want that more and more people adopt bitcoin as a currency but they don't want to learn something new and hesitate to invest in crypto and they don't have faith in virtual currency.
1362  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2016, The Year of Bitcoin? on: January 01, 2016, 10:30:23 PM
This year will be good for Bitcoin whether we talk about huge price rise or popularity. As we will going towards halving we will see the effect of it on price and can see again 1k $ by the mid of this year.

I couldn't agree more with you. Bitcoin price will be increasing until 1000$, perhaps. And then bitcoin will get it glory moments anymore.

We really wish that the price of bitcoins should reach to that level but its difficult to predict what future holds for us when it comes to bitcoins, but yes the year 2016 would be definitely the better year for bitcoins as compared to the past and we want that the price should be more stable.
1363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do people around you think about Bitcoin ? on: January 01, 2016, 10:26:57 PM
I was just talking to my buddy today about Bitcoin and he does not agree with how things will get better with holding bitcoin in the future.  he is one of those uneducated people who think that bitcoin is only used in the black market and that nothing good and legal can come of it.  So i educated him a bit and he might get on board.

Every coin has two sides and so does bitcoins, but the important thing is how we view at it and how we treat it, either positive or negative, so its good that you recommended your friend to use bitcoins now it is totally his decision how he views bitcoin.
1364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: January 01, 2016, 10:19:32 PM
Some good investments in altcoins is always good.
Make sure to hold your coins though, don't panic sell.

Don't just keep on holding if you are earning profits at present price then sell some of your bitcoins and enjoy the profits and wait again for the price fall so that you can buy some more bitcoins and keep it safe in your digital wallet and that is the right way to grow your bitcoins.
i just buy when it falls and sell it one it's profitble sometimes it keeps going down so i recommand to not sellit for half or less because you must wait for it to go back up and minimaze your losses

That's the good strategy to follow and with good strategy you would surely earn profits and minimize your losses, and people are getting more into bitcoins trading as it is very volatile as compared to forex or stock trading so you can make good profits in short period of time.
1365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: paypal or bitcoin? on: January 01, 2016, 10:14:52 PM
Paypal was effective till Bitcoin was not this popular.I did few transaction with Paypal but must admit there is no comparison between both.Bitcoin is future of online transactions.
I agree, but until Bitcoin can be a protected form of payment for buyers, I do not see Paypal going anywhere any time soon.  I do not like the fact that Paypal can control things when it comes to whether or not your customer is wrong, but this is how buyers feel comfortable.

Bitcoin can't offer any kind of support. You can only get support via a third party. But then again, they will most likely force you to buy yourself a certain form of insurance.

Bitcoin without any support makes it hard to get accepted global.
When dealing with money people need support as to why and whom things are happening or about to happen f.e.

The problem that bitcoin is facing at a moment is that it is not getting the support from the government and the banking system, once the government comes in support of bitcoin it is sure that paypal would disappear in the market and even if it doesn't disappear there would be fall in its customer base.
1366  Other / Off-topic / Re: what you like best in Bitcoin ? on: January 01, 2016, 10:09:53 PM
I like the fact that this is not controlled by any government.  I like that we have control over this and what we do can not be easily traced to any one person unless someone is really resourceful.  I like that I can buy what ever I want and there is no internet presence watching what I am buying and sending me a bunch of advertisements telling me to buy more of what they recommend.

Decentralization is one of the main things of bitcoin, but i like the usability too.
Sending money to somewhere miles away is so easy.

Yeah and that also with the minimum fees and in fraction of seconds and that is the best thing about bitcoins, I generally use bitcoins for online transfers or converting to my local currency and I have total control over my money without any government interventions.

Yeah having control of your own money is the best.
When you want to pay someone money, it doesn't make sense to ask your bank for permission if the amount is over your daily/weekly limit right.

Exactly and with the existence of bitcoins we don't need to be dependent on bank as we have our own bank and we can access our money at any stage and at any time and that is the best thing about bitcoins, and ofcouse no bank holidays for sure.
1367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: December 31, 2015, 02:30:22 PM
I think that I will stop using bitcoin maybe if in my real life i have much enough of money ..  but for now i will stay using bitcoin  Wink

Once you start using bitcoins you can never stop yourself from using bitcoins, I believe holding and earning bitcoins is something like addiction where you want more and more bitcoins in your digital wallet and I bet when people starts using bitcoins they will never quit.
1368  Other / Off-topic / Re: Complete the sentence... "I would sell all my Bitcoins if..." on: December 31, 2015, 02:25:59 PM
If BTC price reaches more than $2000 then selling the BTC wouldn't seem like a very bad idea IMO
I agree with that, however i do not see it reaching that high.  Maybe close, around 1,600 or so, which then it still would be worth selling, but I see no reason or facts behind why it would raise that high, unless there was a large demand for using it to pay for something specific.

Yeah that is true but I don't think that it can reach $1600 there is possibility that it might reach to $1000 and even that price would be the best to sell bitcoins and earn profits, but surely I wouldn't sell all my bitcoins even if the value crosses $1000, I would surely keep few for the future.
1369  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin worth to you or not... on: December 31, 2015, 02:21:14 PM
Worth for me because it allows to send and receive money instantly anytime and anywhere. There is no bank holiday, no national boundaries, no limit imposed. Bitcoin gives the user full control over the money.

That is the best thing about bitcoins that the bitcoins transaction works 24/7 where you can convert your bitcoins to fiat instantly and at any mode of time which the least fees so bitcoins can take care of us at the time of emergencies and banks can never offer that.
1370  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: December 31, 2015, 02:17:42 PM
Coinbase CEO believes bitcoin will replace dollar within 15 years.

Read the following news:
http://cointelegraph.com/news/114983/coinbase-ceo-bitcoin-will-replace-dollar-within-15-years

Do you think it will be true? Are you positive towards bitcoin's future status?
i do not believe that bitcoin will replace the dollar within 15 years, it is still too soon, though within 15 years bitcoin will be more popular, but it will not replace the dollar.

Exactly it will take a long time that bitcoin will replace dollar and I don't see this is near future, as I believe that btc can never replace any major currency as still bitcoin is new to many people around and they would surely have more faith in dollar as compared to bitcoins.
1371  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: December 31, 2015, 02:12:20 PM
What are the future projections for Bitcoin?
future project bitcoin in my opinion is the adoption of a great future and how to determine the currency bitcoin as well as an investment tool, and popularizing bitcoin as a currency used as payment by many shops and countries.

Yeah and it will also dependent on the awareness level and the adoption level of the people and mostly how much people have faith in bitcoins as a currency, all this factors will determine the success or failure of bitcoins in future. If adoption is high then bitcoin will be successful.
1372  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: December 31, 2015, 02:09:29 PM
IMO it's a great decision to invest a small amount (that you are ready to let go and won't need or be very angry if you lost that amount of money) in BTC, btc has huge potentials but is very difficult to predict.

Yeah we cannot predict the price and future of bitcoins as we are not sure where it would be standing in future, presently bitcoin is moving in positive way so without thinking of future we need to concentrate in present and try to make as money as possible at present from bitcoins.
1373  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: December 31, 2015, 02:06:17 PM
If this was Goldtalk.com people have different approaches but this is Bitcointalk and it's obvious the majority choose Bitcoin over gold. Here majority believe this technology and support it.
Ask this question in a random stock market forum, you'll see the differences.

There are good reasons to choose for bitcoin. Not only the speed, but most of all the special features bitcoin has.
I am aware that Gold has them too, but to a younger generation bitcoin is just more appealing.

At a moment, investing in bitcoin is good, but if look at the history then gold is more powerful and has a great future too, as gold is in existence since long time it has more users as compared to bitcoins so for short term btc is good but for long term gold will win the race.
1374  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Bitcoin always be dependent on fiat? Is it? on: December 31, 2015, 02:02:49 PM
Bitcoin is dependent on fiat because its value is calculated on dollar.I don't have idea how long it will be dependent like this but someday things will change in future.

I don't think that it will done in future, bitcoin will always be dependent on fiat until the day comes when all merchants and shops starts accepting bitcoin as a mode of payment but it would take a long time and we are not sure whether it will happen or not.
1375  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: December 31, 2015, 01:59:40 PM
i want to spend my retired days with luxury thats why i am investing my present time to earn good bitcoins and 2 bitcoins is not enough for me ! i think i need  more than 1k  bitcoin in my account then my all dreams become true

Yeah we want that our retirement life should be full of luxuries so we cannot think of any specific amount of bitcoins to hold, more bitcoins means more luxuries into store, totally depends on your life style and standard of living and the country you are living in.
1376  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat on: December 31, 2015, 01:51:19 PM
The fiat can never be replaced by anything else, it has some advantages that online currencies does not have it, for example policies of governments usually can prevent from exacerbating it and high fluctuations.

Yes fiat would be always on top when it comes to currency and it is widely used and widely accepted and that is the reason it is far above bitcoins as bitcoins in not widely used yet and people are not aware about the bitcoins and don't have faith in bitcoins.
1377  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: December 31, 2015, 01:48:17 PM
Is it better to save money in bank or invest it online, in real estate or maybe gold?
I always thought that to save money and frugality is a kindness that will be very useful for the future, and I will choose an investment bank (including bitcoin) or investments in property, rather than large-risk investments such as online Investments.

Online investments are bit risky, invest in such thing where the returns are fixed and confirmed, like real estate where you can earn good profits in long term, and if you want to make small investments then investing in fixed deposits and life insurance can be a better option as you will earn some interest in long run.
1378  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: December 31, 2015, 01:32:17 PM
It is worth waiting for a "realistic" low. $100 may be realistic, but in my opinion, by this time in the Bitcoin world, majority of people have bought in with an average price higher than $100 that unless a bunch of whales dump to kill the price, will we not see $100.

Also note, that it is not wise for whales to dump to $100, because as long as they dump slowly, they can exit at a price of $400 vs $100...

I would say that if we dip back to $250 that is certainly a nice price to hop in at.
I agree and think that 100$ is a low price for bitcoin and it is a danger for it and can ruin the view of public about future of bitcoin, maybe 250$ is fine but the more important thing is stagnancy of prices.

Yeah and I don't think that bitcoin will fall to that level in the coming period of time, and if it does then people would surely start loosing their faith from bitcoins and that can be dangerous for the bitcoins to exist and regaining trust from people would take a long time.
1379  Economy / Economics / Re: Holdings of gold vs Holdings of btc on: December 31, 2015, 01:23:26 PM
A little bit of both, just in case one chrashes. At current time, bitoin price fluctuates more, but gold can also drop or rise very hard in a short period.
both are the same to have fluctuations the difference is gold is more stable
but I heard the price of gold will go decline, I would choose withstand bitcoin Cheesy

Both are not same because when gold's value goes down it doesn't go down with a huge margin and neither it increase with huge margin it's more stable when compared with Bitcoin but BTC can shoot up real quick and with huge margin just like how we doubled our value this year. But I appreciate your choice to withstand with BTC even I will do the same

Yeah btc is more volatile as compared to gold or forex and if you want to make quick profits by trading then btc is the right choice, as the volatility rate of bitcoins is too high and it can give you great profits, so I would choose btc over gold.
1380  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: December 31, 2015, 01:20:16 PM
I am a newbie in the world of bitcoin so just a simple question to expert buyers. Should I invest my money on bitcoin right now ? Currently 1 bitcoin is going for 423$ so thinking  Huh

Thanks

If you can afford to buy at a moment then that would be the best investment for you for the future as everyone believes that the value of bitcoin would be much higher in the year 2016 no doubt right now the price has gone up as compared to previous months but still this is the right time to collect more bitcoins.
